Chapter 20 : Old Dixie
Next Morning
The group was once again traveling through the tunnels of Thunder Mountain , but now they were being lead by Silphy who seemed to know where she was going .
" Glad we found you Silphy or else we could have been stuck in these tunnels forever. " Jericho said .
" Don ' t worry about it , we are not that far from the Land of the Horse Lords . " Silphy said .
" Good , cause I could use a rest . " Adam said .
" Age catching up with you Adam ? " Matt asked .
" Speak for yourself Matthew . " Adam said .
" Don ' t make me separate you two . " Amy said .
" Sorry , " Matt and Adam both said .
" We will be out of the tunnels once we reach the other side of this last passage . " Silphy said as they entered the last passage .
" Sounds good , then I can complete my task . " Storm said .
" Which means we will be that much closer to taking down the Twelve Princes and closing the Twelve Gates . " Raven said .
" Right , " Harris agreed .
They continued on until the saw sunlight at the other end of the tunnel , they soon exited and saw what looked to be an old western style town with a temple at the far end of town . The sign entering the town was said Old Dixie , Heart of the South .
" That ' s the name of the town , Old Dixie . " Aaron said .
" Is this really the Heart of the South ? " Storm asked .
" Yes , it is , this was the first town dedicated to the Southern lifestyle . " Aaron looked at the Cowboy .
" Old Dixie . " James said .
" Lets go down and find out if we can find someone that could help us out or if one of the Elders are around . " Raven said .
" Good idea . " Aaron said .
They made their way down into the town of Old Dixie .
" Hey , Saloon . " Storm said going to walk in , but got caught by both Roode and Harris who dragged him away .
" Maybe later , Storm . " Harris said .
" Okay , damn . " James said .
" Are you guys the Shamans ? " A voice asked making them jump and look at the person .
" Yes , we are and who are you ? " Adam asked annoyed at being scared .
" The name is Dex , I am the Thunder Elder . " Dex pulled the hood off of his head , he had short hair and grey eyes , he looked like a stern man .
James looked at him up and down .
" I am Aaron Riley of the Arctic Rose Clan and Wolf Shaman , we have come so that the Stallion Shaman can complete his task . " Aaron said .
" Zacharai sent his word that you were coming , first we go to the Temple of the Stallion , so you can retrieve what you will need to reach the top of Thunder Mountain . " Dex said looking at the peak of Thunder Mountain .
Storm looked up with fear cause it was very high up and he was afraid of heights . Harris, Roode , and Raven looked at the Cowboy knowing what he was thinking and it was of completing his task , but having to climb up to high spot to reach his task .
" Is there a path ? " Storm asked .
" Yes , you won ' t have to climb it like you are thinking cause Thunderbolt has to go up their with you , but you will need certain tools to complete your task that can only be acquired in the Temple of the Stallion . " Dex explain .
" Good , " James said relieved .
" Lets go to the Temple . " Dex said again as they followed him through town to the Temple of the Stallion .
" We are getting closer to closing the Gates . " Harris said .
" Good cause we need the time to be on ourside instead of theirs . " Raven said .
" How dangerous can the top of the Thunder Mountain be ? " Jericho wondered .
" Good question . " Jay said .
" If its anything like getting into Tunnels of Thunder Mountain then it will be very dangerous , but Storm will be the only one going up their . " Aaron said .
" So , it will be like Roode completing his task to get the rest of his Wolverine Shaman powers in the Wolverine ' s Den . " Mark said .
" Exactly . " Aaron said .
" Storm are you ready for this ? " Glen asked the Cowboy .
" As soon as I get the tools necessary to help me complete my task then yes I will be Glen . " James said .
" We believe in you James . " Raven said .
" Yeah , brother , we know you will complete your task . " Harris said .
" You never let us down . " Roode added .
" Thanks guys for the vote of confidence . " Storm said .
They were now at the temple door , Dex stopped to give them some instructions .
" While in here don ' t wonder away from the Stallion Shaman , his powers are the only thing that will protect you in here . " Dex said .
" Right , " The Shamans and Fallen Warrior agreed .
Then they enter the Temple of the Stallion .
