Me: Hmph! Be glad I gave you that break! I'll be back and I'm never admitting!

About: Connor and Miranda have gotten tired of their siblings concealing their feelings. When they come up with a plan and lock "Tratie" in a closet, what is the to-be couple to do?

Time: Before Second Titan War. Tratie not dating. Both are fourteen years old.

Yay!

Katie's POV:

"What are you doing?" I kicked and struggled in my sibling's arms. The Demeter cabin wasn't particularly strong, but right now, I just couldn't seem to break free. "I thought you were on my side!"

Miranda grinned at me and laughed. "Oh, Katie, my dear sister, this is just payback!"

I gaped at her. "And just what exactly did I do?" I asked incredulously. What could I have done to them that was so bad I had to be locked up in a closet with Travis Stoll?

My half-brother, Dan, gave me a weird look. "Please, if you can't admit you like Travis Stoll, then we'll make you! It's getting really tiring!"

My cheeks went red as heat rushed to my face and I stopped struggling. My siblings chose this moment to throw me into a dark enclosed space with another body.

"Oof!" I cried out. "Get off me!"

The door shut and I heard the lock click in place.

"Have a nice time!" I heard Connor call.

"Curse you!" Travis called back.

My face heated up as I realized he was still on top of me. "Get off!" I growled.

"There's no space!" Travis answered, wriggling around. I heard a loud thump as he tried to get up.

"Ow!" he cried.

I sat up gingerly. Everything was pitch-black. "Feel for a light switch." I ordered.

Travis grumbled, but I could hear his hands sliding around on the walls.

"I can't feel anything Katie!" he reported.

I glared at him in the dark. "Well, look harder!"

"Why don't you?" Travis retorted.

I groaned. "Because, genius," I rolled my eyes. "there's not enough room for me to stand up!"

I heard Travis sigh faintly. He kept searching for a while and then I heard a faint click.

The bulb's light was faint, but it was bright enough so I could see that we were in a small, crowded closet.

Travis slid down to the floor uncomfortably. I moved my legs out of the way so there would be slightly more room.

"Thanks," he muttered. We sat there in an uncomfortable silence for a while, before Travis sighed and asked, "Do you wanna play Twenty Questions?"

"Where did that come from?" I asked. There was nothing better to do, so I nodded anyway.

"I'll go first." Travis stated. "What's your full name?"

I rolled my eyes. "Katie Jane Gardner."

I thought for a moment. "What's your favourite food?"

Travis laughed. "You want me to choose? Okay, lasagna."

I laughed as well. "Seriously? I hate lasagna!"

Travis mock gasped. "How could you? Fine. What's your favourite colour?"

I stared at Travis. "Well, green used to be my favourite... But, now I think it's blue..." my voice trailed off as I gazed at Travis' eyes.

They were such a brilliant blue, like the deep of night.

Travis stared back for a while before a loud thud sounded outside. We both scrambled up. crashing into the various boxes and items stacked along the walls.

I managed to get to the door first, my ankles covered in bruises from the boxes. I pressed my ear to the door, listening for any other sounds.

Travis waited impatiently behind me, shifting back and forth. After a while, I moved back.

"Nothing," I confirmed, shaking my head. "Anyway, what's your biggest fear?"

Travis thought for a while, pursing his lips. "Uh... I think it would be dying in war before I finish all the necessary things in life."

I raised an eyebrow. "When did you become so deep?" I asked, trying not to laugh.

Travis looked mildly offended. "Why do you always criticize my answers?"

Travis pouted as I laughed out loud, not bothering to apologize.

Travis sighed good-naturally, and went on, smiling slightly. My cheeks reddened as he fixed me with an intense look.

When he turned away, I could have sworn his cheeks were red as well. "How old are you?" he asked.

I blinked, surprised. "Um, fourteen."

Travis nodded, suddenly not seeming as interested. "Your turn."

I thought for a moment. "Best friend?"

Travis scoffed. "Connor, obviously," he answered. "What was your hardest quest?"

I could feel the cold change in the atmosphere. Travis had put up his guard suddenly.

"I haven't had many quests," I replied. "But I think the hardest would've been the time when I had to retrieve Demeter's sacred pots. I understand she's my mother, but she was being a little too over-dramatic."

Travis snorted. "Just be glad that your mother acknowledged you for a quest."

I kept quiet about that. My mother only came around every now and then. I didn't even see her that much.

"Who's your crush?" I suddenly found myself blurting out. Travis' cheeks went bright red immediately and my curiosity level rose.

"Who is it?" I leaned forward, almost crashing into Travis accidentally. I cursed the tiny room silently.

Travis blushed even more, looking more and more flustered by the second. "N-no! It's not-not anyone!" he stammered.

I sat back, staring at him quizzically. "Fine. Don't tell me." I huffed. Travis didn't answer, still blushing like mad.

"Your turn," I changed the subject. "Go." I ordered.

Travis thought for a moment, the red slowly fading from his cheeks. "Who's your best friend?" he asked.

I scoffed. "That's boring. I'd have to say my sister Miranda. Although... It was her that locked me in here..."

The memory of what Dan had said floated through my head. "Please, if you can't admit you like Travis Stoll, then we'll make you! It's getting really tiring!"

My face burned and I could see Travis was in the same state. He nodded ruefully. "Connor did the same to me."

I sighed and went on with the game. "Favourite song?" I asked.

Travis grinned, then burst into song. "Let it go! Let it go! Can't hold it back anymore!"

I slapped him upside the head before he could continue, even though I was struggling not to smile. Travis could be such an idiot sometimes.

Travis laughed, rubbing his head slightly. His blue eyes twinkled and I felt a slight flutter in my chest.

"What's your favourite food?" he asked me.

"Didn't I ask you that?" I said.

Travis shrugged. "It works."

I looked down at my feet. "I think my favourite food would have to be ice cream," I finally answered. "It's amazing."

Travis grinned again. "I know right? Ice cream makes everything better!"

I nodded, laughing. "I'm going to need a lot of ice cream after this traumatizing experience." I joked.

Travis held a hand to his chest, gasping. "Well! I'm going to need a lot of lasagna after this!"

I laughed, having a surprising good time. "Okay my turn," I giggled. "Hmm. Who was your first girlfriend?"

Travis snickered. "Getting personal now, are we? Okay, It was when I was twelve or so. I think her name was Maria."

"You think?" I raised my eyebrow.

Travis laughed sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry. We weren't together long."

I sighed. "Well." Travis had a reputation for being a player. This question would just have enhanced the rumours.

Travis coughed into his fist. "Anyway, my turn. What was your least favourite TV show as a child?"

I sat back against the wall, the various items poking my back. "Uh... I didn't really watch any TV, but I think my least favourite would have been... Dora, maybe?"

Travis gasped, leaning forward onto his hands. "How can you hate Dora! She's awesome!"

I gaped at him. "Are you nuts? Dora sucks!"

Travis glared at me. "She's amazing!"

"She's friends with a monkey!"

"Is that wrong?"

"Uh, yeah!"

~LOTS OF QUESTIONS LATER

We argued for a while after almost every question, until another crash from outside sounded. Both of us jumped, neither expecting it.

Silently, we both agreed to go quietly but quickly to the door.

Travis, being taller, pressed his ear to the top of the door and I leaned against the middle. I could hear whispering on the other side, but I couldn't make out the words.

Travis huffed. "I can't hear a word!" he grumbled.

Travis sat back on his haunches and I leaned back as well. My back hit Travis' chest, but neither of us moved.

We sat there, Travis' hands resting on my shoulders, both of us waiting for the other to make a move.

"So," Travis murmured finally. "It's my turn, isn't it?"

I started, almost having dozed off. "Huh?"

"What would you do..."

I turned to look at Travis. His eyes were shadowed by his hair, but I could see a faint smile on his lips.

"...if I kissed you now?"

I gaped at him, not having time to think before Travis placed his lips on mine. I froze, unsure of what to do.

I found myself kissing him back, even though I told myself I shouldn't encourage him. My senses shut down and I let him press me against the door, still kissing me hard.

"Travis... Stop..." I mumbled half-heartily. I didn't know where all this want had come from but it scared me.

Travis let me go reluctantly, his eyes dark. He stood up without a word, leaving me on the floor.

He listened to the door then searched in his back pocket for something. I found myself staring at his dark, swollen lips, my own tingling.

"Do you have a barrette?" Travis asked me suddenly. He didn't look down, but his voice was cold, completely void of emotion.

I slipped my thinnest clip out of my hair. "I don't have a barrette, but will this do?"

Travis studied it, glancing at the lock.

"Well, it might work..." Travis trailed off for a moment and I watched as he analyzed the situation. After a while he set to work, slipping the clip into the lock and twisting it.

"Why is the lock on the outside?" I asked suddenly. Travis didn't answer, just shrugging instead.

After a moment or so, I heard a click and sprang up, immediately tripping over my feet.

Travis caught me, letting me lean on him while I got my bearings. As soon as I was upright, though, he let me go and swung open the door.

We poked our heads out slowly. I could have sworn I saw a flash of blond hair from a person running out the door.

Travis walked out first, leaving me standing inside the closet without a word. He paused when he reached door, though, looking down at his feet.

"See ya, Katie-kat." he murmured.

I watched as he slipped out the door and I found that I had a small smile on my face.

Twenty Questions was now my official favourite game.

It sucks. I know.

But I updated faster this time, right? Right?

I don't know. But I've made myself a deal. If I publish one chapter of TOAZ, then I can read one chapter of BOO, so yeah.

Q: What is Reyna's full name?
