...

AVALANCHE has caused a mess. She sat there miserable, looking out the window as the car they were in drove past. "It's not as bad as the last time." Netzach narrowed her eyes at the young man that sat across from her. "What do you mean?" she retorted.

"They have been known to get a little, out of hand, so to speak at times." Rufus smirked, and shrugged it off, like he did to most things. And it irritated her. Rufus ShinRa was on the outside a carfree young man, whom didn't seem to give a damn about the otuside world. But little did people truely know. The Vice President was a cunning man, he played a role outside for the world to see then revealed his true self to people he could somewhat trust. Like the Turks and even herself. Within her time getting to know Rufus ShinRa under orders from his father, she has gotten to know a far extent of what Rufus is really like. Netzach really wouldn't put him as far as to say he was a bad guy, even though he could play the part well. But he did have a dark streak.

Netzach reverted her gaze to the window. "Think of it this way Netzach." the girls eyes didn't look to the owner of the voice. "It's a political advantage. The enemy of my enemy..." Netzach looked at Rufus then, "You mean your father?"

"Yes my old man. He's running this company into the ground, with his thoughts on controlling the people with money... The people will work and they will do as they are told. But sooner or later money just won't do anymore. ShinRa can and will buy anyone or anything out, but people are starting to not give a damn. Hence groups like AVALANCHE. They can't be bought out and they strike out at ShinRa thinking it's all a big glorious quest to save the planet. But is it? Maybe Mako reactors are doing damage to the earth, maybe their not. By doing this they would like you to think they give a damn, that they care, they somehow think that killing a few people gets this point across. Their more like terroists if you ask me. So all in all since my father is just sitting around and letting all this happen..."

"You hate your father anyways Rufus, and you'll find any reason to hate him even more, that is obvious." Netzach glared a little

"Netzach I don't care much for my old man, I would think you of all people would relize that."

"So what Rufus? You planning just to take the company from you father?"

"Your the one that has been spying on my ongoings, you tell me."

Netzach shrugged and shuffled into the leather seat. "I think you got some sort of underground war going on." Rufus smirked then. "Enemy of my enemy."

"So they work for you... obviously. They won't get as far as killing your father."

The Vice Presient shrugged. "Perhaps not. But it is putting a damper on things don't you agree? My father is a constant state of panic, he doesn't look it but I know him. He's worried."

"Yea worried your coming after him, that is why he hooked me up on this stupid job ya know."

"Oh I know but this is the good part Netzach, you working for me, will let him know I knew all along, and that I won you as... a prize."

Netzach glared at the man. "I'm not some "thing" you can own ya know."

Rufus shook his head. "No your much more. You are one of the most interesting people I have ever met. Also one of the most powerful, thanks to your father and the Professor. And to think your still... just a child."

"I'm gonna be fucking 13-" Rufus stopped her before she continue. He looked at her with a quirked brow and an amused smirk on his lips. "Quite the mouth for a 12 year old." Netzach interrupted. "Thirteen-"

"You said you were going to be thirteen... so your twelve currently."

Netzach folded her arms and went back to looking out the window. "Whatever" she stated.

...

It was late by the time they arrived back at the ShinRa building. Netzach just wanted to go to bed. But Rufus insited upon a little meeting upstars. So here she was upstairs, top floor listening to a battle of wits and anger and spiting rage between father and son. She rolled her eyes. Hell if she ever got into a argument like that with her father... well things would of gone down the tubes.

The father blamed the son, the son turned around and blamed the father. It didn't seem there was a lot of love going around just hate. Swinging words at one another wasn't good for ones health. It just made the hate speratic. Unpredictable.

"What the hell were you doing?" The CEO was mad. "Nothing father. Seriously they attacked us out of no where."

Oh what a thing to say, Netzach new Rufus' little assassionation games, his funding to AVALANCHE. Everything. But did she say a word? No. Why? She didn't know. Was he testing her? Maybe. It wasn't worth saying anything here and now. Besides she was tired and wanted some form of sleep. She had to be up the next day and ready to go.

She yawned. "Why the hell did you bring the girl anyways?"

Rufus shook his head. "The why isn't important, you wouldn't care anyways. Besides Netzach came in handy. One could say she saved the day."

"That doesn't matter. Go home." Rufus gave his father a cold glare but shrugged it off and walked out of the office. Netzach would follow but she heard the President call her name. She turned and walked towards the man. "Yes sir?"

He lit a cigar first, giving him some time before he spoke, not wanting his own son to over hear anything. "You find anything missy?"

Her heart jumped into her throat it seemed. She could tell the CEO everything, or she could shut him out and tell him nothing. If she did say something Rufus would probably be in a large amount of trouble involving a punishment she rather not think of, if she could prove anything that is. I mean she could say anything but have absalute no proof. She could lie her little heart out and would the President eat it right form her hands? She didn't know but he did seem desperate for information.

"Nothing sir, The attack seemed like a legite attack in the Vice Presidents life. He never acted out of the ordinary either." The older mam huffed and shook his head. "Keep looking Netzach" was all he said before he went back to her desk. She took that as a dismisal and ran down the stairs only to bump into Rude. He nodded and looked in the direction of Rufus' office. "Greeeeaat." she thought.

She walked into the small office. She noticed Dark Nation and his masters feet. The pantherhound seemed content there. "You wanted to speak with me?" Her hands clasped together. She hoped this would be brief. "Yes" he answered. "What did you tell me old man?" She took in a deep breath. "Nothing".

"Nothing?"

"Yes nothing."

Rufus smirked then. "Welcome aboard Netzach."

"What?" she was confused.

"Remember when we spoke of loyalties and not knowing which side you were on exactly?" Her eyes said it all. He continued anyways. "You just picked this side of the little war Netzach. Congratulations."

"How...? What...? What the hell I thought you like... made me join your stupid side of whatever anyways!?"

"Now I really do own all of you it would seem."

Netzach huffed. "You BASTARD!" She walced right up to him. "I may be in this kind of position but I am owned by no one, you hear me? NO ONE! I'm not picking a side in your stupid little war against your own father."

He shook his head, his smirk still apparent. "It's not just about my old man Netzach. Obviously he needs to go but AVALANCHE has now basically dug their own graves." Netzach clenched her fists. "If you didn't do all your little contracts with them then-"

"Then what Netzach?"

"Would you stop interuppting me!"

"There is going to be a all out war in the slums of Midgar, it's going to happen right under peoples noses and they won't even know. AVALANCHE has got something planned. What I don't even know."

Netzach sighed. "What the hell does all this got to do with you trying to kill off your own father?" Rufus cocked his head at her. "It would make me President obviously. My plans for this company are much bigger and better then anything my father could comprehend. I will rule this world as I see fit, not with just broken promises and money. That only gets you so far Netzach. AVALANCHE, as they say keep your friends close and your enemies even closer, is something that won't last forever. Their terroists. No good planning behind them whatsoever. If ShinRa goes to war it would be like Watui all over again but on home turff you see."

"Some sort of underground war between AVALANCHE and ShinRa. Lots of people would die."

"Unfortunatly yes." Rufus' eyes shone with a bit of amusement. Like he didn't care, which he probably didn't. "You choose not to tell my father anything, now I know where you stand. Your careful with loyalties and rather test the waters first before diving in. Smart move. I also sense that you dislike my old man. I don't blame you."

The girl grit her teeth, why the hell was she letting him get to her she had no clue. She was tired and wanted sleep more then anything. "I suppose my father wants to you to still keep an eye on me?" The girl nodded, then crossed her arms. "Continue to do so then." She looked at him odd then. "We wouldn't want him to know the tides have turned would we?" The girl lowered her defenses. "I suppose not so."

"From now on Netzach if anything goes astray, you are to report to Rude or myself." She sighed. "Rude knows about your little assassination attempts?" Rufus shrugged. "Not really, let's keep a secret between you and I shall we? All the turks know is that my father suspects me of things."

"I see..."

...

"Finally!" the youth callapsed on her bed. She didn't care if the dear Professor waltzed in here right now demanding whatever of the girl she wasn't going to budge. "This was a bad idea." she thought. She should of told the CEO everything but she didn't. Why? Why didn't she say anything? She wouldn't be in this mess if she did. What the hell did Rufus mean by picking a side anyways. ShinRa was ShinRa, if anything AVALANCHE was a opposing side. Almost seemed like some sort of civil war he was counting on. Perhaps get his old man killed in the process. Take over the company, scratch that, take over the world and then what? She didn't know. Rufus babbled a lot. He sure liked to hear himself talk. But she guessed it was ok. Other then Garrius and Hojo, really it was only a few of the Turks and Rufus that were somewhat nice to her. Althought now she just felt like a pawn.

Netzach curled up more into the bed. How the hell was she going to do this? What did he want from her anyways? "Just sleep." she thought. "It will fix itself tomorrow. It was something her folks had always told her but she had a funny feeling this wasn't going to fix itself. Someone would have to fix it by hand.
