Amber's P.O.V~

Chapter Twenty-One

Crud. Aghh! Why did I want to ruin this uplifting moment with a guilty conscience? However, I panicked that I'd lose her again so I start confessing this long, long story as our animal anatomy slowly disappears...

"I know you're not going to believe me," I sighed, feeling this heavy burden off my shoulders. "But it's the truth."

However, It didn't lift off fully when my best friend just freezes. Her mouth kept opening and closing like a fish out of water. I knew it, my friendship is officially over! "PFFFFTT," Grace spurted out. Huh? What's happening? "Pull the other one! I know you're rich but that ain't your dad." She chuckled excessively. I reacted with dull surprise by that remark. "I'm serious! This fame-ridden entrepreneur is my father,"

"You look nothing like him though," she shrugged. "Thank Merlin for that, I hate Thomas," I grumbled with bitter tone. My wrist is stinging now by besmirching his name.

Grace had automatically reached for my arm. Her emerald eyes flashed with sharp anger. She rolled up my sleeve and glared at the R symbol.

It sprouted to a rash and then disappeared like it normally would. "What does that word mean," she grunted furiously. I gulped. "It meant...Restraint, I can't actually blab what I want to say without this thing on my wrist." "Who did that to you," she whispered anxiously. I gulped again, my throat feeling dry.

"His manservant, he done it and didn't need to recommend fully to my so called father," I spoke with so much hatred in my voice."Oh my god, so you are really his daughter," she breathed in shock.

"Unfortunately," I mumbled, moving my foot daintily. "What about your friend who passed, what was her name?"

The thought of my childhood friend didn't cross my mind—even when I'm alone. When I mentioned her previously, my chest freezes. "Her name was Katheryn," I choked slightly. Grace looked grief-stricken and patted my back for reassurance. I feel better. "Listen, look at me," said Grace. I did look. She gave me a half-wilting smile.

"I'm right here, so if you want to keep something to yourself—go ahead and do it,"

"Well—I can only keep one secret," I giggled. "Shut up, you can keep more than that..." She smirked and jabbed my arm with her elbow. I elbowed her back.

"You promise I won't lose you again..."

She had pull out her little finger while I did the same and crossed it with a fulfilling muggle vow. "I promise," she giggled though took this vow very seriously. "Good," I smiled.

"I'm really hungry, I wish they can do cheese burgers at this place," Grace sighed. "I assume I can put a word in with the house eleves," I shrugged. "Yes please, I'm having a cheat day!" She squealed and jumped up excitedly. I burst out laughing and shown her the way towards kitchens...

Draco's P.O.V

"Dracky, where were you!" called out my bitch of an ex. "Piss off," I snapped, returning to my male domain with a pack of sugar quills. "Here you go mate," I smirked, throwing them to him. Blaise ripped into them and mocked me with a smile. "You are so good to me! Don't break up ever," he grinned dryly. "I will if you talk like that, mate," I grunted. He laughed anyway. "I doubt that we fizzle out, though,"

"Shut up, I got other friends—I got Nott!" I scoffed. "Nott is actually my friend so I doubt he'd like you for your personality first and you'd hate having Crabbe and Goyle—dull as dung,"

"Whatever,"

"And you also wouldn't met—tch never mind..."

"Who wouldn't I meet, Zabnini?" I ask deviously. Blaise had bite his tongue and said nothing. "Met who, spit it out you arse!" I demanded irritably. He laughed faintly. "It doesn't matter," he shrugged. "Tell me for fuck-sake," I drawled angrily. Blaise crossed his arms, refusing to squeal. "Hmm, you wouldn't want anyone to know about your get together with one of the French boys last year?"I convey confidently.

His eyes widened as he fell off the chamber bed. This comical incident didn't change my determination. "Pshhh, you must've mixed me up with some other-"

"Cut it out Blaise, I know you're gay," I spoke smugly.

"H-H-How, I er—I was very careful," said Blaise in an ashamed manner. "I've known about it since we're first years," I shrugged, sucking one of the sugar quills."What, I said I like girls and know what to do them?" He claimed intensely, throwing himself back on the bed. "Even so, you boasted the wrong things that girls like and I see what you're hiding very clearly," I grinned, rolling my eyes. "This is bad—this is bad—Malfoy,"

Dumbfounded, I stared at him. "Why wouldn't it be bad?" I ask. "My dad, he wouldn't be fond of me being different y'know-"

"Huh, sorry mate...I was bluffing about blackmailing you earlier,"

"Amber is my cousin," he blurted out. Wait what?! "Huh?"

"Because of that reason to keep my lifestyle a secret, I did something I regret," Blaise muttered, glaring at his feet. "I humiliated her ...to convince Flint—It was horrible—I'm a coward our friendship was over." Suddenly, he started to cry.

Punch, Punch. "Oww, Malfoy!" Blaise winced, rubbing his black eye. I looked at my shaking hand. What the hell is wrong with me?! "Why did you do that to her for! You suppose to protect her!" "I'm sorry Malfoy...wait you really do care," "I don't care about you," I hissed, slumping back on the chair.

"No—not me—Amber Charlton...you really like her don't ya!"

"Pfft, no I don't—your illusion is running away with ya, its all pretend Blaise!"

"Oh crap, I have to break your legs-" he groaned. "I just fucking told you—I do not—I repeat I don't like her," I sneered, crossing my arms. "I also see what your hiding very clearly," Blaise leered.

"What D'you mean, A? It is your idea," Grace Harrison shrugged. "But I was never cut out leading and I've been held back by Umbridge a few days ago..."

"Hey you girls, come on in!" Harrison yelled. Before Amber would blink, they all bustled in like colourful birds, flapping their feathers. She stood up, shaking a bit but resolve her determination. "Good afternoon, Its already the first of December and we should share some ideas...
