1 Month Later

Penelope woke on the living room couch of the house Derek and she were now living in together. The sound of the door opening had jolted her awake and she curled into the couch as much as she could. Lately, she had taken to hiding from anyone who entered the house until she was sure it was Derek. She was scared of almost everyone.

"Baby Girl? Are you around in here?" he called. She heard him dropping his keys on the counter and setting his briefcase down on the table. "Baby? I'm home." She remained on the couch, her breath caught in her chest. Too scared to move, she clutched the afghan tightly around her. Even if she knew it was Derek, she was scared to death.

The light turned on and Derek stepped into the room and came into view. "Hi," she whispered.

His face immediately became concerned and he knelt before her. He moved some hair from her face and murmured, "Baby? It's okay, it's just me."

She gave him a soft smile. "I know," she whispered. Her hand emerged from under the afghan and she reached for his hand. "I'm glad you're home. I missed you." He had just returned from a case that the team had been away on for a week. "Clooney and I were lonely without you."

He took her hand; it was ice cold. His finger traced over the scarring where her hand had been stabbed through. He frowned slightly. "Baby, you're frozen!" he cried. "We need to warm you up."

"You can just hold me," she said. Sitting up, she opened the blanket so he could join her. He nodded and rose to sit next to her on the couch. Strong arms wrapped around her shivering frame and she snuggled into him. Closing her eyes, she snuggled into the crook of his arm. "You're so comfy." Her fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt. A smile covered her lips. "I love you, Handsome."

A kiss was planted on the top of her head. "I love you, too, Penelope," he said.

They sat on the couch for over an hour and just held each other. Penelope spoke up first. "Derek?"

"Yeah?" he asked.

"How was JJ when you last saw her?" It had been at least a week since she had seen her best girlfriend. "I miss her."

"She's doing okay, Baby," he said. "She's a trying to spend as much time with Henry as possible. The two of them are going on a trip for our week off."

There was a tone to his voice that made her pause. "What's that?" she asked with a giggle, still holding him tightly.

"What's what?"

Her laugh got louder. "That tone," she said. "You sound amused. Like there's something you're not telling me. And I would love to know why you're amused."

Sighing, he kissed the top of her head and said, "Well, since you asked so nicely...Miss JJ has a...significant other."

Penelope sat up and looked at him, her eyes suddenly bright and interested. "Oh? Who's the lucky fella? Oh, goodness! This means that she's starting to be happy again! Derek, this is wonderful! So...who is it?" Her voice had risen two octaves with excitement.

He stroked her cheek. "You're silly," he said with a crooked grin. "You really wanna know, don't you?" She nodded excitedly, a huge grin spreading across her face. "Alright, but you have to promise to keep it a secret from everyone...no blabbing with your motor mouth."

She ran two fingers across her lips and nodded. "My lips are sealed," she vowed. "No blabbing from the Garcia Queen!"

Smiling fondly at the fact that she was opening up and losing her grim tone, he nodded. "Well, the first thing you need to know, is that it's not a 'fella' who she found." Penelope's mouth formed a small "o" shape. He laughed at her. "Don't look so shocked. And do you want to take a wild stab at who it is?"

Biting her lip, Penelope began to think. Derek observed as she looked up at the ceiling and held her full bottom lip in her teeth. After a few minutes of being lost in thought, she glanced at him. Then her eyes went wide. "No!" She shook her head. "No way!"

"Yes way," he confirmed. "JJ is dating Olivia." He went on to explain the story of JJ and Olivia and how they had gotten together.

Penelope grinned. "She must be happy. I can't believe I didn't know they were together," she breathed. "And here I thought that Olivia was sleeping with you! God, I feel like a complete idiot for being so nasty to her. And you..." She touched his cheek. "I'm so sorry I thought you were sleeping with her. I feel like a complete bitch."

He kissed the side of her face. "There's nothing you need to be sorry for, sweetheart," he said. "I would have thought the same thing." She cocked an eyebrow and smirked in amusement. Rolling his eyes, he added, "You know what I mean. If it had been a guy, I would have thought the same thing."

Sliding her hands behind his neck, she began to trace random patterns on his skin. Heat filled her gaze and she slid onto his lap. Her arms wrapped around his shoulders and she kissed him deeply, filling the touching of their lips with as much desire as she could muster. This was helping her forget everything the Violator had done to her. Derek's passion and the warm, electric touch of his skin on her's shoved any other thoughts from her brain.

It left nothing but beautiful, loving feelings in its wake.

Her lips hungrily devoured her's and their tongues collided, their teeth scrapped together, and their fingers scorched the other's skin. "Do you have any idea how much I love you?" she murmured against his lips as his fingers sliding up beneath her sweater and making their way up to her breasts. His long fingers rubbed against her rock hard nipples and a hiss escaped her mouth.

"I think you're about to show me just how much you love me," he growled, his hands tangling in her golden locks. "Just like how I'm going to show you how much I love you."

Hugging him close, she placed a gentle kiss on his neck and murmured, "Make love to me."

"So we're here visiting a nice lady?" Henry asked, looking up at his mother as they strode towards Olivia's apartment building. "She's a superhero, just like you and Aunt Penelope and Uncle Spencer?"

JJ nodded, holding Henry's hand as they opened the door. "Yeah, Miss Olivia is a superhero, just like me and all your aunties and uncles," she explained, a smile covering her lips. She and Olivia had been seeing each other for a month now and JJ had decided she wanted her to meet Henry. Their month had been wonderful, despite the fact that JJ had to make the trip to New York each time they wanted to get together. Their first time making love had been so intense; JJ had no idea she could feel that way...ever.

And everything worked out because then Henry got to spend time with Hotch and Jack.

She pushed the buzzer button to Olivia's apartment and waited for the sound of her voice to come through. It was a little nerve-wracking, the idea that Olivia was about to meet her son for the first time. She'd told her about him already, but still, she didn't know how Olivia would feel about meeting him. All the times she mentioned it, she'd certainly seemed okay with it. In fact, she had seemed excited about the prospect.

JJ could only hope that remained the case.

"Hello?"

Immediately, JJ perked up and a smile spread across her face. With barely contained anticipation in her, she looked down at Henry's curious face and gave his hand a squeeze. Returning her gaze to the intercom, she said, "Hey Liv, it's me."

"Oh! I'm on my way down!"

In a matter of moments, Olivia appeared on the other side of the glass and opened the door for them to come in. A warm smile was on her face as well. She leaned forward to hug JJ and pecked her on the cheek momentarily. Both of them had decided they would keep the nature of their relationship of the down-low in front of Henry, so as not to confuse him.

Olivia turned her gaze to look at Henry and a compassionate smile rose up on her face. Kneeling down in front of him, she said, "Hi there. My name's Olivia. What's your name?"

Shyly, Henry murmured, "Henry. My name is Henry. Are you a friend of my momma's?"

She nodded. "I am," she said. "We're new friends. We met while we were doing a superhero mission." She paused a moment. "So, Henry, do you like tall buildings?"

Henry nodded vigorously. "I love really tall buildings!" he chirped. "Momma said that maybe, if you were okay with it, that we could go see the Empire State Building." He scrutinized her carefully. "Are you? Okay with it?"

Olivia smiled and looked up to meet JJ's eyes. She winked, and she returned her gaze to Henry. "I am absolutely okay with it. What do you say we put your stuff in my apartment, we grab some lunch, and then we go visit the Empire State Building?"

"That sounds fun!"

Rising to her feet, Olivia motioned for Henry and JJ to follow her to her apartment before the fun of the day could commence.

After Henry had gone to bed, JJ and Olivia were stretched out on the living room couch, the television playing in front of them. Neither of them were paying much attention. They were mostly alternating between talking and kissing. JJ touched Olivia's cheek and sighed. She leaned her shoulder back against her shoulder and said, "You're great with kids. Is that something that comes from working with the SVU?"

Olivia nodded. "It's part of my training," she said. "But Henry is different. He's not a victim. He's your son, the most important person in your life. So now, he's important to me. Not to say that the victims aren't important to me, but this, Henry and you are different. Elliot was at one point the only person I really trusted. Now, I feel like I can open up to more than just one person. It's...a strange feeling."

"But is it a good one?" JJ asked softly.

"JJ, it's the best feeling in the whole world," she answered, placing a kiss on the top of her head, keeping her arms around her tightly.
