I don't own Young Justice or any of the characters. I only own this story and the characters that are in none of the DC comics.
Kent Farm
September 4, 2016, 5:37
Connor awoke to the sound of the front door creaking open. The half-Kryptonian got out of bed, quickly dressed and went to the guest room Lara and Johnny had been staying in since they came to the Kent farm. Slowly opening the door, Connor peeked into the guest room. Lara was sound asleep on the bed, for once not haunted by the memories of the War or her parents. The sleeping bag Johnny had been using (he and Lara had gotten into a heated debate days earlier on who should sleep on the floor, and Lara eventually caved and took the bed) was empty.
Closing the door, Connor followed his ears until he reached the source of the soft breathing he had been following. Johnny had found a place to train out behind the barn. Connor watched in amazement as his son preformed incredible acrobatics assisted by levitation, telepathically manipulating objects as he did so. It was an incredible display of grace and power.
Abandoning caution, Connor revealed himself to his future son. Johnny caught a glimpse of the half-Kryptonian and instantly froze up. Everything dropped to the ground alongside the young half-Martian. Connor helped his son up, making a mental note to clean up the mess before his parents woke up. Johnny rubbed the back of his neck, avoiding eye contact with his father.
"What were you doing out here, Johnny?" asked Connor.
"I was training." quietly answered Johnny.
"Why aren't you training like this with the others? You're a lot stronger than you've been letting on. Lara said you were having trouble with your telepathy and telekinesis. From what I just saw, you're pretty good." complimented Connor.
"Concordia has been helping me with my telekinesis and telepathy, but I'm still not able to link that many people to my mind. She also got some of the Martian representatives to help me with my shape shifting and levitation." told Johnny.
"Concordia?" wondered Connor.
Johnny forgot that his father wouldn't know who Concordia was. Silently scolding himself, Johnny told his father about his friend who sat as an ambassador on the UEF Council.
"Concordia is the Genomorph ambassador on the UEF Council. You know her father. He was a G-Goblin named Dubbilex." spoke Johnny.
"Dubbilex has a daughter!" exclaimed Connor.
"He adopted Concordia during the War. It was during the Battle of Metropolis, about a month before I was born, that the Genomorphs revealed themselves to the public and started fighting back against the Enemy. The battle was lost, but Dubbilex and Concordia managed to get as many people—human and Genomorph—out of the city before the Enemy destroyed it. The Genomorphs joined the Rebellion after that. Dubbilex quickly became one of the Rebellion's greatest generals. He died defending a transport ship from an Enemy attack." explained Johnny.
Connor put one hand against the barn, trying to keep his balance. It took a few minutes for the information to clearly sink in. Even after all he had been told about the future the future League came from, there were still some things that happened that caught Connor off guard; Dubbilex's death and his old friend having a daughter, who was a leader of the world's government, being one of them. After letting the information sink in a bit, Connor returned to himself.
"We should probably get back inside. Ma will tan my hide if she finds out we've been out here at this hour." spoke Connor.
"Don't I know it? Grandpa was a soldier in the Rebellion, but he knows better than to question his wife." said Johnny.
The future father and son hurried back into the house before anyone noticed they had been gone.

Lara dodged to the left, avoiding M'gann's kick. Mother and daughter circled each other looking for an opening. Lara saw an opening in her mother's left and took the opportunity to strike. Unfortunately for the half-Martian, M'gann had purposely left an opening in her defenses. In less than a second Lara was on her back, M'gann looking down at her.
"That makes it an even seven wins for us both. Careful or I just might beat you." teased M'gann.
Lara got up, a playfully smile on her face.
"No one beats Lara Martha Kent and gets away with it. I want a rematch right now." demanded Lara.
"Next one declares the winner?" suggested M'gann.
"Sounds good to me." said Lara.
Mother and daughter began another sparring match. They lost count of how long they had been training. All that mattered to them was that they were spending time together as mother and daughter, as it should have been from the start.
