"You really don't have to come with me."
"Oh yes I do."
"Ran, really-"
"You won't come back if I stay here." Ran cut Shinichi off, and the detective let out a sigh.
She was right, or course. Shinichi would stay the night at Kaito's house, and since it was a Friday, he would end up staying the entire weekend, and Ran would have to make up excuses again for him.
"Fine." Shinichi grumbled.
Ran smiled.
It was Valentine's Day, and Shinichi had decided to go visit his boyfriend at his school. He was planning on stopping at a café near to Kaito's school and picking up a hot chocolate for the magician.
It wasn't much, but Kaito had called, demanding something sweet. And since Shinichi really didn't want to get him too hyper, he decided on the sweet drink.
Ran was simply tagging along to make sure that he went home.
"203…203…20-oh, here it is." Shinichi slowly opened the class room door, and peeked his head in, only to have someone who's grip strongly represent a leech latch on to him 5 seconds later.
"Shin-chan!" Kaito grinned. "I didn't think you would come!"
"Yeah well it's Valentine's day, so…" Shinichi trailed off, a faint blush coating his cheeks. He then pried the magician off, and shoved the hot chocolate in his hands, his sapphire eyes trained on the ceiling. "Here"
Kaito's grin melted into a smile as he held the cup in his hands. It wasn't like Shinichi to do something this sweet. And when he did, well…
Kaito then leaned towards the detective and placed a small kiss on his lips, causing Shinichi's eyes to widen.
The magician pulled away before Shinichi could register what had happened, and Kaito smirked. "You do realize that I have to stay the entire weekend, right?"
The suggestive tone did not go unnoticed by Shinichi, and all the detective could do was nod dully.
