Chapter 21

Annabeth POV

Annabeth felt guilty right now, she felt guilty for led her friend into dangerous situation. After Hera left, they decided to continue their quest and followed Annabeth. But Annabeth led them into dangerous situation, she led them into Alcatraz where Kampe guarding Briares. After that they being chased by Kampe and Kampe almost caught Pearl if Percy didn't grab her hand and pulled her faster. After that they tried to release Briares after Tyson begged Percy to bring him too. But Briares too scared to move and that made Percy decided to trick him. Finally, Briares followed Percy and they barely escaped from Kampe. But unfortunately Briares refused to follow them further and he just sat on the ground and didn't want to move or talk to anybody even Tyson, who now crying because of Briares didn't want to come with them. And now they walked again in the darkness of the labyrinth, and Annabeth tried her best to figure out which is the right way that will lead them into Daedalus workshop.

"I think I saw a light" Percy said.

Annabeth stopped and she squint her eyes and she saw it too. She hoped that the light was coming from Daedalus workshop, but her hope crushed when she saw a ranch. Annabeth sighed and she rubbed her forehead tiredly. Percy knew that Annabeth was a little stress and he decided to rub her back gently.

"It's okay Annabeth" Percy said "We will make it"

Annabeth smiled weakly and she nodded "Thank you"

"Er guys" Pearl poked Percy arm "Is it me or that dog has two heads and he is glaring at us"

Percy followed Pearl gaze and found the dog "Yep, It has two head and glaring at us"

The dog began to bark loudly and ready to attack at any time.

"Good doggy" Pearl murmured.

"He is angry and said that we were trespassed his territory and he about to eat us" Grover said.

"Okay" Annabeth said and she took a few stepped back "That doesn't sound good"

"Orthus! Come here boy!"

Annabeth turned and found a huge guy walked towards them, the dog Orthus took a few stepped back and ran towards the man but he still growled towards Annabeth. Percy hand twitched and his hand already gripped riptide ready to attack the man in front of him anytime. But Annabeth hand held Percy hand and told him to take it easy.

"Who are you guys?" The man barked and he glared at them one by one.

"We are demigods sir" Annabeth said politely "We just passing through"

The man narrowed his eyes "You came from that labyrinth behind you right?"

"We are on a quest" Annabeth answered "My name is Annabeth daughter of Athena, this is Percy son of Poseidon, and that is Pearl daughter of Amphitrite and Grover he is a satyr, and Tyson a Cyclops"

"I can see that, I'm not blind" the man grumbled "I'm a demigod too; my name is Eurytion, son of Ares"

"Er, can I ask you something?" Pearl decided to speak.

"Go ahead" Eurytion said.

"How did you know that we're from the labyrinth?" Pearl asked again.

"That's easy girl" Eurytion answered and scratched his cheek "One of you came here last night from that labyrinth too"

Annabeth hand twitched "Is it a boy with dark hair, pale skin and black eye?"

Eurytion looked at Annabeth curiously "Yeah that's right? Do you know that boy?"

"Nico, Nico di Angelo" Percy said grimly "Yeah, I knew him"

"You said you on the quest right?" Eurytion looked at Annabeth "You may go, but quickly and don't come back here"

"Sound good to me" Grover said quickly while looked at Orthus with uneasy looks.

"No" Percy said firmly "We're not going anywhere until we meet Nico and bring him with us"

Eurytion sighed and shook his head "I guess I have no other choice than bring you to my boss"

-Line Break-

Annabeth didn't know what to say when she saw the boss that Eurytion mentioned, he called Geryon and he had three heads, three body, and two legs. Percy even gaped at that sight and Annabeth had to grip his hand and squeezed it tight to prevent Percy said anything stupid and made them killed. Geryon said something like welcome and please enjoyed your stay in here. Suddenly Nico appeared from inside the house and started to say that Geryon too slow or something like that. But he stopped mid sentences when he saw Percy. Nico quickly drew his sword and pointed it at Percy, but suddenly a sword appeared in front of Percy and blocked Nico sword.

"Not so fast" Pearl growled at Nico.

Nico glared at Pearl "Did I know you? You better step back, this is my business with Percy" Nico hissed.

"Percy is my brother, so his problem is mine too" Pearl said "You want to hurt him, over my dead body"

Nico looked surprised when Pearl said that "You…did you just say that you're Percy sister?"

Pearl rolled her eyes "Yes"

"I never knew that" Nico murmured.

"Enough!" Eurytion yelled.

Pearl and Nico lowered their sword and glared at Eurytion at the same time.

"Put down your weapon" Eurytion said sharply "Boss hate to see that thing" and he pointed at Nico and Pearl sword.

Slowly Pearl turned his sword back into necklace while Nico sheathed his sword back. Geryon just watched them with interest looks before turned to Percy and Annabeth.

"Now would you like to have a tour?" Geryon asked cheerfully "And please Nico and you girl with black hair, no fight or maimed or killed each other"

Pearl crossed her arm and glared at Geryon "It's Pearl"

Geryon ignored Pearl completely and he told Eurytion to take the car and gave a tour. Nico protested and Geryon ignored him completely. Annabeth took a quick glanced towards Nico and she felt sorry for him. He's still young and he had to live alone, she knew that Bianca Nico older sister died last winter when on a quest. Annabeth knew that feeling, she been there once when she was young, alone and no one protect her, until Luke and Thalia came. Luke, Annabeth turned towards Pearl who still looked at Nico sharply, Annabeth wondered what happened between them, but she knew Luke loved Pearl so much. She knew it because on the last quest when Thalia hit Pearl and pushed her, Luke became angry and tried to attack Thalia because she's hurting Pearl.

"Annabeth"

Annabeth turned and found Pearl stood beside her, Pearl looked uneasy and a bit nervous, more like afraid of something.

"I have a bad feeling about that person over there, I mean Geryon." Pearl whispered "He kinda looked strange to me, I mean come on he didn't questioned about us or anything. It almost like demigods come here through labyrinth is a regular thing"

Annabeth looked at Pearl with amazed looks, looks like Athena her mom really blessed Pearl, because Annabeth almost didn't notice that fact.

"We have to get out from here before things turn ugly" Pearl whispered "And about Nico, we should kidnapped him, dragged him with us and come back to labyrinth quickly"

"I agree with you" Annabeth said back "But, I guess Geryon will not let us leave this place easily"

Pearl sighed and looked at the field in front of her "I know that won't be easy, but still this place creep me out"

"Beside we can get some information from him about Daedalus Workshop, and I really need that right now" Annabeth said.

"Okay I understand" Pearl said but not too happy about it "But if something went wrong we leave this place"

Annabeth just nodded and she took a deep breath, she just hope that the decision she made is the right one, not the dangerous one.

Percy POV

Percy didn't believe it for a second that Geryon held his friends and made him cleaned the horse stable. Not ordinary horse but this horse ate flesh and that didn't make Percy task any better. The stable was so dirty and made a dumpster looks like a heaven, for him anyway. The horses ran around, and there's a pile of pop and they didn't seem like care about it, worse they seemed like enjoyed it a lot. Percy tried to reason with them and told them that he's going to clean their stable and also the fact that he's son of Poseidon. But instead of bowed down and respect him, the horse wanted to want to eat Percy and his father, Poseidon. Percy let out a frustrating sighed and he walked down towards the river not too far from the stable. Percy thought that he will use the water to clean the stable but a girl appeared and she tried to stop Percy to do that. Percy quickly knew who the girl was, she is the river nymph, and Percy knew why she refused Percy idea. A pile of pop on your river well, it will destroy the water and kill all of inhabitant in that river. But Percy ran out of time and he didn't have any idea what should he do to clean the stable and his friends live is on the line, if he didn't cleaned the stable before the sunset his friends will be gone or Geryon will sell them into Kronos army.

Finally the Nymph gave him an idea how to clean the horse stable, the nymph told him to use some of the fossil that scattered r=around the river shore. At first Percy dug some of it and threw it on the horse stable, and expected something will happen but nothing happened. But he felt something familiar inside his gut; Percy closed his eye and tried to call the sea water through the fossil. He felt a tug in his stomach and when he opened his eye he saw a fountain of sea water came from the fossil. Quickly he grabbed some more of it and threw it at the horse stable and more of water came from it. And the most interesting part is when the water didn't flow into the river but the ground absorbed it, so Percy didn't have to worry about polluting the river. For a while things went smoothly, but when Percy saw some of the water started to head to the river Percy used all his strength to stop it. He barely managed to stop it and he dropped on his knee panted hard. Percy pushed himself up and smiled when he saw the horse stable. It's very clean now and even the horse looks clean, like someone just bathed them and brushed their teeth. Percy nodded his head at this sight and walked towards Geyron house, when Percy arrived he saw his friends tied up into the house pole and their mouth is gagged.

"I'm done, so as you promised before let my friend go" Percy said and he crossed his arms.

Geryon turned to Percy and grinned evilly "Sorry but I can't let that happened. You see, Kronos will pay me a lot of money if I gave your friend to his army" Geyron walked towards Pearl and took some of her hair "Especially this one" and he kissed it.

Pearl struggled and tried to move away from Geryon. Percy growled when he saw that, he glared at Geryon and his hand reached for Riptide that he kept in his pocket.

"Don't touch her" Percy growled "I'll kill you if you touched her again"

Geyron laughed and he stood up "Try me boy, nobody can beat me"

Percy pulled riptide from his pocket and he uncapped it, Geryon growled when he saw that. Percy pointed his sword at Geyron and he challenged Geyron.

"You're going to regret it brat" Geyron stepped forward and readied to attack Percy.

Percy quickly charged into Geyron and tried to attack him. Percy slashed his sword and Geyron deflected it with his knife which he took from the table beside him. Percy jump backwards and Geyron threw the knife at Percy direction, Percy deflected it with his sword and it landed not too far from Annabeth place. Percy quickly dashed towards Geyron and stabbed him in the chest. Geyron bellowed in pain and he fell on his knee, but instead of turned into golden dust, Geyron smirked evilly and stood up again. His wound on his chest started to heal.

"Impossible" Percy said and he readied his sword again.

"It's useless boy, I have three hearts" Geyron said and laughed hard "You cannot kill me with that toothpick"

Percy attacked him again but Geyron already knew Percy intention, he side stepped and swatted Percy like he's a fly. Percy flew a few meters and landed right next to Annabeth who tried to pick up the knife with her feet. Geyron took another knife from the table beside him and walked towards Percy.

"Time to die boy" Geyron said.

Percy quickly pushed himself up and ran towards the house, inside there he tried to rack his brain, how to kill Geyron and with what? Geyron already inside the house and now he stalked towards Percy slowly as if he's enjoying Percy panicked face.

"You have to stab all his heart if you want to kill him!"

Percy surprised when he heard his girlfriend voice, Annabeth. Percy took a quick glanced towards Annabeth who now tried to cut the rope which tied Pearl.

"How can I do that? I cannot stabbed him simultaneously" Percy yelled back.

"Use the bow and arrow" Annabeth said.

"What, are you kidding me?" Percy gaped at this "You know I'm really suck at Archery right"

"Believe in yourself Percy" Annabeth said and she managed to set Pearl free "I'm believe in you"

"You can do it Percy" Pearl said and she gave encouraging smiled to Percy.

"Bah, you brats" Geyron hissed "Eurytion what are you doing? How can you let those two brats escape?!"

Eurytion just looked at Geyron with bored looks "I don't care; you want to capture them again, do it for yourself. I'm tired for doing all your dirty work"

"You impudent fool!" Geyron roared in anger "I'll kill you after I kill them"

"Go ahead" Eurytion said and yawned.

Using that moment Percy quickly grabbed the bow and an arrow, he quickly aimed it at Geyron left side direction. Geyron noticed this and he let out a laugh.

"Seriously boy, you want to shoot me" Geyron turned towards Percy.

Percy ran to his side body and released the arrow, the arrow flew quickly and went through Geyron body, from his left side to the right side, punctured all his hearts. Geyron looked at this with disbelieved looks.

"No way!" he exclaimed "They said that your archery is really bad"

After said that Geyron turned into golden dust and left his huge boot. After that Percy quickly ran towards the outside where Geyron just cooked something, and he sacrificed the food there to the Apollo and Artemis for their helped. Percy didn't knew why he could shoot like that, Apollo or Artemis must help him, that's why he could that shot arrow precisely towards all Geyron hearts. Suddenly from behind someone hug him tightly.

"You did it Percy"

Percy noticed the voice and the scent, Pearl his own sister.

"I can't believe you can shoot like that" Pearl said and pulled herself "It's amazing considering that you're really bad at archery"

"Are you complimenting me or insulting me?" Percy asked and raised his eyebrows.

"Er..maybe both" Pearl said and grinned at her brother.

"I'll take that as a compliment" Percy said and he patted Perl head.

"Percy!"

And now Annabeth hugged him tight, Percy happily hugged her back and he stroke Annabeth back gently.

"You did it" Annabeth said and kissed Percy "I can't believe it"

"Oh please don't said it again!" Percy rolled his eyes.

Annabeth chuckled and she buried her face on Percy chest, taking in all his scent and warmth "I'm a little worried back then, what if you failed and Geyron killed you"

"Wise Girl" Percy said gently "I promised I Won't leave you or die on you. We will always be together, I promise that"

Annabeth looked up and she smiled "Me too Seaweed Brain"

Percy leaned closer and about to kiss Annabeth, but Pearl cleared her throat and crossed her arm.

"Guys, hate to ruin your moment" Pearl said and glared at Percy "But what we should we do with this?"

Pearl pointed her thumb at Eurytion who enjoyed the scene that unfolded in front of him.

"Nah, don't mind me" Eurytion said and waved his hand "Whatever you do is none of my concern, you want to escape or stay here is up to you. But I recommended you to escape from here as fast as you can. Tomorrow afternoon they will come again to collect you, so it's up to you"

Pearl hand twitched when she heard this "You mean Kronos army?"

Eurytion nodded "Yep"

Percy noticed that Pearl expression changed into longing looks, but Pearl quickly hid it and she turned towards Tyson who held Nico, and Grover who also guarded Nico and prevent him from ran away.

"And about this boy?" Pearl asked again.

"I have a name and It is Nico" Nico spat "You better remember it"

Pearl walked towards Nico and leaned towards him "Yeah, I get it. Also you seemed to hate Percy the most, can I asked why?"

Nico who surprised to see Pearl face so close to him turned away and didn't answer Pearl question.

"Is it about your sister, Bianca?" Pearl asked again.

"Don't call her name!" Nico answered angrily and now he glared at Pearl.

"I struck your nerve eh" Pearl kept her eyes on Nico, she didn't even flinched when Nico black obsidian eyes glowed in anger "Let me tell you something, is not Percy fault"

Nico gritted his teeth "It is his fault, he promise me that he will protect my sister but he broke his promise and let my sister die"

Pearl sighed and she put her hand on her waist "Let's asked your sister shall we? Let her tell us the truth"

Nico expression darken "It's useless, I have tried but she never came"

"Try again" Pearl said with commanding tone "Trust me this time it will work"

"Why should I listened to you? You're Percy sister that's mean your my enemy too" Nico insisted.

"Whoa Nico" Percy quickly stood between Pearl and Nico before Pearl did anything stupid "Let her out of it okay? She didn't do anything wrong"

Nico hissed when he saw Percy "Stay away from me you liar"

"Hey! Percy is not a liar, I know he is a bit annoying but he never tell me a single lie!" Pearl yelled from Percy back.

"Annabeth please" Percy gave Annabeth pleading looks.

Annabeth nodded and she dragged Pearl away from Percy and Nico. Pearl protested but she shut her mouth when Annabeth dug her nail on her wrist.

"Nico, I'm so sorry about your sister Bianca" Percy said sadly "I'm sorry that I couldn't protect her"

"Don't call her name" Nico spat "You liar! I shouldn't trust you from the beginning"

"If there anything I can do to make it up to you?" Percy asked.

"Yeah, go die and rot in Tartarus!" Nico answered angrily.

"Hey, that's not nice" Pearl yelled angrily.

"Pearl, stop it!" Annabeth said sternly.

Percy sighed sadly and he rubbed his eyes tiredly "Nico please. Bianca told me to take care of you the moment before she die"

"You liar!" Nico yelled again.

"Nico…"

"Don't touch me!" Nico yelled and closed his eyes when Percy reached him "Don't touch me you murderer!"

Nico opened his eyes and his tears already formed on his eyes "I will bring her back and I will ask her the truth"

"You mean you want to trade my soul for hers?" Percy asked.

Nico eyeing Peryc supiciously "How did you know that?"

Percy avoided Nico eyes "Eh, I kinda dreamed about it"

Nico snorted at this "Hah, why would I do that? Of course not! It's worthless. I'm going to trade Daedalus soul for it, not yours!"

"Bianca would be sad if she saw you like this" Percy said and hung his head.

"What did you say?" Nico narrowed his eye at Percy.

"She didn't want you to be like this, she wanted you to be happier" Percy said.

"Lie!" Nico yelled at Percy.

"I'm not lying!" Percy said and he looked at Nico eyes "You want to hear the truth, fine let's ask Bianca about it"

Nico glared at Percy direction "Fine, I'll do it. I'll call her and ask for the truth"
