Insatiable Part 2:
Bex sat across from Stiles in a chair in Scott's house. Stiles had barely gotten any sleep and they were still waiting for news from the sheriff. They still needed to find Meredith and the fact that she was locked up in the closed unit for screaming and then went missing wasn't a coincidence. Bex was worried more about finding Lydia though. She knew that her friend was strong and that she could take care of herself, but the nogitsune was dangerous. They knew that for sure and it was nerve wracking that he wanted the one person who knew when someone was going to die.
The werewolf glanced over at Stiles. She missed him, but she still felt like something was off. He was looking paler, thinner. Even now, he was having a hard time sleeping. Bex saw him struggling to sleep when he suddenly jumped up, freaking out as he staggered to his feet. She got to her feet and caught him. "Hey, hey! Calm down, Stiles. You're okay. You're here. You're safe." Stiles finally looked at her. He grabbed her hands and stood up. She felt herself shiver as she felt how cold he was.
"W-what happened? How long was I out?" He questioned worried as he looked around.
"It was just a few hours. You needed the sleep, Stiles. You should sit down." Bex assured him.
Stiles hesitated. "Where's my dad?"
"He's still at Eichen House. He's got everyone looking for Meredith since she took off. Don't worry. He's safe. Scott and I promised to look after you."
Stiles hand shook as she gently made him sit down. "What about the…"
"The others are all out looking for Lydia too. Allison and Isaac are searching for her car and the twins are trying to catch her scent and see if they can follow her from there. Don't worry. They're going to call if they find anything." Bex sat besides him.
"Thank you." He said honestly. "I'm sorry. It's just starting to feel like we're waiting for a ransom call." He looked around and grabbed his jacket. He stood up to put it over his shoulders.
'Stiles, you okay?"
"Yeah, I don't know why, but I just can't seem to get warm."
Bex grabbed his hand again, but she felt something else when she touched him. You're in pain. Scott!" Bex called for him worried as she helped Stiles sit down. Scott hurried into the room. "Scott, I felt like this pain go through me from him and he's freezing cold."
"Where are you feeling the pain from?" Scott asked as he sat Stiles down and they both sat on either side of him. "Dude, you are freezing."
'Sort of everywhere. It's just like this dull ache."
Bex and Scott both exchanged a worried look. Neither of them could ignore what was right in front of their eyes. Stiles just took Bex's hand, rubbing it between his own. "It's not just a dull ache, is it?" Bex asked Stiles. He looked up at her. He could see the fear in her eyes and he didn't want her to worry any more about him. He didn't say anything but was saved by the vibrating of Scott's phone, which he hurried to pick up.
Scott answered the phone and left them to talk as he answered it. "Stiles, I know its hurting a lot more than you're letting on. What can I do?"
Stiles smiled weakly. "You can't do anything. I don't want you to worry. I want us to find Lydia, first and foremost. Let's get our friend back." Bex hesitated before nodding in agreement as Scott hurried back over to get his friends.
"It's Kira. She found Meredith. She's actually at the school. She was with Coach. We need to go and get her, now." Bex and Stiles both hurried to follow Scott out to the jeep. If the deputies weren't all out searching for Meredith, than Bex was pretty sure that they would've pulled them over at the speed that Stiles was going at the moment, but they got there faster than normal and Scott and Stiles jumped out just as Bex' phone rang.
She looked at it and saw that it was Raina. Stiles looked up at her. "Um, just go on without me. I'll keep the car running." Stiles hesitated before going into the school with Scott as she answered the phone call.
Bex answered the call. "What's wrong?"
"I wanted to make sure that you were safe. I'm with Derek Hale. He asked for some help." Raina asked as she glanced over at the werewolf next to her in the seat. He had his eyes peeled on the road as he hurried to find the twins. "The twins are in danger. Are you okay?"
Bex hesitated. "Yeah, we're fine. I'm with Scott and Stiles. We may have found a way to find Lydia. Put Derek on the phone."
"Where are you?" Derek asked into the phone as he made a sharp turn.
"The school. Stiles thinks there's a girl here who might be able to help us find Lydia. You're not taking Raina out to murder her or anything? You never ask for help." Bex reminded him as she looked out the window for her best friends.
Derek rolled his eyes. "Yeah, well, I need somebody who can help me get the twins. I think somebody's after them."
'The nogitsune?"
Derek hesitated. It didn't seem like something that a trickster would do. It was like someone was coming at the twins full force for revenge, not to trick them into anything. This was something else. "I'm not sure. Just be careful and stay with Scott and Stiles." Derek ordered her.
"Yeah, sure. You too." Bex added as he turned the phone back over to Raina. It was an awkward silence before she spoke. How do you tell your biological absent mom that you appreciate her being there for a member of your pack when you still aren't happy with her being there. "I have to go, but….thank you."
Raina hesitated. She needed to talk to her, but it wasn't exactly an ideal conversation for them to have over the phone, nor when Derek would be listening to everything that they were saying. "You're welcome, but Bex, we need to talk, soon. It's important."
Bex looked out the window and saw Stiles and Scott coming with Kira and, who she presumed to be, Meredith. "Y-yeah, later. I have to go." She hung up the phone as she opened up the door so that the others could get in. Scott piled in the back with Meredith as Bex slid over to the passenger seat. "Uh, is everything okay?"
"Yeah, awesome, except um Meredith is kind of wanted back at Eichen and Coach totally tazed the orderly that wanted her."
"So business as usual then." Bex looked over at him. There was a faint smile on Stiles' face as he hurried to get them back to the McCall house, but Isaac wasn't the only one occupying the kitchen as they came in through the back door.
Scott skidded to a halt as he saw his father in front of the fridge. Stiles, Bex, and Meredith. "What are you doing here?"
"I could ask you the same thing." The agent said looking over at the teenagers. Isaac sat there, innocently.
"Um, free period. We're going group study." Stiles made up an excuse.
The agent look unconvinced as he glanced over at Meredith. He had never seen her before. "Who's she?"
Stiles glanced over at her. "She's my girlfriend." He put an arm around his shoulder.
Bex shot him a dirty look as Meredith pulled away slightly. "You're not my type."
"Well, obviously we have a lot to talk about."
"They're having issues." Bex added, narrowing her eyes at Stiles. "Which means that we should figure that all out upstairs."
Meredith smiled over at Isaac. 'He's my type." Bex snorted as Isaac looked as shocked as the others as he looked over at his pack.
"Okay, Isaac. Let's go. I'll chaperone." Bex pulled him to his feet and out of the room, giving Scott a moment to talk to his dad alone, without any prying ears. Isaac walked ahead to Scott's room as Stiles and Bex trailed behind them. "Girlfriend? You couldn't have thought of anything else?"
"It was the first thing to come to mind. What? Are you jealous?" Stiles asked looking over at her.
Bex scoffed looking down. "I'm not jealous."
"I think you are."
"Well, you thought wrong." Bex walked in front of him into the room. Meredith sat down on the bed and Bex stood in front of her."Hey, Meredith. Stiles said that you might be able to help us? We're looking for our friend. Her name is...Lydia. Have you heard her or seen her around?"
Meredith looked confused for a moment. "Lydia? You mean the red haired girl?" She asked them.
Stiles and Isaac gathered around her. "Yes, yes! Good. Awesome. Progress. Now, all you have to do is tell us where she is."
Meredith nodded. "Okay….if she tells me."
Isaac looked at the girl. "If she tells you?" He asked. None of them fully understood how the whole banshee thing worked. Stiles was the one who knew most about it, but none of them were experts on the whole subject. "Can you ask her?"
Meredith smiled timidly. "I already did."
"Perfect, perfect. What did she say?" Stiles asked her eagerly.
"She said...she doesn't want to be found."
Stiles sighed tapping his fists together. "That's good too."
'Is there anything else that she might've said?" Bex asked her, encouragingly. "Anything that she might've mentioned."
"No," Meredith said shortly.
Bex sighed frustrated. Isaac motioned for them to talk in the bathroom while she sat there. "Do you have any ideas?" Bex asked him as she leaned against the sink/
"Maybe we can...I don't know. Just….threaten her into giving something away." Isaac suggested.
Both Stiles and Bex looked at him, incredulously. "Isaac, we're not going to torture her." Stiles said as though it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"I meant just...scare her." He clarified.
"We're not going to psychologically torture her either!"
"Fine." Isaac resigned.
"Just calm down. The last thing you want to do is terrify her, because I guarantee you she won't tell us shit. Trust me on that." Bex shot a look at Isaac. "Now, she hears things. Just like Lydia does, right? Does this mean that she is just like Lydia, a banshee? Stiles, you helped Lydia. I think you can get her to tell us something." Bex turned to Stiles. If anyone could do this, he could.
Stiles hesitated before nodding and going over to Meredith. Bex and Isaac followed him over and Stiles kneeled in front of the girl. "Okay, just try to focus on the sounds around you. On what you're hearing." Meredith nodded, determined. "Just focus on the silence.
"Listen to the silence." Isaac added.
"Focusing on the silence."
"Listening to the silence.."
Bex rolled her eyes as she listened to the two juvenile boys. "Okay, will you just let me handle this, Isaac? Please?" Stiles shot him a annoyed look. "I just...I have more experience with Banshees."
Isaac shrugged. "Yeah and mental patients."
"Both of you!" Bex snapped at both of them, shaking her head. "You're driving me crazy."
"Isn't anyone going to get that." Meredith said out of the blue. Bex and the boys looked up at her.
"Get what, Meredith?" Bex asked cautiously.
"The phone."
Stiles glanced over at her. "What phone?"
"The phone." Isaac tapped his arm. He hesitated before grabbing the cell phone in his pocket.
"Right, the phone. My phone? Yes." Stiles agreed as he put the cell phone to his ears. "Hello? Yes, she's right here, actually." Stiles pointed up at her, handing her the cell phone. "It's for you."
Meredith took the phone and put it to her ear. The three waited with baited breath until she handed it back to Stiles. "They say...coup de foudre."
"Coup de foudre." Stiles repeated curiously. "What is that? Spanish?"
"It's French." They all looked towards Scott who stood in the doorway. It was clear that he knew exactly where they could Lydia and the nogitsune. "We have to go, now."

Stiles, Isaac, Scott and Bex rode in a tense silence towards Oak Creek. There was so many things going on right now. Lydia was with the nogitsune, hopefully still alive. Scott just had an intense conversation with his dad. not to mention the fact that Stiles seemed to be looking worse and worse by the minute. Stiles seemed to notice the silence. "Are you guys okay?" He glanced over at Scott.
Scott hesitated. "Yeah, yeah, you don't have to worry about us."
Isaac, however, wasn't as subtle. "Alright, I'm going to say it. You look like you're dying." Isaac blurted out. Bex shot him an annoyed look. "You're pale, thin and you look like you're getting worse. And we're all sitting here thinking it. When we find the other you, is he going to look like he's getting better?"
"Not helping." Bex hissed at him.
"Someone had to say it." He defended himself.
"What happens if he's hurt?" Scott looked over at Stiles.
Stiles kept his eyes on the road. "You mean if he dies, do I die? I don't care. Just so long as no one else dies because of me."
Bex felt her throat tighten. "Don't say that."
"It's true. It's my fault. I remember everything I did, Bex. I remember hurting you, I remember pushing the sword into Scott. I remember twisting." Stiles felt sick knowing that he had hurt his best friends. He had no control over his body and he couldn't keep them safe then.
"It wasn't you." Scott argued.
"Yeah, but I remember it. You guys got to promise me. You can't let anyone else get hurt because of me." He asked them. Scott glanced back at Bex and Isaac before nodding in agreement with Stiles' request. They all knew that if they could save Stiles, they would. No matter what happened. They needed to try and save their best friend.
By the time they got to the big gates with the words 'Oak Creek' on top, Allison and Kira were getting out of their car. Bex, Stiles, Scott and Isaac got out of the car and walk towards the girls. There was a nervous tension in the air that none of them could deny. It was nerve wrecking to be there again, but they couldn't turn back now, not when Lydia was in danger this time. "We've done this before, guys." Scott turned to him friends. "A couple of weeks again we were standing around just like this and we saved Malia, remember?" They nodded, agreeing with him. "That was a total stranger. This is Lydia."
Allison looked over at Bex. They weren't as close to each other, but they both cared about Lydia. "We're here to save our best friend." Allison said.
"I came to save mine." Scott agreed with the girls.
Isaac shrugged. "I just didn't feel like doing any homework."
With Isaac's final statement, they all turned and walked into the gate. They weren't the only ones there. Dark had fallen, which meant that the Oni were now free to find the nogitsune, but they knew, they wouldn't think twice about hurting Lydia if it kill the dark kitsune. "We'll keep them busy. Go find, Lydia." Allison glanced at them. Scott hesitated before pulling Stiles and Bex towards the entrance of the building. They walked through the empty hallway and Scott slowed down as he listened to any sign of their friend.
"She's here. This way." Scott led Stiles and Bex through the corridor as they searched for Lydia.
Scott was right. He managed to lead them straight to where Lydia was. They saw a light in the room, blocked by the gate. Lydia hurried to the bars. "Lydia! Are you okay?" Bex asked her worried.
She looked more concerned about them. "No, no. no. why are you here?" She asked desperately as Scott pried open the door so that she could get out.
"Lydia, we're here for you." Stiles said confused.
"You weren't supposed to be here." Lydia explained. "Did you get my message?"
Bex looked confused. What message? Lydia was terrified as tears filled her eyes. "Lydia, what's happening?" Scott asked her.
"Who else is here? Who came with you? Who else is here?" She asked frantically looking between their faces.
"All of us." Bex said. "We all came to find you."
Lydia looked pale white, Something bad was going to happen. She knew that. "W-we have to get out there. Now. Hurry." They helped Lydia out as they hurried back down the hallway. Scott was the fastest and Stiles was fading fast.
"Bex. B-Bex, I can't." Stiles stopped, leaning against the wall. He was in pain. She felt the pain rush through her veins. It was a lot more than he told them. Bex stopped and caught him. He was shivering as they slowly lowered to the ground. He was freezing cold. He was practically ice. Bex rubbed his shoulders and Lydia stopped where she was and hurried over to her friends to help them as Scott ran to find his friends.
'What's going on?"
"I-I don't know. H-He's sick. He's getting worse." Bex teared up. Stiles couldn't keep conscious anymore.
"H-he can't stay here alone."
Bex heard the clanking of noises outside as they fought the Oni that had turned against them. Suddenly, everything just stopped. Bex froze as she looked over Lydia. She didn't move either. Bex heard the silence, but Lydia felt something worse. She felt the death that she feared would come. The death of her best friend. "Allison!" Lydia screamed out her friends name as she felt her death go through her, like a shock to her system. Bex didn't need to ask her what happened. They both knew. The banshee knew this was coming and she tried everything she could to prevent it, but nothing that their friends did could've stopped the from happening. Everything else didn't matter. They had lost one of their own friends. Allison….Allison Argent was dead. Their friend, part of their pack was dead. She was gone.
The two girls couldn't contain their tears for their fallen pack member. She was dead.
Allison Argent was gone.
