Hello Sonadow fans & fans to this here story…Just a quick note to say I'm going to really try and upload a chapter a month. So on or around the 13th of each month I'll upload until I'm finished with this story…Thank you all for being so patient, I appreciate all feedback and comments, so please enjoy reading and thank you for your support…

Chapter twenty-one

The door to Shadow's room creaked open slowly and those who opened it walked through one by one, with the last one in closing the door up slightly. Tails and Rouge walked up to the bed and sat on the end, Emily sat beside her son with tears filling up her eyes, threatening to fall if she dared to blink. Collin, the last one in pulled up the swirly chair from Shadow's desk and moved it towards the bed, then sat down. He had a concerned look as he cleared his throat.

"I've quickly gone through my laptop searching for this demon but it seems there isn't much data on him that we don't already know. He's a very rare type of demon which kind of explains why there isn't much information on him, he's deemed highly dangerous and deadly, cannot be bargained or traded with in any way and no living creature wants to cross paths with him. We have no new information that could possibly help. Every link to every site I looked up on the web basically said to stay clear, don't contact him, don't mess with him and prey he doesn't choose you…There is one story that I came across while searching but it doesn't end very well, in fact it ends up with the victim decapitated and the victims close family and friends receiving each a piece of the victim." Collin announced and getting a little chocked up near the end.

"W-what do you mean a piece?" Rouge asked suspiciously thinking the worse, like the victims head was chopped up.

"…Well the body was carved up into pieces and sent to each close friend and family member…all apart from the head, that was never found. The person who wrote the article reckons the demon kept the head as a souvenir or something like that." Collin explained then added in an almost inaudible whisper, "I believe the person to be right. I believe the demon did keep the head of his victim, the article was written almost 2 decades ago."

"Maybe we should try and contact whoever this person is, he or she might be able to help." Tails piped up.

"Good idea, hopefully they're still alive." Rouge said then added "you can leave that to me, when it comes to tracking down people, I'm your gal."

"Thank you." Both Emily and Collin said together.

"Did Shadow ever study demons at all?" Sonic asked curiously, somewhat changing the subject slightly.

"No he chose to do a study on mortals such as yourselves, your customs and your home world." Emily answered then asked in an equal amount of curiosity, "why you ask?"

"Well if Shadow never studied demons or encountered any demons, then…" Sonic started but was interrupted with the interrupter finishing his question for him.

"…then why did he recognise the name Mephiles?" Collin finished with realisation on the last thing his son said before he fell silent in the study.

"He could of heard it from a book." Tails suggested.

"I don't think he did, he's never been one for this type of subject, supernatural novels & factual books just doesn't interest him much." Emily stated worryingly as she looked at her sleeping son.

"I don't know I've seen him read twilight…and laughing his head off…Na your right, totally not his thing." Sonic added with a small smile at the memory of Shadow sitting in bed beside him laughing and taking the piss out of the book. (N/A.I love the films so not taking the piss out of Twilight b.t.w.)

Deep inside of Shadow's mind, shadow was loosing his sanity no thanks to Mephiles screwing with his thoughts and tuning into Shadow's darkness. He was trying with every fibre in his being to keep sane and logical but it was hard when you have a demon screwing around in your head whispering things and slowly making sense.

"Why fight this Shadow you know as well as I do that mortals are nothing more than smoke, there lives can blow away as fast as they began. Either by natural causes or an accident, their bodies are fragile and weak. Why bother wasting your time with one? Especially since you have no desire in torturing or penetrating it. Yeah I looked through your memories kind of hard to resist, never been in the mind of a vampire such like yourself. A lot of juice info." Mephiles said as he teleported from one paces to another yet never leaving Shadows sight.

"LEAVE MY MIND NOW!" Shadow shouted as loud as he could, growling fiercely while shaking slightly in anger.

Shadow suddenly froze, eyes wide with horror as he recalled something Mephiles had just admitted to him.

"You've looked through my memories, which one's?" Shadow whispered in a panic that was loud enough for Mephiles to hear.

Mephiles just smirked at his reply. This snapped Shadow out of his current frozen position.

"WHICH ONE'S" Shadow demanded in an uproar of rage, fists clenched with anger as he stared daggers at Mephiles.

"Well there's no need to shout my pet. If you really want to know ask me nicely." Mephiles cooled in a mocking and sinister like way.

"Just tell me or else, and I'm not your pet" Shadow spat out through gritted teeth, as he shook with anger. His eyes were ablaze with rage as his darkness started to show slightly in his fists.

"Or else what?" Mephiles asked in an equally serious manner, noticing his 'pets' fists then added with a flick of his wrist, "encase you have forgotten, I'm in full control of your mind and can do whatever I like, for example…"

Mephiles called upon his own powers of darkness and made purple like creatures to hold and secure Shadow so he was motionless. The shock of being suddenly grabbed, caused his darkness to subside and fade away. Shadow tried to fight them off, once he was over the surprise attack, struggling against their grip but all his efforts were fruitless and Shadow found that he was contained in their hold, firmly. Shadow didn't like to admit to himself but he was now at the mercy of the demon in front of him. Suddenly to Shadow, the looked at memories didn't matter any more, they weren't top of his list of importance, getting his freedom within his mind was.

"Told ya so, my sweet little pet…away." Mephiles matter of factly said then waved his hand and the creatures let go of Shadow and disappeared like smoke into the atmosphere.

Shadow sighed with little relief of being free from those creatures grip. Suddenly the feeling of dread rose from deep inside of him, he looked to where Mephiles was a moment ago but the demon wasn't there. Shadow zipped around looking in all directions but he was nowhere.

"I really don't like this. Where the hell did he go?" Shadow whispered under his breath as he hesitated in moving from the spot he was in.

Shadow shook his head and decided that this was his mind and he wasn't about to let some crazed demon take over. He moved forward with confidence and proceeded in the direction he had chosen to take, hoping it will lead him to somewhere that will help him get out of this insane mind trip. Something in the back of Shadow's mind was telling him that something was changing, something felt different within him but he still pressed on, no time in dwelling on that thought…just yet…

A knock on Shadow's chamber door startled those inside, a figure entered, slowly at first then stopped as she realised all eyes were on her.

"Max is on the phone to Joey, he's packing as they talk. Is Shadow alright?" Tanya announced then asked as she saw her brother on the bed looking very uneasy in his unconscious state.

"Thanks for calling him and I really don't know sweetheart, I really don't know." Collin thanked his daughter and answered her with a saddened & unsure tone.

"Don't suppose you would know if Shadow had made contact with a demon in the past?" Emily asked softly receiving a no from her daughter then added, "thought not, never mind sweetheart."

"Who's Joey?" Rouge questioned curiously.

"Joey is my cousin, he's my father's sister's son, he's helped out a few times with Shadow in the past." Colin answered with a string of hope.

"Him and Shadow seem to have this special bond and we're hoping that he could help wake Shadow up." Emily added with the same level of hope in her voice.

"May I just ask as to how he could help?" Tails asked with high curiosity sparkling in his eye's

"Sure Joey has his own special gift…and no before you say anything this isn't Twilight, only a few males on my side of the family have gifts, not random vampires…yes I've read the books too…" Collin started but was interrupted by his wife.

"It's his guilty pleasure." Emily said with a snigger.

"Anyway…Joey had the gift of sight. He can see past and future events, yes a little like Alice in Twilight Sonic, and like Shadow can invade dreams a little. He's also been known to wake those in a coma up and we were hoping he might be able to do the same for Shadow." Collin finished explaining.

"You read all the twilight books, who's your favourite character?" Rouge asked with a playful smirk.

(N/A Mine is Jasper…anyhow…)

Before he could answer, Max rushed into the room with the phone, he stopped next to Collin.

"Sorry to burst in but Joey wants to speak to you my Lord." Max urgently announced holding out the phone to Collin, bowing his head slightly as he spoke.

Collin took the phone, thanked Max, excused himself then left the room to speak to his cousin.

"I suppose Joey wants to know exactly what's going on." Max announced with a light-hearted smile.

"Its Dr Carlisle, guess he can relate." Emily answered Rouge's question with a grin.

"Who likes who now?" Max asked in confusion.

Shadow was slowly strolling along whatever this path was when he suddenly heard Mephiles in the distance. He quickened his pace until a door appeared in front of him. Putting an ear up to the door Shadow listened in. Yep Mephiles was most defiantly in there and he could also hear moaning too. Puzzled, Shadow put his hand onto the door knob and turned it gently then pushed the door open slowly until it was all the way. Shadow froze in shock at what his eyes were seeing. It was a memory of his and Sonic's first time making love. Mephiles looked in the corner of his eye and saw the shock on Shadow's face as he watched the scene play out.

"Ooh La La Shads, ooh la la indeed." Mephiles said as he faced the now embarrassed vampire then whispered in Shadow's ear, "never knew vampires could be so much fun…in bed"

"H-how dare you come into my mind and just watch my most inner intermit moments with my boyfriend like some kind of porn movie. You are totally sick." Shadow said in slight anger, still feeling embarrassed about the whole exposure.

Shadow grabbed an unsuspecting Mephiles and pushed him out through the door then walking out himself, closing it after him. The door vanished within seconds after he closed it shut. Mephiles was still a little shocked of Shadow's sudden actions but soon recovered.

"Talk about Mr sensitive. I know exactly what your problem is and I can fix that." Mephiles said in a slight seductive manner then rushed up to Shadow, who had no time to react, and pinned Shadow roughly against what could only be some sort of wall.

"Yeah and what in the name of chaos might…that…be…" Shadow spat out through gritted teeth, then started to get a little uncomfortable as Mephiles got way too close after he was pinned up against a wall.

Mephiles smirked as he lent forward to whisper in Shadow's ear."You need a little Meph time."

"W-what?" Shadow shakily breathed out as Mephiles' grip increased slightly.

"You heard me my little pet." Mephiles seductively answered then licked Shadow's jaw line, all the way up to his ear, nibbling at the tip to get his point across.

Shadow's mind was racing as fast as Sonic could run. He couldn't move, he was too shocked to speak, he was now officially at the others mercy. He tried to snap back but for an unknown reason Shadow was slowly submitting to Mephiles' touches, licks, kisses. He started to want, no needed to feel more. It was like something had snuck inside of him and switched the fight button off. A sudden flame started to burn deep inside of Shadow as Mephiles connected their lips and an extremely heated kiss took place.

Shadow couldn't help but to realise a moan or two and wanted so badly to wrap his arms around the demons head to pull him in to deepen the kiss further. Mephiles smirked in the kiss as Shadow's moans hit his ears, he took a risk and realised the grip on Shadow which didn't go unnoticed. Shadow did exactly what he's been craving to do since this burning sensation took place, he deepened the kiss and pushed into Mephiles, almost causing the two to fall onto the ground. Mephiles broke the bond and grinned at Shadow.

"Well, well, well Shadow I'm liking this new wild side of yours, you can thank me later but right now why don't we seal the deal and make this bondage complete, I hear you like to play a little rough, which is entirely how I love to play." Mephiles smirk grew with pure joy as he though on all the things he is going to do with Shadow.

Shadow didn't seem too concerned at that look and felt a little strange deep inside, a little desperate to get things rolling for some reason. It was so unlike him, it was as if he wasn't himself, as if something was taking over his mind, breaking free and pushing his sane logical self to a far corner like a child being punished for bad behaviour. Shadow was starting to grow impatient and decided to get this ball rolling. Shadow pounced into Mephiles causing him to fall to the ground, Shadow now had Mephiles pinned to the ground.

"You know Meph I'm getting a little bored." Shadow stated, leaning closely to Mephiles' face so they were nose to nose.

"Oh I can fixed that." Mephiles assured his somewhat attacker.

"So can I." Shadow smirked then dug his claws deep into Mephiles' shoulders where Shadow had pinned him.

Mephiles hissed at the sudden stinging sensation. A spark lit up in his green snake-like eyes as he felt Shadow licking his blood and sucking the cuts to entice more to spill. This has now become an unnatural 4 play war between vampire and demon…

Back in the underworld it has been 2 house since Shadow had fallen into an unconscious state and things had become a little hopeful as Joey made his was up the entrance stairs with a pull trolley behind him, carrying essential items. Joey was an ash grey hedgehog with his quills spiking upwards and black tips at the end of each quill, his eyes were a glistering sky blue colour making him look young and innocent like. He was wearing an ordinary black shirt with long sleeves, top two buttons undone, dark blue skinny leg jeans and a pair of causal white trainers with a dark blue stripe on the sides and electric blue underneath.

Suddenly Joey stopped at the top of the stairs, gasped as his eyes glassed over and a vision took place. Collin who had come to meet Joey saw him standing there as still as a statue, mouth open and tears slowly making their way down his face. Joey whispered a faint "please no" before collapsing to his knees. Collin rushed to help his cousin.

"Joey, Joey wake up, snap out of it." Collin lightly shook his cousin which thankfully did the trick.

"C-Collin this is bad, very bad." Joey said as he was assisted to his feet.

"What was it that you saw?" Collin desperately asked with pleading eyes.

"I-I need…where is everyone, they all need to hear this." Joey asked shakily.

In the deepest depths of Shadow's unconsciousness, things were becoming a little too crazy. There was blood smeared almost everywhere in the room they moved to, it was hard to distinguish who's blood was who's and by the looks of the two it was hard to tell who was inflecting the most pain as they both fought for dominance. For the moment it was Shadow in control, clawing his look-alike with his fangs over his chest and slowly scratching the sides at the same time. All marks drawing blood as Shadow slowly moved down towards Mephiles' abdomen then licking the blood on the way up, back to his chest. Mephiles moaned at every cut, lick and small kisses Shadow was performing on his body but it was time for the big event, sealing the bondage between himself and his vampire pet. If he didn't then he would have next to no chance in controlling Shadow completely and making sure Shadow belonged to him and him alone.

"Not exactly Edwards plan but screw him." Mephiles thought before making his move.

Mephiles pulled Shadow up so he was looking straight into glowing ruby iris' then grinned deviously. All of a sudden Shadow gasped as Mephiles slammed him onto the floor and dug his now crystallised claws deep into his chest. Shadow felt a surge of ecstasy rush through him, the pain was becoming such a turn on where in reality it should be doing the opposite. Shadow watched as Mephiles removed his claws and licked them clean seductively before they returned to normal. Mephiles' eye's never leaving Shadow's as he did so.

"So having fun with this never ending battle for dominance or…" Mephiles said then lent a little closer, whispering " shall I just take you now?"

Shadow gave him a sinister smirk then flipped them over, sitting on Mephiles' waistline, grinding slightly.

"Now who ever decided that it would be you to take me from behind humm?" Shadow asked in a sickenly sweet tone yet his darkened smirk remained.

Mephiles seemed to be taken aback a little by Shadow's behaviour but quickly composed himself. Shadow's darker side is more dark then Mephiles first though, and he was loving it even more so now.

"Well my pet…" Mephiles re-swapped their positions then continued, "I did."

He smashed his lips onto Shadow who gladly excepted and deepened. Shadow slowly gave into Mephiles' wishes and moved submissively into position. Mephiles noticed and grinned triumphantly then started to get down to business…

"Hi every…" Joey started to greet those in Shadow's room but a vision took hold.

It was the same as the one he had when he first got here but the only difference was that now it was certain and happening right at this very moment. Joey shook his head and looked at the group in front of him

"Its too late the bondage process has begun, when Shadow awakes he wont be the Shadow we all know but it will be the Shadow he has thought his whole life to keep under control. Not only that but he will be in Mephiles complete control in mind, body and soul." Joey explained worryingly.

"What bondage process what are you talking about Shadow is here with…its happening inside of his unconscious isn't it…" Sonic asked confused like then concluded in a deadpan way, receiving a nod from Joey.

"May I ask what is involved in the process you spoke of?" Max asked in a serious tone then added "and is there a way to stop it from being completed?"

"Well…it involves bringing Shadow's darker side out and erm well sort of…" Joey started to say uncomfortably then paused looking away from all eyes.

"Well what, what is it." Sonic desperately asked wanting to know so bad.

"Sex alright it involves a lot of blood and sex, there I said it" Joey embarrassingly shouted out, still avoiding eye contact with the group he then softly added, "the strongest bond anyone can make is an intense intermit moment shared with another."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa are you actually stating that right at this very moment, Shadow, my boyfriend, my lover, not that demons but mine, is being screwed by a demon bent on having Shadow as his what, pet to command whenever he sees fit. Then when he's bored or had his fun with Shadow, he's going to break this so called sex bondage by killing Shadow, like the guy in that article." Sonic said almost unconvincingly announced, emphasising on the 'my' and 'mine' a little.

Well he was more like in denial right now and who could blame him really.

"I'm afraid so." Joey said sadly, looking down to the ground.

…Mephiles was lining himself up with Shadow's entrance, getting ready to thrust deep inside of him for the first time. Shadow wanting nothing more right now then to feel his demon inside of him. He gave Mephiles a look of impatience, which made Mephiles decide to take his sweet ass time in fulfilling his pets wishes…

"How can we interrupt this? Is there a way to?" Collin asked his cousin seriously.

"Its half complete, I can try to block the demon from being transmitted into Shadow's mind but I don't know if it will work." Joey announced the added "ok, mind out of the way please and just remember, Shadow might not be himself alright."

Joey sat on the bed beside Shadow after Emily had moved, putting his hands onto Shadow's temples then closed his eyes. Clearing his mind he tapped into Shadow's. Everyone waited with deep anticipation, hoping it wasn't too late.

Mephiles was literally about to push himself forward inside of Shadow when he suddenly froze, unable to move a single muscle. Shadow looked at him with a disappointed yet confused stare. Their eyes locked one last time then all of a sudden Mephiles disappeared with a frustrated growl through clenched teeth. Shadow sat up in slight anger, growling at whatever it was that made Mephiles vanish. Shadow stood up, looked around and realised his surroundings were slowly vanishing too, he was waking up. With a dark grin, showing his sharp, long fangs he whispered, "Perfect."
