I shifted with a small groan, cuddling into the warmth of the blankets more when cool air nipped at the back of my neck. Opening my eyes slowly, I blinked to adjust to the golden light streaming through the extremely small window situated high up on the wall.

As I glared down the window and cursed its strange existence, I felt someone move behind me, an arm tightening around my waist. My annoyed shuffling froze, the previous night rushing through my head in disjointed images and moans. A hot blush slammed against my cheeks as Loki's thumb stroked my naked hip.

"Morning," I heard him murmur faintly, his voice thick with sleep.

I relaxed more in his grip, twisting to face him. "Good morning," I corrected him lazily, looking into bright green eyes.

He chuckled, blinking back at me. "Can't argue with that," he declared, nuzzling his face into the crook of my neck and sighing.

"Tony's going to have a field day with this," I realised, feeling his cool breath tickle across my collarbone. Compared to the warmth of his body and the blankets, it was freezing and I felt goosebumps erupt on my skin.

Once again, he chuckled, his chest rumbling. "Well that, my dear, is not my problem," he informed me, tightening his grip on me and nuzzling in either further. "It's yours I believe, and if you think about it; he's going to be so proud."

I rolled my eyes and went to reply but a sharp knock on the door stopped me short. "Ms Romero, Director Fury wishes to see you on the bridge."

I shouted out an affirmative, leaning back so I could shake my bed partner. "Oi, wake up," I commanded. "If I'm getting up then so are you," I told him, trying to look him in the eyes.

He muttered something incoherently. "With that logic," he grumbled. "If I'm not getting up then neither are you."

I grunted and tried to wiggle out of his suddenly ironclad grip. "Don't you twist my words Mr. Odinson," I yelped helplessly, squirming and lashing out in hopes he would let go.

He shrugged with a muffled bout of laughter. "God of lies," he reminded me. "What did you expect?"

I scoffed and continued to wiggle madly. "Well?" I barked, whining under my breath when the grip didn't let up. "Let... me... go!"

He sighed, the sound causing his breath to fan across my face before he let go suddenly, making me fall from the bed. I spluttered and tried to untangle myself from the white sheets, wondering how the hell they'd managed to wrap themselves around my legs so completely.

"Well, since you asked so nicely," he murmured as he sat up, running a pale hand through his inky black hair.

I glared at him from under my dark hair, pursing my lips and blowing it from my face impatiently. "You – ah – well, I say!" I stammered indignantly, finally managing to push to my feet. The sheet fell from my body and I almost blushed as emerald eyes raked a path over bare flesh. "What are you looking at?" I demanded.

He looked up at me, wearing his infamous smirk. "Oh, nothing I haven't seen," he murmured, sitting up straighter and stretching languidly. "Or tasted for that matter."

I blushed heavily as he stood, wandering over to me and lifting my chin. "Perhaps we should dress and go meet the director on the bridge," he suggested, placing a soft kiss on my lips.

I made a small humming noise, leaning into the contact before pulling back and searching the room for my clothing. The gym clothes from yesterday were thrown about the room, but I stepped over them and grabbed my new uniform. "I like your costume," Loki murmured, already dressed and sitting on the edge of the bed. "You suit leather much better than I do."

I shook my head. "Not even close to it," I announced, slipping my legs into my boots. "Ready to go?"

He nodded, pushing to his feet as one hand came away from his body, reaching out for me. I smiled and placed my hand in his before tugging him towards the door, unlocking it with my free hand.

We chatted idly as we walked, both interested in knowing what the other planned on doing once this was all over. I admitted vocally that never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be walking hand in hand with the god of mischief as we talked about having a holiday after saving the world from an evil alien race.

We then both admitted that it was quite the mouthful.

Laughing as we wandered into the bridge, I realised that nothing could make me happier today no matter how good it was. Of course, once witnessing who stood next to the director, I realised I'd been wrong before.

"Diego!" I screamed, letting go of the cool hand in mine and sprinting towards my older brother.

Diego laughed warmly as he caught me, swinging me about in a full circle. "Bonita," he yelled right back, putting me down before looking me up and down. "My little sister," he cooed, cradling my face in his hands.

I snorted and pushed his hands away. "Oh please, I'm taller than you," I replied in our native tongue, admittedly a little rusty compared to his flowing words. Natasha chuckled and I turned to her, confusion clear. "You know what I'm saying?" I questioned.

She nodded, waving a hand. "I have to know a lot of languages," she reminded me. "Including Spanish."

Tony clapped his hands once, looking between us. "Good then," he started. "Translate."

Natasha only glared, sighing loudly. "Don't you like, own Google?" she demanded tiredly.

I rolled my eyes at the bickering before turning back to my older brother, looking him over sceptically as he raised a brow. "Your friends?" he asked me quietly.

I nodded. "Not a word, Diego," I warned him softly.

He chuckled, raising his hands in the universal gesture for surrender. "I said nothing," he pointed out. "Don't send me to the firing squad just yet."

I snorted again. "Key word being yet. You'll say something sooner or later..."

He nodded in clear agreement, smiling before looking around the group of heroes who had now erupted into a full blown argument. Diego chuckled at the topic – which search engine was better – but the smile faded when he noticed the dark haired god standing amongst them.

"Is that the nutter that tried to take over the world?" he asked carefully, pulling me closer to him.

I stiffened, absently clearing my throat. "Brother, that was ages ago, he's a part of the team now," I argued nervously, smiling at him warmly and hopefully dropping the subject.

Subject wasn't dropped.

"I still don't like him," Diego revealed. "Converted to our side or not."

My cheeks twitched in irritation and I raised my voice, much like I had when we were younger. "Now you listen here, that man has done some horrible things, that I know but what the hell do you think I did all those years ago? Played a friendly game of hide and seek with those men who were chasing us?"

"Olivia..." Diego started.

"I killed them," I reminded him quietly. "And I slept like a baby afterwards. You know it and I know it so stop hiding behind your fucked up sense of morals and put up with it. Everyone in this room has committed the ultimate sin, including you, so what makes you think you can judge anyone here?"

My voice had steadily grown in volume, and the red headed woman had turned to us both, eyebrows high on her head. She let out a loud whistle as my brother stared me down, emotions flickering behind his eyes.

"You slept with him didn't you?" he asked simply, sighing loudly.

Natasha snorted with laughter, nodding frantically towards the older male. Diego made a noise before turning to me, bestowing upon me his rare disappointed look. "I don't know what to say, little sister."

The red headed woman stopped laughing, realising that this wasn't exactly a humorous subject. She shifted awkwardly on her feet in the silence, looking between the god and then myself and my sibling. Diego looked down before sighing, his eyes lifting to meet my own.

"I never thought I would say this, not to you, but I'm extremely disappointed. That man attacked your home, and killed hundreds of people, but here you are not only defending him... but taking him to your bed?"

I hated the low tone he used and blinked back tears, dropping his gaze. "You have nothing to be disappointed in brother. That man who attacked our home? He happens to hold my heart. If you dare ridicule me for who I love, if you dare to judge me? You can turn around and get your ass back into the military," I voiced with more power than I felt.

I could practically hear him grinding his teeth together, but he nodded nonetheless. "I still don't like him," he grumbled.

I smiled weakly before hugging him with one arm. "You'll learn too. If the people he attacked have learnt too, it can't be so hard," I murmured sarcastically.

Diego made a pained noise. "But he looks funny!"

Laughing briefly, I covered it with a cough. "Loki does not look funny!" I breathed out, shaking my head as the red headed assassin joined in.

"That's your opinion," she pointed out between giggles.

I narrowed my eyes at her. "He does not," I insisted, switching back from my native tongue. English fell from my tongue better anyways.

Diego only shrugged. "So far, dear sister, it is two against one," he announced smugly, patting my back in comfort.

"But... you – that's not fair," I started loudly.

Natasha raised a hand, effectively halting my arguments before they could really begin. "Admit it Olivia, to everyone but you Loki does look funny," she sniggered, telling the others what we were arguing about.

Loki snorted, crossing his arms. "I do only care about her opinion," he reminded us. "You are aware of that correct?"

Thor started to laugh loudly, clapping his brother on the back. "I do not think her brother is fond of you," he boomed. "How strange it must be for you, to have someone disliking you..."

Loki spluttered. "Everyone likes me," he argued quietly.

Diego spoke up, cocking a brow. "That's a bit of an exaggeration, don't you think?" he asked.

Loki took one look at my brother, before turning to his own. "Maybe not everyone," he admitted, causing a small round of laughter to pick up.

Diego only looked him up and down before turning to the director. "Director Fury, may I request as to why you brought me here?" he asked, standing at attention.

Fury nodded. "Your sister is part of the elite group known as the Avengers," he said inclining his head slightly. "We have been informed that an alien race has waged war on Earth, and they happen to be on their way here," he announced grimly.

Diego's eyes widened, but his face fell into an emotionless state. "That is not what I was expecting, sir," he admitted honestly.

Fury nodded. "Olivia has requested you stay here for your own safety," he explained further.

Diego's eyes flared for a second, snapping to me. "I do not need protecting, and my little sister knows that," he growled out, relaxing into an at ease posture.

Fury shook his head. "You misunderstand," he started, lifting a hand. "Anything precious to the Avengers ais to be brought here for safe keeping, despite the ability to protect oneself. You are something precious to someone here, and you are a warrior; you can protect the others," he stated firmly, showing there was no room for argument.

Diego nodded in respect, standing down and giving me a small smile. Fury nodded himself and turned to the blonde thunderer, beginning to discuss a few things. I only caught a few words; Jane, Asgard, along with a few names that made my head hurt.

I didn't know what a Sif was, but I decided I didn't want too.

I tuned out of the conversation when my brother tapped my shoulder, gesturing for us to take a walk. I smiled in response and nodded, making sure to vaguely show an agent I was leaving the room before we headed out the door and down a random hallway.

"What's on your mind?" I questioned after a few minutes.

Diego swallowed, shaking his head. "My little sister is going to be fighting aliens," he muttered, voice small.

I smiled weakly. "I'll be fine," I promised.

He shook his head firmly, looking down to me. "Aliens," he repeated, stressing the word.

I chuckled at his panic, rolling my eyes. "Yes Diego, aliens are going to be trying to kill your little sister," I echoed, sighing lightly and looking at a framed image hanging on the wall.

"Are you trying to make it worse?" Diego grumbled.

I raised my brows, nudging his side as I stared up at him. "I wouldn't have been chosen if they didn't think I couldn't handle the odd alien invasion," I pointed out.

He nodded. "You have a point," he murmured.

I offered up an admittedly pained smile, before leaning in for a hug, somewhat demandingly. He chuckled and hugged me back; leaning away as he looked up and down the long corridor we'd stopped in.

"So uh – where are we?" he asked.

I paled. "I can't find my way to the bathroom Diego, even if I have a map and a compass," I reminded him. "What makes you think I know the way back?"

He swore under his breath, looking behind us before back to the empty hall before us. "Damn, let's just wander until we find someone then?" he suggested, continuing to curse viciously under his breath.

I nodded and started to walk forward with an air of calm around myself, hoping my assurance would leak through to my brother. We caught up as we walked pointlessly, and I found out he was currently in a serious relationship – serious enough that he'd brought a diamond ring aboard to gain my approval. I asked as much as I could about her, and he seemed more than happy to tell me everything he knew and their stories.

He was yammering about their latest date when we ran into a grinning blonde god. "Ah Olivia," he stated happily. "Just the person I was looking for."

I smiled back. "Hey Thor, what's up?"

"Well," Thor started, falling into step beside us. "Fury's men have predicted that our foe will be here in two days time, so I will be leaving for home tonight, and hopefully returning in the next day. As the mad titan arrives with his army, we shall arrive with our own," he murmured, smiling over to me. "I am taking Jane with me because, despite the less than pleasant circumstances, I wish for her to meet my family. Loki is also accompanying me... He asked if he could take you."

I blinked in slight shock, but swallowed most of it down. "Why would he want me to come?"

Thor only smiled, studying me. "For the same reason I want Jane to come with me," he informed me gently.

My eyes openly widened and I swallowed again, going over the request in my head. The god wanted me to come with him to his home realm, despite only being together on the higher side of a week. It's not considered long in most minds, but I knew how I felt.

I paled as I remembered shouting at my brother, telling him that I loved the man I'd bedded despite his past. Natasha was fluent enough in my language to pick that up, and she'd told him, I knew it. So if Loki wasn't running in the opposite direction... he felt the same right?

I must have looked quite like a mental patient to my brother and the blonde god. The emotions on my face had rapidly changed from confusion to shock, then to pure horror before finally landing on happiness. Through the clutter in my mind, I understood why men always thought woman to be confusing... I'd just confused myself.

"Olivia?" Thor questioned. "Shall I tell Loki that you plan to come?"

I shook my head, licking my lips. "No," I muttered. Thor opened his mouth, no doubt to ask me why when I interrupted him. "I can tell him myself," I said with a small wink.

Thor mirrored my smile, taking my arm gently and practically running down a few halls, making sharp enough turns to cause whiplash. By the time I regained my right mind, I noticed I was back on the bridge with the others.

"Thor, Jane is on her way here," Loki announced, coming up to us. "Then the three of us may leave," he finished slowly, eyes flicking to me.

I pulled a face. "Three of us?" I questioned. "But I thought you said Jane was coming?" I asked innocently, moving forward to tap the end of his nose with sickeningly sweet smile.

Loki smiled. "I'll take it you said yes then," he realised, swatting my hand away.

I nodded before turning to look behind me. "Course, but before we leave, I need to go find my brother," I bit my lip. "I kind of forgot about him..."

Loki sniggered, pushing me towards the door I'd come in through. "Then off to Asgard?" he checked.

I nodded, yelling over my shoulder; "Then off to Asgard."
