AN: I AM SO SO SORRY! 7 MONTHS! Jeez, I am a meany. I you still want to read my crappy fic, I am sorry you had to wait. Oh dear, I could of had multiple chapters right now. I will get through this fic. I am thinking of making it 50 chapters at the least. More if you aren't bored..but it looks like it's going to be fifty. Anyhoo, ignore me...lets continue, by reading chapter 21..
"NO! PLEASE MOTHER...I LOVE HIM,"Regina half screamed and half cried, at the woman in front of her, that was choking the ginger haired man, who was going purple under the invisible choking hold, that Cora had on him. Her mother gave her a look of disappointment, then let go of the choke hold on Archie, swiping her hand away lazily. "I had...SUCH high hopes for you, Regina. The things I did for you, to have a good life, for your chance to be the Queen you were born to be...and you go and ruin it by lowering yourself to THIS!," Cora spoke, gesturing to Archie, who was coughing on the floor, trying to get his breath back.
"I never wanted to be Queen, mother. I wanted my own choice of happiness...the happiness you crushed INFRONT of me. I am not ruining AN YTHING. I am trying to get my HAPPINESS back!," Regina cried, standing her ground, despite the tears that were falling down her face. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a pair of eyes, shining brighter, with a smile to match. She couldn't help but return them a soft smile. Seeing this, Cora rolled her eyes and stared between them for a second. "Enough of this! It sickens me that you can let yourself fall into the same trap again. Love...it's weakness, I have told you this again, and again...but you don't listen.," Cora said, a hint of danger making its way into her tone.
Suddenly, Cora swiped her hand quick in Regina's direction. Regina fell down, and when she tried to get up, she found herself unable to move, with the exception of her face and head.
She heard Archie's protests for Cora to leave her alone, and Regina watched her mother make her way towards Archie, backing him up in the dead end area of the street they were in. Regina began to scream for her mother to stop, and she felt her screams soundlessly continue, as her mother waved her arm to Regina, then continued to back up Archie, until she was a few spaces away from his face. Cora looked up at Archie, smiled, and plunged her right hand through his chest, making sure to squeeze on his heart, so he could scream in agony, to the floor. However, instead of ripping out his red beating heart, she squeezed it into dust inside his chest, watching him fall..until he moved no more.
"You should be able to move in a few minutes..but for now...," Cora said, not finishing her sentence off, as she left a distraught, paralysed Regina on the floor, next to a dead Archie.
His cold face faced hers, and she screamed silently, only able to watch...
Regina shot up from the bed, sweating and screaming, until she looked around. She stopped screaming, and starting crying from the shock. The tears ran down her pale face, as she found herself next to Archie, who was very much breathing and full of life, as he too, shot up, looking for the source that had made Regina scream like that.
"Regina, hey, hey, Regina, look at me. Look at me. Hey, shh, it is ok," Archie whispered, holding a shaking Regina to him. She was clutching onto him as if he might leave. "You want to talk about it?," he asked her, wanting to know what she had seen in her head. Regina shook her head. "That's fine, we can talk about it in the morning if you change your mind," Archie spoke to her, softly. He lay down on his bed, pulling Regina on his chest, while she held onto him.
"It was just a dream, everything will be ok," he whispered to her.
Regina knew it was more than a dream. This had plagued on her mind for a few days. She was so happy...and it scared her that she could be this happy, knowing what happened the last time she had a hold of happiness. She knew this could happen, but for now, she clutched onto Archie, and was comforted by the feel of his beating heart, telling her, he was alive.
Annnnnd that's chapter 21. Yep, angst. Reminder that Cora is still out there in this fic of mine ;).
