So I know it took me like forever to update, but classes and homework just keep piling up on me. But here I am, and with a new chapter! Yay! But, on a side note, I am sick, so if there's some errors, don't hold that against me. I did what I could.
This one is for BETHAN FOREVER. I hope you find it to your liking.

...
She walked slowly into town, nose turned up to the sky as she breathed in deeply. She cocked her head to the side slightly as she looked around her. With another deep breath, she broke out into a sprint as she headed straight for the town ahead of her.
Her nose wasn't wrong; she was in the right place.
…
"Yo Bro 1! My man!" David Stachowski called out as he approached the nerdy teen, a howl escaping his lips as he got closer.
"Hi David," Ethan said, surprised to see him there; he had disappeared for a bit after the whole 'were-dog' incident, but was now back. "What's up?"
"Well," David said, lounging against Ethan's locker and winking at girls who kept walking past, making them giggle. "I know you and Bro 2 are into the whole 'supernatural' part of Whitechapel, so I came to tell you-" David stopped midsentence though, his mouth hung open as he stood there, unmoving.
"David? You okay?" Ethan asked, staring at the hairy teen with worry. David didn't respond as he stayed there, eyes vacant. Ethan looked around, wondering if there was anything near them that could have caused this; nothing seemed out of the ordinary though; there were only a couple of students milling about in the halls, and a few walking away from them. Ethan looked back at David to see him still spacey. "Big guy?" Only after a minute did he let out a whine, shake his head, blink, then look at Ethan. "You okay?"
"Yeah… uh, what were we talking about?" he asked Ethan, rubbing his head nervously.
"Something supernatural?" Ethan quipped, making him whine again and shook his head.
"Uh… yeah… dunno where I was going with that…" David said, the confusion clear on his face.
"Okay… well if you remember, just let me know okay?" David nodded as another whine slipped out. Ethan patted him on the head before he quickly walked away, unsure what had just happened.
…
"He probably just got spooked by something; he is a dog after all," Benny said when Ethan told him what happened. Ethan shook his head though at his boyfriend's words.
"I don't think so… or if something did spook him, it was something big. It made him completely forget what he was going to tell me."
"So? He probably just wanted to tell us about some ghost haunting the bathroom or something."
"Benny."
"What? E, babe, you're obsessed with anything and everything supernatural. It's not healthy," Benny said, wrapping an arm around him. Ethan rolled his eyes and pushed him away.
"Yeah, but which of us has been on the serving end of pretty much every single supernatural catastrophe to happen to this town? Hmm? Can you blame me for being just a bit concerned?"
"I've been on the end of all those too," Benny said as he moved to hold his hand, "so yes, I understand where you're coming from. It was probably nothing though. You know David isn't the… brightest light bulb in the bunch."
"I know that… But still… I don't know. I just have a feeling that it was important."
"Then we'll keep an out, but don't just focus on it. There's better things to do."
"Like?" Benny wiggled his eyebrows and Ethan rolled his eyes. "Really?"
"I'm just saying."
…
She walked easily through the halls, eyes scanning for signs of the smell her nose detected; she had already stopped that pesky puppy once, and hopefully had befuddled him long enough that he wouldn't remember what he was about to tell the other one.
She knew she couldn't do anything while they were in this building though. So, turning on her heel, she made her way to the doors and made her way outside.
When the sky darkened with the light of the moon, her plan would begin.
But she would need some reinforcements first. At a brisk pace, she made her way quickly across the town and towards the bleary cemetery.
It would serve her well.
…
Ethan was at home now, typing away on his computer, when he heard a howl outside his window. Turning, he was surprised to see the sun already beginning to set; he was more surprised though to see David standing in his backyard. Ethan hurried to his front door and swung it open, finding a bouncing, whining David on his porch.
"What's going on?"
"Bro," he said, looking around him in fear, "I remember now."
"Remember what?"
"What I was going to tell you. It's about her."
"Her? Who's her?"
"Janelle."
"Who?" David charged inside, slamming the door closed. "Who's Janelle?"
"She's the worst werewolf I've ever met, and she's here."
"What?"
"In Whitechapel! I remember I was out last night for a run when I caught her scent; every were-being knows her scent. I was running, then I caught it, and ran home. She's not a force to reckon with. When I was about to tell you earlier, I caught her scent again, and I'm pretty sure she made me forget. The only reason I remembered is because I was out on a run again, and caught her scent again."
"Okay…Well what is she doing here?"
"I don't know," he said, whining with the last word as he plopped down onto Ethan's couch. "But whenever she arrives where she wants to be, it's never good. Plus, I heard she's not a normal werewolf. She's got powers that none of our kind could ever imagine."
"Why are you telling me?"
"Don't you remember? You were a werewolf once. You still carry the scent with you; not as strong as if you still were one, but it's still there. Who knows what she's doing here, but whatever the reason, you need to be careful. She usually seeks out her own kind. That's why I'm leaving tonight."
"What? Is she really that terrifying?"
"Yes," David said, scratching his ear nervously. "Be careful Bro. For your own safety." With that, he got up off the couch and ran out of Ethan's house. Ethan went out on the porch and watched him run away, a feeling of fear coursing through him. Closing the door, he made his way to his room to call Benny and let him know what he had just found out.
…
She raised her hands to the darkening sky, her eyes seeming to glow in the dim light.
"Raise for me, come to my aid; Rise from below, leave your graves!" she chanted out, watching as the ground below her began to shake and bubble up, pieces of Earth cracking and breaking free. She smiled as the first greasy, rotting hand appeared between the cracks. She watched as body after body came up to join her, their rotting, stinking corpses propelled by her chant.
…
"Okay, so if there is this scary, all-powerful werewolf on the loose, why would she come for you?"
"Because I still hold the wolf scent on me apparently," Ethan said, making Benny roll his eyes and nod.
"Okay. Why is she here?" he asked next, jerking his thumb at Sarah, who hissed at him.
"Because Rory was busy hunting and Erica told me to drop dead when I asked her for help."
"Uh-huh… but why?"
"Because vampires and werewolves are enemies B," Ethan said, rubbing his temples with his fingertips. "I need her here, just in case."
"What, am I, your spellmaster boyfriend, not enough protection?"
"You are," he said, shooting a tired look in Benny's direction. "I'd just rather be safe than sorry."
"Uh-huh…"
"Really."
"Okay." They were silent for a moment before Sarah perked up, her head turning to the window.
"You guys don't smell that, do you?" she asked, moving to the window and peering out. Ethan and Benny both sniffed the air, only Ethan's nose crinkling.
"What is that?"
"What? I don't smell anything?"
"Of course not," Sarah said as she came to an understanding. "Ethan only does because he was once a werewolf himself; I, because of my vampire senses. You're just human." Benny glared at her she smiled smugly at him; Ethan missed this as he moved to the window.
"But I don't smell wolf," he said, not noticing how Sarah was sliding a little closer to him. "I smell… dead."
"What?"
"Like death. Remember, I was the Grim Reaper for a while there too. That's what I smell."
"Huh, I only smell wolf," Sarah said as they continued to look out the window. "See anything?"
"No. You?"
"No."
…
She walked down the empty road, her new army following behind her at a slow, staggering pace. She knew why there was no one else around; humans could sense her presence and were automatically on high-alert to be anywhere but where she was.
They feared her, and with good reason.
She sniffed the air again, cringing when she caught the scent of dead blood. A growl bubbled up in her throat as the smell mingled with others; the scent of her own kind, and that of something she rarely smelled.
Power.
Hurrying, she heard the grunts of her army rush to keep up.
She wanted to see what smelled so interesting.
…
The three of them made their way outside, Benny following behind the other two.
"I don't know E," he said, completely ignoring Sarah, "But I've got a bad feeling about this. We should avoid whatever that is."
"No. It's obviously here for a reason, and we need to figure out what it wants."
"How smart you are, little one," a voice like bells said, making them turn to see a beautiful girl approach; she didn't look much older than them, with dark hair that cascaded over her shoulders and dark skin that seemed to glow in the dull light; she was slight of build, with long, lean arms and legs. "But I'm not an 'it'; I'm a 'she'," she said, curtsying. "And my name is Janelle." They could see that she was barefoot, clad in a high-wasted skirt and a scoop-neck shirt. She looked at them, eyes unblinking; her eyes were interesting though. They were red-gold, and wide-blown as she stared them down. "Now little one, tell me why you are associated with that?" she asked, pointing at Sarah, who hissed at her, fangs glinting. She growled before looking at Ethan.
"She's my friend. Why are you here?" She smiled and moved closer to them; that's when they saw the others behind.
A dozen or more crippling, staggering zombies were coming up behind her, their skin hanging out or completely gone in places, their eyes rolling around in their sockets, and arms outstretched, hands clawing at nothing.
"I see you've noticed my friends," she said, seeing the way they looked at them.
"Really? I thought we were done with zombies and werewolves!" Benny exclaimed, making her eyes fall on him.
"What is this?" she asked, sniffing in his direction. "How interesting… you smell like wolf, but I know there is no wolf in you… are you this little one's mate?" she asked, a laugh escaping her. "How foolish! How do you plan to repopulate the werewolf race with another male?" she asked, directing her question at Ethan. "Are you stupid?" Ethan glared at her for a moment before he spoke.
"I'm not a wolf."
"But of course you are; or at least, were. I can smell it. As well as the Power you hold, the death that clings to your skin, and the dead blood that once coursed through your veins. Quite an interesting life you've held little one." Ethan didn't respond to her taunts. "Let us make a deal then. You give me them to feed to my friends here… and you can live, and travel with me. I am always up to having new members join my pack. Of course, we'd need to change you just an itty bitty bit."
"No. I'm not leaving with you, or abandoning them." Her eyes flashed at his refusal before she snarled at him.
"Don't be a fool little one."
"What are you even doing here?"
"I travel around, looking for others like myself to join me, or just for tasty snacks. Either is a good option when it comes to me. I travel by my sense of smell. If I smell others in the area, I go in that direction. I raised my… friends, here, because I knew there was other things I needed to worry about before I could get to you. You should've ran with the dog, little one." Ethan braced himself, Benny by his side and Sarah a little in front of them. "But if it's a fight you want, then a fight you shall have. Although I am against killing my own. They'll take care of it for me, while I take on her." Her eyes shifted to Sarah, who hissed again. She just laughed before she began to change.
Where the beautiful girl had stood was now a large humanoid wolf-like creature. Standing at least 8 feet tall, it was a ferocious looking beast; it's long, clawed human-paws were perched on the ground; it was crouched, ready to attack.
"You should have listened to me little on. Now your friend and mate will die. All because of you."
Ethan watched as the wolf leaned its head back and let out the loudest howl he ever heard before it charged right at Sarah, teeth bared. Sarah was ready for it though, catching it as it crashed into her, making them both fall to the ground. Ethan turned from their fight as the zombies approached them, mouths wide open, rolling eyes aimed at them.
"E…."
"I know." The two boys backed up as the army fast approached them, snarling for the food that awaited them. Ethan watched as a blast knocked a couple of them down, making them turn to dust when the connected with the ground. Ethan looked at Benny to see his hand raised. "Where'd you learn that?"
"No idea. I just screamed the first thing that came to me. I didn't know it would work."
"Well keep it up!" Ethan cried, grabbing a stick from his yard to swipe at the ones that got close to him. He ended up knocking an arm off of one, making it fall to the ground and become dust. "Get them down! When they hit the ground-"
"They explode. Got it." The two boys continued their strikes, Ethan with his stick and Benny with his spell, knocking them out in ones and twos. Eventually, they were all down, leaving only piles of dust in the places. Benny sighed as he looked at his boyfriend.
"God, am I tired of zombies." Ethan shook his head, looking towards Sarah.
"We need to help her."
"I know," Benny said, sounding dejected. "Not that I want to. But I will. Even though you know she wouldn't do the same for me."
"Be the bigger person then B. Come on."
The two approached the snarling match that was going on between the vampire and wolf. Sarah's clothes were ripped in places, her hair wild; Janelle's fir was matted with blood and standing up in places. The wolf saw them and made for Benny then, leaving Sarah alone.
"I will kill him then little one. You will learn to pay for your ignorance."
"NO!" Ethan cried, pushing Benny out of the way. Ethan bit back a scream as the wolf's teeth connected with his skin. He pushed her off of him and took off after her as she ran from him. He ran after her, a strength overcoming him as he caught up to her. Pulling her by her tail, he yanked her back. She growled at him and pounced. Not sure where the strength came from, he pushed her off and began to push her until she was kneeling before him. "Leave here. Now. This is my territory. I will not join you, and you will pay if you come back and ever dare to lay a hand on him." She stared at him for a moment, too weak to really fight anymore. She slumped before growling.
"You win this round little one. But I will return, and you will join me, or die. Those are your options."
"Not unless I kill you first."
"Hmm, you will make a great addition. See you soon little one. Enjoy your mistake of a mate while you can."
Ethan watched her sprint off, a limp in her steps, before he fell to his knees and clutched his shoulder; he just began to realize the pain and the blood.
"Ethan!" Ethan looked up to see Benny running towards him. "You okay?" Ethan nodded and showed him his shoulder.
"Take me to your grandma to get this patched up?" Ethan asked, making Benny nod as he helped him up. He looked to see Sarah frown before taking off into the air and disappearing.
…
"So how come I'm not a wolf?"
"Because you've already had the cure," Grandma said as she poured something onto his wound, making him wince. "You won't change again. You're… immune."
"So what happened to me tonight?"
"Well… you do still carry the scent on you. I suppose a part of you, when Benny was threatened by another wolf, still carried some of the wolf tendencies with you. That's only a theory though."
"It seems plausible," he said as she bandaged his shoulder.
"That should do it. By the morning you should be all better."
"So, a wolf huh?"
"Apparently," Ethan said, grinning at Benny. "Only to protect you though."
"You a wolf bed too?" Ethan rolled his eyes and pushed Benny, who was laughing.
"Wouldn't you like to know."
…
