Epilogue.

Seventeen years later...

"Trevor! Hurry up!" I called up the stairs. "You're going to be late!"

"I'm coming mom!" Trevor yelled from his room.

I rolled my eyes and walked into the living room. Psyduck was sleeping on the couch with Keith sitting next to him, looking excited as ever.

"Geez, I think I'm more excited than Trev! Is he coming or what?"

"So he says," I was about to scream for him again when Trevor jumped down the stairs.

"I'm ready!" He said holding a large bag. He was dressed in the same school outfit I had to wear almost twenty years ago. I walked over to him and kissed him on the cheek. "Mom!" he protested. Of course, he was fifteen now, so why would he want me to kiss him?

"Keep it up and I'll do it in front of the school. I might even work up some tears." I teased. Trevor stayed quiet.

"Come on! Let's go!" Keith said practically dragging us out the door. We lived in Chicole Village now. We were still working as rangers, but something else seemed to occupy most of our time.

"Are you two staying for my test?" Trevor asked as we walked down Chicole Path.

"Of course, honey," I assured him.

"But I'm afraid we can't take you back if you fail. Sorry, son, family rules," Keith teased him.

"Dad! Are you serious? Stop it!" Trevor was nervous. He had been asking me for pointers for the past month. He was very confident, just like his father.

"You'll do fine. Both of us passed perfectly, and you were raised to be a ranger." I said putting my hand on his shoulder. We walked into Veintown. "Hopefully you'll get stationed here. So you can come visit us."

I looked over to my son. He looked like a perfect combination of Keith and I. Spikey, red hair and auburn eyes. Now that he was in the dorky ranger school uniform, he really reminded me of the two of us.

Trevor and Keith talked about the value of studying while we walked through the school road. It brought back so many memories to walk down this road...

"Mom! There's the gate!" Trevor said as he ran up to it. He and Keith pulled it open and walked inside. I had to run to keep up with them. Trevor seemed to know where he was going, he ran right to the little shed where they give out the tests.

I loved seeing him hold the styler. For his whole life he only practiced with sticks. then the Pikachu came out.

"Capture the Pikachu!"

Trevor only had it in two loops. I was so happy! My son was a natural ranger!

"Congrats, dude! You made it into the school! Go right inside and to the room on the left."

Keith and I looked at each other. That was our old classroom. Of course, Ms. April had retired. But the school would never change.

We walked with Trevor up to the school. This time, he gave me a giant hug and a kiss on the cheek. Then he gave his father the same hug, minus the kiss.

"Bye Trev. Knock 'em dead!" Keith said.

"Good Bye Trevor, I love you. Good luck!"

"Bye Mom, bye dad!" He disappeared behind the giant doors.

I looked over to Keith. "Well, now what?"

"Let's take a little walk before going back home..." He said turnng on his heel and heading for a familiar spot.

We walked down the flight of stairs and into a grassy area. The Pledge Stone was still standing. We looked at it together.

"I guess everything they say about this stone was true. Everything that you promise here happens." Keith said.

"Yeah, I'm so happy that it works..." I looked over to Keith. He took my hand gently.

He was my partner, my team mate, my husband, and most importantly, my best friend.

The End.
