Chapter 21

"Orochimaru just took the twins."

"What," Kisame asked.

"Naruto and Naoko. They were taken by Orochimaru."

"How long ago," Kisame asked.

"Two maybe three minutes ago. Tell me what to do, Kisame."

"First call Kakashi and then Jiraiya. After you call them head home. Itachi will sit with you until we get to the bottom of this."

"Right."

"I will call you the moment I have something."

"Thanks, Kisame."

"No problem, kid." He hung up. Sasuke called Kakashi and Jiraiya then headed to his house. Gaara took out his phone and called his brother Kankuro.

The moment Sasuke walked into his house, Itachi hugged him. "It is going to be alright, little brother," Itachi said.

"Knock it off. We have a guest." Itachi let him go and stepped back. "Gaara this is my brother Itachi. Itachi, my friend Gaara." Itachi grabbed the boy and hugged him too.

"Let go," Gaara growled.

"Sorry," Itachi said as he backed away. "So tell me everything." He led the two into the living room. Sasuke told him everything that happened.

At dawn, Kisame called, "We found Naruto and he is safe."

"What about Nao," Sasuke asked him.

"According Naruto, she is still with them. He says that she pushed him out of the van but could not follow him because the glasses freak had her by the ankle. Naruto is on his way to you."

"Doesn't he need to go to the hospital?"

"No, he has a few cuts and bruises but nothing else. Tsunade is with him. Oh be prepared, she has some anger issues with you."

"Yeah so do I, but there really wasn't anything I could do. Gaara is not going to like this. Thanks, Kisame."

"No problem. Let me speak to Itachi." Sasuke handed the phone to his brother and went to tell Gaara the bad news.

Inside the van, Kabuto was finishing tying the little girl up again. She had ruined everything and all while he was not paying attention. That little brat helped Naruto escape. She had some how gotten loose of her bonds and helped her brother get loose as well. Then as quiet as a mouse opened the back door. When he looked back at them she stuck her tongue out at him. He jumped from his seat and managed to grab her ankle. She tried to kick him and when he would not let go, she grabbed her brother and shoved him out the open door. The boy screamed her name and then got up and ran into the woods beside the road. There was no time to stop and look for him because they were certain that the Uchiha had called the cops. The girl would have to do and maybe their well made plans were not completely shot to hell.

Nao was glaring at the two men standing in front of her it was about an hour after dawn. They had taken her out into the middle of nowhere. The back door were open and she was tied up so tight she could barely breathe. Kabuto reached for her and dragged her out of the van. He then picked her up and tossed her over his shoulder. He carried her into some sort of building. It might have been a barn at one time.

She was then dumped on to the ground. She tried to sit up but couldn't. A hand grabbed ahold of her and helped her get into a comfortable position. Then that hand caressed her cheek. She looked up into a face that seemed very familiar to her.

"What are you doing here, child," he asked. His voice sounded hoarse. She recognized this man.

"Gramps?"

"Yes, child."

"What are you doing here?"

"That is a long story."

"Tell me."

"Yes, Sarutobi. Tell her what you and her stupid father did. Tell her what got him killed. Oh wait. You got him killed," Orochimaru cackled evilly.

"What is he talking about," Nao asked Hiruzen Sarutobi.

"He is talking about his idiotic plans and ideas."

"They are NOT Idiotic, old man," Orochimaru screeched. "They are a work of pure genius."

"They are reckless and unprofitable. I told you all of that when you made you presentation to the board members."

"What plans," Nao asked.

"It is all about DNA and how to manipulate it."

"He has been experimenting on children, turning them into monsters," Hiruzen Sarutobi said.

"I have not made them monsters. I have made them better, stronger, beautiful."

"He spliced their DNA and added things that should not be. Man was not meant to be changed into common animals, like snakes!"

"A snake is much better than a chicken." Orochimaru looked to Kabuto then left. Kabuto chained Nao next to Hiruzen and then left as well.

"How long have you been here," Nao asked.

"The last time I saw you was at my wife's funeral when you were fifteen. The last I saw of the outside world was three months ago. It was awfully cold." A tear slide down his face.

"Has no one notice you missing?"

"I became a hermit after my wife's passing. No one knows where I am."

"Naruto will send help. He will not stop until I am found. I know he will find a way."
