"I don't care what you have to say – tonight, it's a romance flick."
"We had that last weekend, hun. What's wrong with adding a bit of variety into the mix?"
"That happened two weekends ago, and I still have a bitter taste in my beak because of it!"
Hawkmon and Biyomon were currently strolling through the Digital World as both were having a bit of an argument over what movie genre they wanted to watch later on that night. The avian suggested something a bit different – an action, a comedy, a little mixture of the two – while his girlfriend had only one idea, and that was a chick flick filled with romance.
"Honestly, this argument isn't even about genres anymore…anytime I suggest doing something different, you are against doing that."
"Oh, please – like I said, we tried something different not too long ago, and it was horrid."
"Well, sorry if you didn't enjoy a good history movie every now and again–"
"That's not true – remember, we watched that one historic movie a good month ago?"
"You've seen that a few dozen times! And it's more romance than anything!"
"Hey, that movie is a classic! I'll be glad to watch it time and time again, over some worthless–"
"Oh, how dare you insult history…along with those old time fighting flicks. Not every movie needs to have a guy and a girl getting together at the end."
"Okay, so when you chose that one movie that dealt with romance, you were totally on board with it, but now that I'm doing the choosing, you are up in arms?"
"The movie I chose had more to do with how one dealt with themselves in a time of trouble. She ended up graduating better than anyone else."
"…And with the guy."
"And that is all you cared about."
Biyomon sighed. "So what – look what does the movie have to do with anything?"
"…You know you're only going this route because I prove a decent point."
"Again, what does it matter? We're going to end up going around in circles at this point, and neither one of us will get to enjoy one another's company tonight. Isn't that why we came up with this late-night movie idea in the first place?"
Hawkmon shuffled his talons before answering, "Well, you do have a point. I normally tune out chick flicks within the first five minutes–"
"Wow, you're good! I tune out before the feature length film screen comes on."
"You made a point, though – a certain movie shouldn't matter when we end up having that as background while we're the main item."
The pink bird chuckled as she approached her boyfriend. "I'm glad you see things my way."
"Well, don't get too excited now; we can discuss what to do with our current conflict some other time. Tonight, let's get back to us."
"Oh," Biyomon said while embracing Hawkmon, "I would love nothing more than to do that with you, hun."
"I feel the same way with you," he replied, embracing her as well.
As the two enjoyed each other's presence for the first time since stepping into the Digital World, they were able to hear the soothing noises of a place they use to refer to as their home.
