Albus needed to find out a way of getting his hands on Harry. Harry's fame was slowly dying away and he could not allow that. He had been working too hard to over throw not only the school governors, but the Wizengot as well. He resented the powers that those lords were born into. His father had lost their title when he had been sent to prison, and with it their seats. Of course those rules had been changed since then. The likes of Lucius and others had kept their titles after the war. Even with his pardon, Lucius should have lost his title, with his actions under the old laws. Harry would be his way of convincing the public of the changes that needed to be made. He needed to get Harry far away from the Blacks though. The more time he spent with them, the more he was turning into one of them. He would also see about getting Harry re-sorted of course.

He had been looking for a way to get Harry away from the Blacks. He was never quite certain why they were so interested in the boy. Other than Sirius, they had no reason to. They were of course unaware of who his real father, Lily and James had foolishly taken that one to the grave. And if Remus knew in any way, he was long gone. He was looking for the wolf, it never sat well with him, and the man was still on the loose.

Albus had been summoned. "Where are you?"

Mundungus appeared. "You are early."

Albus grunted. "I have no time to waste."

Dung smiled. "This is no waste of your time."

Albus turned. "You have found him?"

Dung shook his head. "Not yet."

Albus was not pleased. "I have paid you well."

"I am making progress."

"Why summon me? If it's for more money…."

The man cut him off. "I did find something."

"Why didn't you say that in the first place?"

"It's not about Remus."

Albus was confused. "Then what?"

Dung smiled. "I may have found an in with the Blacks."

Albus stopped. "An in?"

"A way to get Harry away from them."

Yes he wanted Remus, but there was something that Albus had wanted more. He had fought for years to get his hands on Harry again. The boy had power, both magic and in who he was, Albus needed to control. He had but heads though with Arcturus who was not about to let him win. He had spent a great deal of money, not his own but school funds, to find a way to bring them down. The family was not about to allow their secrets to be aired to the public. He doubted that Arcturus would not be willing to give Harry up if the secret was big enough. Harry was only the great-grandson of his brother, as far as the man knew of course. And Abraxas would never need to know the truth of who Harry was.

Dung had found a man who was willing to provide them information for a good price. He had some dirt on Regulus Black. He had not expanded, but said it would be worth the coin. If there was anyone Arcturus would sacrifice Harry for, it would be one of his grandsons, even if dead.

Albus went with him. "It better be worth it."

Dung shrugged. "He seemed confident."

"It will have to be big."

"The man will surely choose a grandson over a distant relative."

Albus was reminded Dung didn't know Harry's real dad. "A dead grandson."

"A grandson and family name at that."

Albus looked at the house. "And the world doesn't know about Harry."

Dung looked at him. "Know?"

"Knock."

Dung knew better than to question. "He said now."

A man appeared. "On time."

Albus eyed him. "I am told you have information."

The man motioned in. "Safety first."

Albus smirked. "I should say the same."

The man smirked. "For obvious reasons I need an oath."

Albus grimaced. "If you are telling the truth, none should be needed."

The man turned to leave. "I guess you don't want the information all that bad."

Albus stopped him. "Fine. But this information better be worth it."

Albus took an oath on his magic, that he would not seek to harm this man or his spouse or children, on pain of death. Albus smirked internally at that. He didn't care about this man at all. As long as the man didn't lie to him, he didn't care if he lived or died. And he used his men to do such dirty work anyways. There were ways to take people down without physically doing them harm. Albus learned that long ago.

Albus glared. "What is this information?"

The man said. "It seems Harry Potter is his son."

Dung stared. "What?"

Albus snarled. "If that is all you…."

The man added. "That should be worth coin."

"Old news."

The man stopped him. "But that he is alive?"

Albus turned back. "Alive?"

The man nodded. "He is alive and well."

Albus glared. "Lies."

The man showed him an image. "Last week."

Albus growled. "This can't be happening."

The man went to leave. "Worth your coin?"

Albus agreed. "Where is he?"

The man shrugged. "Where would a Black be?"

Albus was furious as he realized that Regulus was alive and well somewhere. He had no doubt he had contact with his grandsire. If the family didn't know about Harry yet, they would know soon enough. Harry would be heading back home for Christmas time soon. He had to find Regulus and take him out of the picture and soon. He could not allow Sirius to find out about Harry, or the man to claim his so called son.

He looked at Dung. "There seems two people I need you to help me find."

Harry had no idea what was happening back home. He was enjoying his first term at school, both his classes, and learning about quidditch. He knew he would not see air time until next year, but he enjoyed. He was also teaching some skills to the seeker, as well as learning them. He had learned a lot from Charlie growing up. Unlike Bill who was in Egypt, Charlie had not pursued dragons, and played quidditch instead here. He was top of all of his classes, and had made good friends. Of course Albus always seemed to be lurking but he had avoided him so far.

A few weeks after Halloween, the first quidditch game of the season was being played. Though Harry and Draco would not play, they suited up with the team. It was an incredible game, and they were both happy when their team beat the lions.

Harry saw Fred after. "Good game."

George smirked. "May have to flush your head."

Fred agreed. "We recognize that move from Charlie."

Draco reminded them. "Said competition was only on the field."

Harry assured his cousin. "They are only kidding."

Fred turned. "And how do you know that?"

George nodded. "We like to win."

Harry shrugged. "Because Charlie would do worse than flush your head."

Fred reminded him. "He is our big brother."

George added. "And a former lion."

Harry had a coy smile. "But he likes me better."

Fred put him in a head lock. "Not sure that is true."

George laughed. "But guess we won't take the risk."

A voice came from behind. "But you will risk flees from that dungeon rat."

Draco smirked at Ron. "More likely to get them from you."

Ron was fuming mad as he stormed away from them. They had no idea why he had been down in the area any way. The teams and their friends had been meeting down on the grass. Ron had managed to make a friend or two but they all were in his house. Hufflepuff took anyone into their house, and it seemed they had big enough hearts, to put up with even him. They had heard he had tried out for a chaser position on their team. First years may make reserves like Harry and Draco, but Ron had not stood a chance. He had flown head first into the rings.

Albus had come down onto the field and had been about to approach Harry. He had noticed Sirius disappear off and thought he had the time. Having that man on staff was a bigger headache then he imagined. He hoped the information on Regulus could help rid him of Sirius too.

He was shocked when he saw his informant. "What are you doing here?"

The man smiled. "I thought you needed information."

Albus spat. "Not out here."

"This kind of thing could not wait."

Albus motioned. "Too many ears."

The man stood. "You said you needed to know right away."

Albus cast a privacy spell. "Why are you really here?"

"Regulus has a disguise."

"Of course he does you fool." Albus spat.

"I have found out what it is."

Albus was amazed. "I will pay you well."

The man smiled. "He is here."

Albus looked. "Here? He is here? Why would he be here?"

The man looked towards Harry. "His son."

Albus glared. "He would not take such a risk."

The man reminded him. "No one knows he is alive, or which he is."

Albus was about to say something when he saw a man walking towards Harry. For a moment he thought it was Regulus but he didn't think so. The man surely would not reveal himself in front of Albus like that. But the man looked so familiar and for some reason Albus could not sort out why. He realized that he had seen the man in town once or twice. He was sure he had once worked for his brother some years ago at the tavern. The man had not been seen in years and he had heard he went to London. Albus had never seen him full on, or met him, but had glimpses.

Albus went towards the man. "I didn't think you worked for my brother anymore."

The man turned to him. "I don't."

Albus realized the man wore a charm. "You are….."

The man let his charm slip. "Hello Albus."

Albus stared in shock at Remus. "What are you doing here?"

Remus smiled. "Come to see Harry of course."

Albus snarled. "I didn't think the boy was worth enough to take such a risk."

Remus didn't blanch. "My son is worth it."

Albus smirked. "James didn't even name you godfather."

"I guess I should say stepson." Remus corrected himself.

Harry hugged the man. "I didn't know you were coming."

Remus kissed him but saw Sirius. "How about you go with Uncle Siri? The headmaster and I need to speak."

Albus was shocked when Remus went into a room with him alone. "I warned you to disappear."

"You did. But circumstances have changed."

"I can make you disappear if I need." Albus warned.

Remus smirked. "Oh I don't think you will."

Albus stopped. "You think some old loyalties will stop me?"

"No, but my companion will."

Albus smirked. "Your companion?"

A voice came from behind. "He means me."

Albus turned to see his informant. "I promised you and your family protection, no one else."

The man smiled. "And my husband."

Albus watched in shock as the man removed his own charm. It had been a strong one, one even Albus had not been able to detect. Usually only blood magic was strong enough for that. There were few who had the skills to deceive him as that. If Remus had been a shock, the man before him was a bigger one. The man had brought him news that Regulus was alive, and had promised to deliver him into Albus' hands for a price.

Regulus reached and kissed his husband. "I told you I could tell you where Regulus was."
