(Quick pre-fight note: I will be giving Sora the armor I have equipped on him in KH2 Final Mix: The Cosmic Chain, the Gaia Belt, The Midnight Anklet and Grand Ribbon. Total defensive stats: 71 Defense: 47% resistance to fire and blizzard/ice, 58% resistance to thunder/electricity and 52% resistance to Darkness. He will be using Ultima Weapon)
Bayonetta had just eliminated a group of demon, when not far away she heard the sound of fighting still happening. As it was night time with no clouds in the way to block the moon, she was easily able to run up the wall of a large building and get to the roof, looking down and seeing a boy with a sword that looked like a key fighting a group of small, strange black demons she had never seen before. He defeated them all with ease as Bayonetta jumped down. "Very impressive, little one." She said, Sora turning around to see her.
"Uh, thanks. But my name's Sora. Who are you?" He asked.
"Bayonetta or Cereza, whichever one you prefer." The Umbran Witch answered.
"Nice to meet you." He said.
"You as well, LITTLE ONE." Bayonetta said, emphasizing "little one" to tease the boy before her.
"I told you, my name's SORA!" Sora snapped, annoyed by the tall woman's teasing.
"If you want me to call you by your name, you'll have to earn that. You won't believe how hard Luka had to work for it before I stopped calling him 'Cheshire.'" She said with a grin.
"And how exactly do I earn that?" Sora asked.
"Well, I saw you hand those little beasties, so I'm curious to see your power. Why don't you show it to me." She said, getting ready to fight.
"Oh, so you want to fight, huh? I can do that." Sora said, getting ready to fight.
Background music: "Light and Darkness" From Fate/Stay Night
Sora rushed in, dodging or deflecting the bullets Bayonetta fired at him. As he swung his Keyblade Bayonetta activated Witch Time in an attempt to freeze him, but to her amazement, he was completely uneffected by her magic, the Keyblade still coming at her, to which she jumped back at the last second. "Well, that was unexpected. I may actually have fun with this." She said, swapping out her guns for Shuraba, her nightmarish katana that steals its victims' souls. She rushed in and swung her blade down at Sora, who was able to stop it. He then pushed back and stomped the ground, creating a small shockwave that staggered Bayonetta and allowed Sora to deliver a powerful combo, ending in a powerful finishing attack with 3 fast-spinning orbs of light circling him, damaging Bayonetta and launching her back.
"How'd you like that?!" Sora said confidently, raising a fist in victory.
"Impressive. A wielder of light, but certainly not a Lumen Sage. Round one goes to you, little one." She said.
"That's SORA!" He shouted, pointing his Keyblade at her and firing a large fireball at her.
She nimbly dodged this, looking at the boy in surprise. "Well, well. You certainly have quite a few tricks up your sleeves. But I still have a few myself." She said, turning into a panther and lunging at him, but he managed to stop her before she could attack and throw her back. She returned to human form and landed in a rather sexual, cat-like pose. "Quite the reflexes you have. Not many opponents can stop me in that form." She said, getting up.
"It happens when you have to dodge lasers and beams of light as much as I do." Sora said.
"Cheeky little one. I like that." She said, readying her elemental claws, Durga. She rushed in again and attacked, Sora still managing to either dodge or block all of her attacks. (I'm clearly faster, but he's fast enough to keep up. I still haven't shown him everything, though.) She thought. She struck out with the claws, currently using electric power, which Sora blocked, but she then charged up a large ball of electricity and blasted him back a bit, taking him off-guard. She then rushed forward, lashing out with both the claws in fire mode and her deadly ice skates Odette, knocking Sora back, having done some serious damage. "It looks like I've won round two, darling." She taunted.
"Not bad, but I'm not finished yet. Heal!" Sora said, raising his Keyblade. Suddenly, green energy and clovers spiraled around him, all of his injuries being gone.
"That's interesting. You'll have to show me how to do that after your spanking." Bayonetta said teasingly.
Sora was caught off-guard by this, stepping back and blushing a bit. "Uh... I don't think so. I'm gonna win this fight.
"We'll have to see about that." She said. Suddenly, she looked as if she was dancing, then her hair unwound around her, just covering her private areas before disappearing into a portal, rising up behind Sora as a massive dragon.
"Whoa!" Sora said, jumping back as the dragon tried to bite him. "I've dealt with things like this before." He said, rushing in and attacking, managing to dodge the dragon's attacks and deliver his own. Eventually, he was able to deal enough damage to make Gomorrah retreat back into its portal.
Bayonetta scoffed at this as her hair returned and covered her body once more. "I need more loyal pets." She said, lashing out at Sora with her snake-like whip Kulshedra, but once again, Sora was able to stop her attacks. "You're only making this harder on both of us, little one." She said, equipping her heavy rocket launchers, firing a number at the boy, but he was still able to dodge them.
"Let's see how well you dodge these." Bayonetta said, unleashing her wicked weaves, the magic arms and legs coming out of nowhere and striking at high speeds, starting to deal damage to the boy once again. "Time to put you down for a nap now, little one." She said, this time summoning Hekatoncheir, the 6 arms slamming into the Keyblade-wielder, but were suddenly stopped by a field of light around the boy that burst outward.
The boy was different now. He was now floating with a second Keyblade floating behind him with the other one, his clothes a mixture of black and pure white. "Sorry, but it's not my bedtime yet." Sora said, unleashing a blinding-fast series of attacks, fighting back the arms and floating towards Bayonetta, unleashing a seemingly endless combo of attacks with light-based magic thrown in, doing serious damage to the Umbran Witch, knocking her back.
"So, you were still hiding some power. Very interesting. Maybe I should start being serious as well." Bayonetta said, now glowing with a powerful red aura. She rushed in as Sora flew towards her. He lashed out again with powerful attacks, but she managed to dodge enough of them to find an opening and delivered a couple of very powerful attacks fueled with dark magic, knocking Sora back, but he was still capable of going, especially after healing himself again. Bayonetta's aura died down and she switched back to Shuraba, doing her best to attack Sora, but he was still capable of defending himself while still landing a large number of attacks on her. Once, he even stopped and created a barrier around himself just before Bayonetta attacked, absorbing her attacks and reflecting the damage right back at her for major damage. She was once again knocked back just before Sora's drive ran out and he returned to normal, both of them visibly tiring, but Bayonetta appeared to be nearly exhausted, whereas Sora only seemed slightly winded.
"Ready to give up yet?" He asked.
Bayonetta glared a bit, but straightened up, exiting any kind of fighting stance.
End music
"I believe I've seen enough, yes. You were a better challenge than the angels I'm so used to fighting." She said.
"Yeah. The Heartless aren't nearly as hard to beat as you are." Sora said, walking up to her, reaching into his pocket and holding his hand out. She extended her own hand, allowing him to drop a strange green item into her hand. "There. That will let you do the healing magic I can use." Sora said.
"Excellent. That will give a good number of my enemies a nasty little surprise." She said, walking away. She stopped after a little bit and looked back over her shoulder at him. "Thanks for the fight and the magic... Sora." She said, walking off.
"That's more like it." Sora said happily, walking off his own direction.
Analysis:
1: In case it wasn't clear, it's a tie. This fight was surprisingly close. At first, even I thought it'd be an easy win for Bayonetta: She has almost every physical advantage, being far stronger, faster and more durable, but Sora is fast enough and has fast enough reactions to dodge most if not all of her attacks and weapons, as well as being durable enough to take a decent amount of her attacks, coupled with his healing magic and a number of techniques that prevent him from being one-shotted or taken out in a single combo. Also, his armor gave his great defense and a large amount of resistance to a number of her attacks.
2: Bayonetta also had the advantage of being able to summon monsters, and if she had been able to move while using a summon, she probably could've taken him. In addition to again, being able to dodge most of their attacks, Sora has dealt with similar enemies to just about all of Bayonetta's summons and should be able to handle them. Also, with his drives, especially Final Form, Sora becomes immensely more powerful and could take down the summons and do Bayonetta some serious damage.
3:Bayonetta is more skilled and experienced than Sora, but she tends to rely more on her Witch Time than actual skill and Sora has fought a FAR more diverse and larger number of enemies, where Bayonetta's enemies are quite less and mostly the same. Also, in one game, Sora was shown to be immune to time-stopping magic, so it would make sense he'd be immune to Witch Time as well.
4: At a distance, neither one would be very effective: both have been shown to have AT LEAST hypersonic reflexes and therefore would easily be able to dodge just about anything the other could throw at them, but Bayonetta COULD possibly catch Sora off-guard with her wicked weaves and deal him considerable damage, but he has taken hits from god-level beings and, in a moment of danger, he would be able to access Final Form and change the tides of the fight.
5: Ultimately, it would come down to who could do the most damage at close-quarters combat: Bayonetta has the physical advantages, but almost all of Sora's enemies are stronger than him and he beats them, even without help, as he has a number of counters to stop an enemy's attacks and break through their defenses and magic that can take the damage an opponent would do to him and send it right back at them. Also, he has his own time-stopping magic, which could possibly effect Bayonetta, as she is shown to be susceptible to Balder's Witch Time. I didn't use that, but it's something to think about. And while Bayonetta has the ability to turn into bats and avoid enemy attacks, but Sora's rapid attacks in Final Form and immunity to Witch Time would give him an advantage over that ability.
6: Bayonetta's over-reliance on Witch Time puts her at a disadvantage when fighting enemies that are resistant to it, which Sora is, so off-hand, the fight would be significantly more difficult for her. But still, a draw is the fairest thing I could think of for this fight
