AUSTIN'S POV:
It had taken all weekend but we ended up finishing the song and quit proud of it. The past year had been a crazy ride but we made it through, somehow. I smile to myself as we walk hand in hand onto the school grounds.
I smile as I look at her. She still looked as beautiful as when I first saw her as such. On that one night in my cabin.
I remember writing that song. I wrote it wanting the relationship it described. Someone who would always be there for you..someone who always had you're back..

I stare dreamily into her eyes as I strum the last note. Her voice was amazing. I never knew she had that in her.
"did you write that" she asks me. I snap out of my trance.
"uh.. yah" I say a bit shyly. "was it good?"
She nods, smiling at me. I can't help but smile back at her.
"thanks..uh..you sing really good" I say feeling my cheeks heat up a bit. What is wrong with me!
"thanks" she says.
I smile to myself. That was the night. The turning point in our relationship. I lean over and kiss the slide of her head.
"never leave me" I mumble into her hair. She smiles at me sweetly.
"never" she says. I smile and kiss her again.
ALLY'S POV:
I still remembered one of our first encounters at camp. I was only mildly annoyed of course. I laugh to myself.
"just keep going straight" Austin says only half interested in the activity. I can hear his feet shuffling across the dirt. I've been going straight for a while now and I'm not gonna lie I'm starting to worry a bit.
"Austin are you leading me off the trail and into the lake or something" I ask.
"no I'm not leading you into the lake" he says defensively with a slight chuckle. "come on ally don't you trust me?"
"um no not really" I say.
"well that's honest" I hear him say under his breath. "ok just keep going strait…oh wait watch out for the-" he starts but I am already tripping. To my surprise he catches me mid fall.
"tree root" he finishes chuckling a bit. I feel his hands gripping my arms tightly. I take the blindfold off and my eyes are met with his hazel ones. He smiles and laughs still holding onto me. I smile back at him.
I smile to myself again. That was an..interesting day. But I'm sure glad it happened. I smile up at Austin.
AUSTIN'S POV:
I let go of her hand as we walk into the music room.
"Alright everyone settle down take a seat" our teacher says as the last few students take their seats.
"today your semester projects are due which was to collaborate with your partner in writing a piece of music. You will be performing them in front of the class today. First up are David and Martha."
I exhale, sitting back in my seat to review my part.
I turn around slightly and see Ally smiling at me. I smile back as I listen to the nice sound of the piano in the background.
I was proud of our song. Especially since I wrote it with a hangover. Well Ally wrote it too I guess…
"Alright thank you" Ms. Polly says clapping for the pair that had just performed. She had really mellowed out over the year.
"next up are Austin and Ally" she says. I give Ally the look of 'you ready for this'. She smiles at me and nods her head as we make our way to the front of the class.
I nod at Ms. Polly to start our track. My leg starts to beat with the music as it plays. I smile at Ally and she starts to sing.

As I look at her singing I remember the last day of camp. When we sang you can come to me. I smile remembering how we sang it to each other. Just like this.

I smile at her as we sing the last note. She looks at me and I engulf her in my arms. As we hug I find myself looking at Cassidy out of the corner of my eye.
CASSIDY'S POV:
He smiles a little, looking at me out of the corner of his eye. I smile at him smirking slightly to myself. I can't give up just yet.
