The group made their way to the next area, which looked to be a valley.
"Huh. This is a big place." J.P. noted lamely.
"Is this where the next demon lord is?" asked Betty.
"Knowing our luck? Most likely." Takuya nodded.
'Maybe I'll see Lilithmon again...' Zoe thought absentmindedly before she shook her head to consciously think again 'To... To kick her ass of course.' She thought, unknowingly fighting her infection.
The mark began to glow slightly before returning to normal.
She flinched, feeling the bite burning a bit except she didn't want to worry the others.
'It's probably nothing.' she thought as they ventured deeper into the valley that seemed to get bigger the more they went.
"Hey! You can let me out now!" A familiar voice yelled from Koichi's bag.
"What the-?!" exclaimed Koji as he and Koichi felt the bags start to move.
Yin and Yang, in their In-Training forms, popped their heads out.
"Did Uncle even WASH these bags?" Yang complained, covering her nose.
"Now is not the time, Yang." whispered Yin gesturing to the surprised looks on the group's faces.
"Hi." Yang waved.
"Um, what's going on?" asked Tommy.
"We wanted to join." Yin said shyly.
"But, why go through all the trouble of hiding the bags for that? Why not just ask?" was J.P.'s question.
"We weren't taking no for an answer and you could have still said it." Yang shrugged.
"That's because this is dangerous." replied Koji.
"We don't care." They both said in unison.
"Besides, you will need a Healer." Yin argued.
"And I can provide boosts." Yang added.
"They can be our White and Black Mages!" Takuya suggested, laughing.
All the kids sweat dropped at that.
"Still, if we spot trouble, you two need to stay hidden." said Koichi.
"Fine." Yang sighed "But you let those three with you and we're stronger! No offence." She had gestured to Bokomon, Neemon and Patamon as she said that.
"None taken. We stay out of fighting anyhow." replied Bokomon.
Their talking was interrupted by a loud explosion in the distance.
"What was that!" exclaimed Neemon ducking behind Bokomon.
"Let's check it out." Takuya glared into the distance. Everyone nodded and took off running, soon going over the ridge and seeing what looked like a GIANT sleeping bear.
"What the-!?" Koji covered Takuya's mouth and shushed him.
"That things miles away Koji. I don't think Takuya will wake it up." Koichi deadpanned.
"It's HUGE!" JP yelled, making Koji facepalm.
All of them noticed the digimon seemed to have some sort of clock tied around its body.
"Whats with the clock?" J.P. asked in confusion, no one knowing the answer... until
they heard a motor bike racing towards them.
"The real question is, what's coming towards us?" asked Betty pointing to a dust cloud ahead of them.
The dust cloud grew before settling, Beelzemon pulling up in front of them atop a bike.
"Well well, look what we got here." grinned Beelzemon.
"Who are you?" demanded Takuya.
"The name's Beelzemon fire brat." replied the demon lord of gluttony.
Takuya and the rest of the group glared as they pulled out their D-Tectors.
"Calm down kiddies, I'm not here to kick your asses. No guns." Beelzemon shrugged, pointing to his empty holsters.
"Then why are you here?" asked Bokomon with a glare while keeping Patamon behind him.
"To let you know about a game that Lucemon and Daemon wanted to tell you about." He said
All of them gave him their undivided attention.
"See that big guy? That's the Demon Lord of Sloth, Belphemon." Beelzemon explained "The task is simple. Get there and unleash your full strength on him. BEFORE he wakes up."
"So basically, you want us to wake him." said Zoe.
"Actually, if you give it your all it is really likely you'll kill the lazy bastard. And if he DOES wake up, he will be a lot weaker. If you get to him AFTER he wakes up? He will destroy the five villages he is nestled between."
The group took a look around and did in fact spot five small villages with the lord of sloth nestled in between all of them.
"Have fun." Beelzemon laughed as he revved his engine and took off in a flurry of wheelspin and a dust cloud.
"Great. So we have to take that guy down before he wakes up? We won't make it." sighed J.P.
"Don't say that, we can do it." Tommy said in encouragement.
"Tommy's right. Everyone, let's hit him with everything we've got!" yelled Takuya.
"Wait, we need to think here." Koji scolded.
"What's there to think about? We need to get that guy before he wakes up." said J.P.
"If we just run or go Spirit and race as fast as we can, we would be so tired all we do is wake him up and will be so exhausted we won't be able to fight back." Koji explained.
"What do you propose then?" asked Takuya.
"I don't know. We have to calm down and think about which is the best bet." Koji nodded.
"Uh, guys? I think that clocks ticking." commented Tommy pointing at said clock as the hand slowly ticked away.
"Thats another thing." Koichi noted, continuing where his brother left off "If we take too long, he will wake up."
"Then we need a plan, and now!" spoke Betty who felt they needed to do something.
"Zoe and I can fly." Takuya noted "She, Betty, Yin, Koji and I will hurry over there while you guys go on foot. That way, if you guys can't get there on time or are really tired when you do get there, we will be rested and nearly 100%. And I don't mean this to diminish you or anything JP, Tommy, Koichi, but the four of us are the only ones who can Fusion Evolve so we'd be doing the most damage."
All of them nodded at the plan as Takuya, Zoe, Betty, and Koji held their D-Tectors at the ready.
Takuya and Zoe turned into their Beast forms, picking up Koji and Betty respectively.
"Let's go." BurningGreymon said in his growly voice.
Yin leapt onto his back and held on as the five of them flew down to the demon lord.
"I wonder how strong that guy is." Zephyrmon whispered in worry "I mean, Lilithmon was SOOOO strong. We have no idea how he compares." Zephermon's eyes widened a fraction as she felt her cheeks heat up as she prais... MENTIONED Lilithmon's strength, glad for the scarf that hid the bottom half of her face and hid her blush which she quickly pushed away, ignoring the pulsing heat from the bite mark on her neck.
"No idea, but we can't underestimate him. One false move could cost us." spoke Koji.
"Oh don't be such a downer." Betty said as she rolled her eyes.
Soon the five of them touched down on the ground next to the demon lord and saw he easily towered over all of them.
"He's... big." Takuya said as he reverted to normal, unable to think of anything else to describe what was in front of him.
"So, we gonna stay here and talk, or are we gonna show this big boy his place?" asked Betty.
"We need to rest and wait for the others Betty." Koji said simply "Did you forget the plan already?"
"No, but it's gonna be boring just waitin around here." huffed Betty taking a seat on a nearby rock.
"We should get some sleep, someone staying up to keep watch in shifts." Takuya said simply "We need to be at 100%."
"I'll keep watch" spoke Yin raising a paw.
"Okay. Wake up Koji in half an hour. Me in the half an hour after that. I'll wake up Betty and Zoe can go last." Takuya nodded.
All of them nodded as the four kids laid down while Yin kept her eyes peeled.
The white Renamon sat next to Koji, staying close to him as she looked up at Belphemon.
"He doesn't look strong, but Koji does have a point. We can't underestimate them."
Meanwhile: Takuya, Betty and Zoe were all curled up close as they drifted to sleep.
Zoe though was subconsciously scratching the bite mark as it glowed slightly again.
*Zoe's dream*
Zoe stood there, looking into a mirror in a pure white wedding dress with pink accents.
"I'm so excited." smiled Zoe who felt elated on her wedding day.
It was finally happening! She, Betty and Takuya were all getting married!
After making sure her hair was just right, she heard Koji knock on the door.
"Zoe, it's time. The others are ready."
"Okay!" She grinned as she grabbed the bouquet and headed out, smiling widely.
She soon made her way to the main part of the church as she took a deep breath and pushed open the doors.
She smiled widely as she walked past all her friends in the aisles.
She spotted Betty in her own bride's gown with Takuya on the other side in a white tux.
The sight just made her smile wider and she was soon at the alter with them.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to join the union of these three teens. If there is anyone who has a reason why they should not be wed, speak now." spoke Bokomon with a book.
The room was silent and Zoe's grin widened and then... she blinked. When she opened her eyes, everything was different. Oh she was still at the church and she was in her dress. Heck, in the exact same spot.
But the place was on fire.
Everyone but her was dead.
And there was blood everywhere.
"Wh-What...?!" gasped Zoe looking around the place in horror.
"Very impressive child." A cruel voice said as the seven Demon Lords, ALL SEVEN, appeared in front of her.
Zoe stared in horror and could only step back in fear.
"You did it." Lilithmon praised as she walked towards her "You killed them all."
"What! You're lying!" she screamed with rage in her eyes.
"Look at your hands." Beelzemon scoffed, Zoe doing as he said. And her eyes widened. Her pristine white gloves were covered in deep, dark red. A heart in her right hand
"N..No..." she whispered in fright as she turned and saw a gaping hole in Takuya's chest.
"You did amazing Zoe." Lilithmon smiled as she gently cupped Zoe's cheek "You passed with flying colours."
"Welcome, the EIGHT Demon Lord! The Sin of Betrayal, Zoe!" Lucemon called in congratulations, the others cheering with him.
Zoe wanted to yell, wanted to cry, wanted to make them pay for what they did.
But she couldn't get herself to pull away.
"Now... isn't there a wedding we need to do?" Lilithmon grinned.
Soon the warrior of wind found herself decked in a black brides dress with a bat necklace around her neck.
She was gripping a bouquet of black roses, a bunch of powerful evil Digimon in the rows.
"Now then, is there anyone who disagrees with this union between demon lords?" asked Lucemon opening a book.
Zoe wanted to speak, but she couldn't. She was standing opposite Lilithmon, and she wanted to punch her, but she couldn't.
"No? Then do you Lilithmon, take Zoe as your wife?" asked Lucemon.
"Of course." She grinned.
"And you, Zoe?" asked Lucemon turning to the warrior of wind.
This was her chance. She just had to do it. To say no.
"I do."
What?! She didn't want to say that! WHY did she say that?!
"Then I now pronounce you two Mistress and wife. You may kiss the bride." smiled Lucemon.
Lilithmon grabbed Zoe by the back of her hair, pulling back roughly which made Zoe gasp, and Lilithmon leant forwards. She slammed her purple lips to Zoe's, kissing her surprisingly softly.
Zoe felt disgusted on the inside, but her body gladly kissed the demon lord back with vigor.
Soon they separated, Lilithmon grinning.
"Now for the wedding band." grinned the lord of lust pulling out a collar with Zoe's name on it.
Zoe wanted to run as she saw the item. It was a plain black collar, except it had a her name written in elegant pink writing. She felt disgusted, she wanted to run. She wanted to scream and kill all of them for what they did, she KNEW it COULDN'T have killed them. She COULDN'T have. But she didn't. Instead: she moved her head forwards, revealing her neck more to allow easier access.
Lilithmon wrapped the collar around her neck and attached a chain to it. "There. A Perfect fit."
Zoe just started, screaming at her body but nothing was working on.
"Zoe?" She heard Betty's voice echoed through the area.
She turned towards the sound of her voice. But she could not find it, as the voice seemed to be coming from every direction.
"Zoe! Zoe! Hey Zoe! Wake up!"
She saw a bright light cover everything around her as all went white.
*Real world*
Zoe yawned as she opened her eyes, pulling herself up.
"Zoe, it's your turn to keep watch." spoke Betty as Zoe rubbed her eyes.
"Oh. Okay." She nodded, yawning a bit.
"Wow, that must have been a GOOD sleep." Betty praised unknowingly "You were sleeping like a baby."
"More like a nightmare." mumbled Zoe.
"What was that?" asked Betty.
"Nothing." replied Zoe shaking her head.
Zoe felt sick. Sleeping like a baby? With THAT dream?
"You just get some sleep." suggested Zoe with a smile at Betty.
"Okay. Wake everyone up in half an hour." Betty nodded as she snuggled into Takuya's side.
Zoe nodded while still going over why she had a dream like that.
"What... is wrong with me?" She growled.
While this went on, she failed to notice the mark on her neck glow brighter than before as it died down again.
*elsewhere*
Lilithmon sat in her thrown, looking at her ball which was glowing as it allowed her to access her mind when she slept.
"Seems she's falling deeper and deeper into my grasp." grinned Lilithmon.
"You having fun?" Beelzemon chuckled.
"Jealous?" mocked Lilithmon.
"Oh no. I find your new game entertaining to watch." Beelzemon grinned back.
"Well I want to see their faces when Belphemon awakens."
"Sure. I'll get my bike." Beelzemon grinned before he frowned "Oh..." he then held out his long arm, opening his claws hand "Give me my guns back."
"I don't have them." grinned Lilithmon.
"YOU were the one who TOOK them!" Beelzemon screamed at her "You took them so I wouldn't shoot your little PROJECT!"
"Yes, and I gave them to Lucemon." grinned the lord of lust.
"You BITCH!" he screamed at her.
"Hey Daemon! Hold still!" yelled Lucemon before a gunfire could be heard.
"LUCEMON!" Beelzemon screamed as he ran towards them.
Lilithmon shook her head before turning back to the crystal ball.
"They are like children." She muttered.
(Back with J.P.'s group)
"Oh how much longer?" J.P. groaned as the group walked.
"It shouldn't be much farther." replied Koichi.
"Yea." Tommy nodded.
"Koichi~! Can you carry me~?" asked Yang looking at Koichi with a cute pout.
"O... Okay..." he blushed.
Yang smiled and jumped on his back with her tail wagging in joy.
Koichi just blushed as the group continued to move.
Neemon idly noticed a small rock fall down from the nearby wall.
"Hello?" He yelled up stupidly.
He spotted a group of several Dokugumon on the wall.
"Oh man, not good." J.P. muttered "Guys! We need to Spirit Evolve!".
"Got it!" cried Koichi and Tommy pulling out their D-Tectors.
"Beetlemon!"
"Kumamon!"
"Lowemon!"
"Thunder Fist!" cried Beetlemon punching one of the spider digimon off the cliff.
"Crystal Freeze!" Kumamon called, firing an iceway at the Spider Digimon.
"Shadow Meteor!" Lowemon roared as he fired the energy blast from his chest.
That knocked several of the digimon off the cliff, but they continued towards the group.
"Take this! Boom Bubble!" yelled Patamon sending a bubble at one of the Dokugumon, which was useless as it snarled at him in anger.
"Diamond Storm!" Yang yelled, jumping into the air and firing black diamonds at the Champions.
*Takuya's group*
Zoe's eyes widened, explosions from her friends battle being clear "Oh no..." looking up she saw Belphemon starting to move "GUYS! HE'S WAKING UP!"
The demon lord of sloth twitched a little as the hands on the clock began to get closer to the mark.
The group all woke up at Zoe's yell.
"Huh?" Takuya asked groggily "What's wrong Zoe?"
"He's about to wake up!" pointed Zoe to the clock.
"Oh crap." Takuya muttered "EVERYONE! FUSION EVOLVE!"
"JetSilphymon!"
"Suirenmon!"
"Aldamon!"
"BeoWolfmon!"
"Go all out!" Aldamon roared "Atomic Inferno!"
"Frozen Hunter!" BeoWolfmon roared.
"Ultra Turbulence!" JetSilphymon added as she slashed.
"Water Hydra Barrage!" yelled Suirenmon using the water in a nearby pool.
The four elemental attacks charged, slamming into Belphemon and clouding the Sloth Lord in smoke.
"Did we get him?" asked Aldamon.
A loud roar came from the dust as a more beast-like creature with broken chains emerged.
"What...the...hell?" whispered Suirenmon as the beast stood up and let his wings spread.
"GRRRRAAAAAAAA!" The Awoken Belphemon roared, creating a powerful shockwave, none of the Warrior's noticing the small injury on it's left shoulder.
"We failed!" cried Yin in horror.
"No..." BeoWolfmon denied as he took a fighting stance, his blade ready .
"The fight has just begun." Aldamon agreed, readying himself.
*with the Demon Lords*
"Looks like they failed." remarked Lilithmon.
"Yea. But now there is the question: can they beat him?" Beelzemon asked, cradling his recovered guns to his chest like they were babies.
"We'll just have to watch." grinned Lilithmon.
"No, I owe you a favor for that broken mirror and slutty Rosemon." Beelzemon waved off as he stood up, holstering his guns "I'll head off and watch your little Princess, save her if she looks like she will be in too much danger."
Lilithmon grinned as he left before whispering to herself. "That Rosemon wasn't as good after I was done with her."
