Mai moved away from Alice and walked up to Lin's laptop. A girl with olive ton skin and big brown eyes and curly blonde hair stared right back at Mai. "Her hair was all tangled, the bruises on her really pale skin and blood stains on her clothes and hair." Alice sat up "She was murdered, I saw it and felt it somewhat." Naru helped Alice stand "Anything we can go off on?" Alice then said "Yes, I heard a womens voice and let say she felt no remorse. How big is this property? I am going to think like a crazy person for a sec and say that this house is in the almost in the middle of nowhere. I said this would be a perfect area for a crime." Lin then chimmed in with "It's possible but we can't just assume its Trish right away we could be wrong, did you see the killer?" Alice sighed "no, sadly I didnt. This girl-" she looked at the photo and saw the name on the file "Lilly, was looking at some nature and was attacked from behind. Like hit with a blunt object."

Naru stood there in silence thinking in deep thought "hey Naru? you okay?" Monk asked. He finally looked at Monk then at the rest of us "This has gotten serious, we have dealt with something like this before and Mai was the one who ended up hurt. So i suggest this, there are to many of us and I cant keep track of all of you." Ayako glared at Naru "what do you mean by that? We have dealt with something like this before what makes this different now?" Naru cold eyes locked with Ayako's "I am trying to prevent that situation happen again, Alice even ran into an unlucky situation when she first started but that client wasnt the cause or much of a threat." Naru's mind went to that day an how much he wanted to punch that guy in the face. His mind then wandered to Mai who was now carrying a child. "Point is we are in the middle of nowhere with two possible suspect, most likely Trish but thats not the point." "I suggest a few stay and a few go, you will still get paid. I want Mai and Ayako to go along with Masako and Alice." Alice glared at Naru along with Mai and Ayako "So you are saying we are in the way?" Mai said. Alice was angry, she didnt want to appear weak in front of him but also she didnt need someone protecting her. She has been alone since her mother died and her father no longer showed intrest being a part of her life. She has always been alone, but then again she wasnt and maybe she shouldnt be to angry with him but she cant help it, she was in this together with him. "Mai" He gave her a strong and direct look and she knew what that look meant; the fact she was with child.

She let out a heavy sigh of defeat and Ayako couldnt help but give Mai a look, she usually wouldn't give in but the fact that she did raised some questions for later. "Fine, I will go." As Ayako and Mai left the room to gather there things and to help Masako with things since she was still out. Alice then said "I am not going" Naru then said "You have no choice in this matter, its a direct order." This pushed Alice over the edge "You don't own me! I am here to help Naru, you hired me in order to help you with these cases. I know what happpened the last few cases with me but hell trouble follows me I can't help it but thats is not going to stop me." Naru slammed his hands on his desk, waking up Masako "Takigawa, John help Ms, Hara to her room and help with her things and explain the situation." They gave Naru a wary look and did not argue with him at all. They helped the weak Masako to her feet and escorted her out the room while the couple still began to argue. "That is exactly why i am asking you to leave, I dont need you to get in the way." Alice eyes frustration shined in her eyes and Naru could tell he was really getting under her skin but it was for the best or so he thought.

"Oliver, I am not leaving and that is that. Mai and Masako make since along with Ayako only because Mai is pregnant, Masako is in a weakened state and Ayako can look after them! Monk and John along with Lin can protect you but I can help you to move the case along and the sooner it's done the sooner we can move away from possible danger." Naru closed his eye for a second to keep his composure and Lin kept looking at Naru making sure he didnt lose control of his PK. "You are leaving and thats final, you have no say in this." Alice wanted to scream "Damn it!" As she let out a shout the tea cup that sat in front of Naru shattered, Alice turned her back and marched up to the door. "If you want me to leave so bad then fine! The front door flew open and she saw Trish's husband standng before her "Going somewhere?" Alice's then said "I just need some air, I have been researching all day. We have made progress so we should be out soon." He just nodded and moved to the side. Alice stormed out and began to walk, Gene: Alice, do you want to talk?

Alice: I don't know Gene, do I really get in the way?

Gene: He is trying to protect you that is all

Alice: I don't need protection, I can take care of myself just fine.

Gene: this isn't like you at all, well sort of but you have to understand.

Alice: Understand what!

Gene: He doesn't want to lose you like he lost me.

Alice stopped in her tracks, Gene did have a point but still it didn't seem like it when he told her that she was in the way. She let out a sigh,"I guess this counts as our first couples fight I guess." She then looked to see she had wandered in the woods, "When did I get here?" "Well you were blinded by rage and just wandered off. Alice let out a sigh "Ugh I always do this to myself. Well since I am here might as well look around." Gene: "Alice I suggest you go back, I have a weird feeling about this area. Also if it gets dark you will freeze out here." Alice ignored his words and began to go further, it was oddly very quiet out here. A chill crept down her spin, the cold wind played with her dark hair. Her honey eyes taking in the trees and some of the leaves that have fallen on the ground. "seriously its so quiet out here its so-" she let out a scream. Alice! She fell forward down tumbling down a downward slope. Alice tumbled down closing her eyes; she finally stopped. The world spun around her. Alice dont you do this to me again, Naru is right you are one of hell of a girl who gets in trouble. Get up. Right now. Alice took a deep breathe and shut her eyes for the moment and then slowly opened it. Alice slowly sat up and felt a something soft. She pulled at the fabric and noticed a dark blue sweater, she noticed there were some blood stains. She quickly dropped the sweater, "Oh my god." Gene: You need to get out of there! Alice slightly stumbled as she stood, she stared at the sweater again. She picked up the sweater and closed her eyes, she tuned out the world around her and felt the tug. Alice looked around and reconized the girl that stood before her. Lilly was wearing the light blue sweater, her hand was on her stomach. "She can not know, I know he loves me. He has too, but I dont know if I can tell him. He is with her and I can't do this alone." A tear streamed down her face "But he is a rich and I am nothing." Lilly wiped the single tear from her face and sighed "I will figure it out I promise, after all he is one of those men who can have anyone. I am just another notch on his belt."

A figure hid behind some trees, "Oh no Lilly run!" The figure rushed out and nailed her on the head with a rock. The beautiful blonde fell forward and hit the ground with a thud. Alice couldnt believe was she was seeing then again, she was always seeing these things. She has been seeing these things since she was a tiny girl, being able to see the past and all the good and the bad with it. The figure turned around and Alice instantly was angry. Trish pulled back her black hoodie, "Stupid girl, yu think every man will fall for you because of your 'innocense' but no me, I can see through your facade. The way you look at him and flaunt your youth and beauty at him. Please you pathetic little girl. He just used you, you are nothing but an insect and I will get rid of you. I am tired dealing with little girls like you trying to steal him away from me." She turned Lilly over who was trying to keep her eyes open. Lilly then whispered "He loves me and I know it, he will love his child." She slapped her and proceeded to choke the poor girl; Alice stood there mortified.

Alice closed her eyes "Stop it...just stop!" The connection broke and looked around to see she was back to the present. The sun was starting to set, "Gene I was right all along. Trish is dating a rich playboy who set his eyes on this innocent girl and dragged her in this mess. Didnt help that she was the maid here and I am pretty sure she had many more before her and probably got rid of them by firing them or chasing them off most likely at least thats what I am thinking. Lilly was very unlucky, She was going to have a child, two lives were taken. Tirsh was jealous of young girls since she was getting old, then when she heard Lilly mentioning her unborn child and that set her over the edge." Alice sat down with the jacket in her hands "Her body must be close by..." "ALICE!" Alice heard someone shouting her name in the distance. She looked at the jacket and thought I hope Tirsh or her playboy of a husband are with the group. She found a tree and pilled some leaves over the jacket hiding the potential evidence. "I will be back Lilly, I promise." Alice rushed back up to her feet and began to walk up the hill. "Monk! John?" Alice nearly tripped but caught herself "Alice!" She smiled as she spotted the guys along with Naru behind them.

**NARU POV

Oliver let out a sigh as he heard the girl walk out the door. He noticed Trish's Husband enter the room "Right on time, I have a question to ask you." The man seemed calm and collective and said "Sure whatever I can do to get this moving along. No offense this has been dragging along and Trish has been driving me nuts this past week." Oliver was intrigued from his comment, she called them out here and now wants them out? "I noticed you had a few maids out here, most of them have been let go. Why is that?" The man slicked his hair back showing a sign of stress "Trish is somewhat of a special woman, I guess they didnt meet some of her requiements. Also-" a cocky smile appeared on his face "and I have a slight wandering eye and she is the jealous type. What can I say I apprechiate beautiful women." Naru felt disgusted by his statement but he need all the information he can get to get everyone out of here, especially Alice.

Ayako and the girls left already, he didnt want to stay any longer but he wish Alice left. He didnt want her to get hurt especially of this guy was around, Alice was a beautiful young women. As a matter a fact he didnt want any young woman around this guy, but Alice was his special someone so especially her. "I found a file of a Maid named Lilly Kurosaki, she vanished." He shrugged "Honestly I have no idea what happened to that poor thing, how sad she was the most beautiful." Naru interest peeked, it really does seem he has no idea what might of happened to this young woman. "Thank you for your time." He nodded and left the room, "Hey Naru have you seen Alice?" Naru looked at Takigawa "She's not outside?" John walked in the room "I just checked and I didnt see her outside." Naru closed his eyes for a sec, always getting into trouble. He let out a sigh, he felt his chest sink slightly bringing him back to the day he saw Gene's death. You have better not gotten yourself into trouble. "You two start looking outside I will be out in a second." Lin and Naru stood up "Are you alright?" He gave Lin a look " I am perfectly fine" Lin sighed "I know you are not, you look slightly pale."Oliver gave the tall chinese man a glare. "I am sure she didnt wander far, this girl has a nack of getting in trouble." Lin couldnt help but agree then again he can relate since Mai is the same, even more now after she died and came back. Her psychic ability has been amplified and now she was bearing his child who was going to be possibly gifted because of her and him.

Naru look around the room and found a her gloves on the coffee table. He walked over and picked them up, "Oliver you shouldnt use your ability." Oliver then said "I know but I need too, or we will never find her at this rate." His eyes went towards the window and notice the sun was slowly starting to fade. He looked at the gloves once again and couldn't help but worry what he was going to see. You never worry much so why now? Because she was able to breach your walls. He took a single deep breath and in an instant images flashed. He saw trees which indicated she was in the forest and then he saw her. Her long dark hair danced in the air, she held her arms across her chest as she walked indicating she was either cold or uncomfortable. Next thing he knew he heard her scream and falling along with Gene's voice shouting her name. Oliver awoke from his trance, and the next thing he knew he flew out the door with Lin behind him. "What did you see?" Lin couldn't help but wonder what has gone into him and what did he see. It must of been serious for him to be darting out the door like that and Lin couldn't help but worry if Alice was okay.

Oliver caught sight of Takigawa and Brown calling out to Alice. When he reached the two men he said "any luck?" Monk noticed he was breathing a little heavy, he couldn't but wonder if he was okay. "No but I am sure we will find her, I don't think she went too far." Oliver kept his composure, this wasn't the time to think the worse but he was having a hard convincing himself because of what he saw and the echo of his twin brothers voice. Takigawa began shouting her name again, once again now answer. Oliver looked around and noitced it was very quiet, he then began to think if the spirit that haunted the area had anything to do with it. His train of thought was broken when he heard some rustling, Takigawa and Brown shouted her name. This time his eyes found her climbing up a small slope, her dark hair was a mess with some leaves stuck to her head. Some dirt stuck to her right cheek with a small hole which was located on her left arm was made on her black long sleeve shirt. She smiled at them and he couldnt help but let out a quiet sight of relief once his eyes landed on her.

**Alice POV

As she reached the top the Monk embraced her "You gave me a scare I couldnt help but worry we would never find you." Alice embraced him back and then stepped back "Luckly I am okay, the tumble was not fun." The monks eyes grew wide "Well that explains why you look like a tree slapped you with all these leaves sticking to you." John began to pull some of the leaves that stuck to her hair. Her eyes then landed on Naru who held a blank expression and she couldn't help but slightly worry what was going on in that head of his. She might have an idea which was probably along the lines of 'she is nothing but trouble' or 'what did she get herself into'. Alice then said "Naru I have something that will get this case wrapped up." She looked around making sure they were not being followed "Follow me" she began to slowly decend her way down. As she reached leveled ground she raced off to the tree and threw the leaves aside and found the blue sweater.

Everyone stood in silence but Alice broke it "I saw her past Naru, Trish did kill Lilly because she was pregnant with her husbands child." It was so quiet that if a pin dropped you could hear it. Alice turned around away from the group and began to walk further "I think she is nearby" Monk grabbed her shoulder stopping her "Hold on we are not going in there, if we meddle even more we are going to put ourselves in danger." Lin then said "we can do nothing more here, I will handle it from here." Alice then said "W-what will happen to Lilly?" To which John said "I am sure Lin will make sure she will get her justice but right now we need to get out of here."

They headed back to the base safely and as they began to wrap everything up Trish car pulled up. Alice tensed up but Lin said "relax I got this." She walked in once again bright red lips and buisness attire "I see you are wrapping up, finally leaving?" Lin then said "Yes everything is fine, I assure you that spirit is gone." Trish looked at all of them and her eyes set lastly on Alice, "It better i dont have time for this. Just leave." Alice glared daggers as she walked down the hall, she called us! Then again makes sense why she would call us, to get rid of Lilly and her secret to be never revealed.

Two weeks later...

BUISNESS WOMEN ARRESTED FOR THE MURDER AND DISAPPERENCE OF LILLY KUROSAKI.

Alice placed the newpaper down on the coffee table and let out a sigh of relief. I glad they got her, luckly Lin has some connections and they re opened the case since it went cold. They found her body at least another few feet or more where I found her sweater. They found some nice evidence to put this crazy woman behind bars. John and Masako who was now doing fine checked out the place and said the place was clean and that some animals actually began to appear in the area. Alice stood up and began to file and luck through some paper work. As she was filing her eyes wandered to Naru's door; she let out a heavy sigh. Ever since that incident him and I had, he really hasnt talked to me let alone socialise. I guessing this is how it ends? I cant help but feel like its my fault. A sad feeling filled her chest, well if thats what he wants well thats fine. I am still going to help find his brother even if we are not together. "Alice" her train of thouht was interuppted, "Yes?" Naru waved her in "I need to talk to you." Alice wished Mai or Lin was here but Lin was on his lunch break with Mai. Alice put on a brave face as she walked into the office. Naru leaned on his desk with his arms crossed, Alice leaned agaisnt the closed office door with her arms crossed as well.

The room was heavily quiet, both of them in black and eyes locked with each others. Naru couldn't help but to think back the first day he met this mysterious girl, who wasn't afraid of him and for once a female who wasn't drooling over him. "So what did you want to talk about?" Naru then said "I wanted to say good job on the last case" Alice eyes slightly widened "Oh um thank you, I am just glad I could help and that Lilly got some justice." Again silence both of them had there walls up again; back to square one.(A/n Mercy players anyone or just overwatch anyone?) "Okay so anything else?" Naru didn't say anything, Alice decided to bite the bullet "Look I am sorry for disappearing like that and exploding." Before she could say more, Naru walked towards her and stood in front of the girl. Her golden eyes locking with his "You idiot" then pulled her into an embrace. Alice froze but then relaxed and hugged him back, its one of those rare moments again. "Don't do that again" Alice felt him pull tighter and she said "I'm sorry." Naru then said "Don't leave my side ever again." Alice smiled as she pulled away but Naru placed his head on her left shoulder as she still leaned against the office door. "Do i really get in the way?" Naru pulled his head back and smirked at her "You do" Alice rolled her eyes and smiled "You Idiot scientist" and with that they both shared a very passionate kiss.
