Yay, 21st chapter. This is going to be a bit more comedic, so enjoy.
"So you and Hinata are getting serious, huh?" Kiba, giant smirk on his face, asked.
I rolled my eyes and nodded while sipping on my drink. Boy's Night Out. Why didn't I skip it like I did last time? Naruto next to me gave off a snicker before commenting on how it should be serious since he received a rather large bill from our first date. Everyone laughed and I wanted to kill someone.
"So what's it like making out with her?" Chouji asked while munching on his third bag potato chips. I flushed. What are we, middle school girls?
"We haven't made out," I told them, recalling the two moments of intimate kissing.
"So you haven't even gotten to first base yet, oh yeah you guys are really serious," Kiba drawls out and everyone laughs once more. Would anyone miss him if he were to suddenly disappear.
"You know what, it's none of your damn business," I said while giving Kiba a pointed look, "And before you all decide to laugh even more. Question: have any of you made it to first base with any girl?" everyone went quiet. "That's what I thought."
Everything was awkward and rightfully so before Shikamaru changed the subject to that of our noisy female neighbors and asked if Naruto was going do anything about it. Naruto smiled sheepishly and scratched the back of his head. He explained that he had tried to tell Ino and Sakura to tone it down or at least have one move to another apartment, but he was met with several hairbrushes being chucked at his head, one of them hitting him just above his eyes and giving him a serious knot. That could explain why he had become recluse for a few days. Everyone either laughed or groaned, knowing there was possibly no end in sight for the rude awakenings. Might as well put my alarm clock away for the time being.
"Keep in mind I share a floor with these girls," Shikamaru said while pinching the bridge of his nose, "At least put them in the basement where it will be quiet."
"The rats haven't done anything to deserve that type of punishment, man," Chouji said and everyone laughed at the frustrated look on Shikamaru's face.
"Fine, I'll give them one last warning or else it's an eviction." Naruto finished and everyone nodded in agreement before moving onto the topic of the rather dreary weather.
"Seriously, it's rained for like the fifth time in two weeks," Kiba said while chugging down his drink. I'd like to say it was more than that, but I decided to let it go.
"It just means spring's around the corner," Lee said cheerfully. He was being really tamed tonight.
"Yeah, well spring can move over for summer already because I'm sick of it," Sasuke put in as he ate his chips. Everyone besides Lee and I nodded
Personally I had nothing against the rain. Yes, it bugged me everytime when it decided to rain cats and dogs on me, but half the time it was because I was being stupid and didn't bring an umbrella. The rain had its merits such as having to cancel a date with your girlfriend, so you both decide to stay inside your apartment, cuddle a bit, and eat cinnamon buns. Also makes great sleepy weather, which makes it easier for you and your girlfriend to simply fall asleep in each other arms and wake up more refreshed than you ever had been. Yes, the rain can suck, but it can also be your best friend.
Inwardly chuckling, I took another sip of my drink and continued to mingle with the boys. Topics ranged from our jobs, to tests, to what was possibly the most annoying thing about each other- apparently mine was about how I still sounded as though I came from upperclass life, which can be attributed to the fact that I still have a faint British accent. Lee's won out however when everyone agreed that his work out routines in the early morning could get annoying, especially when it involved knocking on people's door at four in the morning asking if they wanted to come jogging. Oh how I loathed those days. Thankfully he stopped when Tenten hit him upside the head with a frying pan during one his attempts at her apartment. The contact could be heard for blocks, and everyone was surprised that Lee didn't need to go to the hospital afterwards. To give Lee credit however, I thought Kiba's constant bringing home of stray dogs was the most annoying because he was lousy at hiding them. Seriously, if wanted to hide your dog, make sure it doesn't bark at two in the morning
The final topic of the night was plans after high school graduation. Naruto was going to take online classes in business- weird, I know, Sasuke was possibly going to take up law. Shikamaru was thinking of heading into teaching- weird since he doesn't even have the motivation to do his own schoolwork, and Chouji was looking into becoming a chef- big surprise. Soon after Naruto kicked everyone out and I head for my apartment. Hinata's apartment light could be seen from under the cracks, so I decided to knock on the door.
"L-Lelouch?" she asked, dressed in an overgrown T-shirt and pajama pants.
"Just wanted to say good night," I said while giving her an apologetic smile. Hinata smiled back and gave me her own smile. Carefully, I cupped her face and gave her gentle kiss on the forehead before giving her a quick peck on the lips, "Good night," I repeated in a whisper before letting her go back inside and then heading for my apartment for the night.
I know it wasn't long, but as I said it was bit more comedic and I was writing this at four in the morning. Anyway, hope you enjoy and tell me what you think.
