Chuck approaches Sarah's private room and is about to enter but suddenly stops. He takes a brief moment to peer down at the plastic bowl of ice cubes he's presently holding. Afterwards, he takes a deep breathe, reaches down with his good hand grasping the door handle, and then turns it while simultaneously pushing his left shoulder against the door to push it open. In doing, so he leans his head forward and flashes a smile towards his wife sitting as comfortable as she can in her bed. A mixture of relieved concern expressed on her face once she finally sees him enter into the room.
"Where have you been babe?" she wondered shaking her head. Sarah continues her breathing exercise while speaking with her husband. "It's been over 5 minutes." the former C.I.A. Agent firmly added eyeing him as he walks towards her bedside.
The former nerd herd leader doesn't respond right away. He walks past Dr. Wong and inevitably reaches his wife setting down the plastic bowl of ice cubes on the small table next to her bed. Chuck then leans down to kiss ever so gently on her forehead. "I'm here now…" he softly said leaning back up continuing to express a smile down towards her. "…and have I told you how beautiful you are?"
While sitting there, she quirks her right brow up towards him. "Charlies Irving Bartowski. Do you know how worried I was when you didn't show up? I nearly had Dr. Wong send all the nurses out to look for you." she stated in an angered tone of voice.
It's at that point, Chuck turns his head looking over his right shoulder at Dr. Wong presently looking at Sarah's chart and speaking with a nurse. After catching his eye, he gives his retort knowing he may have overheard that verbal exchange.
"She's right Chuck. Thankfully, you showed up and I didn't have to." he retorted raising both eyebrows.
As much as he wants to make reference right now to the movie The Fugitive where she orders all the nurses to search every hospital room, examination room, waiting room, bathroom, janitor closets and possibly even cafeteria, he makes the conscious decision not to. Although, Harrison Ford's character Richard Kimble is on the run for supposedly murdering his lovely wife and spends the entire movie to clear his name, the situation he is currently in is totally different. True, she has a tendency to convey an oftentimes U.S. Marshal Deputy Sam Gerard like persona played brilliantly by Tommy Lee Jones, which he doesn't want to encounter any time soon.
"Sorry honey." he replied turning back around to face her. "I guess I lost track of time." he retorted shrugging his shoulders. The father-to-be lowers himself in the same seat he sat in next to Sarah's bed.
Sarah is momentary silent as she not only takes into account what her husband said to her, but continues to arch her right brow up towards him. While sitting there with her arms crossed and grimacing in pain every so often, she notices him fidgeting a bit telling her he's not telling the whole truth. Plus, she knows him all too well.
"You got lost didn't you."
Instantly Chuck chimes in. "It's a big hospital. Anybody could get lost in this humongous place." he said throwing his hands briefly looking behind him.
He continues blabbering on until Sarah reaches out making sure to grab his non bandaged hand in order to stop him from spiraling. It works as she pulls him in a bit eventually locks eyes with her husband causing him to calm himself down so she can speak with him.
"You're forgiven." softly smiled the blonde beauty. She reaches up with her right hand as if to gently place it on her husband's cheek. Instead, she Gibbs slaps him in the back of his head causing her husband to momentarily wince in pain. Afterwards, she points at Chuck as he leans back in his seat. "Don't ever do that to me again. You hear me." firmly ordered the soon-to-be mother squinting her eyes up at him.
In response, Chuck can't help but feel like a little kid being reprimanded for something he did wrong. Granted, he did do something wrong but it wasn't a major thing. However, it quite possibly could have been since it may possibly turned from a minor situation to a major one in which he wasn't able to be there for the birth of their child. If it was her choice, he would most definitely be wearing a dunce cap and told to sit in the corner and think about what he's done. It's a thought that he quickly shakes out of his head leading him to nod acknowledging his wife.
"Yes ma'am." he responded in a somewhat pouting manner.
In that instance, Sarah firmly nods knowing full well her point is made perfectly clear. She also knows that her husband is doing very awesome in providing for her every need. The plastic container full of ice cubes is evidence enough that he wants to keep her in a positive state of mind instead of a negative. Of course, it's real hard to stay positive knowing she'll be giving birth to a baby she feels could be the size of a watermelon.
It's a truly scary thought to think about and yet she's fully aware he is the only person she wants to be by her side once she finally goes into labor. In any case, all would be awesome once again for the would be parents as they continue as if nothing has happened. The two speak in a whispered conversation to where smiles and laughter are shared between them. The discussion between the two of them that they only know about amongst a room full of nurses and the one man who said to trust him…Dr. Wong. Speaking of Dr. Wong, he approaches the couple.
"Well…" he said standing at the foot of Sarah's bed. "…everything looks fine so far. Vitals are excellent and you were able to get the ice cubes to keep her hydrated." smiled Dr. Wong. "From the looks of thing, you're contractions are now at 4 minutes apart and your dilated at a 6. I'm thinking you're baby may make its arrival any time tonight or tomorrow." he added crossing his arms with the chart pressed against his chest.
The news of when the possible announced arrival causes Chuck and Sarah's eyes to widen. It's getting real. A mixture of anxiety, fear, and terror grip the both of them more so for Sarah than anything else as reality sets in. It will certainly take an emotional toll not just for her but for Chuck as well. However, they can't help but feel extremely happy and overjoyed that they'll not only meet their bundle of joy soon for the very first time, but hold him or her as well. Soon, baby Bartowski will be welcomed into the world.

Casey returns to the waiting room after his encounter with Chuck in front of the nursery. He still has his cup of coffee still in hand and upon arrival he notices there are quite a few more people that are now in the waiting room. 3 to be exact. The Assistant Director of Operations William Daniels, his assistant, and his girlfriend Jayne. Speaking of Jayne, she quickly walks towards him once she spots him heading towards the large group of ever growing individuals all for Chuck and Sarah Bartowski.
"Casey!" she happily said wrapping her arms around him. She makes sure not to knock out of his hand the cup of coffee knowing full well how much it's part of his being. The embrace is momentary inevitably stepping back to look at up at him face to face. "How is Sarah doing?" wondered the dark haired raven.
It's a question that all the occupants within the waiting room are intently are waiting to hear as they stand once the hulking NSA Agent made his presence known. Every eye is transfixed on Colonel John Casey as he is presents them with the information he has thus far.
"I ran into Bartowski and he was getting ice cubes for Walker."
It's that point The Farm's doctor chimes in. "The purpose is to keep her hydrated."
"That is good to hear." nodded Daniels expressing relief on his face. "What about her current condition Colonel? Any info on that?" he inquired crossing his arms with curiosity.
"That's a negative Assistant Director." replied Casey shaking his head. "Bartowski has been considerably preoccupied."
"Understandable."
"What I do know is…" grunted the proud marine. "…Walker is one of THE toughest women I know. She's been through worse scrapes than this and she can be able to get through it like a pro." he firmly added.
A sense of bewildered amusement overtakes the group after hearing that from Casey. This leads to Jayne speaking up.
"Honey…" she responded with a smile towards her boyfriend. "…Sarah is having a baby not going toe to toe with a big bad brute." Jayne added shaking her head.
"I know." he replied back. "Hey, I have been in this type of situation before."
Upon hearing that bit of news, Moxley speaks up out of pure curiosity. "You have!? When? Better question is where?"
In Casey-esque fashion, he expresses a grunt and glares at the newly appoint agent. He then gives him some not all the information that he feels is necessary. "Vegas."
The mere mention of the word "Vegas" causes everyone within the waiting room to pay even closer attention to what Casey is about to share concerning a baby being involved.
"You have my attention." Hansen announced.
For the supposed traitor of Team 3 and now a full-fledged agent, he along with his former trainees quite possibly have the same thought in mind. The thought of Colonel Casey actually partying in Vegas is truly mind blowing he thinks to himself. In his mind, the Colonel and Vegas don't really match up together.
"Me too." Clayton chimed in. He then leans over to Hansen. "I'm guessing the slogan what happens in Vegas doesn't necessarily stay in Vegas.
"This has the movie The Hangover written all over it." happily stated Moxley. "A baby is involved and there's a bachelor party. So…" Mox leans forward a bit towards Casey as he stands next to Moore. "…did anybody get drugged, kidnapped by an Asian man, or left and trapped on top of a hotel roof?" questioned Moxley with absolute curiosity.
"Do you want to hear the particulars or not?" growled the agitated military vet.
It's at that point, Casey's protégé pipes up as he witnesses Moxley take a step back and get behind Moore for protection. "Go on Colonel." nodded Balor towards his mentor.
Casey nods in response. "We were there for a bachelor party for Chuck's soon-to-be brother-in-law Devon. Somehow, it involved me and Bartowski getting stuck in an elevator with a pregnant woman." His attention from the group inevitably turns to his girlfriend. "You know her Jayne. Isabel."
"Right." she nodded. "Rusty and Isabel Ryan."
"Who delivered the baby?" questioned The Farm's doctor.
"Chuck. I…" Casey pauses for a moment to find the right word to say. He doesn't want to admit that he was in a situation where he truly felt fearful and out of place in being the one to deliver the baby. True, during that particular moment in time he didn't have control and thankfully Chuck was there to do all the dirty work, in a manner of speaking. "…supervised." he added clearing his throat. "Long story short, their son would be named after Chuck and I. Charles John Ryan or C.J. Ryan."
"Great story babe." smiled Jayne expressing a soft smile towards Casey.
Casey responds with a smirk of his own towards of his own. However, it would quickly fade once he notices his former trainees smiling at him, with the exception of his protégé Balor. This causes him to once again express a grunt of displeasure towards the newly appointed agents who quickly take their seat making themselves comfortable. It's at this point, Daniels gets the Colonel's attention.
"Oh Colonel…" Before speaking with him, he has a brief conversation with his assistant. Afterwards, he returns his attention to grizzled military vet. "…in case you happen to see Chuck again, let him know he doesn't have to worry about payment. It's been taken care of. Consider it a gift from the United States government." nodded The Assistant Director of Operations.
"That's very sweet of you Assistant Director." Moore chimed in with a smile.
In that instance, the remaining male members of Team 3 simply nod at the surprising gesture made Daniels. It's a side they very rarely see. Their attention would subsequently be broken by a female voice.
"Very sweet." stated Jayne.
The trained sniper gives a firm nod towards The Assistant Director of Operations for his kind gesture. Of course, Chuck would have paid the bill being that he's good for it but with all his focus on Sarah and the baby he's thinking that the father-to-be wouldn't mind at all in him paying the expenses. "I'll pass the word along." he said taking a sip of his coffee.

A total of 4 hours would pass by as Sarah continued experiencing contractions with Chuck by her side supporting her every step of the way. The father-to-be would come out every so often to update them on her condition to keep them in the loop. In that time, the group in the waiting room would split off to either have something to eat, get some sleep, or stretch their legs by taking a walk around the 5th floor of Walter Reed National Medical Center. When it came to Moxley and Moore, they not only ventured around the 5th floor, but they ended up taking a walk outside on the ground floor in order to get some fresh air.
The 2 newly appointed agents are walking in between an outside court area side by side heading towards the front of the building where the entrance is located. The two are in the middle of a conversation concerning the moments during the live training exercise leading up to where they are now.
"Hey, you can't blame me for breaking our cover during the surveillance training at the Mall." Moxley stated shaking his head. "I genuinely thought Mrs. Bartowski was going into labor." he added shrugging his shoulder reflecting back on that particular moment in time.
Moore expresses a bit of amused laughter knowing she too thought the fake labor person were in fact real. Afterwards, she gives her response concerning that particular matter. "I don't Mox…" she said in a reassuring manner. "…and neither do the guys. They understood the situation and let me tell you something…" Moore reaches up with her hand in order to stop Moxley from walking. She then steps in front of and peers up at him with a grin. "…Me, Hansen, Clay, and even Balor would have made the same call you did."
Moxley peers down at Moore standing in front of him. While doing so, he expresses a soft smile leading him to gives his response. "Ya think?"
"Of course."
There is a moment of silence shared between the two as the look into each other's eyes. The two of them knowing full well that they can most definitely further a relationship with each other without the career trainee restrictions holding them back. For Moxley, it gives him the perfect opportunity to give her a kiss without anyone they know witnessing it. As for Moore, she can clearly tell what he wants to do by the way he's look at her. However, as much as she wants to give in to her urges she holds back and instead does something that he wasn't really prepared for while standing in front of her. She punches him in the stomach in a hard but playful way.
While doubled over in a bit of pain, he gets the following words out. "What the hell?"
"Sorry." she remorsefully retorted expressing a slight cringe to her face. "I thought you were going to jump back. You know because that's our thing." she vaguely explained.
"Our thing." Moxley painfully repeated bent over. After a few moments, he stands upright shaking his head. "Does our thing involve me always getting beaten up?" amusingly questioned Team 3's leader quirking his right brow towards the diminutive woman.
It's at point, Moxley steps forward with his right hand massaging the area of his stomach he got hit at by Moore. As he begins walking, the only female of Team 3 speaks up in a more flirtatious way. "Do you want it to be?"
The question Moore throws back at him causes Moxley to briefly stop for a second. A momentary mischievous grin is expressed as he peers down at her. In his mind, he so wants to answer that particular question but he makes the decision to change it in a somewhat different direction. "Do you think our thing will ever compare to The Bartowski's thing?" he asked stepping forwards once again.
"In what way?" questioned Moore walking side by side with Moxley.
"Those two have gone through hell and back in order have a normal life together. A normal life that includes a baby and without being in the business any longer. Now, what we do. What we voluntarily signed up for…" he said shaking his head thinking about it. "…and the life we've chosen. The spy life." Moxley pauses for moment as he continues walking. He then continues on with his thought. "Can we make it work?"
Moore ponders that particular question as the two of them make their way out to the front area of the medical center. The front entrance of the building is located to their left. Moxley is about to head in that direction but he feels himself suddenly stopped. The reason. The same female who playful punched him in the stomach a few moments ago grabbing his right hand in order for him to face her. Once he does, he clearly witnesses a soft smile expressed towards him to the point where she reaches up with both hands and pulls his face towards hers. She gently kisses him on the lips and then looks deeply into his yes.
"I'm all in if you are?"
Moxley simply responds with a smile. As the two former career trainees now newly appointed agents revel in their mutually agreed upon "thing", something or should I say someone gets the attention of Moore. That someone is Colonel Casey emerging out of the front entrance of building.
"Colonel Casey?" she muttered out loud.
This leads to the two agents to look at each other then head towards their now former instructor to investigate. It doesn't take long for them to reach Casey as he stands in the same exact area where they pulled up in The Farm's shuttle.
"Colonel!" hollered Moxley waving his right hand as the two approach the grizzled military vet.
It's that same grizzled military vet who glances over his right shoulder visually acknowledging their presence. Of course, the expression on his face speaks volumes for the two of them. They've been used to it by now since the start of their training at The Farm. While standing there with his arms crossed, Moxley and Moore stand off to his left wondering why he's out here.
"Who are you waiting for?" inquired the Moore. To her, there is already a large enough group in the waiting room. Yet, she can't help but think the more the merrier in supporting the Bartowskis if that is case.
"Them." answered Casey turning to his head to the left and pointing.
Instantly, the fresh new agents turn their heads in the direction where he pointed. In doing so, the two witness a number of dark S.U.V.'s heading their way. From Moore and Moxley's vantage point, they see what seems be a total of at least 4 or 5. It's not long before, the lead dark S.U.V. stops in front of the 3 individuals with the rest of the contingent following suit as well. While standing there silently next to Casey, the two watch as all the individuals emerge out of the S.U.V.'s to the point where the hulking NSA Agent acknowledges their presence.
"Any problems getting here?"
"None. So, am I an aunt yet Casey?" Ellie firmly stated expressing a smile of relief towards her long time neighbor.

"How are you feeling Mrs. Bartowski?" asked Dr. Wong standing at the foot of her bed once again.
Sarah grimaces in pain as she breathes heavily attempting her breathing exercises to alleviate the pain the best she possibly can. True, the ice cubes helped take her focus off the pain but not anymore. "It hurts. Really hurts." she answered gripping tightly her husband's left hand this time.
"Yes…" chimed in Chuck grimacing in pain as well. "…it certainly does." he added experiencing relief as his wife eventually loosens her grip on his left hand.
It's at this point, Dr. Wong takes a moment to examine the chart taking a look at the updated vitals concerning her labor pains. Afterwards, he looks both of them directly in the eyes with absolute seriousness. "Mrs. Bartowski, you are now dilated at 9. You contractions are 1 minute apart now. It is my feeling that we should prep you to have your baby. Are you ready?"
"Not really." answered Sarah expressing a mixture of amused fear in her voice.
"Hey." stated a nervous and freaked out Chuck. "We're in this together. You and me." he added flashing his oh so familiar Bartowski smile.
"Whatever you do, don't leave my side." requested the soon-to-be mom.
"Never." he softly retorted rubbing the top of her left hand with his left thumb.
For Sarah, just the way her husband said the word "never" made all the difference in the world for her. She knows the pain will intensify to the point where curse words will possibly spew from her mouth. As much as she wants to apologize beforehand for doing it, she feels she has every right to even though Dr. Wong may have heard every curse word in the book and then some from all the deliveries he's been a part of. Yet, what makes her feel even better despite all the pain she's experiencing right now, is the gentle kiss he just planted on her forehead then on her lips. Once she locks eyes with him, the all-out fear she's finding herself experiencing partially subsides leading her to not only express a soft smile of her own, but attempts to make light of the situation.
"Try not to faint."
"I make no guarantees babe." replied Chuck in amusement.
It's not long before he and Sarah, watch as Dr. Wong instructs his nursing staff to make the necessary preparations for the delivery of baby Bartowski. This leads some of the nursing staff to head out the door to the possible location of where Sarah will actually be delivering the baby. For Chuck and Sarah, they are witnessing chaos but in a controlled manner all directed by a very experienced doctor who they know is looking out for not only their best interests, but their child's as well. Their attention on Dr. Wong would suddenly be focused on a wheelchair brought in by one of nurses.
After carefully helping Sarah into it, Chuck kneels down beside her and reassures her everything will be okay evident by the way he's rubbing both her left leg and left arm. For Chuck, even though he's completely freaking out inside knowing that in a few moment's he'll be in the delivery room helping his wife deliver his baby he looking forward to meeting his little boy or girl. For the two of them, there is absolute unspoken conversation within just a few seconds of looking into each other's eyes. Unfortunately, that unspoken conversation would be abruptly broken up by the sound of one the nurse's voices.
"It's time folks."
Their attention on the nurse is avert to Dr. Wong standing beside her. "I'll be there shortly." stated Dr. Wong with a nod.
Chuck nods then takes a moment to once again rub his wife's left leg. He then leans in whispering in her right ear. "Let's go have ourselves a baby."
The lanky business owner rises up from a kneeled position and in doing so witnesses a comforting smile appear on his wife's lips. A smile that speaks volumes. Afterwards, Chuck takes his position behind his seated wife and reaches down to grip the handles of the wheelchair. Once he does, he pushes her towards and out a propped open door to where they are escorted to the delivery room.
