Chapter 21
- Rain's Point Of View -
We strolled through the airport, hand in hand. Domon looks over at me and smiles.
"What?" I say, the smile on my own face increasing.
"You're humming, swinging our arms, and practically skipping along. If you keep this up, they aren't going to let you on the plane on account of alcohol abuse!"
I punch him in the stomach lightly, and he jumps away. But he fails to let go of my hand, so I step towards him and curl my arms around his waist, pulling him close. He has a glimmer in his eye that makes me melt, that kind of innocent glimmer that I will never stop loving.
"I'm just excited. I'm going on a romantic vacation with you and only you. That makes me excited beyond belief." He kisses me lightly, and I rest against his chest as he squeezes me tight.
"Well, I think the airline will accept that much more easily than you being drunk."
I laugh lightly at that and step out of his embrace. We walk down the concourse until we reach gate B-9, and check in at the ticket counter.
"The flight will board within five minutes. Thank you for flying with us!" says the friendly clerk and I smile and thank her.
Domon and I don't bother to sit down, we wait for three or four minutes until the clerk announces that we were to board at this time. Domon hands the woman our tickets and we begin down the enclosed walkway. I take a deep breath and Domon looks over at me.
"Are you alright?" he asks, and the glint in his eye flickers concern.
"Yeah, just a little freaked at the prospect of flying."
The concern lessens, and he takes my hand. I give him a weak smile.
"Don't worry, we'll be there in no time."
We stop in front of the plane entrance, and I take a deep breath. I walk down the aisle briskly, Domon right on my tail. He points out our seats to us, and I slide in. There are three seats across, and I'm in the middle. Domon is on the outside aisle seat, and a middle-aged woman is in the window seat, a baby in her arms. I smile at the baby, and his bib informs me he's a boy.
As Domon stores our overhead baggage, I turn to the woman and give her a grin.
"Hello, I'm Rain Mikamura. Can I ask you you're name?" I say politely, and I can feel Domon's eyes upon me as he stops.
"Faith. Faith Halpert. And this is Ayden. It's nice to meet you Rain."
"Faith...what a beautiful name..." I say, meaning every word.
"Why thank you. I've never heard the name Rain before, and I can't say I don't like it either. I think it's quite attractive." Faith says, reaching for her bag. But the with the baby in her arms, she can't seem to reach down that far.
"Oh, here, let me help. I could hold the baby, if that's alright with you I mean." I add quickly, hoping I'm not being too pushy. Domon sits down next to me, brushing my arm.
"That would be a great help, thanks." She states and hands me the baby. I cradle him in my arms, and he stares up at me with these huge blue eyes. I stroke his face with a gentle thumb, smiling while I softly hum a lullaby. Again, I feel Domon's eyes on me, and I glance at him while the baby's eyes droop. He looks from me to the baby, nodding with approval, his glossy eyes telling me that a moment ago, he was a far way away from here.
"You're good at that." He compliments me, pointing to the now sleeping baby.
"Thanks." I say, trying to remain perfectly still.
"Yeah," I hear Faith interject, "you are. The poor bloke just drifted right off. Ah well, let him sleep till were up in the air, at least he won't cry during take off."
I nod without looking at her, staring off into space, thinking that maybe one day, I would have a child.
Maybe Domon's child.
"Oh geez, I think, jerking to consciousness, that came out of nowhere. We're not even married and I'm thinking about having Domon's kids. But, just as suddenly as I freaked out, I relax, and a slight smile comes to my face. Maybe that wouldn't be oh so bad. I would almost like to have Domon's kids, I mean, if we were married, and if we were ready for that kind of responsibility. Hey, yeah...maybe having kids...Domon's kids...wouldn't be so bad at all.
--Three Hours Later –
We step off the plane, and I take a deep breath. Domon turns to me, a look of true pride on his face.
"Rain, you made it!" he picks me up and twirls me around. I can't help but laugh as he spins, and when he sets me down, I can't seem to walk straight.
"Now I feel drunk." I exclaim and Domon laughs. He places his hand at the small of my back, guiding me gently until I can walk straight again. When I can, he lets me loose, and I long for his touch again.
"Now you two have a nice time!" I see Faith call to us and wave, "Don't let anything bring you down in this beautiful place."
"We won't! Good-bye!" I shout, and Domon gives a wave. I hook my arm in his and watch them walk down the concourse. Domon nudges me, asking if I'm ready to go. I nod, letting his arm loose.
We head down to baggage claim, pick up our stuff, and find the nearest rent- a-car center. When we have arrived, Domon places his hand in the small of my back, and I relish in his touch. But he doesn't let go, and I look at him quizzically. His eyes have a mischievous glint, and I just follow along, trusting him completely.
"I've got a surprise for you..." he whispers into my ear
I giggle and lean closer to him, wanting him nearer to me.
"Okay...here it is..."
We walk out, and there is a blue convertible sitting alone in the lot. I scream and run over to it, dropping my bags inside. Domon stays where he is, watching me with an entertained expression. I run back to him and jump on him, locking my lips on his. He catches me and twirls me around, kissing me back. When he sets me down, we continue kissing, exploring each other's mouth's, oblivious to all other beings. After we break apart, I look into his eyes, glistening now with love and passion. I give him a quick squeeze before gesturing towards the car. He smiles and nods. Domon puts our suitcases into the car, gets in beside me, and we drive away. I let out a whoop on the highway, excited for the future.
- Domon's Point Of View -
The resort we're staying at is beautiful, but somehow, I'm too distracted by Rain. I can't stop thinking about that baby she held on the plane. The whole motherhood thing was instant for her, like she had three children of her own already. I knew she would be an excellent mother. I wondered if she would ever bear children.
My children.
Holy crap...holy crap crap crap that was odd. Where did that come from? But then I realize, it isn't as if we hadn't talked about it before... I don't know, we'll se how things work out, won't we?
We check in, and I pocket the keys. When we drive up to the cottage, I take our suitcases and hand Rain one key. She opens the door to what is our new paradise. I leave the suitcases in the first room, completely forgotten, as we explore the cottage together. There is a huge kitchen, stocked full of everything we need. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room with couches and a T.V., even a laundry room. There is a huge front porch with rocking chairs, and in the back, there is a hot tub, hammock, and a screened in gazebo with a bed.
Talk about your heaven on Earth.
"Domon, there are three, well, really four bedrooms here!" Rain says standing in the doorframe of one of the bedrooms, astonished.
"Well," I say flirtatiously, "no one said you have to use all four..."
"Domon!" she says in a playful way and lashes out to punch me, but I catch her arm, the feeling of want growing inside me. I lower her arm slowly and take a step towards her, placing my hands on her hips. I press into her sides, and she takes a step towards me, never breaking my gaze. I move my hands around to her back, still pressing lightly, holding her close. And then our lips meet, and they meet again. A kiss full of longing and want, and I can't help but slide my hands up her shirt. She doesn't refuse; she just takes a step backwards, towards the bed. I kiss her again, following close behind.
"I want you..." I manage to whisper.
"Come get me..." she urges, and I follow her instructions. She's trapped between the bed and me now, furiously unbuttoning my shirt. When she's done, I break the kiss for a moment to look into her eyes. They are full of hot passion and pure longing. I tug at the bottom of her shirt, and she nods. I peel it off slowly, and she raises her arms as it comes over her head. Instantly, a wave of her beauty hits me. Her bra doesn't cover much, and it's making her breasts look huge. She sees the look on my face, and presses her curves into me, wanting to please me. I hold her there by pressing on her back, and lay her down on the bed, following soon after.
Our hands explore each other, wanting to know more, needing to feel each other's bare skin. I trace her bra line, noticing how Rain is so trusting of me; she would never doubt my ability to control myself. And she lets me have control. I can't help but awe at how this beautiful woman can find so much good and worthwhile in me.
Soon, socks and pants join the pile on the floor. I plant small kisses all over her body, even in the most sensitive parts. She lets out moans of intense pleasure, and grabs me by the waist, pressing me into her. Then, she slowly rotates her hips, thrusting her hips gently into me, causing me to groan as well. I roll on top of her and continue to kiss her, trailing my hand down her leg
Then I roll over and she's on top of me, kissing me gently and pushing softly against my chest. She tickles me, and I tug at the sides of her thong. She rolls her hips again, and I nearly loose my breath at how beautiful she is. Her soft curves tumble over me as I let my hands roam her body, taking in every inch. When I trace her butt and breasts, my body sends a signal for something to happen. Rain senses it too and stops for a minute. When she feels the obvious difference in my lower parts, she looks into my eyes with a slight smile and caresses my cheek.
"You wouldn't ever...you know..." she trails off, questioning my motives.
I run one hand through her hair and trace her back with the other.
"Never." I state solemnly, "I know how important you're virginity is to you."
She kisses my lips softly, and I smile at her.
"Alright. I trust you." She says. I beam at her, tracing the elastic band on her bra. Then our lips lock, and her mouth opens, willing me to open my own. I do, and she laughs, filling my cheeks with air. That causes me to laugh, and soon, were both laughing so hard that it's hopeless to try and continue. So she just lies down with her head on my chest, facing me. I trail my hand down her back as she wriggles with happiness and cuddles up next to me. She beams, and I kiss her forehead.
"I love being this way with you." She says, and I caress her face.
"I love how you trust me to be this way with you." I say honestly, tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear. "Thank you. It really means a lot to me."
"Thank you for respecting me, in every aspect of my life." She responds, and I nod, squeezing her tight for a moment, and giving her a longer than average kiss.
"Come up here. I like feeling you next to me." I say, and she smiles and moves. I take her lips in mine one last time before she nestles into me, her arms tucked in front of her; hands sprawled out onto my chest. I savor in the feel if her smooth, silky skin as I slide my hands down to the small of her back. She smiles, and I inch towards her, pressing lightly on her back. She breathes deeply in and out, and I close my eyes, drifting off to peacefully to sleep.
