A/N: Here I am updating again in a little less than a week! Congrats to me, let's all hope writer's block let's me do this more often. Oh and by the way, there's this AMAZING story "The Wolf in me" by QuittingTime, it's a really good plot and an amazing Jori story.

Jade's POV
The bell rang not 10 minutes after I made the call. I jogged downstairs and opened the door to find a very confused friend of mine with a curious look in her eyes.
"What do you mean you think you're falling for Tori?" Cat said confused, searching in my eyes any sign of explanation
"I'll explain everything, come in" I said calmly
You might be wondering why I would've called Cat, out of all the people I could've called. Why I called the ditsy, funny, kinda crazy redhead I called a friend. One simple reason: besides maybe Vega, she's the only person I trust. We've been friends ever since we were 13. We went to the same school, and she's the only one who understood me, until now.
We sat down on the couch in my room "You're probably confused" I started
"NO shit Jade" she said with a straight face
The thing is, I don't think people actually know the real Cat, maybe not even Beck. She's not as stupid as everyone thinks.
So I had to tell her everything. Everything from the first day of school when Sikowitz gave us the challenge, up to the exact point I knew I had developed a crush on Vega.
"So you guys "falling in love" in the summer was a lie…" Cat concluded after taking it all in after a while "It actually makes sense now. I didn't completely buy that…. But you're falling for Tori"
"I said I think I'm falling for her" I corrected
"If you thought that, you wouldn't have called me Jade"
Damn, she knows me so well it's hard to lie to her
"Who knows, maybe she's having the same problem. She's been acting weird lately" she pointed out
"Yeah, about that… She's been like that because I kissed her last week. But before you start flipping out" I said holding her shoulders down when I saw she was gonna freak "It was totally inappropriate, Cat. She's forgiven me, but I doubt she feels the same way"
We both sat there for a while, saying nothing, just thinking.
If she did feel the same way, would I notice? But I knew, she didn't
"You know what the worst part is? I fell for her, and not the other around. I always thought she was a hopeless romantic, but I was wrong. I thought I knew who Tori Vega was, but before this challenge, I knew nothing. I'm starting to get to know her, and my initial feelings towards her were completely mistaken". I tried to explain "I don't know Cat; my mind is just drowning in my thoughts"
"Jade…" she said with a sorry look in her eyes "I've never seen you like this"
"That's because I've never felt this way before. I feel like I need to be around her, when's she's away, I feel the darkness creeping in… She just makes my day better… She makes me better" I said while tears threatened to spill from my sad blue eyes
When Cat leaned forward and hugged me, I completely fell apart. It was not like me to cry over some crush, but Tori was changing me, even though I refused to accept it.
I cried on her lap for at least 10 minutes, but I needed to calm down
"What am I gonna do Cat?!" I threw my hands up in the air "I'm a complete mess"
"A freaking hot mess" she laughed, trying to cheer me up
I laughed as well. It was amazing how Cat was always a good friend to me, but I never was much of a good friend in return/
"I think what you should do is keep your cool. Maybe try and let her know that you like her without actually doing so. Let her know that you're interested, that you're open to an actual relationship with her. Be kind to her; keep your anger and jealousy in check. Act like a real girlfriend as her fake one, and be her friend when she needs you" said my very wise friend
"You know what, people never give you enough credit Cat. You always know what to say… But do you actually think it's possible that she will fall for me too?" I said looking in her deep chocolate eyes, trying not to cry yet again
"You're beautiful Jade, inside and out, you're crazy talented and a pretty awesome person. Let her know that, and she just might even fall in love with you" she smiled
"Thank you" I smiled as I moved in to hug my best friend
"You're welcome" she said hugging me tight "I'd better go get ready, and so should you. Go fix your makeup smudged face" she laughed
"That bad?" I asked her laughing
"Yeah, and take a shower too. Relax Jade, everything's gonna be fine. I'll be here for you no matter what" she said kissed my forehead and left my bedroom
"Hey Cat!" I screamed
"Yeah" she said popping her head back in the room
"Thanks again" I said
"Thank me when Tori falls for you" she winked, and left
"I love you Cat" I screamed
"Love you too Jade" she screamed also from somewhere else in my house
I smiled to myself; we had such a weird friendship.
I stripped off my clothes and went to take a shower. I let the warm water course through my body relaxing my tense body. I washed my hair, my rather curvy body and still stood there for about 5 minutes before getting out.
I dried my hair and opted for sleeveless black top, black shorts and my pair of combat boots. I applied my normal amount of makeup, grabbed my wallet, car keys and phone and went to pick up Tori. It was 7:00, so I still had some time left. I decided to go out on a limb and get Vega flowers. What the hell, it's not gonna hurt anybody.
I stopped by the supermarket and asked some girl for help
"Excuse me, I need some help picking up flowers" I tapped the short girl on the shoulder
When she turned around, I noticed that she had grey eyes and blond hair; she kinda looked like how I picture Annabeth from Percy Jackson would look like if she was you know a real person.
"Hi! Who are the flowers for?" she asked politely
"Oh, they're for my girlfriend" I replied
"How sweet of you!" she said leading me to the flower area "Do you know her favorite color?"
"Purple" I said without even hesitating.
"Oh I know exactly what to pick then" she said handing me a bouquet of flowers
"What are these?" I asked "They're beautiful"
"They're this rare species of purple roses" said the girl "Can you accompany me to the cashier?"
"Sure"
As she was wrapping up my bouquet, she asked something
"Do you the meaning of the purple flowers?" "Not really, no"
"Well. Purple flowers symbolize charm, grace, elegance, and refinement. They can also make a strong romantic impression" she explained
"That's what I'm going for…" I smiled
"Well, good luck…"
"Jade" I completed
"Good luck Jade"
I paid for the flowers and then thanked Annabelle (ironic almost, isn' it?) for the help.
By the time I pulled out of the supermarket, I had enough time to get to Vega's with time to spare.
At 7:29 I got out of my car and knocked on the familiar door
"Tori, your girlfriend's here" Trina said opening the door and walking away
"Coming!" I hear Tori yell from upstairs
I walked in and closed the door, figuring Vega would still be a while
I sat on the couch, holding my rather large bouquet of roses and tried to wipe the sweat of my hands. I was really nervous. What if she thought more of the flowers and confronted me about it? I mean, that's I want, it's just that…. Maybe this wasn't a good idea…
"Hey, Jade ready to go" my girlfriend's perky little voice said by my side
"Yeah" I said getting up "I got these for you" I said handing her the flowers
"Thank you Jade, I'll just go put them in water" she said as she took the bouquet, accidentally brushing my hand and sending shivers down my spine.
Tori's POV
Now I don't know why she got me flowers, but it was really sweet of her and purple's my favorite color! Nice of her to notice… But did Jade know the meaning of the flowers or what they symbolize? No, I don't think she does.
I put the really beautiful bouquet of roses in a vase with water and walked back to Jade who seemed to my admiring the floor
I walked up to her "Ok, let's go"
We walked out the door, and she proceeded to her car while I locked the door. I had to admit that I did admire Jade as I walked behind her. She looked really beautiful, as she always did.
