Luffy vs Don
The Fall of Don
Daiki walked back onto the fin. A new air of confidence surrounded him and all could feel it. Don gritted his teeth.
"Any one else?" Daiki asked.
"How about me?" asked Gin's voice.
Daiki turned around to see Gin walking toward him with tonfas in his hands. These ones though had a large ball in the front. Yet the look in his eyes said it all, the intent to kill. Daiki shivered.
Oh boy...this isn't good.
"I'll admit that I didn't think that anyone could beat Pearl except for myself and Don," Gin said.
"Happy to prove you wrong," Daiki stated.
Gin had no expression of anger, he was calm...and cold.
"However...you will find no such luck with me."
The look in his eyes alone could kill a lesser man. Daiki took a step back.
Holy shit this guy is serious.
Gin began to spin one of his tonfas around. Slowly at first, then escalated very quickly. Daiki stood ready while Gin stood still like a statue with only his tonfa moving.
"Hey Chore boy!" shouted Don. "Say goodbye to your crystal pal."
"Shut up!" Luffy shouted.
Sanji exhaled some smoke before jumping behind Daiki.
"Sanji?" Daiki asked.
Sanji extended his foot and kicked Daiki back into the restaurant.
"You've had your fight. Let some of the others have fun."
Daiki walked out and sat beside Zeff.
"YOU COULD HAVE JUST ASKED NICELY!"
Zeff smiled.
"He doesn't know how."
Sanji and Gin stared at each other.
"I was hoping it just be the statue and not you Sanji, but if you won't give up...then I have no choice."
Sanji flicked his cigarette into the ocean.
"Too bad for you then."
Luffy stared at Don and Don glared right back.
"I'll be right there to kick your ass so don't move," Luffy stated.
He cracked his knuckles. Don chuckled.
"More like you will be sent to your grave early."
Gin rushed toward Sanji and swung his tonfa. Sanji jumped over it and slammed his heel down toward Gin. Gin jumped back and swung his spinning tonfa at Sanji's side. Sanji quickly bent over backwards and stood on his hands. He spun around with his feet extended to hit Gin. Gin barely dodged and began to spin his tonfa again. Sanji stood back up on his feet.
Luffy extended his arms out and grabbed some debris from Don's ship. He pulled himself toward it and landed firmly. Don just watched from his sitting position and tossed some small orbs into the ocean. They began to explode creating a wall of water and shook the area around Luffy. Don stood up and removed one his shoulder plates. He began to rapidly fire spikes from it like a machine gun. Luffy quickly rocketed himself up into the sky to avoid them. Don adjusted his aim and fired again but Luffy just let gravity carry him back down to dodge.
"You are a slippery little pest," said Don.
Daiki watched these fights in awe.
Don has that kind of a weapon...what else does he have?
Zeff looked down at Daiki.
He is amazed at that? That isn't anything special.
Sanji rushed Gin with a barrage of kicks and Gin dodged them left and right. Gin swung his tonfa horizontally, but Sanji redirected it with a kick. He quickly brought his leg in and thrust it at Gin, hitting him square in the chest. Gin flew back towards the edge of the fin and knelt down. Sanji rushed him again. Gin quickly spun his tonfa and slammed it into Sanji's side. Sanji coughed up some blood. He slammed his foot into the back of Gin's head. Both combatants fell onto the fin. Both were breathing heavily.
"You're...pretty good," said Sanji.
"Right...back at...you," Gin replied.
Luffy rushed toward Don by hopping from chunk of wood to other chunks that were scattered around them. Don fired more spikes and hit Luffy in the shoulder.
"Gotcha!"
Yet Luffy didn't slow down. He kept heading towards Don. Don quickly took out a spiked cape and surrounded himself, leaving no opening for Luffy to punch.
"You won't get me Chore Boy!" Don shouted.
"He doesn't have an opening!" a cook called out.
Don laughed as Luffy continued to rapidly approach him. However, the laughter was silenced when Luffy punched Don through the spiked cape. Daiki's eyes widened.
THAT IS HARD CORE!
Sanji held his hand.
He is so reckless.
Gin could only stare in horror at the sight of Don as he fell to the ground with blood trailing from his mouth. Luffy used his bloody hand to remove the spike from his shoulder. Both were now on the main deck of the ruined ship, slowly sinking into the ocean.
"Your stupid weapons won't stop me," Luffy stated.
Gin's mouth agape at the sight.
"He...knocked Don off of his feet?"
"Yeah," Sanji replied. "Your captain isn't has invincible as you thought."
"He got a lucky shot," Gin argued.
"He punched him through spikes," Daiki stated. "That wasn't luck."
Luffy stood firm as he waited for Don to get back up. Don made it to his feet and turned towards Luffy with angry eyes.
"You are dead...today is your funeral."
He took off both shoulder pads and placed them together. A long pole shot out of one end while a spear tip emerged from the other.
"It's the mighty Battle Spear!" shouted a Don pirate.
Gin smiled.
"And now he is going to die."
"Oh please it's just a spear," Daiki stated. "If he is going for reach, Luffy's reach is still longer."
Gin laughed.
"Don isn't going for the reach advantage."
Luffy rushed at Don. Don swung his spear horizontally with Luffy ducking under it. The spear hit some debris and it exploded.
"What the crap!?" Daiki shouted.
"The Battle Spear causes explosions whenever it makes contact with anything," Gin explained. "The harder he hits something with it, the bigger the explosion."
Daiki grunted.
That isn't going to be easy to deal with.
Sanji's pupils shrank to the size of a peanut.
He won't be able to beat something like that.
Gin smiled.
The Battle Spear is the most powerful weapon Don has. Every time he makes contact with it, it creates an explosion and the harder he swings, the bigger the explosion. Chore Boy is going to die.
Zeff kept a straight face as all eyes were glued to the fight. Don swung again and landed a hit on Luffy. He flew back from the explosion and nearly went into the water. Don smirk at his hit yet it shatter when Luffy stood back up with a large grin on his face.
Just a few more times.
"How...how did he get back up?" Gin asked in shock.
Luffy and Don clashed again with the same result as last time and another. Daiki's fists were shaking. He wanted to rush in and help...he wanted to beat the crap out of Don...yet he didn't move.
"What are you doing?!" shouted Sanji. "Go help him!"
"No," Daiki replied.
"Why?" Sanji asked.
"It should be obvious," Zeff stated. "This is Chore Boy's fight not his. And even with all those weapons that Don has...Chore Boy can still bring him to his knees."
"I don't believe that!" shouted Gin.
Another clash resulted in another explosion.
"I've seen his type before," Zeff continued. "Stubborn fools who would rather die than run from a fight. Much like Zoro...these two go very well together. You see, when they fight, they aren't afraid of anything."
Luffy gets back up again still with his grin. Don growled at the sight.
Four hits from my mighty Battle Spear and yet this...this CHORE BOY isn't staying down! A normal person would have been smart and stayed down if they had lived. What is up with this kid?!
Zeff smiled.
"Not even death."
Sanji's expression slowly morphed from worried to awe. He could see the determination in his eyes...Luffy wasn't going to back down.
Maybe he can win.
Daiki forced himself to sit and continued to watch the match.
He'll win...I believe that.
Another swing with an explosion to match yet this one didn't send Luffy flying. He had his foot in the air wiggling around happily. Don looked furious. Luffy slammed his foot down and the spear blade shatter. Gin and the other Krieg pirates looked shocked. Don was in disbelieve at the feat.
"My mighty Battle Spear!" he screamed. "What did you do?!"
Luffy smiled.
"I just hit it in the head five times...looks tired. It needs a rest. With that, now it's my turn."
Luffy stretched back his arms as he rushed Don. Don swung at Luffy but missed. Luffy flung his arms forward.
"GUM GUM BAZOOKA!"
His hands hit Don in the chest. The force pushed him back but Don was laughing.
"You fool. You can't punch through this armor. It's made-"
"BAZOOKA!"
Luffy slammed his hands again into the armor. Don stumbled back. Don quickly jumped up to a broken mast.
"You don't know when to give up do you?" Don asked.
"Alright you stay right there Don," Luffy barked.
Luffy does some quick stretches before sprinting up the mast. Don smirked.
"That's it brat...charge up to your death."
Don raised his Battle Spear. Daiki rubbed his chin.
But the spear tip is gone so all he has is a stick...unless...it makes explosions no matter what it hits.
Sanji watched in silence while Zeff was smiling.
Don doesn't even realize that he has lost.
Luffy pulls his arms back again.
"GUM GUM BAZOOKA!"
Don swung down and it Luffy dead on. Yet his hands reached through the explosion and smacked Don into the air.
"MWAHAHAHAHA! Is that the best you got Chore Boy!"
Cracks in his armor appeared. At the same time, Don launched small orbs into the water.
"I don't believe it...my armor is cracked!"
Luffy stood on the mast with smoke coming off of him, stunned by the explosion. Don smirked.
"It doesn't matter. THIS IS THE END FOR YOU CHORE BOY!"
"GET OUT OF THERE LUFFY!" Daiki called out.
"HE THREW EXPLOSIVES INTO THE WATER!" Sanji added.
Gin looked down.
There is no way he'll survive this.
Explosions erupted from the water and surrounded the area. Don bellowed laughter after the went off. That quickly turned to a scream when Luffy jumped out from the smoke.
"GUM GUM BAZOOKA!"
He slammed his hands into Don again and shattered the armor. Don coughed up some blood when the hands made contact. His entire crew stared in shock.
"He shattered the armor?!" shouted one.
"That shouldn't be possible!" called out another.
Gin was the only one who was silent. Luffy smiled.
"I TOTALLY WIN!"
Don fell towards the ocean and quickly trapped Luffy in a metal net.
"I DON'T THINK SO CHORE BOY!"
Luffy struggled to break free of the net. All the could see below him was the blue of the ocean. Don smiled.
"THAT IS THE OCEAN DOWN THERE! YOU ARE GOING TO DROWN AND I'LL BE THE VICTOR!"
"That is a problem," Daiki said.
"Why?" Sanji asked.
"Devil Fruit users can't swim," Daiki replied. "If Luffy falls into the ocean, he will sink like a rock with that net and drown. I'm also a Devil Fruit user so I can't save him if he falls in."
Sanji's eyes widened.
"Are you serious?! Then why did you jump in earlier?!"
"To put the flames out from my fight with Pearl, and I tossed Luffy something to pull me up with so I was going to be fine," Daiki replied.
Luffy got his arms and legs free from the net.
"Now I've got you right where I want you."
Luffy spun around and coiled up his legs while stretching them down toward Don. He grabbed his face with his feet.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" Don called out in shock.
Luffy spun him around rapidly while flipping. Everyone watched as Don spun around helplessly in Luffy's grasp; heading for part of the fin of the restaurant.
"GUM GUM GIANT HAMMER!"
Don slammed against the fin head first. A large indention was made for his whole body on the fin. The cooks cried out in joy while the pirates were still with silent shock. Luffy fell into the ocean shortly after that. Sanji quickly kicked off his shoes and dove into the water. Daiki smiled.
Cutting it a little too close there Captain. Still though, nicely done.
However, Don got back up. His eyes white with blood shot veins showing on the bottom and sides.
"I AM THE STRONGEST!"
"Is that psycho still not down?!" Daiki said in shock.
"He isn't even awake," Gin replied calmly.
He slowly stood up.
"He is still fighting in his mind."
Some of the pirates quickly jumped on Don to slow him down.
"Don sir you have to calm down!"
Don didn't listen.
"I HAVE TO BEAT HIM I HAVE TO!"
He shook off his own men with ease and continued to scream. Gin casually walked up to him and swiftly punched his gut to knock him out.
"Sorry Don."
Gin caught him and slung him over his shoulder.
"We need to learn when to admit defeat...and we have lost. Our ship is wrecked and our captain is defeated."
Sanji emerged from the ocean with Luffy in tow. Daiki walked over to see how he was doing.
"How is Luffy?"
"Breathing...and snoring?"
Luffy's snore echoed throughout the area. The cooks laughed. Sanji looked over at Gin.
"Still want to fight?"
Gin shook his head.
"No...we lost. However, we can't really leave either without a boat."
"I've got that covered for you," Sanji stated. "Patty, get the boat we use for shopping trips."
"What?!" screamed Patty. "Then how are we going to make shopping trips?"
Sanji glared at him.
"JUST DO IT!"
Patty ran to the other side of the restaurant. Soon a boat sailed around the ship appeared. It looked like it could barely hold ten people yet one hundred had to fit. They all piled cartoonishly and surprisingly fit. Gin was the last one to get on.
"This is where we part ways."
"Do you know what you are going to do?" Sanji asked.
Gin looked towards the sky.
"No. I guess I will have to find that answer myself."
"Do a bit of soul searching...just don't do it here," Sanji said with a smile.
Gin smiled back.
"I know."
Gin stepped onto the boat and kicked it off and lowered the sail.
"DON'T YOU FORGOT THIS YOU DAMN CROOKS!" Carne shouted proudly.
"THIS IS THE RESTAURANT WHERE THE COOKS FIGHT BACK!" Patty added.
Gin looked back toward the sky.
Those cooks do mean business.
