Chapter 21
Sif went into the city to get the necklace for Sigyn. She entered, "Hello? May I speak to the proprietor."
"I own the store;" a well-dressed man said.
Sif smiled at the man. . "The King sent me to pick up a necklace," she explained.
"Ah yes, I know the one he means." He stepped over to a small safe and opened it. He reached in and took out the necklace, and then showed it to Sif.
"Yes, that is the one," she said.
The owner wrapped the necklace in a velvet cloth and then placed it in a box. "Here you go miss," he said and handed it to Sif.
"Thank you sir," Sif said and exited the shop. She walked back to the palace carrying the small box under her arm.
Sif stopped at the entrance of the palace and asked the guard. . "Do you know where the King is?"
"Yes, Lady Sif, he is in the banquet hall," the guard answered.
Sif entered the banquet hall and walked up to Loki. "I have it," she said and showed him the box.
Loki smiled. "Thank you, Sif," he said and took the box. He was about to kiss her when Sif backed away.
"No, not a good idea. Not after what happened last time," Sif said.
Loki chuckled., "You are right. From now on a simple thank you will suffice."
Sif laughed and exited the banquet hall.
Loki gave out one last order to Marta and then he exited the hall. He went to his chambers and once inside opened the box so he could examine the necklace. Sigyn is going to love this he thought, as he looked it over. He put the necklace back into the box, and then took it into his bedroom and placed it on the nightstand.

Freya entered the kitchen to talk to the cook. "Dagmar, how is everything going in here?"
"The ovens are warming up and we are preparing the meats and breads to be cooked and baked. Not to worry, my lady. It will all be done on time," Dagmar said.
"Thank you, Dagmar, please let me know if you need extra help," Freya said and left the kitchen.
As Freya walked down the corridor she saw Mandy and walked up to her. "Have you seen Sigyn? I can't seem to locate her."
"She said she was going to the garden, which is where I am going," Mandy answered.
"I will join you," Freya said and the two exited the palace and entered the garden. They found Sigyn picking flowers.
"Darling, a servant will do that," Freya said to her daughter.
"Hello mother, and yes I know, but I needed something to do," Sigyn said while she continued to pick flowers and put them in a basket. "Mandy are you here to help me?" Sigyn asked.
Mandy nodded her response. There was another basket next to Sigyn. Mandy lifted it and began picking flowers along with Sigyn.
"All right ladies, I will leave this to you," Freya said and started to leave the garden, but then stopped. "I almost forgot why I was I was looking for you. I still have to raise that hem, it is far too long.".
"We can do that later, Mother there will be time," Sigyn responded.
"Then I shall take my leave," Freya said and left the garden.
"I think your mother is more anxious than you are," Mandy said as she picked more flowers.
Sigyn laughed, "Yes I know. She wants this celebration to be perfect. I don't blame her, I want it to be perfect as well."
"Don't worry, honey, it will be," Mandy assured Sigyn. "Where are these flowers going?"
"We are going to spread them down the middle of the banquet table." Sigyn responded.
"Oh, that will look lovely," Mandy said and continued her job.
Each of their baskets was overflowing with flowers. "I think we have enough," Sigyn said.
They took the flowers to the banquet hall and laid them out in the middle of the table. "Sigyn, there is something of yours at my chambers. I want to give it back to you," Mandy said.
Sigyn gave Mandy a quizzical look. "Really? I don't remember leaving anything there."
"You didn't, just come with me and I'll show you," Mandy said.
The two went back to Mandy's. Mandy led Sigyn back to her bedroom and opened a jewelry box. She took something out of it and handed it to Sigyn.
Sigyn gasped. . "My bracelet," she said puzzled.
"I couldn't sell it. The pawnbroker didn't recognize the metal. I was going to give it back to you, but when I got back, you and Loki were in the street, and you know the rest," Mandy said.
Sigyn gave Mandy a hug. . "Thank you, I am so glad you couldn't sell it. I'll wear it tonight."

Sigyn sat on her bed and fastened her bracelet. She sat there for a few minutes staring at it. It had been a gift from Loki and now that the wedding was back on, she was glad she could wear it.
Freya knocked on Sigyn's bedroom door. "Darling, are you ready?" She asked.
"Yes, Mother, I'll be right out." She opened the door and exited the room.
Freya smiled brightly., "Honey you look beautiful," Freya said to her daughter.
"I'm so nervous mother. You would think I had not done this before," Sigyn said.
"I was very nervous on my wedding day," Freya said. "I think all brides are. You are nervous because you love him.
"You are right mother. I love him very much. I think that is why we argue with so much passion; because we love each other," Sigyn said.
"Shall we?" Freya asked, and offered to escort Sigyn to the banquet hall.
~O~
Loki placed the last piece of armor on, and exited his chambers, and headed for the banquet hall. He was happier than he could remember.
It had been a beautiful day, and soon he and Sigyn would be wed and the celebration would start.
Before entering the hall, Loki took in a deep breath, and then let it out slowly. He entered the hall, and was amazed to see so many people there. He expected family and friends, but it looked like most of the people of Asgard had come. He smiled as he walked past the first row, and then walked to the front of the hall. He stood and waited for his bride.
Sigyn and Freya entered the hall. Freya joined the guests, while Sigyn walked up to Loki and stood next to him.
She had on a green velvet dress with black bows going down the front of it. On the back of the dress, there was a bow at the small of Sigyn's back. Her skirt had a two-foot train.
Loki gazed into Sigyn's eyes. "I love you," he whispered. Sigyn looked up at him. "I am so happy," she whispered to him. The two just stood there for several moments before they, spoke their vows. They exchanged rings, and thenLoki then kissed Sigyn. Sigyn wrapped her arms around Loki's neck and returned the kiss. The two turned and faced their guests. Everyone in the hall applauded.
Mandy who was next to Freya asked, "Is that it? They are married now?"
"Yes, they are married now," Freya, answered.
"Wow, it is a lot more complicated on Earth," Mandy said.
Loki and Sigyn walked over to the dais and stood behind their table. "May the feast begin," Loki said, and the two sat down.
People lined up at the banquet table and helped themselves to food and drink.
Marta brought food and drink to the head table and served Loki and Sigyn.
Loki held Sigyn's hand, . "I love you," he said to Sigyn softly, after Marta left.
"I love you too. I guess I am Queen now, am I not?" Sigyn asked.
Loki grinned broadly, "Yes you are."
There was much merriment, music, talking, eating, and even dancing that went on until the wee hours of the night. Everyone was exceedingly happy. The people of Asgard now had a Queen and their King looked happier than he ever did.
