I hope you enjoy!
A couple days later...
James was playing a video game with his roommates at Harvard when there was a knock on his dorm room.
He paused it and said, "I'll get it."
He walked across the room to the door and opened it. He couldn't believe it.
"Daniella?" James said, confused.
Daniella shoved her way into the room, and started shouting at the other guys in the room.
"Get out!" She shouted. Startled, the guys quickly went out of the dorm room, leaving James and Daniella alone.
"What the hell was that?" James asked, angry.
Daniella smirked. "How to get rid of people you don't want overhearing." She said.
"Overhearing what? And what are you doing here?" James said.
"I'm getting to it. So, what do you have to drink?" Daniella said, taking a seat in a nearby chair.
James walked over to the mini-fridge and opened it. "Umm... we have soda, and beer."
"A beer please." Daniella replied.
"You're 17." James said.
"Do you think I care?" And with that, James tossed her one and got one out for himself. He took a seat in the chair across from Daniella.
Daniella opened her beer, and took a sip. "So, talked to Fallon lately?"
James sighed, and said no.
"So, that explains why you're growing a beard, and you have horrid hair." Daniella said.
"Gee, thanks." James said sarcastically.
"You're welcome." She said.
"And you're still as much as a bitch as you were when I last saw you." James said, taking a long sip of his beer.
"We have reputations to maintain, don't we? And I'm not a bitch, I'm just unpleasant to be around sometimes." Daniella retorted.
"More like all the time." James muttered.
"Do you want to know why I'm here, James?" Daniella asked, impatient.
"Why?" He said.
"Because, I'm here to talk about Tori and her new boyfriend." Daniella said, smiling as James eyes turned dark.
"Who is it?" He asked.
"Oh, it's Henry. You know, when you left and then broke up with Tori, of course Henry saw the opportunity and took it." She said.
James gripped his can of beer tight.
"I'm guessing you're not over her?" Daniella said.
James then stood up, and began to rant.
"No, I'm not over her! I shouldn't have broke up with her, and I didn't call her back, because I figured she wouldn't answer. I just had a bad day, and I didn't mean to yell at her, I just wasn't feeling good that day, and then she was saying she needed space, and I just snapped. I wish I could go back in time, I really do. I wish that we were still together, not her and that no good ginger."
Daniella said, "That's why I'm here. I have a plan."
"And what is your plan?" James asked.
Daniella stood up, in front of Henry, and said, "Tori's going to college soon. And it just so happens that I'm going there as well. So, you're going to go to Tori's dorm, convince her to dump Henry and get back with you, at it'll all work out!" Daniella clapped her hands together.
"What's in it for you?" James said.
"I get Henry. I'll go over it more as time goes on, but in the meantime, do you get what the plan is?" Daniella asked.
"Yeah, I think so. But what's so great about Henry?" James questioned.
"Have you seen his abs? And even though he's a ginger, he has great hair!" Daniella exclaimed.
"So you only like him for his abs and hair?" James said.
"Well, your hair is oily and hasn't been brushed, and I'm pretty you haven't worked out at all since Fallon dumped you." Daniella said.
"So, you're saying if I washed my hair, and worked out more, you would go out with me?" James asked.
Daniella took a step towards him.
"I thought you were still all sad about Tori?" Daniella said.
"I highly doubt she'll take me back." James smirked, taking a step towards Daniella, enclosing the space between them.
James leaned in to kiss Daniella, but Daniella shook her head and looked down.
"What?" James asked.
Daniella shook her head again, and then looked at him.
"We have to at least try to get Fallon to like you again, before we do anything. Together."
"That's the reason?" James asked, suspicious.
"Positive." Daniella said simply.
"No it's not." James said.
"Look, James," Daniella began, "The reason we didn't try again many years ago, was because of Tori. It only seems fair that you guys get to try again. Not us." Daniella said sadly.
"But Dan-"
"No, James. You deserve Tori. She has it all, basically. I'm just a bitch, remember? Who would want me?" Daniella now had tears in her eyes. Daniella walked towards the door, about to leave, when James stopped her.
"What?" She asked.
"It's just... I didn't mean to call you a bitch. It just-" James began, but Daniella interuppted.
"Slipped out, right? It always seems that it just 'slips out', doesn't it? Like I said before, we still have reputations to maintain, and part of mine is not to let others see you cry. It makes you seem weak."
"I-"
"People think that I'm a bitch. I don't try to be. But, once people say you are something, you slowly become one. I try to be all cool and act like I don't give a shit, but when I get alone, that's when everything comes falling down, and I realize what I am. A bitch." Daniella couldn't help it, and tears started falling down her cheeks, ruining her makeup.
"Don't cry." James said, tears forming in his eyes as well.
Daniella opened the dorm door, and before closing it behind her, she said, "Just call me when you're ready for the plan, okay?" She sniffled.
"Okay." James said, knowing that he couldn't say anything else that would help.
"Bye, James." Daniella said, and slammed the door behind her.
