Daughter of Sauron? How? Why? Why would my mother, a wonderful and loving woman, want to be with that monster? Why would she give birth to me? How could she give birth to me?

How? I ask him.

Your mother fell in love with me, much like how you fell in love with the dwarf.

How? You must have brainwashed her or something.

No. Your mother, exactly like you, was a daughter of darkness. She was the daughter of the Elder King, my old master: Morgoth. He raised her well in the shadow of darkness. I was one of his lieutenants. That is how we met. She was constantly with her father. I was always at her father's side. When he noticed our increase in attention for one another, he sent her away to become a witch. She eagerly accepted. When I saw her again, she was a full-fledged witch. Her father was incredibly proud and he had her lead an army into a battle. We won of course.

How could my mother have lived that long? No hobbit ever could.

Your mother was a witch. She cast a spell upon herself that would make her near immortal. She just couldn't get hurt by blade, or the spell would die and so would she.

Darling, Isabel, this day was destined to come. When your mother saw you could see your own future, she took that part of your gift away from you. She knew what was going to happen and did not want you to move on from darkness. Too bad, you already did.

I don't want to be dark!

Isabel, the dark is already consuming you, and once it does, it is near impossible to get out.

I will! I will get out!

You never will.

No!

I must have actually shouted 'no' at that because I hear Legolas in a terrified voice. "Isabel? Where are you?"

"Legolas! In here!" I shout from behind the wooden planks.

"Isabel!" He rushes over to me and yanks at the boards. After two boards are out, he grabs me and pulls me from the staircase. "It'll be okay." He whispers soothingly. "You'll be fine."

"I won't. I never will be." I start to sob, so he picks me up gently and carries me to a room with a plush bed. He places me down in it and leaves the room. He looks back one final time before leaving me alone with my thoughts.

A short time after, I hear an orc has been captured as they tried to attack the company and the guards defending them. Turns out, Kili was shot by an orc bow. The guards managed to chase off the orcs successfully and capturing one, but most got away. I wanted to see the interrogation they gave to the poor orc- What am I doing! I just called the orc a poor one! What am I saying! Well, I wanted to see it, so I sneaked in and hid behind one of the massive stone pillars. That is where I wait now.

"Why did you attack our guards?" Thranduil sternly asks the orc.

"You were tracking 13 dwarves as well. Why?" Legolas says.

"No. No longer 13. We shot one; the young one, the black-haired archer. We stuck him with a morgul shaft." The orc growls as he fights Legolas's grip. "He will be dead soon."

Tauriel whispered something to him that I could not hear from where I stood. I heard the sound of metal blade on leather, a soothing sound if you draw the blade, not the other way around. The orc shouted something, and I understood. "I do not answer to dogs, she-elf!" It shouted.

Tauriel shouted back, not two moments after, "Then let me give it to you!" I prepared myself to hear the creature scream in pain, but I hear Thranduil's commanding voice stop her and order her to leave. I hear her footsteps glide down the marble stairs.

There is a lot more talking as they not-so-nicely discuss Thorin and how he will never be king. The orc then goes on to talk about how Sauron will become the ruler of Middle earth. Thranduil sounds scared. Soon, "Call the seer!" rings through my ears.

"I'm here." I say, coming out of my hiding. "I wanted to hear if Kili and the others were alright."

Legolas gives me a calming smile, but it quickly disappears as Thranduil speaks. "We will talk about your insubordinate tendencies later. Now, I want you to look into the future to see what he says is true."

"I can't control my visions, but I can try." I say.

"It is true, mistress." The orc says in its kindest manner, which is not very kind. "I would never lie to you."

"Mistress?" Thranduil asks. He gives me a look that tells me all to well I am in trouble, so I hurry up with trying to see.

I place my small hand on the orc's orange, wrinkled skin. Slowly, my eyes close and I feel a rumble come from the body beneath me.

You will not see, but I will show you anyways. The voice I know so well says to me. And I see...

Everything burns.

Orcs run, trying to catch little hobbits.

They are slaves. Chained to each other at their necks.

Dark cloaked figures; nazguls. My father calls them.

A ring, no the ring. The one that told me I was a child of darkness. How right it was.

A creature. "My precious"?

You have seen enough. My father says to me. You tell the elf what you saw and tell him never to underestimate me, for it will end badly for the world. Farewell, my daughter. You are almost dark.

I gasp and quickly back away from the orc. I stumble and open my eyes just as I hit the floor. "Kill it!" Thranduil cries.

"No!" I shout back.

Both Thranduil and Legolas look at me. "Why not?" Thranduil asks me.

"Just trust me. Unless you want to anger-" I leave the question open in the air and Thranduil picks up what I try to say.

"You will never win elfling." The orc growls. "My master and mistress will take down this kingdom and your entire race with it."

"Mistress-" Thranduil ponders for a quick second before setting his glaring eyes upon my small body. "You! You work for him! You! Leave! Now, before I have to kill you!" He sends his sword towards the orc's neck. It makes a clean cut and the orc makes a pathetic gurgling sound before having his body crumple to the ground without a head.

"No!" I cry to the already dead orc.

"What should it matter to you! There are already others! There will always be others. Do you know what orcs are? They are elves! Elves turned evil! I will not have one of my kind be turned into an orc. Legolas! Take her to where the guards took the company. Then leave her and make sure she doesn't follow you back." Thranduil orders.

"Yes, father." Legolas answers.

"And make sure you give her all her things including the ones we gave her. I don't want any object contaminated by her evil here."

"Yes, father." Legolas grabs my arm and leads me out the great doors at which we entered. I never gave them anything, and the clothes I was wearing they burned. There is nothing else.

"Legolas." I say quietly.

"You can't be working with him." He just says.

"No. He's my father." Legolas turns to me in shock. "Somehow the orc recognized me. I don't know how. My father must have told him what I look like."

"You're not evil, Isabel." Legolas tells me reassuringly.

"No."

"No?"

"Yes. I- I think I'm going to do what my father tells me to do. After all, I am a child of the dark. Always will be, always have been."

And somewhere in my head, I hear, "Welcome to the dark side, my daughter."
