Ian stood in shock as Neon and Lady Denise battled. Each having three Bakugan on the field. Ian had just admitted that the school was crazy yet all he could do was stare at Denise's two Bakugan that came from her.
How could that have been possible? How is she able to do that?
Those questions along with many others were running through Ian's head.
"Lady Denise..." Her butler starts but she holds her hand up to silence him. She was going to finish this brawl on her own.
"Tetoid, wind blast." The human-like Bakugan started to flap her wings and created a gust of wind that the Bakugan sent towards Darkon.
Neon saw this and had Siege cover Darkon so he wouldn't get hurt.
When the wind disappeared and Siege was in her ball form Neon stared at his opponent. "Is that all you got? A gust of wind? Here's a real Bakugan: Darkon use Dragon Blast!"
The dragon Bakugan had a ball of power form in his mouth and sent it towards Tetoid; once it hit it's target Tetoid went back to Denise in her ball form. Of course the attack had more damage than imaginable as Denise clutched the left side of stomach as if in great pain.
"That was spectacular! Tremendous! Glorious!" Neon was rambling on about his attack oblivious to the girl in pain.
"Hey," Ian shouts. "Can someone please explain why you're brawling over me?"
A small dice appeared in Lady Denise's hands. She tossed it up and down before it was sucked into a portal given to Neon. " The rules are you don't have to roll the dice. You can pass it to your opponent. The dice is like a double-edge knife. If the dice lands on the wrong number you can lose another Bakugan. So are you going to—"
" I'm going to roll my dice. No, I'm going to pass. Wait, I'm going to roll my dice. Shred my dice on the ground. Roll it. Not roll it. Roll it. Pass. Not pass. Do I get a third option?"
" There is no third option. Roll your dice or pass it to me. Those are the only options."
" Well I never backed down on a challenge before and I won't give up yet. I'm going to roll the dice."
The dice rolled and landed on a two. That would be the number for Siege, but with her gone Darkon moved up in numbers. Lady Denise picked up the dice in her hand and rolled it. The number was one and it was for the vulture Bakugan. They were going to battle...
" You are the ants." The background started to glow with a bright red light. People began to chant in a circle around the stadium. " She's really going to make a husband out of you, you stupid boy. You're nothing but dust in their teeth. There's nothing inside of you!"
" Denise, what's going on?" Ian asked.. Denise pales, shakes her head. She tried to have faith it wasn't him.
The sound of chanting pauses and then red lightning zapped her Bakugan and Darkon. Her Bakugan exploded and its fragments were transformed into its ball form. Darkon was still out of his ball and still being struck by lightning. His body changing slightly; red like the lightning.
" Darkon!' Neon shouts seeing Darkon writhe from the lightning. " Leave him alone!"
Pain turned into anger. Darkon's iris changed into a white eyeball. He fires red lightning in every direction. " Why is your Bakugan doing this?" The butler asked Neon.
" I don't know." Neon begins sounding distraught and frightened. " Darkon is usually such a bright and happy dragon. Why are they doing this to him?"
" Jeez, it's just a Bakugan game. All you have to do is give up and your Bakugan will stop."
" The point of this game is to not give up and save my friend from being a husband."
" You think we're doing this?" The butler laughs nervously. " Yeah, okay. If we're responsible for this than how do you explain your Bakugan attacking everyone?"
" I don't know. I just didn't play any cards this time so it had to be your fault."
" I am Lady Denise. I'm not responsible for this, but I know the person who is responsible for this. And if you don't quit now your Bakugan is only going to cause more destruction."
" We're in the middle of a battlefield. There's no damage he can cause here. He can't do anything to me. He can never hurt me."
" I wouldn't be so sure about that," the same voice echoed in the battlefield. " Bakugan players all have a hidden fear of their Bakugan. That fear is the Bakugan never listening to them and end up eating them. I will put that fear in all of you unless you do as I say, Denise?"
" This guy knows you?" Ian asked her. Denise's cheeks blushed red in embarrassment. She was too scared to tell Ian everything.
" He wants to marry me," Denise explained. " It's you or him, Ian." Ian didn't understand what she was talking about. What he could understand was a girl who was scared of a very terrifying boy. He had to help her and there was only one way to do this."
" Neon...can you...forfeit the battle?"
" What? Neon doesn't surrender to anyone. Girls, boys, poodles, sticks with knives, or even Batman."
" If you won't do it for me, do it for Darkon. He needs your help." Darkon was in so much pain. This pain was starting to turn Darkon into a dangerous beast. It seemed like nothing was going to stop his pain.
" Good luck getting together after I beat your girlfriend."
" Neon?" Neon raised his arms and backed up. His attention was on Darkon. " Neon, stop." Neon took a step forward and started to run. He leaped into Darkon and grabbed his stomach. Neon was electrocuted. " Neon!"
