Momotarou Mikoshiba was jealous. Like, super jealous. Like, so jealous that he didn't even notice that he'd ran into Rin until the two of them were on the ground.
Rin sighed and stood up, and Momotarou followed his lead, freaking out a little bit about Rin's chest, because it was kind of impressive, and kind of hot, and, hey, if he couldn't have one Matsuoka, maybe he could have the other?
Rin headed past him and went back to the water. Momotarou turned to follow him, all thoughts of his brother making out with the cutest girl in basically the entire world mostly out of his head. Instead, he focused on her brother, who was starting to give him some weird looks because of the staring.
Momotarou decided that these weird looks were better than nothing, so he leaped into the water with enough force that, once he landed, the waves knocked over Nitori, who, upon surfacing, sputtered and headed for shore. Momotarou beamed and zeroed in on Rin, who was circling around Makoto and Haruka like a shark. Momotarou didn't actually think he was doing this on purpose – he was just sort of moving whenever it looked like he'd been in the same place for too long, staring at the same people for too long, and it just sort of ended up being a circular movement.
Momotarou decided to go take his mind off of Haruka Nanase and Makoto Tachibana.
"Rin-senpai!" Momotarou cheered, coming at him from the left and hooking his arm around Rin's. "Come with me! Come swim with me and stop being creepy."
"Wha- I wasn't being creepy!"
"You're being kind of creepy, Rin-chan," Nagisa said. Rei nodded. Haruka looked at them like it was the first time he'd noticed that Rin was around him.
Rin scowled, and Momotarou tugged him to the other end of the water, eyes going to his chest several times. Rin didn't notice. He kept looking back to Haru and Makoto and, frankly, it was getting a little annoying. "Rin-senpai!" Momotarou said. He scoured his mind for something to say. Something that would tell Rin more about him. Something that would show Rin that he was totally worth paying attention to. He could like, list off his favorite things? That would work. That was a brilliant idea. "My hobby is collecting stag beetles! Do you want to see my favorite one? I brought it along!"
Rin broke his eyes away from Haru and Makoto to give him a look.
"My favorite proverb is-"
"Okay, please stop," Rin said. Momotarou shut up, though he couldn't help but bounce up and down a little bit. He hadn't quite let go of Rin's arm yet, and wasn't about to any time soon. Just like he wasn't about to stop staring at Rin's chest, because that was kind of an awesome chest. "What are you looking at?"
Momotarou managed to tear his eyes away just as Rin tore his arm out of Momotarou's grip. Momotarou watched him as he got out of the oasis to go find Seijuurou and Gou, who had disappeared, probably to go make out. Maybe him and Rin could make out, too, and then both the Matsuokas and the Mikoshibas would be gone and nobody would probably care.
Either way, he headed out after Rin with the full intention of kissing him at some point. Or maybe, like, grabbing his arm again and dragging him around, or something. Maybe he'd work up to the kiss. Maybe he'd work up with days and days of sexual tension before eventual making out.
No.
No, that was stupid.
He followed Rin for about two steps before Rin looked back at him. "What do you want?" he asked. He sounded slightly resigned, but then again, Momotarou was used to people speaking to him in that tone.
He hit a blank.
"What'cha doing?" he asked.
"I'm going to go punch your older brother in the face," Rin said, very plainly and very bluntly.
"Or you could get back at him by kissing his younger sibling," Momotarou said. Rin raised an eyebrow. Momotarou gestured to himself. Rin's eyebrow was in danger of escaping his forehead. "Come on. It'll be fun. Let's just try it out. I really like your chest."
Rin looked started, and Momotarou, still bouncing on the balls of his feet, was seriously tempted to go closer.
Then Rin seemed to decide that he might as well, and Momotarou Mikoshiba was kissing a Matsuoka.
There was the sound of someone untangling themselves from making out with someone else and a "Hey!", and then Momotarou was being held back from Rin by his brother's arms around his chest. Momotarou wriggled. He definitely did not want this. He'd just been using the whole 'get my brother back for kissing your sister' thing so that Rin would kiss him. He hadn't actually wanted Seijuurou to show up.
"You're corrupting my little brother!"
Rin looked pointedly at Gou, who was smoothing down her hair and straightening her clothes. Seijuurou's arms tightened around Momotarou's chest.
"Let me go!" Momotarou said, trying to slip out from under Seijuurou's arms. All this accomplished was Seijuurou's arms around his neck instead of his chest and now he couldn't really breathe. "Ack!"
Seijuurou loosened his grip a bit and Momotarou slipped out of there like a wet sea otter. Which he kind of was, minus the fur part. He hid behind Rin, gripping his shoulders and peeking around him. Rin shifted a little, and Momotarou tightened his grip.
"It's love!"
"It's not," Rin said.
"Don't break his heart! If you're going to corrupt him, at least do it nicely!" Seijuurou said. Rin sighed and pushed a hand through his hair.
"It was so much better when I only had to deal with one of you," he muttered. "He said he liked my chest and to do it to make you angry and get back at you."
"That's about true," Momotarou said. He sighed and glared at his brother. "But if you get Gou, then I get Rin. It's only decent."
Seijuurou thought about it, crossing his arms for a full five minutes before nodding. "Fine," he said. "One Matsuoka for each of us."
"This is creepy," Rin said. He broke away from Momotarou and headed for his sister. "Let's leave. I feel weird about this."
"That was some creepy wording," Gou said.
Seijuurou stopped mid-thought and rushed to amend his previous statement. "I just meant-"
"No, no, it's fine, just a little creepy," Gou said. "And not really something I want to hear, so I'm going to go hang out with my brother now."
Momotarou watched two of them leave, wondering if he got Rin Matsuoka after all.
Did I use a random generator to decide which Samezuka boy went with which? Yes. Yes, I did.
On another note, I never thought I'd describe a POV as a 'bouncy trainwreck' but here we are.
