Chapter 21

It was a week before the much anticipated Halloween Ball, and a wave of excitement had overtaken the Hogwarts students, not only for the ball itself, but for the arrival of the special guests from the numerous other schools around the globe.

Ren, however, was dreading the day the guests were due to arrive, or to be more precise the guests from Durmstrang. She knew that she be expected to interact with them and play the model student who missed her old school dearly, but Ren had decided that she was going to make it perfectly clear that she preferred Hogwarts to Durmstrang, no matter how rude she may have to be throughout the process.

At that current moment Ren was sat in the Great Hall during break time with her dorm mates and James. The other three Marauders were all doing their own thing while James focused on wooing Lily, who was trying to pay attention to her Herbology notes all while James was flirting outrageously with her.

Remus had decided to go back to the Common Room seeing as he and Ren both had a free period next, Peter was accompanying the Hufflepuff girl he was trying to win over to the library, and Sirius had been kept behind by Professor Flitwick after bewitching all the Charms textbooks to fly around the room. He hadn't seen the problem seeing as he had been demonstrating the levitation charm, but Flitwick had insisted he stay behind. He was probably having a detention arranged at that very moment.

Ren herself was rifling through her school bag in search her Defence against the Dark Arts book. The Gryffindors had a lesson with Professor Mitchell last period, and Ren had decided to spend break time going over the essay that the Professor had set for them. However it looked like she hadn't packed her book in her rucksack, which would make double checking the information in her essay considerably more difficult.

"Fuck," She muttered to herself as she closed her bag and deposited it back onto the floor. "Does anyone have a Defence against the Dark Arts book on them that I could borrow?" She asked, straightening up and scanning her friends, hopefully.

Unfortunately each of the girls had left that particular textbook in the dormitory, each with the intention of picking it up during lunch time. James also declined, however his reason was that he had lost it, and by lost it he meant that Sirius had stolen it after losing his own.

"You could ask Padfoot," James said as Ren moved to put her essay back in her bag. "He's made a habit of not taking books out of his bag ever since he lost his original Defence book."

Ren smiled and nodded. She had been smiling a lot whenever Sirius was mentioned recently. She just couldn't stop herself, and it didn't help that ever since Sirius had agreed to go to the ball with her he had been extra touchy feely. It wasn't anything major or anything, he would just brush against her more often and little things like that, plus he was making a habit of sitting beside her whenever he could.

Ren knew that these little things meant nothing. They could have been mere coincidences, but she couldn't help but flush the tiniest bit whenever these things happened, and she didn't understand why. One week she had been perfectly happy with their friendship, and the next the very thought of Sirius made heat rush to her cheeks, and she hated this fact more than anything.

Why did stupid feelings have to get in the way and ruin friendships'? Ren didn't want to fancy Sirius, and she felt sure that he wouldn't want a relationship with anyone, least of all her. What annoyed Ren the most about these sudden feelings was the fact that they literally came out of nowhere.

Ever since Sirius had accepted her invitation to the ball Ren had felt these peculiar feelings begin to brew within her. They were almost foreign to her seeing as she had made a point over the last few years of not letting herself fall for anyone, least of all a womanizer like Sirius!

It had begun when the girls had been dress shopping. While she had been grateful to Sirius for pretty much saving her from Rosier without even realising it, she couldn't help but wonder if he had accepted purely on the basis of which she had asked. Maybe he actually had some sort of feelings for her. Maybe, just maybe, Sirius actually wanted to be her actual date.

Ren had to keep reminding herself that they were going to the ball as friends only, and not to get it in her head that there was anything else between them.

Still, that hadn't stopped her from picking a dress that she hoped Sirius would like. It hadn't stopped the warm, fuzzy feeling creeping into her stomach throughout the dance lessons as Sirius held her close to him. And it most certainly hadn't stopped her wanting to punch Chelsea Bradshaw in the face whenever she saw the blonde dropping obvious hints that she wanted Sirius to ask her to the ball.

However Ren did have to admit to herself that she felt a smug sense of satisfaction whenever Chelsea attempted to gain Sirius' attention. She had longed to rub the fact that Sirius was going to the ball with her and not Chelsea in the Ravenclaw's perfectly symmetrical face, but she managed to refrain from doing so.

The only people who knew about the situation were the other Marauders, seeing as they had been present when Ren had asked Sirius, Ren's dorm mates thanks to the fact that Lily could read her like a book, and Rosier. Ren had expected Rosier to blab immediately, but to her surprise he hadn't said a word. She suspected it was because he didn't want anyone to know that he had been rejected.

The Slytherin had been strangely calm with Ren throughout the last few weeks, acting as if the incident had never occurred, but Ren had no desire to relax and let her guard down around him. She was, however, grateful that Rosier hadn't said anything.

Although she knew everyone would find out eventually, Ren didn't want the news floating around the school before the ball. The longer it took for people to find out, the less time there would be for rumours about her and Sirius' relationship to form. With Sirius' reputation, everyone would simply assume that Ren was his latest booty call, and she didn't want the rest of the school to see her as a cheap tart that would spread her legs whenever Sirius winked at her, no matter what her feelings for him were.

That was another reason she despised the changing emotions she held for Sirius. She knew that she would never be able to have a real relationship with him, simply because he wouldn't want one. And even if, by some miracle, he did want a relationship with her, Ren doubted it would last.

Sirius revelled in having practically every girl he met fall for him, and he enjoyed the freedom his current position granted him with. He would simply not be able to resist all the beautiful single girls who would constantly throw themselves at him. He would get bored of being tied down to one girl and would eventually break it off so he could once gain enjoy the many other girls who would bend over backwards, or indeed forwards, just for one night with him.

Just like Will. It was all too familiar to Ren, and she didn't want to repeat the agonizing process. But even now, when Ren looked up to see Sirius entering the Great Hall, she doubted she would be able to help herself.

Ren quickly looked down as Sirius approached them, not wanting to seem like she had been waiting for him. She reached for her bag and pulled her Defence essay out once more. "You alright, mate?" She heard James ask, to which Sirius merely grunted in reply as he took his seat opposite her.

It seemed like Sirius wasn't particularly happy with whatever punishment he had received from Flitwick. Ren decided to leave it a few minutes before asking if she could borrow his book. It would allow him to calm down first.

So Ren began reading through her essay, occasionally flicking her gaze up in order to flash concerned glances in Sirius' direction. He had a face like thunder, and he looked as if he was about to explode with rage. Ren thought it would be best if she left it a bit longer before asking about the book. Actually it seemed wise to not ask at all.

"Is something the matter, Ren?" Sirius suddenly asked, venomously, causing everyone, including Ren, to look up in surprise. "I ask because you keep fucking staring at me." He added, glaring at her through narrowed eyes.

Ren couldn't help but gawk at him in shock. What the actual fuck? Sirius had never spoken to in such a way before. If anyone else had spoken to her like that Ren would have given them a piece of her mind, and quite frankly she saw no reason why she should treat Sirius any differently, regardless of her feelings for him.

"Excuse me?" She asked with furrowed brows, hoping she had just misheard him. She really didn't want to lose her temper with him but if he continued to speak to her so viciously then she would feel no shame in putting him in his place.

"You heard me," Sirius said, bitterly. "What. Do. You. Want?" he punctured each word with a sharp pause, and Ren felt a stab of hurt, anger and irritation with each interval.

"Padfoot, what the fuck?" James suddenly interrupted in a low voice. He looked truly shocked by his friends' actions.

"Stay out of this, James." Sirius said, not even removing his cold gaze from Ren.

"Well if you must know," Ren began, straightening up. "I was going to ask if I could borrow your Defence book, but when I saw that you were in a less that cordial mood I decided against it." She said, bluntly, her eyes blazing.

Feelings be damned, Ren was not going to let Sirius belittle her and treat her with such vexation, especially seeing she had done absolutely fuck all wrong! At her words, Sirius let out an indignant snort.

"Oh of course, you were going to ask me to do yet another thing for you." He sneered.

"And what's that supposed to mean?" Ren asked, incredulously. When did she ask Sirius to go anything for her?

"You know exactly what I mean," Sirius remarked. "I'm tired of you using me to make your life easier."

"Oh pray tell, when have I ever used you to make my life easier, Sirius? Go on, enlighten me."

"Did it ever occur to you that I might have wanted to go the Ball with someone else? Or maybe that I didn't want to go at all?" Sirius questioned, and Ren just stared back at him in shock. Seriously? This is about the fucking Halloween Ball?!

"Then you shouldn't have said yes, you fucking idiot!" Ren said back, her voice rising. By now they had attracted the attention of most of the Hall.

"Oh yeah, and then I'd be the bad guy!" Sirius snapped.

"I asked you as a favour, you didn't have to say yes! You had a fucking choice! That's the whole point of favours! And besides, I thought you were alright with this! You've been perfectly fine for the last few weeks!" Ren said, her control about to slip away completely. If Sirius wanted to be a frustrating little bastard then he better be prepared to deal with the consequences.

"Yeah well you thought wrong, Ren. I'm sick of doing your bidding-"

"-Doing my bidding?!"

"-So you can find someone else to walk over!"

Ren stared at the cold, harsh Sirius sitting before her. He had never treated her like before, and it hurt. But the rage that was bubbling within her overshadowed any amount of pain Ren felt. This was why she hated having feelings for people. They would always make you feel like shit and rip your heart out. Well Sirius could fuck right off.

Ren rose from her seat, the calm look on her face the complete opposite of how she felt on the outside. She knew that a peaceful expression always managed to make whoever she was arguing with feel nervous. After all, Ren had always felt that people who spoke quietly during an argument instead of raising their voices always seemed a lot more menacing and intimidating.

She picked up her goblet of water and slowly tipped the contents of it over Sirius' head.

She was oblivious to the gasps and whispers of shock coming from the people surrounding them. Sirius himself sat quite still, with his eyes closed and jaw clenched. He had only looked mildly surprised when the water hit him, but he made no attempt to move.

By the time the goblet was empty Ren had a satisfied smirk on her face. She placed the goblet back on the table and picked up her belongings. She then leaned in towards Sirius, who was staring up at her with a stony expression.

"Y'know what Sirius?" Ren asked him in a low, dangerous voice. "You can do whatever the fuck you want because I'm not going to waste my time on you any longer." She murmured, just loud enough for the others to hear. And with that, she gave him a bitter, cold smile before turning on her heel and making her way out of the Hall.

Whispers followed her but Ren paid them no mind. She was livid. Completely and utterly outraged. Her feet lead her back to the Common Room without even realising. "Looking-glass." Ren spat out once she had reached the Fat Lady's Portrait, and the painting swung open but not before the Fat Lady gave her a look of concern.

Ren entered the Common Room and was about to head up to her dorm so she could scream into a pillow, but then her eyes landed on Remus emerging from the stairway leading to the boys dormitory. He smiled, warmly, at her when he saw her, but then he took in the scowl and stiff body language and his expression morphed into one of concern.

"Ren, what's wron-" He started as Ren stormed over to him, but he was cut off by the brunette grabbing him by his robes and pulling him into her, her lips crashing into his. Ren didn't really feel like sitting down and explaining what had happened, and instead wanted to vent her frustration some other way, and what better way then to fuck it out? Poor Remus.

She pulled back bur kept their faces close. Thankfully there was no one else in the Common Room at that current moment.

"Upstairs now." She mumbled, and when Remus made no attempt to move she sighed. "Please." She added, and Remus gave her a wolfish grin. Ren saw that as a go ahead and took the werewolf's hand and dragged him up to his dormitory. Ren smirked to herself while she opened his door and pushed him inside before following him in herself. She slammed the door shut and pulled her robe off.

"Are you sure you don't want to talk about it?" Remus asked in a last ditch attempt to find out what was wrong.

"Positive." Ren answered before leaping into Remus' arms and wrapping her legs around his waist.

Sirius let out an irked sigh as he ran a hand through his dark hair. He was sat in Muggle Studies with James on his right and Peter on his left. James hadn't spoken to him since his spat with Ren at break time, and Sirius didn't really blame him.

He was angry with himself. How he had treated Ren was truly unacceptable. He had simply acted in the heat of the moment and taken his irritation out on her, and now he regretted his actions deeply. He had been perfectly fine when he had left the Charms classroom, completely unfazed by the detention Flitwick had given him, and had been heading towards the Great Hall when he had been waylaid by none other than Rosier...

...

"Might I have a word, Black?"

Sirius stopped abruptly at the sound of the cold voice behind him. He had been walking towards the Marble Staircase on his way to the Great Hall, but the unmistakeable voice was enough to put his journey on hold.

He slowly turned around and was met with the sight of Evan Rosier standing about two meters away from him. The Slytherin looked calm and collected, as per usual, standing with his hands in his pockets. Sirius regarded him with a quirked brow.

"What could you possibly want to have a word with me about, Rosier?" Sirius asked him casually. He had to admit he was rather curious as to what Rosier wanted, but he was in no hurry to indulge in a private conversation with the snake. Rosier gave Sirius a clearly forced smile before adjusting his stance.

"I just wanted to discuss the fact that you managed to acquire Renee as your date to the Halloween Ball."

Ah, of course. In all honestly Sirius had expected Rosier to try and talk to him about the fact that he had lost out on a date with Ren to Sirius. However he had thought that that Rosier would have made the effort much sooner. Yet here they were, just a week away from the ball. Oh well, better late than never.

"Jealous?" He asked, to which Rosier let out a low chuckle.

"You would love that wouldn't you?" He questioned, and Sirius shrugged.

"Obviously," He said. "But I doubt you would be the only one. Most boys would give their left bollock to be in my shoes."

Sirius knew it sounded bigheaded, but he wasn't exactly blind to the lingering looks a lot of the male population at Hogwarts gave Ren, and whenever he did witness a pre-pubescent third year or horny sixth year gawk at Ren, Sirius couldn't help but feel a pang of possessiveness within him.

"I'm sure they would," Rosier said, admiring the nails on his left hand. "But doesn't it bother you that she only wanted to go with you as a last resort?" He asked, to which Sirius snorted.

"And what makes you think that?" He folded his arms over his chest. Rosier placed his hand back in his pocket and focused his gaze on Sirius.

"Well it's obvious." He said, haughtily. "When I asked Renee if she would allow me to accompany her to the ball her face displayed obvious panic. Her eyes wouldn't meet mine and she took far too long to answer. It was apparent she was attempting to think of an excuse."

Rosier took a small step forward before continuing. "My guess is that she was most likely evaluating who, out of you, Lupin, Pettigrew and Potter would be able to take her to the ball. Seeing as Lupin, who was the obvious choice in my opinion, can't be in the presence of that lunatic, Meadows, without blushing, I'm assuming he's trying to pluck up the courage to ask her to be his date, so that put's him out of the running. Next there's Potter, and we all know how deliriously in love he is with Mudblood Evans, so he's off the cards.

"Then there's Pettigrew, and if his pathetic attempt to win over that Hufflepuff is anything to go by then he also has his sights set on someone else, meaning he wouldn't be able to be dear Renee's date. So that leaves you. The last resort."

Sirius clenched his fists at Rosier's words. "I wouldn't get it into your head that you mean anything special to her. It's obvious she fears real commitment, and that she wants nothing to do with you… in that particular sense of course. You'll never be more that a friend to her." He finished with a cruel smirk.

"How do you know that?" Sirius asked, indignantly, unable to stop himself. He knew that he was stooping to Rosier's level and playing his game, but the fury burning through Sirius had to ask. What made Rosier think he knew Ren like this? And what made him think he could voice all of this to Sirius?

What possibly made it worse was that Sirius knew it was all true.

Ren had only asked Sirius to the ball as a friend, no… as a favour. So she wouldn't have to go with someone else. Sirius knew she feared commitment, she had confessed it to him herself. Why should Sirius think he, of all people, could change that? Sirius hated commitment even more than Ren.

"Because it's obvious, Black." Rosier said, simply. "Ren will only ever see you as someone who can help her and make her life easier. Nothing more. If you don't do something to change that she will continue to manipulate and belittle you, just like all other women, and surely you, Sirius Black, who has never answered to anyone in your life, let alone a silly, little woman, don't want that?" Rosier asked with fake curiosity.

Sirius stood before him, his blood boiling. What if he was right? What if Ren had only befriended him so that she could reap the benefits? And what if she continued to use him to the point that he was so enamoured with her that Sirius wouldn't even question her? "Hmm," Rosier murmured. "Food for thought." He said before delivering a quick smile and brushing past a corrupted Sirius.

...

Sirius was furious with himself. How could he let Rosier, of all people, affect him like this? Maybe it was because the Slytherin had a point. Ren was indeed scared of commitment and had only asked Sirius to go to the Ball with her as a favour, and it didn't seem like she was going to change her views any time soon either.

But Sirius could completely understand Ren's attitude to relationships, seeing as he had had the same beliefs until she had walked into his life. He had firmly believed that to be in a relationship with someone was a waste of time. After all, why would you stick to one girl when you could have your choice of many? But then Ren had come along and changed all of that.

The moment he had first laid eyes on her Sirius had been captivated by her, and those feelings had developed into something Sirius never thought he would feel. It had got to the point where the very thought of the girl made his head spin. Sirius had never experienced feelings like this for anyone, and he wasn't sure whether that was a good or a bad thing.

However despite all of this, Sirius had still managed to treat Ren so horrendously earlier that morning, and now, as he sat trying to ignore Professor Burbage prattling on about radiators, he wad beginning to hate himself for it. He didn't blame Ren for pouring water over his head, in fact Sirius thought he deserved a lot worse than that.

He had been well and truly foul to her and all because Rosier had ruffled his feathers. Now he was having to deal with the consequences. He had pretty much turned Ren feral and made her storm off somewhere, as well as caused James to ignore him. Sirius knew that James could be an arrogant sod towards most people, but when it came down to it Mr and Mrs Potter had raised a gentleman, and James had never verbally attacked a woman in the Sirius had today.

Sirius could sense that James was extremely disappointed in him, perhaps just as much as Sirius was in himself. He couldn't take it. The classroom was becoming increasingly stuffy and he needed to get out of there. He let out another frustrated sigh and threw his hand up in the air.

"Now as well as radiators, Muggles also use electric heaters which- oh… yes Mister Black?" Professor Burbage looked confused upon noticing Sirius' raised his hand. Sirius Black had never his hand in her classroom before.

"I have a migraine." Sirius said. "Can I go to the Hospital Wing, please?"

Maybe it was the fact that he looked truly miserable, or maybe it was just because he had said please, but something compelled the Professor to nod and grant the student permission to leave.

"I- Of course, Mister Black."

Sirius rose from his chair abruptly and left the classroom before she could change her mind. Although Sirius' head was indeed beginning to throb, he had no intention of going to the Infirmary. Instead he headed towards Gryffindor Tower where he could simply fall into bed and sleep.

At that current moment he loathed himself with every fibre of his very being. How the fuck could he have said such cruel things to Ren? She was the only girl who had had any sort of effect of him, and he had cut her up with just a few harsh words.

Sirius had hurt girls before in the past, he knew this, and he had never really felt particularly bad about it, but now he was absolutely furious with himself and he was determined to put things right. But how could he do that? He remembered the look on Ren's face when she had said her final words to him before departing, and Sirius felt sure that she wouldn't want to so much as be in the same room as him, let alone talk to him.

Sirius trudged along the Fat Lady's corridor and when he reached the Portrait he muttered the password before climbing into the Common Room. As he made his way up the stairs towards his dormitory Sirius wondered what would happen if he couldn't fix his friendship with Ren.

Although Sirius knew that his fellow Marauders loyally stick by him, Ren had become a part of each of James', Peter's and Remus', in particular, life's, and he knew that they would feel conflicted about her and Sirius' situation. They would want to spend time with Ren as well as Sirius, but maybe Ren would still spend time with the Marauders and just ignore Sirius.

Sirius was so immersed in his thoughts that he didn't notice the erratic gasps and moans mingled with the dull creaking of bed springs coming from his room until he was standing directly before the door, his hand resting on the handle. He paused all of a sudden. What was that? Well actually he knew exactly what it was, but didn't know who was responsible for it. Everyone was in lessons except for… Oh God.

Before he could help himself, Sirius turned the handle and pushed the door open, and at that moment everything seemed to move twice as slowly.

There was the beautiful Ren right before him, kissing and moaning on top of none other than Remus Lupin, who was thrusting forcefully up into her. Sirius felt like he had been punched in the gut. The couple didn't notice him straight away seeing as their lips were locked in a fierce embrace, so Sirius just stood there, completely dumbfounded, for a few moments as the two bodies moved in tandem under the sheets.

It was only when Ren pulled back, causing the sheets to fall to her waist and giving Sirius a view of the most glorious pair of breasts he had ever seen in his entire life, did she notice Sirius, and her expression changed form complete ecstasy to one of pure horror in just a second.

"Shit! Jesus Christ!" She cried in shock, and immediately tried to detach herself from Remus, who, at her exclamation, followed her gaze and bolted upright in fear.

"Oh shit! Sirius!" He spluttered, and at their sudden movement Sirius snapped out of his stupor and tried to look away as Ren began to scramble for the clothes that lay beside the bed while trying to cover herself with the sheet that Remus was also gripping onto.

"Sorry, I- I just-" Sirius began to stutter as Ren pulled on a pair of knickers and then threw her school robe over her naked body. She flashed a quick look at Remus before hurrying towards the door, the rest of her clothes bundled in her arms, and brushing past Sirius and down the stairs.

Sirius slowly turned to Remus, looking completely crestfallen, who was hurriedly pulling up his trousers. "I…" Sirius began and took an unsteady step back and bracing himself against the doorframe. "… What?" Was all he managed to get out.

"Look Sirius, it's not what it looks like-" Remus tried to reason in a pleading tone, advancing towards his friend carefully.

"Oh-oh really?" Sirius choked out, managing to find his voice, while looking at his friend incredulously. "Because to me it looked like you were fucking the only girl I-" Sirius suddenly stopped himself. He turned away from Remus and took a deep, panicked breath. Did Ren and Remus have a thing? Were they secretly a couple? How long had this been happening? Sirius suddenly felt quite sick. He stumbled backwards, slightly, and Remus was quickly at his side, steadying him.

"Sirius, please just let me explain." Remus pleaded as he guided Sirius to his bed and sat him down, taking a seat beside him. Sirius was breathing deeply, trying to make the light headed feeling go away.

"Explain? Explain what? How you've been seeing…" He couldn't say her name without the fear of throwing up. "-her without telling anyone?"

"We're not seeing each other," Remus said, and Sirius turned to him in confusion. "We're just… Friends with Benefits." Remus added, quietly.

"I… you… what?" Sirius was in shock. Remus? Friends with Benefits? He didn't know whether to be relieved that it wasn't anything more serious.

"Friends with Benefits?" Sirius only managed to ask. He wouldn't have ever expected that from Remus, and he didn't quite know how to react. Yes, seeing the only that he had ever had any sort of feelings for and one of his best friends in bed together had felt like someone was hammering nails into his heart, yet he wanted to hear Remus out. He wanted his friend to justify it.

"Yeah, we have been since the summer." Remus answered, his voice remaining hushed. Sirius swallowed and nodded. Throughout the whole time that Sirius' feelings for Ren had taken to develop she had had a secret… relationship going on with Remus.

However Sirius realised that he couldn't exactly be angry with either of them seeing as he had never made his feelings known. That didn't stop it hurting though. "We were planning on stopping though."

"Why?" Sirius asked.

"So no one got hurt." Remus said, sounding sheepish. Sirius said nothing, but he could feel Remus' gaze on him as he looked at the floor. "Oh my God," The werewolf suddenly breathed, in what sounded like realisation. Sirius continued to stare at the floor, his hands clasped in his lap. He couldn't bring himself to look at Remus. He didn't want Remus to say it. The moment he said it Sirius wouldn't be able to deny it any longer. "Sirius, do you…" Please don't, Remus. "Do you fancy Ren?"

Sirius took a deep breath and closed his eyes before nodding. There was a long pause as Sirius continued to take deep breaths. It was true. He fancied her. Sirius Black fancied Ren Gallagher. As the wave of realisation crashed down upon him Remus placed a hand on Sirius' shoulder. "I- I'm sorry you saw that." He said. "If I had known that you… I, I wouldn't have ever…" He trailed off as Sirius sat up and opened his eyes. He forced himself to look and Remus and gave him a weak smile.

"It's not your fault." He said. "No one knew." Remus still looked guilty.

"Still, we should have been more carful. We should have…" He once again trailed off. "She just came in and was so angry I couldn't question her. I don't even know what was wrong with her." Remus explained, and Sirius let out a tired huff of amusement.

"That would be me." He said, and when Remus looked at him in confession Sirius began to explain. "When I was on my way to the Great Hall at break I saw Rosier, and he… he started talking about Ren. About how she's using me and that doesn't care about me at all. I-I was so angry, and I just… I took all of my anger out on her."

"I'm sure it wasn't that bad." Remus tried to comfort, but Sirius just shrugged him off.

"It was, Moony. I said some fucking horrible things to her, and now she hates me. I don't blame her though."

"Well regardless, I'm sure we can fix it. Ren cares about you, I know she does." Remus said, and Sirius let out a dry chuckle.

"I doubt that, you should have seen the way she looked at me before she left. She poured water over me." He said.

"Yeah well it serves you right for letting Rosier, of all people, influence you, you dick." Remus joked, and Sirius smiled.

"I know, but now I've ruined everything. She's not going to ever want to speak to me again, or go to the ball with me now." Remus sat up and gave Sirius a determined look.

"Well the ball is a week away which means we have a week to fix this." He said, and Sirius stared at him.

"Moony are you making yourself my wingman?"

"You bet your arse I am, Padfoot. We can't have the only girl you've ever cared for hating you now, can we?"

SIRIUS FINALLY FUCKING CONFESSED IT! THANK THE LORD! But he was still a complete dick to Ren, will he be able to get back into her good books? You will have to wait and find out;) There's also been development in Ren's feelings too, but will they last after how Sirius treated her? Again you'll have to wait for the next chapter. Also Sirius totally cockblocked Remus! I'm kidding (sort of), but now that Sirius has found out I'm sure good old Remus will help his friend out.
Anyway, please please review and let me know what you think! Your reviews mean the world to me and I would love to hear about what you thinks going to happen. Thanks again for reading and let's hope the next chapter doesn't take as long :P
