Chapter 21

The group of shamans in the forest gasped as they saw a beam of light shoot up into the air by the Great Spirit. "What on earth is that" Anna exclaimed shocked. "I don't believe it, the Hoshii gate is being opened" a Mondrian member gasped.

"Quickly you must hurry" another member said before turning to Zero. "What now Zero?" Zero looked at the large gate that was appearing next to the Great Spirit. "Continue to evacuate the shamans, I'm going to help stop Zelman once and for all". The Mondrian member nodded as Zero disappeared in a flash of white light.

Ren peeked out from the tree he was hiding behind. He had heard everything. He quickly found the others and explained what he had heard. "Do you think Yoh is in danger?" Manta asked. "I don't know but it is likely seeming as he has been in the middle of this mess since the beginning. I don't know about you guys but I'm going to help" Ren replied. "So am I" Horohoro agreed. "Same" Faust said. "I wish to help protect Master Yoh" Ryo stated. "I shall help" Chocolove added.

"But do we even know where Yoh is, he might not be with the others by the Great Spirit" Faust reasoned. "He is so please follow me I know a short cut" a voice called out making the group turn towards the source. "Amidamaru" Manta exclaimed.

Amidamaru gestured for the shamans to follow him before he floated off. "Manta stay here with the other shamans" Ren commanded. "Ok" Manta replied before he ran off to join Anna and the other shamans. The five shamans started to walk off after Amidamaru before another voice called out after them.

"We're coming too".

The five of them turned around to see all of Hao's followers standing a few metres away from them. "Why do you want to help?" Ren snapped rudely. "Because Master Hao and Yoh are in danger" Kanna replied. "Since when did Hao ever care about Yoh" Ren asked doubtfully. "He has cared for a while now let's stop wasting time and hurry". "Fine" Ren grumbled. After that everyone turned and ran after Amidamaru.

"So you managed to get the boy, looks like I will have to kill him myself". Hao gasped and clutched Yoh tighter to his chest. "Over my dead body" he snarled back. Zelman smirked. "That can be arranged". Zelman smiled sadistically as he pulled out a long black sword and swung it.

Hao picked Yoh up bridal style before jumping back to avoid the swing. Zelman ran forwards and swung again. Hao barely dodged and was cut on the cheek. This continued for a few minutes before Zelman disappeared, reappearing behind Hao and blasting him with some of his dark magic.

Hao was sent flying through two pillars which collapsed on top of him. Yoh landed on the ground, face up near the top of the stairs. Hao winced in pain as he pulled himself from beneath the rubble. He pushed his hair out of his eyes before looking up and gasping.

Zelman was stood above Yoh with his sword raised preparing to strike. "Goodbye little Key" he smirked before he swung down the sword. "Noooo" Hao roared as he launched himself at Zelman sending them rolling down the stairs.

Once they reached the bottom Zelman pushed Hao off him and started to climb the stairs again. Hao teleported in front of him with a flash of fire and pointed his Spirit of Fire sword at Zelman. "You are staying right here" He snarled before charging. Hao and Zelman clashed swords as they continued their fierce battle.

A few feet away Yuki and Elizabeth were locked in battle along with Gaston, Kanji and Sakura. Kanji threw a tag at Gaston which exploded in his face making him stumble back. Gaston growled and swung his energy staff at Kanji hitting him in the chest sending him flying backwards. "Kanji" Sakura yelled as she ran to his side and put her hands on his chest. A green light appeared around her hands as she started to heal him.

Gaston used his chance to turn and bolt up the stairs past Hao and Zelman. "No" Hao yelled as he shoved Zelman out of the way and ran after him. Once they reached the top though Gaston tried to stab his staff through Yoh's chest but was blocked by Hao's sword. Hao kicked Gaston in the stomach sending him flying.

Zelman appeared and smirked. "Gaston you know what to do" he called out to his follower who was getting to his feet. "Yes master" he replied before running at Yoh again. Hao tried to block but was forced away by Zelman who started to fight him. "Your battle is with me Hao" Zelman chuckled as he repeatedly swung his sword at the #!*% off shaman.

"Get away from him" Hao yelled as he saw Gaston through Yoh over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. Gaston smirked before he ran off back down the stairs. Hao tried to chase but was blocked by Zelman. "Get out of my way" Hao said I a low, dangerous, angry voice. The ground by his feet started to crack and fire emerged from the cracks and started dancing around Hao. Zelman only smirked. "Now this is going to be a good fight" he said before the two of them charged at each other.

"Kanji are you ok, he hit you pretty hard with that staff" Sakura fussed as she helped Kanji back to his feet. "I'm fine now we need to find Gaston" Kanji replied.

The two of them whirled around as they saw Gaston rush past them with Yoh slung over his shoulder. "There he is" Sakura shouted as she ran after him. "He has Yoh" Kanji stated as he also ran after Gaston. Yuki tried to follow but was stopped by Elizabeth. "Now where do you think you're going? Don't you know it's rude to leave in the middle of a fight"?

Yuki narrowed her eyes at Elizabeth before she rushed forwards and blocked Elizabeth's sword before kicking her in the chest, pushing her back a few feet. "You want a fight, you got one" Yuki yelled annoyed. Elizabeth smirked as she raised her sword and pointed it at the girl in front of her. "I'm going to enjoy killing you just like I killed your father Yuki Hash".

Yoh: Eek Plot twist

Orange: ;P

Hao: I'm going to kill someone in a minute

Yoh: Hao calm down

Hao: No, they're going to hurt you
