Disclaimer: I changed some details from the show. For example, Maura and Constance have a slightly better relationship than in the show.

A/N:

Here's some flashbacks, fluff and whatnot. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who's made it this far, and for sticking with this story. I apologize for taking so long, really. But here's another chapter:

You're invited to

celebrate the marriage of

Jane C. Rizzoli

Maura D. Isles

Saturday, June 29, 2013

Boston-Cambridge Church

The date was picked. The wedding invitations were made, and sent out (all 200 of them). The honeymoon was booked. Things were coming together, and even the cake was chosen. All on top of the duo working.

The load had taken its toll with the couple, so they both took a day off, it was a wednesday morning. Jane stirred, and found herself with her arm around Maura, as the big spoon. She took a breath, and took advantage of the moment of rest. She closed her eyes again, and began to think about just how things came together, and just how well it seemed to go, overall.

Constance had planned a trip to see her daughter in Boston. Maura had spent a lot of time, cleaning, cooking, and Jane by her side, following orders. Finally, the time had come. There was a knock on the door.

"Calm down, honey." Jane said, rubbing her fiance's shoulders.

"You too." Maura said, wrapping her arms around Jane's neck, kissing her softly. "She'll love you. Jane. And if she doesn't, she's just going to have to-"

Jane interrupted her, "Don't go there. I love you."

"Love you too." Maura answered the door. "Mother."

"Maura, look at you." Constance said warmly, "and you must be Detective Rizzoli." She held her hand out, after hugging her daughter.

"Mrs. Isles, Jane, please." That's when Constance saw the ring. Her engagement ring from long ago, back before she had adopted Maura. She suddenly put two and two together.

"Jane. It's lovely to meet you."

"And you the same." The three made it to the living room, Jane and Maura sat on the couch across from Constance, in a chair.

"So Maura. You're engaged."

"Y-yes mother." Maura said nervously. Inadvertently, she grabbed for Jane's hand, which was already grasping hers.

"I've heard many good things about her." Jane sat there uncomfortably.

"Well, thanks."

"I wanted to tell you, mother, but I wanted you to meet her first." Maura said. "Do you want a drink? Tea, coffee?"

"A coffee would be lovely, Maura." Constance replied, and then turned to Jane. Maura glanced at Jane, and then headed towards the kitchen. "Jane. How are you?"

Jane thought for a moment, and then finally spoke, "Happy."

"That's nice to hear. So you got her to move across the country, you must be one special woman."

"She's the special one, Mrs. Isles-"

"Constance, please. Seeing as we're going to be related soon."

"Right. Well she's the special one. I'm the lucky one. I promise that everyday I try and make myself worthy. I assure you- hell I'd put my life on the line for her. I can't imagine a world without her. She's-" Jane caught herself going overboard.

"It's okay, Jane. You love her, and she loves you. That is quite clear." Just then, Maura entered, holding two cups of coffee in hand. She handed one to Jane, and one to her mother. The glimmer in Jane's eyes didn't escape her noticing. She smiled, seeing Jane smiley.

Wedding rings. Maura had given Jane an engagement ring, one that she had made, which seemed like an easy decision compared to the deciding on wedding rings. It brought up the money thing, which was somewhat avoided.

"Jane, it's not even a dent. Please." Maura asked, as the two sat across from each other, in the kitchen.

"But... Maur I still have to get something, the cake at least."

"Okay."

"Okay?"

"Yeah. I know you know, but I want you to hear again. I love you. You." Jane stood up and walked to Maura. She placed a kiss on the top of her head, and then finished, "And your money, its not nothing, but it's not important to me. It's hard for me to live in the world that you do sometimes, but if it means I spend my life with you, I try."

"Jane..." Maura said at almost a whisper. "I love you too."

"That's my girl... oh and. Fine. We can do that thing... that you wanted to do with the rings. It was pretty... and comfortable."

"Really?"

"Yeah. "

Jane thought for a little while longer, then opened her eyes to place a kiss on Maura's neck. After, she rolled over and got out of bed. She looked around for something to put on- as she slept naked, most of the time. She found a pair of boxers and slipped them on. She went into the kitchen, and made some food. Then some coffee. She ate, and drank. She wouldn't be up for a while, Jane thought. So she began wandering around the house, opening drawers, messing around. She sat down and put the T.V on.

After flipping through channels, she decided to go back to bed. She entered the room, and saw Maura, still sleeping soundly. Jane crept up and kneeled beside Maura's side. She looked at her fiance, and found her to be almost angelic. Jane couldn't think of anything more beautiful than that moment. After a moment, she poked at Maura's side. "Baby. Wake up."

Nothing.

"Babe. Babe. Babe. Babe. Babe."

Nothing.

"Maur. Maur. Maur. Maur. Maur."

Nothing.

In her best british accent, Jane tried, "Lois. Lois. Lois. Lois. Lois."

Nothing.

So then she leaned up and placed her lips on Maura's, suddenly, Maura was kissing her back, and pulling her on top of her. Jane straddled her, pinning her arms up. Maura looked up, and smiled, "Somebody got bored."

"Sorry. Kinda."

"It's okay Jane..." Maura laughed, and Jane kissed her again. Only this time, it was long, and lustful. Thank god for a day off... the two thought simultaneously.

Don't forget to review... It would mean a lot to me.
