And I'm back! Ha! Didn't expect me to update so early now did you? Hehe, well here's the next chapter and we will see if Kera survives or not! Oh who am I kidding, I already know the answer! ;)
Also don't forget to visit the other project I have started. It's called Family and it's based off of this story. It's mostly one shots but the best part is that you guys can leave requests. So if you have an idea just go over to the other page and leave them there! I'm really excited to start that one.
Anyway, this chapter isn't that long either but still a decent length. At least it will answer your terrible question of what has happened to Kera!
"No…" Erza muttered seeing the destruction of her friend's apartment. She could hear footsteps behind her but didn't care to look who it was. She knew who it was anyway.
"Oh shit…" Natsu mumbled as he and Gray finally caught up to Erza. They saw the destruction and couldn't believe it either. How was this even possible?
The fire wasn't that big but enough for someone caught in it to get burnt. Immediately Erza snapped out of her paralyzed stated and turned to Natsu. "Natsu, eat the fire!"
The pink haired Dragon Slayer looked at her confused. "What? Why…"
He was suddenly grabbed by the collar and pulled by Erza. She had a serious death glare on her face. If Natsu could see into the future… heck he doesn't need to see into the future to know she would kill him.
"Eat, the GOD DAMN FIRE NATSU!" She snapped at him again pulling him closer so that their faces were only inches apart from each other.
Natsu nodded immediately as he squirmed out of her grasp and ran to the fire. Taking a deep breath he started to suck in all the flames surrounding the area. The people were slightly amazed of this action but knew nothing less than about the Fire Dragon Slayer.
In mere seconds all the fire was sucked up by Natsu as he scoffed it all down. Right as the fire was all cleared Erza immediately ran to the pile of rubble and started to tear away rocks and piles of wood.
"Come on! Come on!" Erza muttered as she kept on throwing away debris.
Lucy had caught up as well with Happy beside her. She saw the situation and gasped holding her hands in front of her mouth. "Oh no…" Happy's eyes welled up knowing the horrible truth.
Erza kept on going through the rubble hoping she could find Kera in this mess. She just had to be in here somewhere! She just had to!
Gray sent the people away from this scene. It still could be dangerous and truthfully... no one needed to see this. Natsu just watched Erza as she was on her knees digging through the rubble. Sighing he walked over to her. "Erza."
"No! She has to be here! She just has to! She can't just be gone!" Erza refused to believe that Kera was gone as she kept on digging through the rubble. She didn't care if she got hurt or scraped. She just wanted to find her.
"Erza, a blast like that would surely kill anyone." Natsu tried to tell her but she still refused everything. She kept throwing away rubble, not wanting to give up hope. That was the last thing she would do.
Natsu sighed as he put a hand on her shoulder. Immediately Erza snapped at him. "She can't be gone! She just can't be! She wouldn't just leave! She promised!"
"Erza…"
They both froze as they heard a groan. Even Lucy and Gray froze. They all turned around as they heard some noise and could even see something moving. Immediately both Natsu and Erza scrambled to the area in front of them.
They started to dig through the pile when suddenly an arm broke through. It squirmed around before it got a solid grip on the ground and pushed itself off of it. That's when the body of the arm came crashing through breathing air.
"Kera!"
The brunette coughed as she breathed in the air. Both Natsu and Erza grabbed her and pulled her out of the debris. She slightly hissed as she was pulled out, hitting the rubble and scraping herself, but it was nothing bad.
Erza immediately pulled her into a hug. Kera coughed but didn't object. "Damn that was close…" Kera coughed again with a horse voice.
"Thank god you are okay." Erza said with a smile.
Natsu grinned. "Jeez Kera, you are one lucky wizard."
Erza pulled away and checked her friend over. She was covered in dirt and dust and maybe a few bruises, but other than that she was fine. Kera groaned as she moved.
Gray just shook his head as he walked over to them with Lucy. They were happy Kera was alright, but there was one thing he did not understand. "How did you survive that? Someone would have surely died in such an explosion. No offense."
Kera rubbed her face as she shook her head. "It's fine. Believe me, I thought I was a goner as well. In the last second I was able to cover my front with a rock wall so I wasn't completely hit by the blast."
Lucy smiled. "You are really lucky!" She said smiling.
"Was it an accident?" Natsu asked wanting to know what had exactly happened. He noticed that her face got darker. "No it wasn't an accident. I found a bomb in my room and it was about to explode. I was just able to cover myself. If I hadn't heard that ticking noise with my senses I would have been dead. Whoever done this sure didn't know I was a Dragon Slayer. A normal person would never have heard it."
Erza frowned at what she was hearing. Someone had tried to kill Kera. This was no accident. No one would 'accidentally' leave a bomb in someone's apartment. "Are you hurt? Anything broken?" She asked.
"I'm not sure. Let me… ugh." She gritted her teeth as she tried to stand up. Taking a deep breath she looked down at her leg to see a metal piece in her leg. She cursed. "That can't be good."
Erza looked at Kera silently asking a question and the brunette nodded. "Do it." She muttered. Sighing the red head grabbed the piece of metal before pulling it out.
Kera yelped in pain as it was pulled out of her leg. She took a deep breath. Natsu and Erza looked worried but she reassured them. "I'm fine, just give me a second." She told them.
Lucy walked over to them and made Kera sit back down. The brunette gave her a confused look but she simply smiled. "I know some first aid."
Kera smiled at her. "Thank you Lucy, but you don't need to do that." She told her.
Lucy knelt down as she checked the injury. Quickly her gaze went to Gray. "Gray, give me your shirt."
"What? Why…"
"Now!" Lucy snapped. Gray flinched slightly but quickly took his shirt off and gave it to the blonde. After that he scooted over to Natsu. "Jeez, she can be as scary as Erza."
Natsu nodded.
Lucy ripped the black haired mage's shirt apart so she could use some as a bandage. Wrapping it around her bleeding leg the brunette hissed.
The blonde immediately shouted a sorry before continuing her work. With a little help of the armored wizard the two were able to successfully bandage her leg. The blonde smiled. "There, it should be good now. But I would take it easy if I were you."
Kera nodded. "Thank you Lucy."
Lucy laughed. "I just can't believe you actually survived that blast. You're amazing!"
"No I'm not. I was just lucky." Kera told them.
Erza smiled at her. "No, you are amazing Kera." She told her before helping back to her feet.
The brunette looked at the rubble that used to be her apartment. She hung her head. "Great… now where am I supposed to go?" She muttered.
Natsu grinned as he scratched the back of his head. "Don't worry about a thing Kera! You can stay at Lucy's place with us!"
"H-Hey! You didn't even ask me!" Lucy countered but Gray put an arm around her shoulder. "Oh come on Lucy. Look at Kera. You're going to ditch her on the streets? Remember, if you do that you'll have Erza on your neck."
Lucy swallowed hard at the last part but knew that Gray was right. She couldn't just leave Kera on the streets. Not after her apartment was bombed. She smiled sweetly. "You can stay with me."
Kera smiled at her. "Thanks Lucy, but you don't have to. I can try and find another place."
"No no, I insist. I can't leave a friend out on the streets." The blonde reassured her and Kera smiled. "Thank you Lucy. I owe you one." She took a step forward, but as her injured leg hit the ground pain ran through her leg and she stumbled.
Erza and Natsu quickly grabbed her before she fell to the ground. "Lucy said to take it easy Kera." Erza told her and Kera chuckled. "Heh, yea… sorry."
Lucy shook her head. Tonight would be something. She really wondered where she was going to sleep with four extra people in her apartment. She'd probably have to sleep on the floor.
Oh god no…
And the snoring!
She is not going to get a wink of sleep tonight.
The next day arrived and Lucy pulled herself off of the table of the guild that was now located in the basement. She couldn't really sleep at all. Natsu and Gray were both snoring through the night. They slept on the ground as well as Erza.
Lucy had offered her bed for Kera since she was battered up and had an injured leg that needed rest, but the girl simply denied it saying that she was the guest and she could sleep on the floor as well.
So now she was waiting for the others to come back from whatever they are doing. Natsu was in the town looking for any signs of Phantom Lord with Gray while both Erza and Kera were walking around some garden or something. She wasn't really listening.
"Everything okay Lucy?" Mirajane asked her with her typical smile that could brighten up any day. The blonde gave her a sweet smile, even though it was weak. "It's nothing, just worried about our guild I guess."
Mirajane laughed. "Don't worry Lucy, everything will be alright. We've been having quarrels with them for a long time."
"But this is going way too far." Cana replied while drinking down a cup of beer.
Lucy sighed while lowering her head. Things couldn't get worse could they?
Gray suddenly came bolting down with a panicked look on his face. Everyone looked at him shocked and worried. "What's wrong Gray?"
"It's Shadow Gear."
People were crowded around a garden with a tree in the middle. They were talking to each other, that is, until a person pushed itself through the crowd. Lucy finally got through, but wished she hadn't.
In front of her stood Kera and Erza looking up at the tree in shock. Her gaze went to the tree and she gasped. Three people were chained up on the tree. It was Levy, Jet and Droy, all three of them battered and bruised while there was a symbol drawn on Levy's stomach.
Next to her she could hear a snarl. She turned around and saw Natsu standing there clenching his fists. "Phantom." He snarled.
"I can't believe it." A voice stated behind her.
Turning around she saw Makarov standing there. Erza noticed this as well. "Master."
He shook his head. "Destroying our guild is one things, but hurting my children is beyond forgivable." He hung his head.
They all watched him raise his head after a minute a dark expression covering his face. "This means war."
And there it is! Hope you guys enjoyed it. Don't forget to leave a review and to visit my other project Family. See you until the next time!
