Beautifull feelings:The barier is down!

-From the roofs of the Tokyo buildings people could see the smoke over some parts of the city, and in the last few days this scene was common. The blessed ones were attacking more often with more and more stronger chimera animals, but the mews and aliens managed to defeat them every time. Sometimes they would get out with one bruise or two, but there wasn't any real damage.

"Uh a whole month has passed since New Years, and we still have to fight these guys, I am getting really bored with these fights." Mint complained during the pause in the cafe.

"We all are, I just wish to know how to get rid of them so we can live normally." Ichigo said. "I don't know how to work anymore, my school work is multiplying and I don't have enough time to study."

"Um but it's good that we have help, so we win every time." Lettuce said.

"You always look on the bright side. So illogical." Pai said to her.

"I was thinking of something." Lettuce said. "Emerald once said that Lilly is the same as her, maybe they have a reason to fight too."

"Like what?" asked kisshu

"Maybe they want to create a perfect world for them, just like you used to. They want to find a world where they won't be freaks or unwanted." Said lettuce

"How can you always think about your enemies feelings? You should hate them." Said pai

"Pai-san… I-I can't hate anyone, and even if they do hate me, I'm not like that." Lettuce said

"Whatever." He said and left. Lettuce got a sad look on her face then and she hid her eyes.

"I don't get Pai, why is he so cold towards her." Ichigo asked Kisshu while he was helping her with cleaning dust from the high spots of the café. Then she gave him an evil glare. "And I don't get why you are such a pervert."

"Because your panties are adorable, white with smiling strawberry's on the back." said kisshu

"If you look under my skirt again I'll kill you." Ichigo exclaimed

"Then we will fall." He teased then she groaned to him. "About Pai he is cold because he is amused with her. Whenever he doesn't understand something he is angry, and she is Unexplained Phenomenon to him. I think he likes her, but he always analyzes his potential relationship, and that was the reason why he was with Samia so many years. But he likes her I know it."

"How?" ichigo asked

"He is my brother I know that look, he even smiled once when he was talking about her." Said kisshu

"You don't have problems with those things." She said giving him a smirk

"No I have you and nothing more is important to me." Ichigo smiled, she loved when he was talking about his feelings, he never said "I love you" but he did say some pretty nice words to her, and that was enough.

"Hey Kisshu I'm afraid that tomorrow we can't go on a date. I have to study math and I don't understand any of those things." Ichigo said

"I can help you with your studies, I'm good in math." Ichigo gave him a confused look. "What I told you I'm smart, gave me a chance." Kisshu said looking at her confidently

"Ok, after all you are the only one who offered me any help." Ichigo and Kisshu went home after work to practice math, but Lettuce stayed a little longer to clean up the tables.

"Are you ok?" Ryou asked.

"Shirogane-san? Ummm yea, I was just wondering is my personality really that weird." she asked

"Not weird, it's amazing, your soul is pure and nice, you don't hate anyone, that's real. And that is why people love you." He said

"But I have friends just because I'm a mew, only because you made this project, I even don't have a boyfriend." She said with a sigh

"Lettuce… You are a good girl and you will found someone, but you can't quit, people like you always get what they want when they don't expect it. And as I said this before, the Earth chose you to be a mew, that was the first part of the price of your good soul. I'm sure that you will have a much better life than all those people that make fun of you." He said smiling at her

"Thank you Shirogane –san, I really appreciate that." Lettuce said happily

"I'm glad now you can go you've cleaned up everything." He said

Lettuce was walking home, her head in the clouds. She was thinking about what Pai and Ryou said. She remembered all her schools and all her school "friends". When she was little she had some friends, they loved her because she was a shy, cute girl, but later in her junior high and senior high her friends became mean and rude towards her. They made her do all their homework and jobs,

She was lonely until she met Ichigo and the others. She also was the only girl who didn't have a boyfriend. There was one but he only pretended to be with her so they could all make her look stupid on one of those parties where she was invited.

She tried to calculate how many times she was humiliated by her classmates, and how many times the mews were the only ones who were there to make her feel better.

She touched her pendant that she got from Pai, she remembered how much the girls envy her on it. They even made a story that she bought it for herself from her misery, but that was the only time she actually didn't care about the rumors. She appreciated that little gift. He was kind that night, he even took her to her bed, that was sweet and a little embarrassing. Then a short flashback of his smile showed in her head and made her blush. How cute and warm a smile he had, she wanted to see it again, but she couldn't, she was not a girl that could interest a guy like him, after all his girlfriend was one of the hottest girls that she ever saw. She couldn't compare with Samia, she was not strong, not pretty nor fun.

"You are alone again." Lettuce heard Pai from the park, he was in his human form.

"Pai-san what are you doing here?" lettuce asked

"I'm collecting some samples for my research. Since the ground from our planet is similar to Earth's ground I want to see what kind of possibilities lay inside it." Pai said

"Oh I see. Do you need any help?" lettuce asked

"You could get dirty, I know that earthlings hate that." He said

"Maybe but I want to help out a friend." Said lettuce

A friend. Pai thought and smiled to her. "Ok then."

He smiled to me, it was only for second but he did." Lettuce helped Pai to take some samples from the ground, it was actually nice to be close to someone who will not make a fun of her. While she was helping, Pai couldn't resist but to look at her a few times. Her innocent smile and her red cheeks made his heart beat harder.

"We are done, thank you for your help." Said pai

"Wait Pai-san ummm. I-I wanted to thank you for the book you gave me. I read it so many times and it was amazing, it was one of the greatest gifts in my life." Lettuce said

"You're welcome." He said coldly looking away he couldn't face her, she was too kind and his heart suddenly started to beat harder. This feeing was pure torture to him, but he didn't want it to stop. Until they finished their work Pai had to control his feelings.

"I have to go now, my parents will get worried." Lettuce said

"Bye." He was watching her as she disappeared in the dark park of Tokyo. He could see her running outside of the park and he wanted to follow her. Last time he felt like that was when he was really young.

Kisshu and Hugame had just become a part of their family and Taruto was still unborn. There was an alien girl, she reminded Pai of Lettuce, same hair, same smile he was following her for days trying to tell her something, but whenever he got the chance he didn't know what to say. He remembered the day when he stopped being a child a day of tragedy, he was following her and then one earthquake made the ceiling fail, and then right in front of his eyes the girl whom he liked and a few more of his friends died. It was weird, things like that were always happening back then but that day was different. That was the day when he only began to think how to stop more of his beloved ones from dying. But his obsession made him blind until Lettuce made him see again. "that girl…"

"Is cute, attractive, wants to be your lover…" said Kisshu coyly

"Shut up Kisshu. Why are you here anyway? Shouldn't you be with mew Ichigo?" pai asked sighing

"Yeah I was helping her with studying but she is tired now and I let her sleep. And I wanted to check on my brothers and since Taruto told me that you are here, I came to see you. And by the look on your face looks like you will have some action."

"No I'm not doing anything irresponsible with that earthling girl." Said pai

"Man when was the last time you got a girl in your bed? Oh yeah a few months ago." Kisshu said

"Idiot." pai exclaimed

"Do something if you don't want to end up alone, lonely and old." Said kisshu

"I'm going back to the lab." Said pai

What an idiot. Kisshu thought amused.

Pai was analyzing his samples that he got from the park and from other places in Tokyo. He couldn't get Lettuce out of his mind. She was just so inhuman, her good heart and unspoiled nature were against all theories that he had about humans. Why she had to be so beautiful from inside and outside? He tried to think about other girls in his life but he couldn't. Lettuce was just too perfect for humans, he had never met anyone from his race that was as nice as her.

"Hey Pai need some help?" Taruto asked teleporting in lab.

"No I'm done." He said

"But your research is only halfway done." He said confused. Pai never left his work unfinished especially when research was his job.

"I don't feel very well tonight. I need to go get some sleep." Pai said

"Oh, OK." That's so not like Pai.

Pai was lying on the air he was trying to calm his mind. These last few months his mind was all over Lettuce but these days he couldn't stop thinking of her. He couldn't believe that he was taking Kisshu's advice on how to calm down. After all Kisshu was going through all this four years ago. Yeah four years almost had past already. How time flies, but it feels like yesterday was the first day when he heard her lovely voice begging him to stop fighting.

Slowly his mind began to realize that his emotions had taken over him and that he was having some certain feelings for Lettuce. He could try to fight it, but he knew that it was a fight that he lost long time ago. But no matter what he feels he just can't surrender to those feelings, after all she is human and he couldn't stay by her side forever. So the conclusion was that a relationship with Lettuce was impossible, he didn't have time to spend on dreaming about a perfect life with her, he had to get serious.

After many hours of thinking about Lettuce his mind couldn't take anymore and he fell asleep. But his race couldn't dream, they only have memories of their life and tonight he had all flashbacks about her. He saw her face, heard her voice, she was his dream and after all those dreams in the morning she was in his head.

"KISSHU!" Pai yelled.

"Huh what's wrong Pai?" Kisshu asked confused. "If there was something in the lab it was Taruto I came here a few seconds ago."

"Hey I didn't do anything!" Taruto said.

"No I have to talk with you and it's important so I'll ask you to take this serious." Pai said

"Oh ok then…" Kisshu exclaimed

"I'll just go away." Taruto teleported.

"So what's wrong?" Ksshu asked

"I have a problem, I couldn't sleep tonight and I can't focus on my work." Pai said

"Yeah I realized that something was wrong with you these days. Is it because of Lettuce?" he asked

Pai's eyes widened and he let go a sound of shock, but then he realized that Kisshu is an idiot but not stupid. "Maybe." He mumbled.

"Listen first you ask her out then you…" Kisshu started to explain

"Shut up! I need to get her out of my head! I don't believe in that magic love from witch elves came!" pai said angrily

"Then I can't help you. I tried to forget Ichigo but I guess that she is the one, the one I want to protect, the one who I want near to me forever. If you feel the same then you can return home be with Samia and let you both live in happiness and pain, cus you both will regret not being loved enough. I know you keep your feelings hidden, but you are not made of stone and your barrier is breaking down, it's only a matter of time when will it be gone for good. And then your worst time will come. Except if you don't try to tell her everything." Said kisshu

"So I have to end like you?"

"Yeah if you want, I had hell back then but now I live in heaven, you can do it too. Just let go of those numbers and do something stupid like when you saved her. Be stupid once more, and if I remember you were happy that one time, first time I saw you smiling truly after a long time. After her death…you know they really look alike. Maybe it was destiny, if you believe in Hugame's words." Said Kisshu

"Destiny, love, happiness, happily ever after, they are all fairytales, those things don't exist in real life Kisshu." Pai said

"You are right life is full of pain and suffering, but we had hell our entire life I think it's time to have some nice times. I told you, you can live like this forever or you can at least try to let that barrier down. Trust me it's more painful living like you do now." Kisshu pointed out.

Pai looked down he was realizing that Kisshu was right; there wasn't much of a choice. Maybe he can let his barrier down just for a little bit. "I don't know, there is too much risk in doing that."

"You are right, but trust me it will pay off."

In the café everything was normal except Ichigo. She was terribly tired. She was awake the whole night practicing math and now she messed up every second order. Ryou was yelling at her but she was so tired that she didn't hear him; she didn't even try to fight him.

"Oi do you understand what am I telling you?" ryou asked

"You said something Shirogane?" Ichigo said holding a tray with orders half asleep and made him fall.

"I told you ten times already go and take a rest in my room or else you will break every single plate that we own." He said

"Oh yea… you did… can you repeat it?"

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh." Ryou was holding himself trying not to kill her.

"Calm down Shirogane-san I'll take Ichigo-san upstairs to sleep." Lettuce said kindly.

"ok."

"Let's go Ichigo-san." Lettuce said

"Lettuce where are we going again?" ichigo asked

"To put you to sleep, you know studying is good but you overdo it and now you can't work." She helped Ichigo to go upstairs and put her on the bed. "Now rest for one hour, ok?"

"It's so soft nya…." Ichigo mumbled already asleep.

"I guess she was really tired." Lettuce said with a sweat drop smile. "Now let's go back to the work." When she came down she saw Pai and Kisshu looking for someone. "Pai-san, Kisshu-san."

"Oh hi, do you know where Ichigo is, I was trying to give her a little surprise." Kisshu said

'Well Ichigo-san was studying the whole night and she was too tired to work so Shirogane told me to put her to sleep in his bed." Lettuce said

"Oh man I told her to take a pause. Well then I'm going up to make her dreams perfect." Said kisshu

"Oh no you are not." Ryou stopped him. "You will do nothing to Ichigo in my bed."

"Huh what a nerd." Kisshu huffed

"Pai-san what are you doing here? Yesterday you said that you will do your research in your lab."

Pai made a light shock sound and blushed a little. "Well I need to do something, but I'm not sure about it."

"Well whatever it is don't worry I'm sure you will do it right." She gave him a cute smile.

"Um yeah." He said trying to be cold as always. "Well since my plan was ruined I'm going in the basement to do some more research on our enemy." He said

"Ok, I don't want to stand in your way, bye." Lettuce said

Pai was watching her waking away from him until Kisshu came up behind his back. "That was the worst awful flirting with a girl that I ever saw."

"Ki-Kisshu you idiot I wasn't flirting!" Pai yelled

"Yeah I saw it. You will need some private lessons." Kisshu said smirking

"Shut up." He said coldly and went to the basement.

Two hours later Ichigo was awake and she found some strength to work and with Kisshu right there to help her she was doing fine.

Only person missing was Pai, he was there in the dark basement doing some research on the enemy and their powers, but he couldn't get Lettuce out of his head. He was so confused with the situation, he wanted to talk with her but he didn't have the strength, he might be strong and cool, but when he needed to show his feelings he wasn't good in it. It's not like he was suffering or something he just didn't know what to say, he was always with girls that were practically throwing themselves in his arms, but Lettuce was different maybe that was the biggest reason of his sympathy towards her. He was all silent until Lettuce came to bring him something to drink.

"I'm sorry again I just thought if you are thirsty or hungry…" She looked at him but he was cold like always. "Well I guess I'll be going now."

"Wait. Why do you always bring me something?" he asked

"Well I wanted to be sure you are ok… I mean you are working so hard to help us you deserve some help. You know it's not crowded like before so if you want to come and join us, you deserve a break too."

"Ok I'll come, I just need to finish something." Pai was sitting in his chair a few more minutes researching enemy attacks and after some research he finally got up and went to the café. Up there only three tables were busy so the girls had a break. He saw them sitting on the table together with his brothers, they were looking at Lettuce's phone.

"I can't believe it Lettuce congratulations." Ichigo said.

"Something happened?" Pai asked.

"Nah she was asked to go on a date with some popular guy in her school, I think." Kisshu said bored. "To me all earth guys are weak."

"And are you going?" Pai asked. He was trying to hide his emotions right now but the question was already asked and it created a suspicion to the other girls.

"Well he was nice to me in the past and I don't want to break his heart. Maybe I can go out this time… but then…."

"He is cute and nice, go. It's not like you will get a chance like this again." Mint said.

"Yea but I'm not sure that I like him." Lettuce said

"Just do it!" Mint said.

"Ok…" she sounded a little unsure of herself

"That is stupid, going out with someone you don't like, you humans are so… I can't even describe, I'm returning to the lab, I'm not interested in these things." Pai said so cold that even his breath looked cold. In those words Lettuce found a bit of an insult.

"Pai-san…." Lettuce felt some guilt for some unfamiliar reason, she felt like it was her fault for Pai's anger.

"Who cares about him, so let's decide what you should wear for your date tonight." Mint said. "Since he is a popular and hot guy you should dress up in a hot skirt and hot shirt."

"I don't have things like that and I don't like them." Lettuce said blushing.

"Ok then I'll give you some of my stuff, but then you have to do my work tomorrow." Said mint

"Hey Mint we are doing this for Lettuce you don't ask for a favor." Ichigo argued

"No it's ok Ichigo-san I don't mind." Lettuce said

"Ok then its settled first we are going to my house to dress you up and put some make up on that face and after that my driver will take you to the date. When are you two supposed to see each other?" mint asked

"At 20:00 near my school." She said

"Ok than we don't have much time." Mint said

"But Mint-san I'm not sure if I should go." Lettuce said

"Don't worry he will like you." She said

"No, it's not that…." Lettuce shook her head

"You like someone else? Well if that is the case you should still go and make that guy jealous. Trust me it will work." Mint admonished

"I'm not sure…" Lettuce said looking down

"Don't be so weak! Now let's go to make you pretty." Mint said taking Lettuce's hand.

A Few hours later Lettuce was standing in front of her school's gates she was wearing a short denim skirt and red shirt with opened shoulders waiting for Tsubasa, a dream guy of every girl from her school.

He was good at sports and popular with the girls, but he was known to be a little rude. Lettuce was excited and scared at the same time. She was still feeling guilty for some reason. She never liked going on dates with guys that she didn't like very much, but Tsubasa asked her so nicely and he was nice towards her in the past two weeks, so she was ready to give him a chance.

But deep inside her mind Pai's face from today was haunting her. He looked cold but under that cold look she saw sadness and pain, she was wondering what the reason for that feeling was.

"Hey Lettuce-chan there you are." A tall guy with spiky brown hair and brown eyes said. "I'm sorry for being late, but I constantly had the feeling like someone was following me, I guess I'm getting paranoid."

"No problem I was early anyway." She said.

"So ready to go?" He asked and Lettuce nodded. He took her to the café and they were eating cake and having a nice time together not noticing the flying tall figure was following them everywhere.

Why am I acting so foolish? Look at me pathetic, I act like Kisshu, but I can't stop myself. Why do I have such a bad feeling about this guy? Pai was watching them from the sky not sure about his actions or this guy. He had a terrible feeling about him and he just couldn't do nothing, so he was following them until something happened.

"Wow this was such a nice night thank you." Lettuce bowed when he brought her near to his house.

"Thank you for being so beautifully dressed for me." He said

"Oh this. Well my friend gave me these I usually don't wear such things." Lettuce said meekly

"Sure you don't." He said with an evil voice. "Tell me then did you try to seduce me with it? You know I know girls like you . They pretend to be nice and innocent but when a guy like me asks them out they show their real nature." Lettuce was looking at him shocked, she was confused with his acting.

"Tsubasa-kun why are you acting like that?" Is he possessed by blessed? Then from nowhere Lettuce was splashed by dirty water.

"Say cheese!" A female voice and bright flash came from behind the house. It was one of Lettuce's classmates. 'You really fell for it, oh how you all sweet innocent girls can be so foolish. You are the third girl in a row to fall for our trap. Now these embracing pictures of you will be all over school."

"And the best part is your wet shirt revealed your bra, you are not so sweet now." Another girl said.

Lettuce was just standing there wet and humiliated, her eyes were full of tears. Why, why is this always happening to me? Why do they hate me?

"Yes c'mon and cry!" Tsubasa said squeezing her hand, he took her glasses and stepped on them then he pulled her toward himself and put one of his hands on her breasts. "Take another picture this will be the most popular shot ever."

"Sure." The other girl said

"Noooooooooooooooooooooo! No stop it, stop it please!" Lettuce screamed she was crying and trembling from fear. Things like this always happened in other schools but she could never imagine that the same thing would happen to her.

"She said stop." A tall figure with a cold voice spoke from the dark.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Pai and I'm her friend."

"Pai what a stupid name, did your parents hate you when they gave it to you? And if you want this bitch wait for your turn." Tsubasa mocked, but then Pai hit him with all his strength in the stomach setting Lettuce free.

"Don't ever insult me or my parents." He said coldly. "And definitely don't insult my friend." Then he turned towards the girls who were shaking from fear. "Give me that." He pointed to the camera.

"Here you are run guys!" A girl said and ran for her life together with Tsubasa and other girl.

Pai stepped toward Lettuce who was kneeling on the floor crying. She was hurt and humiliated. "Are you ok?" Pai asked her but there was no response. He took her broken glasses from the floor and put them in his pocket. Then he took her in his arms and teleported her to her room. "Here now you are home, you should change your clothes and…." His words were stopped by Lettuce who hugged him hard. She was holding his shirt and crying like a little child.

"I'm sorry…." She managed to say. Pai looked at her puzzled. "I'm sorry."

"You….It's not your fault." They stayed like that for some time until Lettuce managed to calm herself. She changed her wet clothes and returned to Pai who was waiting for her on her bed.

"Are you feeling better now?" he asked.

"Yes thank you Pai-san. I'm sorry for being a burden to you tonight." Lettuce said

"No you were not a burden don't worry about it." He said looking at her concerned

"Thank you once more, but now I have to think of how to explain to Mint-san about her clothes. I shouldn't wear them, I hope that she will understand. Pai-san how did you find me?" She asked suddenly.

"I was following you because I had a bad feeling, I'm sorry for not doing anything sooner." He said

"Pai-san? You saved me…"

"No I was… I was acting so childish today, sorry." He was keeping his cold voice and the cold look on his face but he wasn't sure that he would be able to do it any longer.

"I was so stupid, I knew that he was out of my league but I still went with him." Lettuce said

'"Don't cry about the past it's over. You just learned a lesson that can be useful." Pai said

"Thank you Pai-san. I know that you act cold but I understand what you're really trying to say." Pai blushed. "And you are right. Thanks for being here for me."

"By the way I think that he is the one out of your league. You are the most impressive human that I ever saw, so don't think about yourself like you're not worth anything. You are a great person." He said

'Thank you Pai-san." She blushed and looked him in the eyes.

Pai was staring at her ocean eyes for some time, he could see that her eyes were dancing it was obvious that she can't see his face clearly without her glasses. He came close to her face, so close that he could feel her breath on his lips. His heart was beating like crazy, he wanted to close the distance between them, but his mind wouldn't allow him.

Lettuce was confused with the situation, she could only see a blurred figure in front of her face, but on that figure she saw two sapphire blue eyes and she felt warm breath on her lips. Her cheeks went red and her eyes slowly closed.

Pai couldn't take this temptation anymore, he just moved forward and kissed her sweet lips. It was such an amazing feeling, he wanted more and more. He tasted a fruity taste and her smell. He never had a kiss like this, so full of passion and something new, maybe love? He didn't stop he just continued until he realized what he had done. He broke the kiss and stepped back. "I'm sorry, I don't know what happened."

"Pai-san…" Lettuce whispered with tears in her eyes. "Why are you apologizing? Am I that bad?"

"No, you are perfect, but I don't want to hurt you. I don't want to give you a hope and then just leave." He said.

Lettuce didn't say anything she couldn't she just put her hands on his neck and kissed him. He returned the kiss holding her hard. Then suddenly they found themselves lying on Lettuce's bed with Pai on top of her, kissing and liking her lips. He couldn't stop he was kissing her hungrily. He wanted her lips for so long but he couldn't have them and now when he finally got it he can't just let her go. Soon he began to kiss her cheeks and neck. His fangs were scratching her neck making her moan a few times.

"P-Pai-san… I'm sorry." She whispered so silently that he wasn't able to hear her even with his sense of hearing. They spent a lot of time in her room trying to catch up all those kisses that they never managed to share.
