Chapter 21 - The Flame Lord's Fury
(Taro) Now we are in the 2nd part of the Flame Lord Mini Saga where we carry on from the end of the last episode with the defeat of Tyrannomon and the gaining of a weird looking gem.

The Digital World Western Continent Flame Lord Domain Elephantmon Territory
We pick up after the Alpha Tyrannomon was defeated and with Desmond holding onto the small red gem that was gained alongside the SD card for Tyrannomon... he wondered if he was gonna get some answers but with all the Digimon now back to their rookie forms as they gathered.
"All Tyrannomon put down, those that still stood ran away..."
"Natural reaction to having their leader defeated like that..."
"Hey Desmond what's with the small shiny red rock?"
"Don't know... but we may all need to make a move on."
"How come Deshmond?"
"If we stay in one spot then this Flame Lord will make us an easy target... and we don't know how loyal this town is."
"Not loyal considering they would do anything to appease the Flame Lord..."
"Exactly which is why Bearmon we need to know where this Flame Lord is residing so we can take him out along the way to the Frozen Ridge."
"Frozen Ridge? That's like across the Ocean Lord's Great Lake..."
"Ocean Lord? Seriously your going to tell me there's a Wind Lord and a Terra Lord next?!"
"How did you know..."
"Geez this place is predictable... hmmm alright I guess we need to find this Great Lake."
"It's about several days travel from here although the Flame Lord's Castle is like a few days from here..."
"Great! We can take care of two stones with one clear path, let's go everyone!"
Desmond and the group began to make their way although things would get a bit sinister from here on in.

MUCH LATER
"The Tyrannomon have been subdued?"
"Yes Flame Lord... the remnants of the Tyrannomon group have come back to us, Their Alpha as well as a good few of them were destroyed in the battle."
"Curses it seems this human is a lot stronger than I thought if he took down the Tyrannomon horde like that... I might need to step up my plans a bit."
"What are you considering my lord?"
"I am thinking it's time I unleashed my greatest warrior...?"
"The DarkTyrannomon?! Sire he's not fully complete yet..."
"I KNOW THAT FOOL! But he's going to find my fortress at some point and there will be no one left to defend it so I may have no choice but to bring the DarkTyrannomon forth... get him ready as soon as you can!"
"But my lord...!"
"DON'T IGNORE MY ORDER AND DO WHAT YOU ARE TOLD?!"
SkullMeramon left the room in a huff before he went back to his chambers so that he can communicate with Elephantmon.
"What is it SkullMeramon?"
"My lord it seems that human has already made a headway into my domain, he has laid siege to my Tyrannomon horde and took down Flarerizamon..."
"That is bad... so why have you called me?"
"Lord Elephantmon I may need to borrow a couple of your special Armored Creatures..."
"I'll consider your request SkullMeramon, give me a couple of days... in the meanwhile you must use any resource of power to slow down that Digidestined am I clear?"
"Yes my lord!"
"Good luck then."
Elephantmon disappeared just as SkullMeramon took the time to ponder and reflect on his failures so far which as he didn't know began to make him glow in a grey whitish aura that increased the temperature of the surroundings if not that the fact that most of the room was starting to simmer and slightly smoke before a knock on the door stopped said aura from igniting the room.
"WHO IS IT?!"
"It's me my lord... the DarkTyrannomon programme is complete and 100% operational."
"IT'S ABOUT TIME, UNDERLING... WHERE IS THE DARKTYRANNOMON NOW?!"
"He's in the arena going through final testing before we can deploy him fully."
"THAT'S GOOD... I'LL BE THERE IN FIFTEEN MINUTES?!"
"Of course my lord..."
The underling Digimon walked off just as SkullMeramon looked around and saw the slight damage to his room.
"One of these days... One of these days.
Thus SkullMeramon got up and made some last minute preperations including a small tidy up.

A few days after the incident with the Tyrannomon, Desmond and the group was now on it's way further into the Flame Lord's domain although they had no idea where they were going yet despite sticking to a direction which they weren't sure of going.
"You sure we are heading in the right direction Deshmond?"
"Yes Veemon for the third time I've said it now... jeez it's like you have no confidence in my direction skills."
"Then why did we past that log for the third time now..."
"Wait really..."
Desmond then took a look at the log that he saw earlier on and realised that he and the others were lost.
"Well that's an unfortuate circumstance we got ourselves into... and here I thought it would be a simple and smooth journey to the Great Lake apparently it doesn't seem to be the case though we may need to take a break and see where we are."
"Sure I can do with a rest... since you got us lost and all."
"Shush Veemon..."
"But..."
"Shush."
Desmond gave the blue digimon a look that signalled that he was not going to argue before he set himself down on the floor before Veemon headed off to talk to the other Rookie Digimon. Just as Desmond got out the SD Card Pouch and counted the amount of Digimon that were allies... he counted 16 Champion level Digimon mostly consisting of Vaccines and Data types but with Woodmon being the rare exception on this list.
'It seems I'm building up a collection of Champions here but the worry on my mind is what if we begin to take on countless Ultimates in the future, these guys would all be not only useless but also suspectible to become problems on their own.'
He was thinking about how to use them in future occasions is usually a good idea in a strategy but not only a few minutes he felt a few rumblings on the ground and that shook him out of his thoughts.
"The heck is that rumbling?"
"DESMOND WE HAVE A PROBLEM!"
Desmond got up as soon as he heard the rumblings getting louder just as soon as he got back with the others, he finally saw what was causing the shakes in the ground.
'WHOA THERE!'
He thought as he stared at what was literally a gigantic version of Tyrannomon but it was more black skinned and heavily muscular with a menacing look in it's eyes, also his tail looked like it was stitched back on and then ends of his claws are tipped with metal that looks sharpened... also brown leather wraps on it's hands.
"Where the heck did he come from... and why is it suddenly getting warm around here?"
"That would be me human!"
Descending from the giant black Tyrannomon was a humanoid figure with spiky blue hair with a metallic face that had small red eyes that were glowing whilst wearing a large white robe that meant to look like formal wear but it would be ok if it wasn't for the fact that said robe was on fire and it wasn't affecting him... Bearmon had a fearful look in it's eyes.
"Desmond is that..."
"It's the Flame Lord!"
"Yes no need to say my name like that... I am in fact the Flame Lord, master of this region and you have marched into my territory without even realising it."
"Should of realised that plan wouldn't of had it's consequences Deshmond..."
"Yeah I should of listened to you back there Veemon... what do you want um...?"
"I'm SkullMeramon human... the Flame Lord!"
Desmond quickly got out the digivice and took a scan of the large black dinosaur which then turned up as a result on the screen quickly.
'DarkTyrannomon... Virus Attribute, Dinosaur type... Champion Level seems easy enough, attacks are Iron Tail and Fire Blast... strange that seems to be Pokemon moves, oh well.'
He concluded as the digivice closed up but not before he noticed SkullMeramon's gaze into his being... did he feel very warm as in a sauna kind of way.
"That device of yours... so that's how you know how we work... interesting it'll be a great trophy to hang up upon my wall of conquests just as soon as I put your corpse on it!"
'JESUS!'
He realised just as the rookies quickly went in front of him in a defensive position.
"We ain't afraid of some overdressed matchstick!"
"Speak for yourself..."
"Come on Bearmon, once you are chosen to protect Deshmond then we can overcome any problem together!"
Desmond nodded as he finally decided to see what SkullMeramon was all about so he took out the Digivice and then proceeded to scan him, just as the flame man was smirking a grin and folded his arms.
'Alrighty then SkullMeramon let's see... Ah here we go! Data Attributed, Flame Type of the Ultimate Level... wait he's Ultimate?! Oh dear no wonder he feels powerful... attacks are Flame Chain and Metal Fireball.'
"Flame Chain?"
"Yes human... you think this robe is just for show? You thought WRONG!"
Suddenly the robe ignited and then flew off revealing a very toned body with flame tagged black pants, two tight leather belts and metallic flame skull boots but then the white flame ignited on it's body before revealing the chains that were in a cross shape on it's torso, a large bundle on its right arm and then holding a large straight of said chain on its left arm.
"I'll let you guys warm up on DarkTyrannomon here... I need to limber up before we spar."
"The utter nerve...!"
"Calm down Candlemon, we need to focus on big, tall and blackly gruesome over there!"
DarkTyrannomon stomped it's way over to the group and roared loudly it's intention.
"Alright guys time to show this Flame Lord just how we do business!"
Desmond flashed the Digivice high into the air and the glowing light began to flash as all the rookies began to glow and change size.
"VEEMON..."
"HAWKMON..."
"ARMADILLOMON..."
"WORMMON..."
"ELECMON..."
"BEARMON..."
"CANDLEMON..."
"PENGUINMON..."
"PIDGEMON..."
"GOTSUMON..."
"LALAMON..."
"FLORAMON..."
"KOTEMON..."
"FALCOMON..."
"HYOKOMON..."
"OTAMAMON..."
"DIGIVOLVE TO!"
All at once they digivolved to their Champion forms of Veedramon, Aquilamon, Ankylomon, Stingmon, Leomon, Grizzlymon,
Meramon, Dolphmon, Aerodramon, Monochromon, Sunflomon, Kiwimon, Dinohyumon, Peckmon, Buraimon and Toadmon before they intercepted the large DarkTyrannomon just as SkullMeramon took notice of the Meramon.
"So he has a Meramon in his group... Interesting color me intrigued, alrighty DarkTyrannomon heed my word and give these fools a warm up for me!"
DarkTyrannomon made for a pace as he stomped his way over and then proceeded to begin to run but that was stopped when he met up with two prominant walls... one offensive and the other one defensive.
"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!"
"WE AIN'T LETTING YOU THROUGH!"
DarkTyrannomon responded with a loud snarl and pushed forward in an attempt to break through but resistance built up and said large dinosaur was pushed back before the struggle was broken up.
"TAIL HAMMER!"
"SLAMMING ATTACK!"
DarkTyrannomon was smacked at the side of the head by Ankylomon's Tail Hammer attack which staggered it for a brief second before getting smashed in the gut by Monochromon's charging horn but this was the chance needed as they only need a second to strike.
"ALRIGHT GUYS LET'S GO! BLAZING FLAME!"
"FIST OF THE BEAST KING!"
"LIZARD DANCE!"
"PUMMEL PECK!"
"DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME! VEE NOVA BLAST!"
Two fireballs of blue and red hit just as the lion shaped energy blast collided with the exploding kiwi bombs before several cuts appeared on the dinosaur's face but he shrugged off the pain and roared in defiance before it's mouth began to glow red.
"FIRE BLAST!"
Unleashing a torrent of flames from it's mouth which quickly bombarded the group that just attacked damaging Veedramon, Dinohyumon, Kiwimon, Leomon and annoying Meramon before he quickly focused his attention back onto Ankylomon and Monochromon.
"FIRE BLAST!"
Another Fire Blast came out but this time it emerged as a powerful sea of flames that engulfed the two creatures which caused more damage but this did not last long.
"PULSE BLAST!"
"BELLOW BELCH!"
The pulse attack combined with the belch attack which acted like a fast burst of air which disperse the flames making the other two ok and getting rid of all flames on the field.
"TIME FOR A FRESH ONSLAUGHT! SPIKING STRIKE!"
"REVERSE SWALLOW!"
"SUNSHINE BEAM!"
"MAUL ATTACK!"
The attacks mentioned did some damage to DarkTyrannomon's face as it was impaled, mauled, sliced and then hit directly by the beam of solar power but this seemed to enrage the creature especially it began to move around it's large tail into attacking position.
"IRON TAIL!"
Swinging round in a circular motion unleashed the strong steel tinted tail which smacked against the physical attackers with a resounding loud thud and crash as they fell back... but this made him vulnerable from one position,
the air.
"RAIN OF WINDS!"
"BLAST RINGS!"
Bombared by the Rain of Winds and then blasted in the face by Blast Rings caused the giant creature to move back a few feet whilst SkullMeramon was suddenly getting bored of the exchange.
"ENOUGH OF THIS! DARKTYRANNOMON TIME TO UNLEASH THE GIFT OF THE FIRE LORD!"
"Gift of the Fire Lord?"
"DESMOND LOOK!"
DarkTyrannomon began to snarl as his aura began to spike changing the air with a tint of red as the temperature began to go up before said aura began to darken.
"DARKFIRE BLAST!"
The attack spewed out a sphere of dark red and orange flame emerging towards the group in fast succession.
"MOVE!"
Everyone proceeded to get out of the way of the attack which they barely did so and then the attack collided with a group of dead trees and exploded creating a mighty sound followed by an explosion.
"YOU IDIOT! YOU MISSED! TRY AGAIN!"
"NOT WHILE I HAVE A CHANCE TO SAY ANYTHING!"
Meramon suddenly charged forward suddenly glowing in the brightest red aura that Desmond had ever seen but also that aura also made the Digimedal of Fire suddenly glow as well... which meant one thing, a change in form.
"MERAMON MEDAL DIGIVOLVE TO... BLUEMERAMON!"
The flash of light went just as BlueMeramon stood tall in front of the enhanced DarkTyrannomon whom roared in response and triggered a change in Desmond.
"Alright let's go Ultimate!"
"Roger!"
"VEEDRAMON CRIMSON DIGIVOLVE TO... AEROVEEDRAMON!"
"AQUILAMON CRIMSON DIGIVOLVE TO... GRANAQUILAMON!"
"STINGMON CRIMSON DIGIVOLVE TO... DINOBEEMON!"
"AERODRAMON MEDAL DIGIVOLVE TO... SKYDRAMON!"
SkullMeramon observed the new digivolutions and grinned to himself.
'At long last I am finally gonna get myself a proper warmup!'
