Chapter 20.
AN: I'm planning on wrapping this up in 5 chapters or less. Just saying.
Everyone took a place and they were all asleep in moments it was a difficult night and very confusing, the only light in the whole house that was on was the lamp in the corner of the living room. It was a warm and calm atmosphere, the only problem was what the morning would bring...
It was 5am, so only hours later however Luka was awake and in the kitchen, she was making herself a cup of tea, she closed the door over so she wouldn't wake anyone else up, well she thought she wouldn't but was taken by surprise when Kaito walked through into the kitchen.
"Morning Luka." Kaito said sleepily,
"Good morning, tea?" She asked perkily,
"Please, I needed to ask you something..." Kaito started but yawned so couldn't quite get to the question,
"You're in perfect time, kettle's just boiled, I'll pour you a cup." Luka said going into the cupboard looking for Kaito's cup.
"Thanks Luka, right about that question..." He started but evidently didn't need to finish,
"You were planning on asking out Miku but don't know how to do it because even thought she's head over heel's for you, you're somehow still scared she'll say no?" Luka said handing him his deep blue cup over,
"Yeah, how'd you... Know?" Kaito asked sitting down with his hands wrapped around the mug,
"Everyone knows Kaito." Luka said smirking and sipping her tea,
"So... Can you help or not?" Kaito said looking at her with awe,
"Of course I can. What exactly do you need help with?" Luka asked him,
"Well... Everything, I mean we're older now, so it has to sound legit but I don't want her to take it too seriously because I love her cute and childish side, it's actually adorable." Kaito said,
"Well first dates for Miku never end well and you're lucky she tells ME why." Luka said,
"So why do they go wrong?" Kaito asked,
"Well, they always start okay, nice guy casual clothes just a nice trip to the cinema and he'll pay get a huge bag of popcorn and some Pocky and juice and it'll be all good until it comes to taking her home." Luka stopped and finished her tea,
"Why? What happens then?" Kaito asked his eyes wide,
"They drive her home, open the car door to let her out and then just close the door and drive away, no call the next day and they're with someone else before she has a second chance." Luka finished,
"So what does she want after being dropped off?!" Kaito asked,
"You're kidding right?" Luka asked,
"Not at all." Kaito said drinking his tea,
"She wants walked to the door and kissed goodbye with a call or text the next morning." Luka said putting her cup in the sink,
"Right. Got it, I think, how do I actually..." Kaito started,
"Ask her out?" Luka finished,
"Yup, that." Kaito said furring his eyebrows,
"Well... It depends." Luka said,
"On what?" He asked,
"What you taking her to see?" Luka asked,
"I wasn't thinking of an expensive night out, I have something in mind, I think it'll work, it's more my style." Kaito said to her,
"Right, what day?" Luka asked,
"I was thinking Sunday?" Kaito said with uncertainty,
"Good, nice and easy, now all you have to say, is something really really simple." Luka said smiling and cleaning her mug,
"What do I say?" Kaito said handing his mug over,
"Are you free on Sunday?" Luka asked re-explaining to him,
"That it?" Kaito asked,
"Yeah." Luka said giggling,
"I could have guessed that!" Kaito said putting his hand in his hands on the table,
"Never the less, thank you Luka." Kaito said getting up and hugging her for her efforts she obliged and hugged back,
"Wow, good morning, Luka who knew you were the flirt?" Miku said from the kitchen door,
"No, it's not like that at all." Luka rushed,
"It's not Miku." Kaito said walking through the door and placing a hand on her shoulder,
"Now it comes to mind, I need to talk to you later, alone." Kaito said into her ear, Luka could clearly see what he was doing and it was certainly working,
"o-o-okay." Miku stuttered out holding back a whimper at the closeness of him, it sent shivers down her spine.
"Guys, snap out of it, Miku who else is up?" Luka asked, Kaito smirked and went up the stairs.
"Oh my god how perfect is he?" Miku effectively screamed before sitting down,
"You didn't answer my question." Luka said sitting opposite her,
"I didn't hear a question..." Miku dazed off,
"Oh you're useless when you're love struck." Luka said going through to the living room, where everyone was talking, not physically up but they were all effectively awake.
"Who's for tea?" Luka asked from the door way,
"Trust you to already be up." Rin groaned from the couch.
"You know me." Luka smiled she walked over and crouched in front of Len,
"Wake up." she said shaking him, he steadily awakened,
"Morning..." Luka whispered to him under the sound of everyone else talking normally,
"Hey..." Len said before coughing and hiding under the covers,
"You're ill aren't you?" Luka said taking his temperature, Len didn't actually respond with words but he made a loud groaning noise that indicated, not very well.
"I'll make you something?" Luka asked but he just hid under the covers further,
"Or not... Huh?" Luka said rubbing his side,
"Morning Luka..." Zatsune whispered from the other end of the couch, of yeah, it was all coming back to her, Luka and Len head and tailed with Zatsune.
"Oh, good morning." Luka said turning all her attention to Zatsune,
"Make him something warm to drink and I'll get the hot water running for him." Zatsune said to her getting up off the couch,
"Thanks Zatsune." Luka said landing a kiss on Len's forehead before going through to the kitchen.
"Luka!" Oliver called out,
"Yeah." She turned,
"Forgetting something?" Oliver asked,
"What?" Luka asked,
"Oh!" She realised,
"Who wants tea?" Luka asked again waiting for an answer,
"Me."
"Me."
"Me."
"Me."
"Me."
"Me."
"Me."
"Me."
"Me."
"Me."
"And one for me!" Luka said smiling walking through,
"So that's 11 genius counter!" Mikuo called through,
"Got it!" Luka responded.
Zatsune ran up the stairs and ran a bath for Len, it was a massive house, goodness knows why she only stayed in the living room with them all night, she should have come exploring.
"So wait a minute." Oliver said sitting up,
"What's up Oliver?!" Gumi asked him, turning to face him,
"So, Luka's with Len." Oliver established,
"Yes." Len said through the blanket,
"I'm with Neru." Oliver said looking at Neru in his arms,
"Yup and you're stuck with me." Neru answered smiling,
"Grell and Mikuo?" Oliver asked cautiously,
"Well of course! This gorgeous boy's all mines and I'm never sharing!" Grell sang out hugging onto Mikuo who just grunted and didn't bother fighting back,
"Right so that means... Gumi." Oliver stated looking at her,
"Yeah!" Gumi sprung into spirit, first time someone addressed her directly in the whole time they were there,
"Who do you love?" Oliver asked playing with Neru's hair,
"No one." She answered,
"Gumi?" Oliver asked,
"Yes." She answered,
"Are you a lesbian?" Oliver asked everyone sniggered,
"No." She said before shaking her head and heading to the down stairs toilet,
"So we all know Miku and Kaito will end up together, who's Rin into?" Mikuo asked,
"I don't know..." Miku said,
"I wonder..." Len started,
"You got an idea?" Grell asked,
"Maybe it's Gakupo." Len said through the covers still,
"Oh my god." Miku said sitting up,
"That would explain so much." Gumi said.
"It totally would..." Neru said turning round,
"What explains what?" Luka said walking into the living room with tea cups on two trays balanced on each arm,
"We think Rin's into Gakupo." Mikuo said sniggering at the though,
"It would explain why she was so quiet when he was at Miku's." Luka said placing the trays down everyone drinking their tea,
"That purple butt was in our house!" Mikuo said looking at Miku sternly,
"Yeah..." Miku squeaked under her mug,
"Is that some type of problem?" Zatsune came down the stairs asking,
"Yes. It is. Miku we talked about this, of all people!" Mikuo said walking into the kitchen with his cup in hand, he's not all that mad if he can't leave his mug of tea.
"I'll talk to him." Grell said getting up and straightening his top,
"That escalated quickly, what went down there?" Rin asked,
"Well, Gakupo used to be a real bully to my brother since he's into guys and beat him up sometimes..." Miku stopped,
"Excuse me." Zatsune said getting up and leaving, Luka automatically followed her to talk to her,
"It wasn't good and one day my brother finally fought back and beat him real good and that's why he and Gakupo had to move to different schools and stuff. It was pretty serious stuff but there's been a mild hatred ever since." Miku said, shrugging her shoulders, "However, he didn't say anything to us after he left, he took his leave and never talked to me until now so I had no way of knowing if it was okay to talk to him or not so I didn't let it effect me." Miku said smiling.
"Wow, so it was serious but you really just don't care?" Rin said bluntly,
"Not at all." Miku said drinking her tea.
"Case closed then." Gumi said sipping her tea,
"How does she just make everyone's tea perfectly?" Kaito said placing his cup down,
"Like earlier this morning, I was given the most amazing cup of tea ever by that woman and I never even told her what to put in it!" Kaito said running his fingers through his hair, Miku almost dropped her cup at the sight,
"Right..." Miku dazed off looking at him,
"Kaito!" Gumi whined,
"What?" He asked letting his hair fall onto his face, Miku fainted,
"She's useless when she's lovestruck..." Rin said under her breath getting water for Miku,
"Oh... Sorry..." Kaito said going over to Len,
"Right bruh, you're going to need to clean if you still want a freaking girlfriend by the end of the day so come on. I'm the only guy left, do I need to carry you bruh?" Kaito said to Len quietly though the covers,
"I'm... Not... Moving..." Len said slowly,
"Sorry bruh." Kaito said lifting him up bridal style,
"KAITO!" the girls shouted,
"What?" He said turning round Len in his arms,
"Stop making her faint!" The said in unison,
"Fine. Fine." He took his leave with Len who was squirming around like a fish out of water. Kaito proceeded to take him up the stairs and washed him... In a manly way?
Meanwhile with Luka and Zatsune (Again)
"Zatsune, slow down." Luka called down the hall reaching for her arm,
"I'm sorry I couldn't be around someone with that being the topic of discussion." Zatsune continued to storm down the hall into the dining room where there was a back door to the garden,
"You'll freeze in pyjamas get away from the door, I don't want you getting ill." Luka said running out after her,
"I'll be fine." Zatsune said opening the door to gaze upon the beautiful green garden with flowers everywhere and tall trees around the back of the fence separating their house from the woods behind them.
"Oh my god..." Zatsune started, "It's beautiful." she finished a tear forming in her eye,
"Just like your parents." Luka said smiling next to her,
"They loved their garden, with all their hearts..." Zatsune said letting the tears fall,
"You never cry..." Luka said wrapping an arm around her,
"I'm never that upset, I didn't even ask." Zatsune said wiping her face,
"Ask what?" Luka said,
"Can I live with you? Can my sister help me be free?" Zatsune said smiling through the tears,
"Of course you can." Luka said hugging her round the waist and Zatsune wrapped her arms around her neck,
"You're the best sister ever." Zatsune said pecking her head,
"Anything for you." Luka said looking out among the garden,
"You don't need to go back to them any more." Luka started tightening her grip on her waist,
"I won't let them near you ever again, I promise." she finished looking her in the eye,
"I love you Luka, you're the best anyone could ask for." Zatsune said leaping (literally) into her arms.
"I love you too sis." Luka said picking her up and turning her round in the door way. (yeah they're both THAT skinny)
"What if they follow me?" Zatsune said after Luka put her down,
"Then I'll move." Luka said smiling, "I told you, they're not getting you back, ever." Luka said hugging onto her,
"I don't need to live with Len right?" Zatsune said laughing,
"Not at all." Luka said laughing with her,
"Let's go back yeah? That's all behind you now and I'll be here to help with the other stuff okay?" Luka said taking her hand,
"Thank you." Zatsune said jumping onto her back, piggy back style back to the living room.
"You guys are closer every time we see you." Miku said,
"Yeah, what gives?" Rin asked,
"It's time?" Luka asked,
"I'm ready." Zatsune said,
"Right well, last night, we maybe lied a little, we ran away into the dining room and talked a lot, turned on the light and I signed some papers." Luka started before she was smiling like crazy.
"Luka's now my legal sister because the lawyer said if anyone was crazy enough to agree to it, they were allowed." Zatsune said hugging onto Luka tighter,
"Since we're now related in eyes of the Law, she's coming to live with me since we're both the right age." Luka finished holding the underneath of Zatsune's knees that were around her stomach.
"That's great you guys!" Miku said getting up and hugging them both, Rin and Gumi did the same.
"Why is it girlies hugging day?" Kaito asked coming down the stairs with a very, drained looking Len,
"Luka and Zatsune are related now and moving in together." Miku said hugging onto them more,
"Oh my gosh, congratulations Zatsune!" Kaito said ruffling her hair up,
"That's great sweetie, I'm proud of you both." Len sort of mumbled but said to them,
"I'll make him some soup or something, Zatsune's making tea, I'll tell her how to make them don't worry." Luka said walking through to the kitchen Zatsune still on her back,
"That's great for her, she's finally going to live in a happy environment." Rin said relaxing on the couch.
"Hey guys, Mikuo feeling any better?" Luka asked as him and Grell were still in the kitchen,
"Yeah, much, can't believe she still let him in." Mikuo said sulking on the seat,
"Look bro." Zatsune started,
"From bro to bro, he didn't do anything to her, I know it's tough to hear but as much of a douche and as he was to you, did he ever hurt her?" Zatsune asked,
"Well no..." Kaito said,
"So go apologise will ya? And cheer up!" Zatsune said ruffling his hair, Mikuo was out the kitchen in less than a minute and apologised right away, Grell thanked Zatsune and she continued making tea for people.
"Who's Sam?" Zatsune asked,
"What?" Luka snapped round and looked at her,
"He's got a mug..." Zatsune asked handing it over, there it was, it was written on the mug... "Sam"
"No idea, maybe an old friend of Rin's or something." Luka said putting the cup to the side,
"Other than that, there's 11 mugs." Zatsune said,
"What's your point?" Luka asked,
"Oh yeah you were asleep, I'm going to run this past the guys, I'll be back in a minute." Zatsune said picking up the mug but Luka grabbed her wrist and stopped her,
"Zatsune. What happened last night?" Luka asked,
"Someone played a joke, one of the guys." Zatsune lied and ran through.
"Guys..." Zatsune said closing the kitchen door,
"What's up Zat?" Rin asked,
"Remember that thing with the mugs last night?" Zatsune asked, looking at the mug in her hand,
"Who's mug is that Zatsune?" Rin asked looking at it,
"There was an extra, an empty extra..." Zatsune continued,
"Who's name is on that mug Zatsune?" Miku asked her,
"Zatsune!" Gumi said,
"It's Sam's." Zatsune said turning the black mug with "Sam" written on it in white writing,
"Who's Sam guys?" Zatsune asked,
"You could say an old friend." Grell said seriously getting up and taking the mug off her,
"He's not doing anything again, don't you worry guys, I'll fix it." Grell said heading to the front door that was in the hall space between the living room and the kitchen,
"Where are you going?" Gumi asked him,
"I'm going to pay him a visit." Grell said putting his shoes on,
"You're not dressed to go outside." Zatsune said running towards him,
"I'm not going out, don't be crazy... I'm going down." Grell said before vanishing in thin air.
"Who is that guy?" Mikuo asked,
"You're the one asking that? Really brother, really?" Miku said going back through to the living room to see Luka placing the soup and tea cups down,
"I assumed you were all coming back in once you had finished staring at the door?" Luka said everyone piling in again,
"He was right there." Kaito said walking in,
"You didn't make tea for Grell?" Gumi asked,
"He said he was seeing Sam didn't he?" Luka said sitting down taking her mug,
"How'd you know though?" Len asked sitting next to her, lying on her lap,
"I can hear through walls sweetie." Luka said before planting a kiss on his head,
"It's like 11am guys... Wanna get changed and head down town later?" Neru asked,
"Hell yeah!" Oliver responded,
"Then we can hit clubs later in the night?!" Kaito said,
"Yup yup." Zatsune said before drinking her tea, they planned the night away and drank lots and lots of tea, Len recovered and the night came...
