A/N: I don't own Twilight. Any similarities or references belong to their own persons.

If at any point in time I thought that this trip to Paris was going to be a relaxing touristic escapade, that thought was now long gone. Edward and I had been working non-stop since our arrival and barely had any time to sleep, let alone time to spend with each other.

It's been three weeks since we've landed and the only Parisian sights that I've had the chance to see so far have been the ones that happen to be on the same route the taxi takes to take us from the hotel to VS headquarters; which were pretty minimal to say the least.

That being said, Edward and I haven't even had the chance to work together. They wanted his opinion on everything media whereas I was demanded in the actual runway work. I can't say that I mind how things turned out, but actually seeing him would have been nice.

"Okay, Isabella. What masterpiece have you come up for the Halloween segment?" Sophia, the creative director asks me.

I bite my lip nervously, a terrible habit, and take a deep breathe. "When it comes to the name, there's always the quintessential Trick or Treat that everybody knows, if not we could go for Haunted or Dark Angels. I personally favour Dark Angels seeing as it isn't cliché but does coexist well with the VS image."

Sophia nods. "I agree, I hadn't thought of that one and it does stray from the typical Trick or Treat theme."

"Trick or Treat might've been better if it were a Pink segment." I point out. "So, for the Dark Angels theme I've drawn out this plan right here." I push the paper closer to her. "It strays from the typical cookie cutter image of Halloween without necessarily edging towards the gory side of it. We're talking dark mist, a few jack-o-lanterns, many creepy trees and the occasional wolf howl."

"In terms of lighting and background effects, what did you have in mind?"

"Just a full moon in the background with dark clouds shading it, as for the lighting I think it would be great to make it seem like the only source of lighting is the moon in the background."

Sophia nods and raises an eyebrow. "You have very minimal decoration on this plan."

"I do," I agree. "That can be altered, but I was imagining a performer during this segment. More precisely, Kanye West with Monster. I know how much he loves the fashion show, and he did so well last time."

Sophia purses her lips. "I'll contact Mr. West's people immediately. Thank you so much, Bella. I can't tell you how rare it is for me to have these meetings and not completely rearrange everything. We are very thankful to have you."

I blush. "Please, the pleasure is mine."

"I'm going to head out because I need to catch a flight to Sweden to overlook the filming of the Very Naughty Christmas Collection commercial. Before I do, do you have anything in mind for the Winter Wonderland segment?"

"Decoration and music wise, no. I have however come up with a great idea for the entrance set up. I was thinking a huge glass snowflake that rotates on itself, revealing a model at every 180-degree spin."

"Have you drawn out a design or sketch?"

I nod and hand her several papers with all my drafts on them. "I'll see you in three days. The winter segment will definitely be ready by then."

"Remember to emphasize the fantasy bra."

"I've got it covered." I assure her before turning back towards my plans and working in silence.

After a few minutes I get up and walk over to where the costume designers are and borrow the notebook for the winter segment so I can make sure that nothing clashes with the décor.

A pair of hands cover my eyes and cause me to jump up. "Boo."

I laugh and rest back into Edward's chest. "Hey, you."

"Hey yourself. Grab your things, get ready, I'm taking you on the date of your life."

I frown. "I can't. I have work and a segment to work on for and Soph-"

"I'm not taking no for an answer, you work way too hard. Come on."

I follow his lead into the taxi and let myself fall into a dreamless sleep. When I wake up Edward is carrying me into our suite. Although I should get down I lay my head back onto his and quickly forget everything I had once worried about.

When I wake up I find myself alone and tucked in bed. On my nightstand there is a bottle of water and a note that I pick up and attempt to read through sleep hooded eyes.

Isabella,

There is a bag on the chair at the corner of the room. Take a shower, put everything in the bag on and head to the lobby at six thirty sharp.

Don't ask any questions just do as I say; I promise you'll love it.

Yours truly,

Edward.

I pick up my cellphone to check the time and shriek when I see that it says five fifteen on it. I don't even think twice before jumping in the shower and taking a hefty 20 minutes to lather, rinse, repeat and shave.

Blow drying and straightening my hair take a record fifteen minutes and soon I am hesitantly peeping in the bag on the corner chair. I pull out a gorgeous pink dress with long sleeves and an open back that fits loosely and reaches my mid thigh. It has intricate beading along the entire thing. It's beautiful. Deeper in the bag there's a pair of nude pumps and a serpent-like silver bracelet.

Oh, Edward.

I put them on quickly and pull my hair up into a messy ponytail before putting on my makeup and checking the time. 6:25. I slip on the pumps and make my way down to the lobby, checking around me occasionally for green eyes and bronze hair.

A man in a dark blue suit comes up to me and smiles before extending his hand. "You must be Isabella Swan. I'm Henry, I'll be your driver for the evening, follow me."

Stunned, I follow him into a sleek black limousine, that just so happens to be stocked with champagne and two glasses. Where is Edward?

"Henry? Where is Mr. Cullen?"

Henry smiles at me, his blue eyes twinkling. "That's a surprise Ms. Swan."

I huff and lean back into my seat and watch with rapt attention as we drive by the Notre Dame Cathedral and pass by Arc de Triomphe. Although I'd always said that New York was the most beautiful city ever, Paris sure is giving it a run for its money

Suddenly the car stops and Henry steps out and opens my door for me. "Welcome to Luxembourg Gardens, Ms. Swan. Please follow the pathway here until you reach the river."

"Are you coming with me?"

"No, I will see you later on during the evening. Enjoy."

I nod and continue down the path, thankful for its existence since I doubt my ability to walk in heels extends to walking on grass in them. I decide not to walk fast, instead taking my time and fully allowing myself to absorb the beauty of the gardens. There are families sitting on the grass, some eating picnics and others simply enjoying the sights while their children play around. A little boy with blue eyes and blonde hair runs up towards me and hands me a flower.

I take it gently from his hands and smile at him.

"Tu es très belle." He whispers to me shyly before running away to join the other little kids.

(You are very beautiful).

I chuckle and make my way towards the river. The crystal clear waters are calm and I can see several boats floating further down. In front of me there is a small dock with a man standing on it. As I get closer, I see that it's my man.

Suddenly I start walking faster and fling myself into his arms. He chuckles and wraps his arms around me, moving his head down to mine. "I take it you like your surprise." He whispers into my hair.

Pulling back from his embrace, I extend my arm and punch him in the shoulder. "That's' what you get for spending so much money on me."

"You're insane."

I smile sweetly at him before tilting my head up and kissing him softly, moulding his lips to mine before cheekily pulling on his bottom lip. Edward pulls away and grabs my hand pulling me towards an adorable boat floating beside the dock.

"We're going boating?" I ask, trying to hide my excitement.

"Picnic on the boat baby."

To say that this is the perfect date is an understatement. The two of us take turns feeding each other croissants and éclairs while the other rows for a while. Eventually we let the boat coast and just take the time to spend together.

"Are you ready for part two of the best date ever?"

"Definitely."

We walk back towards the street and sure enough Henry is waiting for us. He and Edward exchange nods and soon enough we are back on the road.

"Champagne?"

I purse my lips. "Sure."

Edward glances at the flower that I had tucked into my hair. "Is that a flower from the garden?"

I nod. "A little boy gave it to me."

Edward raises his eyebrows. "I see I have some competition."

"Oh, Edward. There is no competition." I raise my hand and pat his cheek. "The little boy totally wins."

Edward scowls at me and growls. "You're going to pay for that."

Suddenly his hands are at my sides and tickling me causing me to squirm and squeal. His lips find my neck and my shrieks of joy turn to silent moans.

"Ahem." Henry clears his throat, looking slightly uncomfortable.

Edward sits up and smirks. "Sorry, Henry. Coming, B?"

I blush furiously before nodding and taking his hand and following him down the path in front of us until The Louvre comes in to view. I gasp.

"Really?"

"Anything for you, baby."

For the past few hours, I've been well fed and have spent my time walking alongside paintings worth more than my entire wardrobe. To say that I'm floating on cloud nine would be an incredibly toned down way of saying things.

"Are we going to the hotel now?"

Edward wraps an arm around me and pulls me close, kissing my forehead. "Not quite."

"Is Henry meeting us somewhere?"

"Not yet."

We walk in silence for a few more minutes until we reach the Eiffel tower. Edward walks towards the elevator and presses a button.

"Um. I'm pretty sure it's closed. And I don't think we're allowed to be here."

The elevator doors ding open and Edward pulls me inside. "Don't worry. I have special permission to be up here. I promise." Not before long we're at the top of the tower, standing at the summit of the city of lights.

"It's beautiful." I breathe out, taken aback at the simplistic beauty of it all, even though it didn't hold the numerous skyscrapers I've known to love.

Edward steps away from the railing and sticks his hand out to me. "Dance with me."

"There's no music playing."

He shrugs. "So?"

I chuckle and take his hand allowing him to make us sway along to the melody he hums under the Paris stars, gliding across the floor of the major emblem to the city of love, passion and romance.

A/N: Maybe one or two more chapters in Paris, then we will be back in New York!

Sorry if any of the information about the touristic sights in Paris are wrong (ie. Location, distance etc.) I did my best without actually being there.

Reviews are great!
