AN: I'm sorry this took sooooooo long! I've been dealing with a lot as far as school work and grades. Also, this isn't official, but I may stop working on Stuff Happens. I know a lot of you love it and I've made a lot of wonderful friends because of it but I'm loosing my passion for it and when you loose passion for a project yet you continue with it you'll only end it on a bad note. I'll most likely go into more detail another time but for now don't expect another chapter very soon...

Chapter 21: Spaztastic Dork

Emma P.O.V.

I groaned and glared at the alarm clock blaring next to my head as I opened my eyes. I guess mornings suck in every dimension.

I sat up as Skoodge hesitantly poked his head into my room. "Hey, you're starting skool today right?" he asked as I rubbed my eyes. "Yeah, why?"

"Well the bell rings in 15 minutes just so you know…"

My eyes widened as I looked at the clock. "Shit! I'm gonna be late!" I jumped out of bed, accidentally slamming the door in Skoodge's face as I got dressed and brushed out my mess of hair.

I heard Zim snickering as I walked into the kitchen, grabbing a doughnut on my way out. "Oh shut it, you could've said something ya'know…"

"Zim knows, but it's funnier this way."

I growled. "Jerk…"

I stuffed my notebook, pencil bag, and wallet in my purse and took a bag lunch I made yesterday out of the fridge. Good thing I'm always prepared.

"Hold on!" Skoodge ran up to me just before I left. He took my arm and slipped a silver ring of fabric on it, sliding into place under Zim's pak. "These will help disguise him as a backpack. I figured you can't be too careful, y'know…" he muttered, obviously nervous I would reject his disguise.

I smiled and slipped the other one on. "Thanks Skoodge…" I pat his head before running out the door.

I dug my phone out of my jacket pocket and chose some music to play while I ran, cramming the doughnut in my face and nearly choking. After he was sure I wouldn't die Zim started giving me directions for the fastest route.

I was about three blocks away from the school when someone grabbed my shoulder. I yelped in surprise and whipped around only to come face to face with the Paranormal Dork himself, Dib.

The boy with the raven scythe backed up slightly at my sudden movement and adjusted his glasses. I sighed and pulled my earbuds out, knowing this confrontation was inevitable, especially considering what I was wearing. "Need something?"

"N-no, not really. I just couldn't help but notice that backpack of yours-"

Fuuuuuck…

"-and would like to ask you a couple questions…" he said, pulling a strange looking scanned out of his pocket.

I was mentally curing enough to make a sailor blush but kept a calm look. "Fine, but keep up. I don't want to be late." I said walking back on my original path to school.

"So you go to skool here?" Dib questioned.

"First day…"

"Anything you're planning on doing while you're here?" he asked, clearly thinking I was an alien already. Damn, I usually have to try for that to happen.

I shrugged at his question. "I dunno...take over the world maybe…"

I really wish I had gotten a picture of his face. "What was that?!"

"Huh, oh nothing…" I smirked at him.

He growled and grabbed my arm. "You just said you were going to take over the world!"

"I said maybe. That whole thing is more of a hobby...but you know what else I've always wanted an excuse to do?"

"What?"

My smirk grew before a lifted my leg up with lightning speed and kneed him straight in the crotch. I slipped my hand out of his grip as he curled up in pain on the sidewalk and I ran off cackling.

"Emma-human! Did you see that look on his filthy face?!" Zim said, dying of laughter.

"I know! I really need to get a camera installed my eyeball to savor these moments." I said with a grin.

After we both calmed down a bit I walked up the front steps of the "skool" and started searching around the dark, grime infested hallways for Miss Bitters class. I learned the other day when I called the building to get myself transferred in that each individual class was separated by grade level since hardly anyone went to the horrible place so at least I won't be put in a separate class than Zim.

I hesitantly poked my head in the room, suddenly feeling butterflies in my stomach. As annoying and unwarranted they were I walked confidently into the classroom only to end standing awkwardly in front of the students before I felt my spine turn to ice as Bitters slithered up behind me.

"Class, a new student will be joining us today. This is Emma, and I hope that she'll become as miserable as the rest of you in a very short period of time." she practically hissed at me. "Feel free to choose any empty seats you can find, stay there, and shut up." she said, sitting back down at her desk.

I nodded and examined the class. There were three seats empty, Zim's of course as well as Dib's and Tak's old seat. I was tempted to take Dib's seat before he could get here but decided I messed with him enough for now and chose Tak's seat directly behind his.

A few minutes later Dib stumbled in panting, clearly having to run after recovering.

"You're late Dib…" Bitters hissed.

"But the bell hasn't rung ye-" he was interrupted by the first bell of the day and he was still standing in the doorway, technically not in the classroom.

Dib groaned and walked in, glaring at me as he sat down. I waved at him with an overly happy expression just to annoy him.

Dib P.O.V.

I sat down in my seat after glaring at the new girl. Who the hell was she anyway, other than a massive jackass. She has a Pak just like irkens but I scanned her this morning and she came up human! Maybe my scanner is busted or she's using some alien technology to mess with the scanner. Or maybe Zim is controlling her to throw me off his trail so I go chasing after her! That poor girl… I gotta stop Zim!

I peeked over my shoulder and saw the girl doodling in her notebook. I'm going to have to keep an eye on her.

Eventually the lunch bell rang and I walked out of the classroom with everyone else, alien girl trailing behind me. I sat down with my sister Gaz after getting my lunch and kept my eyes fixed on her as she sat down at Zim's old table.

After a few minutes I couldn't take having so many questions and got up to confront her. Hopefully she wouldn't hit me again… She glanced up at me with a smirk and set her sandwich down. "Got something to say kiddo?"

I huffed and sat down across from her. "I know you're working with Zim. Whether it's against your will or not I'm going to stop you." I said in a stern and threatening voice.

Then she started...laughing..? She snickered under her breath before laughing out loud. She was starting to freak me out. I flinched as she reached out and tousled my hair. "You silly, silly boy. You're more paranoid than I thought. It's kind of adorable." She smiled.

The bell rang and she stood up and walked back to class without another word.

What….the...HELL?!
