Hey guys I'm back to answering reviews, anywayz here we goooooooooooooooooooo! (Wa-Waluigi!)
I find it really hard to pay attention in French but when the bell goes I rush out to put my bag in my locker so that I can eat lunch. It was a bit of a change because I was used to gourmet hotel food and now I am bad to sludge. I sit next to the guys and we just talk. I look up to see the popular table not far from us. Kim's on her phone and when we make eye contact she immediately looks down and avoids my gaze. Did I do something wrong or….?
Well whatever I have Chemistry with her next so it's fine.
*Chemistry*
I grab my seat next to Kim who is concentrating on her phone. I say, "Hey."
She replies not looking up from her phone, "Hi."
"Did I do something or…." I say feeling extremely awkward.
She slightly shakes her head and continues to use her phone.
"What's wrong?" I ask leaning over.
She locks her phone and says, "Nothing! I'm fine!"
I sit facing forward again surprised by her outburst. About an hour ago she was perfectly fine and friendly. We do an experiment together and this time she's much friendlier and apologizes, "Sorry Jack. There is just a lot of stuff on my mind right now."
"Don't worry about it." I smile. I wonder what could be bothering her now, Kim can seriously be misleading sometimes.
Chemistry went pretty well and after that I caught up with her.
I asked, "So Kim? Are you doing anything this weekend?"
Kim slowly said, "Like what day are you talking about?"
I was thinking maybe, "Saturday?"
Kim didn't say anything leaving us to stand there for quite a while. I began to feel really awkward as I put my hands in my pockets. She finally looked me in the eye saying, "Umm. I'm busy that day so….sorry I-I can't."
"Well what about Friday night or maybe like a Sunday brunch?" I offered hoping I didn't come off desperate.
"Yeah….that's also pretty bad timing."
"Oh ok then. Maybe next weekend or something you know." I scratch the back of my head awkwardly.
She says, "Soo cu-" But then stops and says, "I mean I'm super sorry but I-I…errrr…"
Suddenly Grace shouts, "Kim! Get over here now!"
Kim looks relieved and says, "Yeah. Bye!"
Wow rejected…
Well I guess she has stuff to do.
Are you kidding me right now? You are the stupidest person on the planet that I actually want to kill you!
I know I'm probably wrong but I don't want to be all nosey and ask her what's wrong or why and yadayadayada.
….
Fine conscience ignore me then.
*Saturday*
My phone rang as I ate my breakfast. I look at it and says Jerry.
I answer it and it comes out as, "Erho."
Jerry replies confused, "What?"
I swallow and say, "I mean hey"
"Oh yeah hey to you too."
There was a small silence.
"Err..Jer?"
"Yeah."
"Did you want to say something?"
"Nope." I hear him absentmindedly reply.
"So then why did you call me?"
"Oh yeah. We're going to the beach, you wanna come?"
"Be there in 15."
I hang up, put my dish in the sink and sprint upstairs before my mom asked me to wash the dishes (I do this like basically ALL the time)
I put on a shirt, shorts and Nike sneakers grab my skateboard and shout, "I'm at the beach!"
I roll down the street and past Kim's house. Her car isn't parked or maybe it's just in the garage.
I see Milton waiting for me and when he beckons me over.
"You just missed Eddie's fail at surfing."
Then out of nowhere Eddie shouts, "It was a practice!"
Milton shouts back, "Sure it was!"
We walk down and play volleyball in our trunks. Luckily the beach wasn't crowded and there was quite a lot of space.
The ball then lands into the water and we all eventually find ourselves splashing around in the water. I make my way to a ledge and cannonball in shouting, "Woooooooooh"
When I resurface I shook my head to get my hair out of my face and hear more splashes coming from the guys. We laugh hysterically but then I feel like someone's watching me. I look around and eventually make eye contact with a blonde. She quickly put down her rounded square sunglasses and lifted her magazine up.
She looked strangely familiar.
I don't realise who it is until I utter her name under my breath.
Kim?
Hehehe…..
Well, well, well. I wonder what happens next.
Now reviews oh god. Karma smacking me right in the face.
