I want to thank my beta shinee1234 for their great and quick work.

Ianto's contractions had become too strong to even think of anything else, let alone on questioning John Hart. He had tried to remember everything that he had heard from self-help programs about birth and how to breathe through it. But it was easier to follow it when you are just mildly interested in what you are watching, than when you are actually in pain and going through the motions scared out of your mind.

Rhiannon was holding his hand and giving him instructions on how to breath, breathing with him in synchrony. But it seemed that practically everyone in the room was panicking, even John Hart. No one seemed to know what to do now that the worst phase was through and they were waiting for Owen to come to the house.

Ianto was letting out a stream of curses in every language he had learned while working for Torchwood, human and alien alike. Rhiannon and Johnny looked confused not only because they hadn't heard Ianto curse like this before, but also because they didn't even know what he was saying. John Hart was grinning, clearly understanding the foreign languages.

The door to the house opened and a group of very loud people entered the house, it didn't even cross Rhiannon's mind to ask how they managed to open the door without ringing the bell and waiting for them to open it, but her brother's grunts and cries of pain distracted her.

"Owen, I don't think now is the time to argue with Tosh about what we are going to do with Gwen or how she missed the Rift spike that marked the arrival of John Hart." Jack was arguing with Owen when they entered the living room, oblivious to the people around him staring at him. "Right now I have more concerns for the well being of my child and my Ianto."

Owen didn't even grace him with any answer but strode right towards Ianto and took a scanner out of Tosh's hands and hurried towards Ianto. He scanned him and nodded. He looked concerned but not too stressed over the situation so Jack and the others thought it wasn't that bad after all even thought the baby was early.

"If I had caught this before the contractions had become so advanced I could have given him some injection to stop the labour and get him to full term," Owen informed them. "But now I just have to take the babies out. We need to move Ianto to the Hub."

Jack approached Ianto and helped him up, he wasn't going to carry him, one reason was that Ianto would be mortified, the other that he was becoming heavy to carry, and Jack couldn't take him in a fireman's hold with his baby bum now. So he let Ianto lean on him and tried not to pay attention to the grunts of pain from Ianto.

"What do you mean the babies?" Ianto hissed. "There is only one baby."

"Well, no" Owen said. "They are two babies."

Ianto opened his mouth to say something but he let out a heavy pained breath. Jack grinned.

"We will talk later," Ianto said to Jack after seeing his grin.

He didn't want to involve his sister in the Torchwood matters but she allowed no argument and stubbornly stated that she was coming with them to that hub, or whatever they had called the medical centre. Of course she still thought that Ianto worked in an office. She would not budge and in the end Ianto and Jack had to cave in and take her with them.

"We will retcon her later," Ianto whispered in Jack's ear. Seeing him frown of surprise he added. "I don't want her to be a target by having information about Torchwood. I prefer her to be oblivious but safe. We will explain the babies somehow."

Jack nodded and helped Ianto into the car. He still couldn't believe that there was more than one baby in his belly. He looked too small to carry two. Maybe it was the result of his insufficient eating, maybe the babies were really, really small.

"Are they alive?" Ianto asked Owen when jack started the SUV.

"Yes, and only God knows how." Owen answered. "I suppose its Jack's life force energy that is determined to keep them alive."

"Are they going to be immortal then?" he asked between puffs of breath.

"No, I've had children before and they are normal, it's just that the energy will keep them and the mother alive until they are born and have a chance at living."

"So you really are the father of this children then?" Rhiannon asked. Jack nodded." Well, how does it work then? My brother is a male as well."

"We work with aliens, Ianto had a run in with a device that turned him into a woman for a few days." Tosh explained quietly almost embarrassed to be the one doing it.

"No, way!" Rhiannon exclaimed. "Really, though…"

Ianto nodded and that was enough for her to keep the disbelief in check after all she could see her very male brother being in labour, aliens couldn't be all that impossible.

Jack parked at the garage by the Hub and made sure that there was no one in the surrounding to see Ianto getting out of the SUV. Ianto was annoyed and complained about having to go all the way down to the Hub while suffering the pain of the contractions but there was no other option. Besides, Owen was actually right and they were more bearable when he was standing and walking then when he was laying flat on his back.

When they reached the medical bay Owen started to prepare for the surgery and told Ianto to get off his clothes and put on surgical gowns. Not very happy about it he did it with Jack's help fast behind a screen and went to lie down on the autopsy table.

"You are going to be alright," Jack assured him.

"No I'm not," Ianto hissed. "Two alien beings are trying to claw their way out of me."

"They're not alien Ianto, they're human babies, our babies."

"Well you are part alien so they are aliens," Ianto shouted. "Oh my God, Owen get them out."

"Just calm down sweetheart."

"Don't you fucking tell me to calm down, and don't call me sweetheart," Ianto shouted again in pain. He new he was much more aggressive than he usually is but the pain was too much now and he just couldn't stand it. When was Owen going to be ready? "I just want them out!"

"Don't worry my dears, your mom loves you really," Jack said to his belly grinning.

"Don't call me a mother, and you know what Jack fucking Harkness? You are never going anywhere near me with you dick again."

Jack looked worried that he might have to be left celibate and looked at Owen.

"Are you ready already?" he asked.

"Yes, just putting Tea boy under."

While Ianto was on the operating table giving birth and Owen was there working on the delivery, Jack was sent out of the way, together with John and Rhiannon. Owen had only kept Tosh to assist him in the operation. He had said that Jack was too emotionally involved, Rhiannon wouldn't know what to do, and he didn't trust John Hart not to try and steal an organ to sell later.

So Jack was left in the hub with Rhiannon and John. Rhiannon went to make a tea, no coffee; no one touched the coffee machine but Ianto. Jack decided that was the time to ask John some questions.

"How did you get here?" Jack started directly. "We didn't detect any Rift activity."

"Because I didn't come by the Rift," John answered.

"Then how?"

"In a blue Police Box."

"You came with the Doctor?" Jack snorted in disbelieve.

"Yes, lovely fella' could do with better fashion sense though. Who the hell wears bowties anymore?" John answered grinning.

"What did the Doctor had to do with you?" Jack asked sceptically.

"What! You think you have the monopoly on being reformed by the Doctor and changed into a better person?" John said, clearly annoyed.

"Right," Jack snorted again. "And what did you want with me this time."

"I just wanted to give you something special," John said. "I found Gray and wanted to bring him here but he was too damaged and would have destroyed this place. Instead we ran into the Doctor, and he saved me from the bomb that Gray fused into my m. We then took Gray to one of the best psychiatric clinics in New New York."

He could see that Jack still didn't believe him so he gave him a message by the Doctor recorded in the TARDIS. Although Jack couldn't recognise the new doctor with his wide jaw, bowtie and longish even wilder hair there was no doubt it was the doctor and, for once John Hart was telling the truth.

He turned around and tried to speak but tears of relief for his brother and happiness for his children left him with a lump in his throat and made it impossible to speak.

"You can go and visit Gray at any time, just call me or the Doctor." John said smiling gently.

"So you are staying in the TARDIS then?" Jack asked.

"Free time and space travel? Having access to the coolest ship in the Universe and travelling without having to wait for the Rift? Are you joking? Of course I'll stick with him. Besides there's this sexy redhead, Amy Pond as well." John said grinning and started walking towards the exit of the hub.

"Aren't you going to wait for the babies?" Jack tried to stop him from leaving which was strange since the last time he couldn't wait to send him away.

"You know the Doctor, he doesn't like to stay for too long, and I don't want him leaving without me."

"Thank you for saving Ianto."

When Ianto woke up he felt very groggy and a dull pain in his abdomen reminded him of why he was on the autopsy table in the medical bay. The pain had started to become sharper, but he was sure it was gradually decreasing and had been in and out of it for longer than he remembered. He vaguely remembered Owen waking him up telling him that everything was alright.. He could remember having Jack beside him and being given more pain medicines

He finally woke up and looked on his side. There was Jack, holding the hand of one of the babies; the two little pink and perfect creatures were in a incubator for premature babies. Jack noticed that he was awake and smiled, calling for Owen. Owen came down and took the babies out of the incubator and handed them to Ianto. Tosh came at that moment with a bottle of milk

"Now that you're awake, you can feed them," Jack said to Ianto smiling, he had been the first to do it while Ianto was still sleeping.

"I don't know what to do."

"Its easy," Jack said helping him to hold the babies and showing him how to give them the bottle without choking them.

"They are perfect," Jack whispered. "Just like you."

"I can't believe they're ours," Ianto said grinning and looking at them with love.

"Have you decided on any names yet?" Tosh asked.

Jack shook his head, while Ianto answered.

"Hope," Ianto said pointing at the girl, "And Gray" he said pointing at the boy. He looked up and saw Jack smiling at him, tears evident in his eyes.
