Chapter 21 Malfoy Family Christmas

They arrived at the secret log cabin that lay deep in the woods of Yellow Rose Farms late in the evening three nights and three days before Christmas Eve. After unsaddling the winged horses, they cast a spell on them that would make them look like nothing more than a pair of grey Arabian horses, and settled them in the simple log barn before Pamela walked to the door and waved her hand in a complicated pattern.

As Lucius walked up behind her he heard a click and the door opened. She stepped in and turned on the light illuminating the interior of the cabin. "Hello Family, osiyo sidanelvhi, said Pamela in greeting in English and another language that Lucius had never heard before.

"Hello to all, welcome back, siyo, tsilugi," came the voices from the large family portrait of Pamela's ancestors from their place on the mantle.

"Grandmother, may I introduce my new husband Lucius Malfoy," she asked pulling Lucius closer to the old wooden frame that held her magical ancestors?

"Welcome to the family son. It has been a long time since our dear great grandchild has visited us," said a red headed old man with a long beard.

"Yes, dear, it pleases us all to see you happy. Tell us, are you still repressing your magic or have you rejoined the tribal ways," asked an old Cherokee woman with long braided black hair?

"I've been using my magic for the last five months great, great grandmother. It will also please you to know that I am now legally classified as a witch, and carry a wand," said Pamela as she pulled her wand and showed it to her family.

"You two are still on your honeymoon, are you not," asked another red headed man?

"Yes, great, great grandfather, we are," she said simply.

"Well dear, don't let our old portrait hold you from enjoying your private time with your husband. Just promise us that you'll take us with you when you leave. It's awfully lonely here in the cabin without humans to look upon," said a man with darker red hair.

"I will, but you all have to promise not to speak in front of the muggles who don't know you," promised Pamela as she led Lucius to the bedroom for the night.

"Worry not, dearest one, we've been around muggles for centuries, I think that we know when to hold our tongues. Good night Spirit Moonwater, take good care of your husband," said an elderly wizard with long braided hair as Pamela closed the bedroom door behind them.

"Your ancestors seem far more civil than some of mine. What was that language that you were speaking to them, and what was that the darker skinned ones with black hair called you,"? asked Lucius as he flopped down on the bed and kicked off his boots, wiggling his toes

"The language that I spoke to some in the portrait was Cherokee. My sister Deanna also speaks it. The name that the elders called me is my tribal name, Spirit Moonwater. Do you have any more questions before I take a shower,"? she asked as she walked from the adjoining bathroom with her hair down

Lucius's eyebrows shot up and he gave his wife one of those wicked little smiles that meant that he was not done with her yet. "Yes, as a matter of fact I do have one last question for you my beautiful Spirit Moonwater," he said as he got to his feet and stepped over to where she was undressing.

"Yes, Mr. Malfoy, and what would that question be,"? she asked allowing him to pull her now naked body close to him

"Is there enough room in that tub for two," he asked placing a kiss on her soft lips?

"That depends on if you are actually going to let me bathe, or if you have other ideas," she said as she slid out of his grasp and quickly moved into the bathroom before poking one hand out and crooking her finger at him invitingly

On the morning of Christmas Eve Pamela awoke early and was in the middle of preparing breakfast for the two of them when she peeked out of the kitchen and noticed Lucius having a conversation with the massive family portrait on the mantle, and smiled. He was speaking to a pair of her ancestors whom normally stayed near the back of the portrait on opposite sides and laughed when he turned to her and gave her a strange look.

"Breakfast is ready, if my ancestors will allow you to join me," she said as Lucius gave the portrait one last look and joined her in the kitchen.

"Darling, I've just discovered something very interesting about you, that I'm not sure if even you were aware of," he said as he took a seat and took a sip from the hot mug of coffee that she had placed in front of him.

"Really, what secrets have my ancestors been passing down to you," she asked as she served him a large bowl of oatmeal with sliced fruit?

"Well, darling, I am aware that your sister was educated here in the states at the Niagara School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but all things said perhaps the two of you should have attended Hogwarts instead," he said as he took a bite from his bowl.

"Why is that," she asked curiously?

"Pamela, you are aware of your Irish and Cherokee heritage, but did you know that you and your sister are the several times great granddaughters of two of the founders of Hogwarts?"

"What do you mean I'm related to two Hogwarts founders," asked Pamela in shock?

"Darling, it appears that both you and your sisters are the result of a forbidden love. The son of Salazar Slytherin and the only daughter of Godrick Gryffindor married in secret, and you're many times great grandmother Vivian Esmay Slytherin was the result."

"The daughter of Godrick Gryffindor died during childbirth, and Salazar's son was so distraught over the loss that he gave his daughter to an Irish ancestor of yours who raised her as his own. You are a magical rarity my love," said Lucius pointing his fork with a strawberry on it at her.

Pamela leaned forward in her seat and bit the strawberry off of the end of his fork, before getting out of her seat and walking into the living room. "Hey, you little vixen I was going to eat that," he said in protest as he followed her to where she now stood before the family portrait.

"Then if you wanted it, you shouldn't have pointed it at me," she quipped before giving the portrait a look.

"Excuse me, please my dear family, but I'd like to know if what my husband has just told me is true," she said attempting to look at every painted face in the portrait.

"What did he tell you,"? asked a decidedly British voice from the far back right corner of the portrait

"Yes, child, what exactly did your husband tell you,"? asked another hidden voice from the far back left side of the portrait

"Before I answer the two of you, would you both mind terribly moving up to the front where I can see exactly who I am addressing," asked Pamela straining her eyes to find the two speakers?

"Of course they will," answered another British voice that she had never heard before.

"And they're not going to fight, are they father,"? came a female voice that was unfamiliar.

"If they do I'll gladly hex them both, came the voice of a red headed witch with green eyes wearing a dress that looked as if it belonged in the renaissance period as she stepped forward.

"I don't want to be anywhere near that pig's rear end," grumbled a large wizard with a wild mane of red hair and a long flowing beard that made him resemble a lion. He was wearing scarlet and gold with a lion crest over his breastplate.

"Oh believe me Godrick, the feeling is completely reciprocated. I wouldn't want to be so close to a fat ill-tempered wizard like you," snapped Salazar as he was pushed roughly toward the front of the portrait.

Once the two arguing wizards were at the front of the portrait, they both grew silent as they stared open mouthed at their many times great granddaughter, who looked exactly like their granddaughter who was standing there with her wand pointed at both of them. "Well, great gentlemen, I've never noticed you in this portrait before. Why didn't you speak up before now," asked Pamela with her arms crossed?

"It's really quite simple child of Gryffindor and Slytherin, We never spoke up because we spend most of our time in our portraits at Hogwarts," said Salazar looking slightly calmer.

"That and the fact that you are almost never in the cabin, when we are socializing with our other family members," said Godrick as he looked over at Salazar who now had a slight smile on his face. "Salazar, what are you smiling about," he asked?

"Godrick, I think that it's time to bury the hatchet between us. Our discord has gone on long enough. It's time to bring harmony back to our families, and Hogwarts as well," said Salazar giving Godrick a meaningful look.

"Perhaps you're right, Pamela, dearest what are your plans for the future," asked Godrick?

"Aside from being Lucius's wife and mother to his charming son, and my niece and nephew, god willing, I only have plans on living happily with my new family. Why do you ask," asked Pamela wondering about the intriguing expressions on the painted faces of the two Hogwarts founders?

"We promise that we'll explain everything later. For now we have a few important errands to attend to, so we'll see you soon," said Salazar as he smiled at Godrick.

"I told you, that it would happen, but no, you just wouldn't believe me," quipped Godrick as the two painted men vanished from the portrait together.

"No you didn't I told you," argued Salazar's voice before they were completely gone from the portrait.

"That was slightly confusing," said Pamela as she returned to the kitchen to clean up the morning dishes.

"Not as confusing as you think darling, I understood it," said Lucius as he grabbed a dish towel and started to dry the freshly clean dishes.

"Well, since you understand what they're talking about, please enlighten me," said Pamela as she summoned the dishes from the table and placed them into the sink.

"I'm sorry, but I've been forbidden to tell you anything," said Lucius.

"Forbidden, who told you that you were forbidden to tell me anything," asked Pamela in shock?

"Your many times great grandfather, Salazar Slytherin forbade me from telling you anything. He's the founder of my old school house. I may not be in school any longer, but once a Slytherin always a Slytherin," said Lucius shrugging his shoulders.

"That, darling is not a valid excuse. So I'm going to attend to the winged horses while you finish up the dishes," said Pamela leaving him standing in the kitchen shaking his head.

Before leaving the house Lucius respectfully asked permission from the portrait's occupants to shrink the frame so that it would fit safely into his pocket, so that it could be moved to the main house. After gaining their approval he left the house and smiled at the sight of his wife in her long burgundy skirt and matching riding jacket sitting astride the Stallion holding the mare who was wearing Lucius's saddle.

"Are you still angry with me," he asked as he mounted the mare?

"No, if my ancestors don't wish for you to tell me something important, and wish to tell me themselves, I can't argue with them. It would be very disrespectful. Besides Native American witches and wizards believe that though the ancestors are no longer living in the physical being, that they are still able to affect the world around their descendants. I'll trust great grandfather Salazar's judgement," she said as she rode up beside him and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Last one back to Yellow Rose Manor pays for all of the Christmas shopping, food and all. No, flying allowed," she said as she willed the winged stallion forward into a fast run.

"Hey, no fair, you're lighter than I am and you got a head start," he called after her as he willed the mare forward attempting to catch up with his wife. As they rode rapidly through the thick woods Lucius took the only path that he knew would take him back to the front of the farm, and thought that he was in the lead when he had passed Pamela and it seemed that she had fallen behind.

Draco, Susan, Anna, and Clayton were walking up the driveway when they felt a whoosh of wind and saw a streak of grey and burgundy fly past them from over a fence that led onto the cattle side of the farm. "What the hell was that," blurted Clayton clearly not thinking? Susan slapped him upside his head for the swear word and simply pointed at the front of the large house, where Pamela was sitting astride a magnificent grey stallion with large wings.

Anna's jaw dropped in shock at the sight before them. "Holy hippogriff's is that a Granian winged horse," she asked as she walked closer to the stallion?

"Yes, he's part of a breeding pair that your uncle Lucius bought for me as a wedding gift. Isn't he amazing," asked Pamela noting that the stallion wasn't even breathing as if he had just had a hard run?

"I knew that you'd like them," said Draco as he caught sight of his father galloping up with a smug expression on his face until he caught sight of his victorious wife.

"But you, I, how in Merlin's name did you beat me here? The last time that I saw you, you were far behind me on the trail," said Lucius in a shocked tone.

"To answer your question, no I didn't fly. It just so happens that there is more than one trail that leads back to the farm house. You regrettably, are only aware of one of them, whereas I know every trail on the farm," she said as she hopped out of the saddle landing lightly on her feet.

"Don't worry though darling, I don't intend on making you pay for everything. We're married so we will do such things together," she said with a smile as she handed the reins of the stallion over to Susan, and placed a kiss on his lips before taking the mare's reins from his hand and walking into the barn laughing.

When Susan and Pamela had got back into the warmth of the house, they were shocked to find several people and things that they didn't expect. The first thing that Susan noticed was the identical family portrait which had been enlarged to a point where the frame took up an entire wall of the family living room, allowing each and every family member to be seen clearly.

The first thing that Pamela noticed was the two sets of small arms that wrapped around her legs making movement impossible, and her brother-in-law, who was holding a roll of parchment in his hand. "James," she started as the tears of joy started flowing down her cheeks while she sank to her knees and wrapped the two children in her arms?

"Michelle, Davey, why don't you tell her the good news," said Deanna and Renee with large smiles on their faces. Davey piped up and put his tiny chubby little hands on her cheeks.

"No cwy, you mama," he said in his squeaky little voice.

"Yeah, Bubba's right, you my mommy, and he's my daddy, and he's my big bubba," said Michelle pointing to Pamela, Lucius, and Draco happily.

"Yes sweetness, and since you are now the first daughter that I've ever had, I'm going to treat you like a true princess," said Lucius as he knelt so that he was at eye level with his adopted daughter and conjured a soft pink stuffed bunny making it float in front of her.

"For me, daddy," asked Michelle as she moved from Pamela's lap and looked from the stuffed bunny to her new dad?

"Yes, for you, and here's something that I think you would like as well, Davey," he said as he conjured a Green ball that changed colors and made fun little noises, and said things like,' ouch, that hurts, wee that was fun, and boing,' every time that it was bounced.

Michelle took the bunny from the air in front of her and hugged Lucius around the neck, giving him a soft kiss on his cheek. "Thank you Daddy. Mommy, look what daddy gave me. I'm going to call her pinky, pinky," said Michelle as she ran over to Draco and asked him to play with her. On hearing the word play, Davey looked up at Pamela and Lucius pleadingly.

"Mama, Dada, I go play too," he asked eagerly?

"Sure you can sweetie," said Pamela giving him one last squeeze before letting him go and play with Draco, Anna, and Michelle.

"You not leave," asked Davey with large fearful eyes?

"No baby boy, mama and Dada will never leave you and sissy. Go on and play, Cousin Anna will take you to the play room," said Pamela giving Anna a keep an eye on him look.

Once the children had left the room, the mood got serious. "James, Deanna, Renee, what happened at the trial," she asked smoothing the wrinkles from her skirt as she got to her feet?

"It isn't good, as we feared Mike got charged with two counts of child abuse, two charges of domestic violence, and two counts of capital murder," said Deanna with a sour expression on her face.

"I still think that one of you should have hexed him into the next life, and then hexed him again just for good measure," said Renee spitefully.

"Why, so she could end up in prison right along with him? You know that none of us are that stupid," said Pamela as she noticed Susan turn away from the family portrait with a shocked expression on her face.

"Susan, are you alright," asked Pamela as she stepped over to where the stunned woman was just standing staring at her with tears in her eyes?

"I am now," she said as she threw her arms around Pamela's neck and hugged her tightly. Before Pamela could ask, Salazar and Godrick stepped back into the portrait with happy smiles on their painted faces.

"Pamela, Susan is your cousin. Her many times great grandfather is your many times great grandmother's brother," said Godrick as the rest of the Gryffindor family made their presence known by stepping forward.

"I knew that there was a reason that you and I got along, as if we were family," said Susan with a watery smile on her face.

"Now, the magical families of Gryffindor and Slytherin are reunited," said Godrick happily.

"Yes, now all that you or your sister Deanna have to do is to take your place at Hogwarts and bring complete peace and unity to the four school houses," said Salazar with a hopeful look at his two many times great granddaughters.

"Thanks for the offer grandfather, but I'm not like my sister, who's spent loads of time traveling all over the world. Scotland is just too cold for my liking and my husband and family are here," said Deanna shaking her head.

"What about you, Pamela? Will you help us bring peace and unity back to Hogwarts," asked Salazar with a pleading expression on his face?

"It's time to stop the constant feuds between the four houses," said Godrick.

"Well, I have to raise my young adopted children, I don't know if I'll be able to do that and whatever it takes to bring peace to the school," said Pamela.

"Actually Pamela that might not be as hard as you think," said James as he handed over the rolled parchment to her.

"What is this," she asked as she opened it and started to read it silently? Her eyes froze and her jaw dropped in amazement at what she was reading, and Lucius took that moment to read the parchment out loud over her shoulder.

"Dear Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy,

This letter is to inform you that your two adopted children, Michelle Anne Grace Malfoy, and her sibling David Michael Henry Malfoy are half-blooded wizarding children. They have both been tested at their birth and have already shown their magical skill at a young age. Please ensure that they are educated in the magical arts by a proper institution of magical learning. Enclosed are the required forms to ensure their enrolment into any wizarding school of your choice when they become of proper age.

Sincerely,

Matthew Leesburg

Minister of Magic

United States."

After Lucius had read the letter in its entirety, all of the adults looked up toward the second floor where they heard Draco's terrified scream, and Lucius and Pamela were the first to the stairs with their wands in hand, expecting the worst. When all of the adults had reached the play room where the two young children and the two teens were supposed to be playing, they had a hard time not joining in on the raucous laughter that flowed from the three other children who were rolling on the floor with laughter.

On seeing the predicament that Draco was in, Lucius covered his face with his hands and burst out laughing as hard as the three rolling children. Poor Draco was now wearing a sparkly tiara, a pink sparkly leotard with pale pink tights and ballet shoes, and a very frilly, lacy tutu. He was trying to get his wand back from where it was floating a foot out of his reach in the air, and hold the tutu down so that he didn't feel so embarrassed at the same time.

"Stop laughing father, this isn't funny at all," he screeched as he saw his father laughing so hard that there were tears in his eyes.

"Oh, sorry Draco, exactly how did you get in that situation," asked Lucius trying to stifle his laughter?

"I told her that I didn't want to play dress up, and the next thing that I knew this happened. When I tried to remove the spell, my wand went flying out of my hand," he said pointing to his wand.

"Anastasia Dianna Runyon, remove that spell right now," said Susan angrily giving her daughter her famous do it or you're grounded until you die look.

"Mom, I swear, I'm not doing it," said Anna showing her mother that her wand was still hidden safely in her wool lined boot. On seeing that Anna's wand was not being used, Pamela stepped forward and knelt down to get Davey's attention.

"Davey, that's not very nice. Give your big bubba back his wand. Taking bubba's wand is a no-no," she said in a coaxing tone as she wagged her finger at him. Davey looked up at his new mother with large eyes and looked like he was going to cry.

"No, no, I bad boy," he asked letting the wand drop into Pamela's open hand?

"Davey, go and give it back to bubba Draco, and tell him that you're sorry," she said handing the toddler the wand and pointing at Draco.

"Yes mama," he said as he took the wand and slowly walked over to Draco and handed it up to him. "Bubba, I sowwy," he said as he looked up into Draco's angry eyes. On seeing his new little brother's tears, Draco softened his facial features and picked Davey up ruffling his curly blond hair affectionately.

"It's okay Davey, I promise that when you are old enough, that I'll teach you loads of neat things, and I'll even go with you when you get your own wand, but you have to grow up a bit and be a big boy," said Draco as he momentarily forgot what he was wearing and tickled his little brother making him laugh. Before he could put his little brother down he heard Pamela's voice now speaking to his little sister attempting to coax her to drop the spell on her big brother.

"No, I want Draco to dance with me," said Michelle defiantly. Lucius tried to end the spell, but it didn't work, so he gave his little princess a look. He didn't know if he should be mad or thoroughly impressed. Suddenly he had an inspired idea, and a mischievous smile spread across his face.

"Princess, I have a better idea. How about we all dance for you? Then after we're done you can release your brother from that spell," he asked as he removed his wand and held it up?

"You gonna dance too daddy," she asked getting excited at the prospect of more ballerinas?

"Yes I am, and so are your uncle's Matthew, James, Charles, and Clayton," he said giving his wand a wide swish through the air instantly changing all of the men's clothes into different colored ballet outfits to match the one that Draco was wearing.

"Lucius, change my clothes back, there's no way that I'm going to dance like a fruitcake, fairy," said Charles as he attempted to remove the purple tutu that he was suddenly wearing against his will.

"Sorry my dear brother-in-law, but if one man has to do it we all do. Either you dance with us for the princess, or I'll make you do it," said Lucius as he pointed his wand at Charles feet enchanting the ballet shoes. He flicked his wand again and the theme music from the nutcracker ballet started to play making the enchanted shoes begin to dance taking Charles and the other men along for the ride.

Pamela and the other women laughed so hard that by the time the men were finished dancing around the room with Michelle that they were out of breath and in tears from laughing so hard. The rest of that day was spent with the family Christmas shopping, and decorating everything. By the time they were done, there was a large tree in the living room of Yellow Rose Manor, a large tree in the riding arena for the farm hands and other staff to enjoy, and two more at Mending Meadows.

Later that night Lucius and Pamela went upstairs to put Michelle and Davey to bed, and found them both cuddled up in Draco's bed as he read them a story from his old copy of Beetle the Bard. He was so into reading the story that he hadn't even noticed that both children were fast asleep, both clinging to him for dear life. Pamela and Lucius quietly entered the bedroom placing their fingers to their lips and pointing down at Draco's new younger siblings.

Lucius conjured a crib and a small canopy bed for Michelle and Davey as Pamela gently took Michelle from Draco's bed and carried her over to the small bed that Lucius had made for her. "Thank you, Draco for being such a good big brother to them. They haven't had it easy, and need all the love they can get," said Pamela as she knelt and placed a gentle kiss on Davey's head before pulling the warm blanket up to his chin.

"Are you sure that you don't want us to move them into their own room," asked Lucius softly?

"No father, it feels good to be able to let them know that I'm here for them," said Draco with a deep yawn.

"Good night Draco darling. Sleep well, because something tells me you're going to have a very full day tomorrow," said Pamela as she joined Lucius by the door giving her three children a protective look before being pulled away.

"He's really handling this well considering that he's been an only child all of his life. I'm very proud of him," said Lucius as he stopped under some mistletoe and placed a tender kiss on Pamela's lips.

"I'm proud of him too, come on we've got work to do before we can go to sleep," she said as she pulled away from him and started walking downstairs. Two hours later they retired to bed feeling satisfied that the children would be very pleased when they woke and found that Santa had been there. The last thing that they did before leaving was to eat quite a few of the cookies that the children had helped to bake for Santa and drink half of the glass of milk leaving the plate and glass sitting on the coffee table where the two younger children would be sure to notice it.

Early the next morning, Draco was awakened by Michelle and Davey who had pounced on him making him short of breath for a few seconds. "Dwaco, Ho, ho man was here," squealed Davey excitedly!

"Who," asked Draco with a puzzled expression on his face?

"Bubba, means Santa was here, so get up Draco," said Michelle as she pulled on his arm impatiently.

"Why now, it's too early," he complained?

"Yes, now you have to help us wake up mommy and daddy," said Michelle as Davey slid Draco's house slippers onto his bare feet.

Draco brought his finger to his lips and pulled two little wind-up toys out of his pocket and handed them to Michelle and Davey. "Here, let me show you an easy way to wake up Mom and Dad," he said as he opened the door. "First we wind these up like this, and then let them go inside of the room," he said as he wound up one for himself and turned it loose in the room.

The three watched at the door as the three little toys walked under the bed where there parents slept, before loud noises, honks, bells, and sirens sounded in the room making Pamela and Lucius wake up screaming in fear and fall from either side of the bed. "Merry Christmas, screamed the three over the noise of the little toys that made such a big noise!

Lucius grabbed his wand and made the three monstrously loud toys from Weasley's wizard wheezes vanish. "Mama, Dada, ho, ho man was here," said Davey as he ran and hugged Lucius's legs!

"Who," asked Lucius in confusion?

"He means Santa was here," said Draco, Michelle and Pamela in unison.

"Oh, I see, why does he call him Ho, ho man," asked Lucius as he slid on his robe that Pamela tossed to him making Davey giggle when it covered his head?

"Come on, Lucius haven't your parents ever taken you to visit Santa and tell him what you want for Christmas," asked Pamela as she sat Michelle on her lap and brushed her long blond hair out of her little face, pulling it back into a curly little ponytail? Lucius shook his head sadly. "Well Lucius Muggles have a fat jolly man dress up like Santa and he says, 'Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas,' as the children walk up to see him," explained Pamela as Michelle attempted to pull her from the room excitedly.

"Come on Dada, wana go open pwensents," said Davey locking his arms and legs around one of Lucius's legs in preparation to ride his leg all the way downstairs.

"Okay, let's go," he said as he plucked Davey from his leg and placed the giggling boy on his shoulders as he walked from the room. Michelle squealed happily as she danced around the living room with her very full stocking pointing at the milk and cookies that were almost gone.

"Santa came, Santa came," she said as she plopped down on the floor beside Draco and unceremoniously dumped her entire stocking out onto the floor separating the toys from the candy with Draco's help.

Each child was given their choice of three pieces of candy that they would be allowed to eat before breakfast. Michelle picked a lickerish wand, a chocolate frog, and a pumpkin pasty. Davey picked a cauldron cake, a small box of every flavored beans, and a chocolate frog, then followed the enchanted candy as it leapt from the box and hopped across the room making everyone laugh. "Wibit, wibit, wibit I a fwoggy," he said as he finally caught the treat and bit off its head. "Yummy, chocowate fwog," he said attempting to feed part of the half eaten treat to Lucius with a happy smile on his little face.

By noon all of the rest of the family had arrived to help with Christmas dinner, and all of the presents were opened, well they thought that they were. There was one last knock on the door and Michelle ran to open it to find Santa and Mrs. Clause standing on the porch. "Mommy, Daddy, Bubba, Bubba, Santa's here," she screamed dancing around the two new arrivals.

Lucius walked out onto the porch and tried not to laugh as he poked Santa's stomach and watched it wiggle like jelly. "And you thought that the things that I talked you into doing were embarrassing," he said looking Clayton in the eye.

"I know, but I did it for the kids, so they'd have a good Christmas," he said as he moved aside allowing Anna to pull the large red velvet sack into the house.

"Oh, we just had to stop back by because Santa's reindeer left a couple piles of poo on the roof," said Susan as she pointed up to the roof of the house.

"Wow, reindeer poo is rainbow colored and sparkly," said Michelle pointing up with an amazed expression on her face.

"Yes, there was a few presents that Santa couldn't fit inside of your house so we had to put them somewhere larger," said Susan ignoring the look that Pamela gave her as she caught sight of the strange looking substance on the roof.

"I know that Clayton had something to do with that. It better not be real, or he'll be climbing up there and cleaning my roof without magic," whispered Pamela.

"So, Santa, what did you get for the children that was so big that it couldn't fit in the house," asked Lucius curiously?

"Wait until they open their other presents, and I think that you'll figure it out," said Clayton as he was dragged inside by Michelle who wanted to feed him more cookies and milk.

"Warning, Santa little Davey and Michelle think that all Santa eats is cookies and milk said Draco as he helped Anna with the large bag of presents.

"I can handle it," said Clayton smiling widely.

Once they were inside of the living room Clayton started handing out more gifts to everyone in the room. Lucius was given a silver belt buckle with the Slytherin's house crest in jade on it. Pamela was given a set of hand crafted Cherokee jewelry including a choker made of bone, and turquoise and other stones that had a silver wolves head on it, and a pair of black onyx arrow head earrings. Draco, Michelle, and Davey were each given a large box full of things that they enjoyed opening. Upon opening his gift, Draco instantly knew what was hiding in the barn, and got to his feet and whispered something into his father's ear.

Lucius smiled and simply nodded his consent, before Draco grabbed his box and ran out of the house slamming the door in his haste. "Lucius, do you want to tell me what that's about," asked Pamela as Michelle started shrieking happily over what was in her box?

"If all goes right you'll know the answer to that when he gets home, " said Lucius with a knowing smile on his face as Davey brought his new saddle blanket and handmade bridle and put it on Lucius's lap.

"Mommy, Daddy, look, I've got my very own saddle, blanket, bridle, and even pink brushes for horses," said Michelle as she opened another smaller box that was in the bottom of the large box. "Wow, and I got pretty riding boots like yours mommy, and a hard pink hat," said Michelle pulling out new shiny black boots and a western style riding helmet.

"Me too, me too, " said Davey as he crawled around in the box that was now on its side with joy.

"Can we put our new clothes and boots on mommy," asked Michelle wanting to show them to the horses?

"Yes, you can, sweetie, Anna, why don't you help Michelle and daddy, you can help Davey while I have a little chat with Susan and Clayton," said Pamela giving them a look?

"Don't over react we didn't spend as much money as you think," said Clayton as he got to his feet and stretched.

"Clayton's right, Anna and I made the bridles by hand, and the enchanted saddles and blankets were suggested gifts from the Irish and Native American ancestors. They've been sitting in the old barn up at the log cabin for years and you never noticed them," said Susan.

"Susan, I haven't even had the chance to buy them properly trained ponies or even to teach them to ride yet," said Pamela with a worried expression on her face.

"Pamela, you know me, do you honestly think that I'd give the kids anything that would hurt them? The saddles are enchanted to hold the kids in place. They won't ever fall off, and the Blankets are enchanted so that they can only get off if they are taken off by a member of their family."

"As for the ponies, I've had them since they were born, but didn't give them to them because of their sperm donor's dislike of anything to do with magic.

"Susan I can understand the saddles and blankets, but what does ponies have to do with magic," asked Pamela as the sounds of small running feet came thundering down the stairs in excitement?

"You'll see," said Susan as she guided Michelle and Davey out onto the porch and handed them each a large thick ribbon. "Kids your last and biggest present is at the end of these ribbons. Michelle yours is attached to the pink ribbon, and yours is attached to the blue one Davey," she said as the children started to follow the ribbons into the family barn followed closely by the adults.

The stall that Draco's largest gift was in was standing open and empty with his green brush bag sitting on a bale of hay outside of the door, and next to that stall on either side was stabled two fat little winged ponies who tossed their heads on seeing the small children. The ponies were identical in their coloring and markings except for one had a blue eye on the left and the other had one on the right side of their faces. "Ponies," yelled Davey, and Michelle as they ran to the stall doors and looked in through the pink and blue stall guards!

"Susan, where did you have these little guys hidden," asked Pamela as she saddled Michelle's pony for her?

"You're not the only one who has a hidden barn on their property. I've been breeding Granian winged horses for years. Where did you think that Lucius got your wedding gift from," asked Susan with a smile on her face?

"Lucius, you knew about this," asked Pamela looking across the empty stall into his silver eyes?

"Yes I did, I could have told you about it, but it would have ruined the surprise for your wedding gift and the Christmas gift for the kids," he said with a smile as he lifted Davey into the saddle and led him from the stall into the arena.

After a day full of playing, riding their new ponies, with enchanted saddles, and eating both children had fallen asleep on the sofa in Lucius and Pamela's arms. They were about to take them up to tuck them into their beds when the flames in the fireplace went green and three unexpected guests entered the room. Draco quickly got to his feet in shock and gave up his seat for the dark robed man who was standing supported by a cane and a beautiful witch that he had never seen before.

"Uncle Severus, they said that you were dead," said Draco hugging his god-father before he got to the open seat warmly.

"Lucius, why didn't you tell him," asked Severus as Draco and the beautiful witch helped him into the comfortable chair?

"I'm sorry mate, I figured that it would make a fitting surprise when you came for Christmas," said Lucius as he adjusted his sleeping son in his arms.

"So it would appear that what Minerva told me about you settling down with a new wife is true. I've got to say, I didn't expect your family to grow so fast," said Severus as he looked at the small boy asleep in Lucius's arms.

"Well, you have been busy as well, is that a wedding ring on your hand old friend," asked Lucius as Minerva held out her hands to take the baby from him with a gentle smile on her face.

"Yes, this is my new wife and guardian Angel. If not for her showing up when she did, I'd be dead for sure," he said as he placed his hand over his wife's on his shoulder and looked up at her lovingly.

"Lucius, darling, please excuse me, I think these two little ones should be put to bed," said Pamela as she struggled to get to her feet without waking Michelle.

"Come back down when you're finished tucking them in love," said Lucius as he helped her to her feet and placed a tender kiss on her cheek.

Once up in the children's bedroom which as next to the master bedroom, Minerva tenderly laid little Davey down into his crib and pulled his blanket to his little chin and gave the sleeping boy a loving smile before turning to speak with Pamela Malfoy about something that was considered very important. "Lady Malfoy, I wish to ask a very large favor of you," she said as she watched Pamela gently lay her little girl in her bed.

"Does this have anything to do with my many times great grandfather's being two of the founders of your school," she asked as she walked to the door of the room and flicked her wand making the ceiling of the room light up with thousands of stars that made a perfect night-light for the two children?

"Yes, I'm afraid that it is, Mrs. Malfoy," said Minerva stepping out of the room.

"Well why don't you and I speak of this in the presence of my husband, and his friend Severus, since it includes them as well," said Pamela making Minerva's jaw drop in shock?

"You, are you, how did you," stammered Minerva in shock that Pamela seemed to know exactly what was going on without being told.

"We'll discuss it downstairs over a nice hot cup of tea," said Pamela instantly as she walked back down the stairs.
