Chapter XXI: Face to chain
"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
-Calvin Coolidge
Chief watched the crate yard with a trained eye. Keeping his eyes on the constant move and never moving an inch from his post. The sun rays had vanished behind the dense fog that covered the open water like a sheet of smoke. The Schnee boat had come in schedule with the dockworkers unloading all the crates. Blake and Sun had chosen to sit on the roof of the main warehouses on the far, right side. Blake was lying on her stomach with her arms crossed under her chest. She scanned the docking yard, mainly because it was filled with Schnee dust cases.
It made her feel guilty.
The Chief didn't move from atop the unit he was posted at with his rifles tripod resting at the bottom, if he could apprehend the White Fang members alive he could very well find out who was leading them and in charge. If he was right, then maybe Ozpin could infer what was going on with this past 'colleague'.
"Anything yet?" Blake's voice asked him again for the 700th time in the last 50 minutes.
"No, just wait." He told her while keeping his eyes scanning for movement below him.
"Did I miss anything?" Sun asked through the speaker. The Chief thought of Sun's presence as the actual sun itself. Too bright and getting in your eyes; a distraction. He wouldn't serve much purpose other than getting shot through. Attempts to get him and Blake to leave were futile. He'd have a word with Ozpin later of her refusal to obey orders.
"No, stay put and don't alert anyone to your position." He growled to Sun.
"Alright alright, sheesh. What crawled up his butt?" He asked Blake who didn't say anything.
"You're still on com's." Chief replied. He wasn't sure him being her would be safe. He didn't sound like an experienced fighter of the sorts and acted more of some carefree civilian who hadn't seen what horrid things Chief had lived through.
There was an uneasy silence until Blake spoke to Sun.
"Not really. They've offloaded all the crates from the boat. Now they're just sitting there."
"Cool. I stole you some food."
"Do you always break the law without a second though?"
"Hey, weren't you in a cult or something?"
Silence.
"Okay, too soon. Hey, buddy, whatever your name is. Do you want some food?"
"No." The Master Chief replied. "You two need to keep your voices down. They could be here-
The Master Chief was alerted by a massive turbine engine consuming the area and knocking the wind around in a blaze. He turned the safety off of his gun before sending a distress beacon towards Yang, Weiss, and Ruby if they were nearby. It had been almost two hours since he spoke to Yang and was waiting. He knew mixing civilians with operations was a sure way for them to get killed but he felt she was the one who would reason with Blake.
A spotlight from the aircraft went over the area, searching for anyone out of place. The Master Chief made sure he was under the one crate close enough to where he was completely undetectable.
Soon, it's engines died down and it landed within the main platform, in between both stacks of crate lots. The back hatch dropped and the first group of White Fang members began to exit out of it.
"Oh no..." Blake muttered.
"Is that them?" Sun questioned.
"Affirmative." The Master Chief replied. "Now do you believe me Blake?"
"I didn't want to at first... but you were right."
"Alright, grab the tow cables."
The Master Chief slowly slid himself out of the under stack before getting in a kneeling position. He kept his body pressed up against stack of containment units while standing on the opposite end of the lights.
"Keep noise minimal. Avoid detection." The Master Chief uttered into his com.
"You don't have to tell me twice." Sun responded. "Hey green guy, what's the plan?"
Ignoring green guy, he looked back and signaled for them. "I'm going to call for help. Don't move."
As the White Fang member began to attach the tow cables, Sun looked to Blake.
"You really didn't think they were behind it, did you?" Sun asked her.
"No. I think deep down I knew. I just didn't want it to be right." Blake replied to him sadly.
"HEY! What's the hold up?!" A harsh voice yelled throughout the shipping yard. The Master Chief managed to sit himself right behind the first crate closest to the plane, and looked over to see someone who he had not been expecting to come across.
Roman Torchwick.
"We're not exactly the most inconspicuous bunch of thieves at the moment, sooo why don't you animals pick up the pace?" He questioned with a saucy prance in his walk down the hatch from the jet. The Master Chief leveled his rifle. Ready to take the first shot when...
"This isn't right. The White Fang would never work with a human. Especially not one like that." Blake summarized seriously. Seeing this set off multiple negative feelings. Fear. Sadness. Anger.
Anger was the most present one; since in her hand was her weapon. When looking at Roman's cocky features it made her angry. Angry at herself for not seeing it from the beginning. Angry that she refused to believe that the White Fang had fully taken it's turn to the criminal path.
"Hey what are you doing?!" Sun exclaimed. When the Master Chief turned to the left where Blake and Sun sat, he saw a figure jump down from above the vantage point. Closer looks showed it was a visually upset Blake with her weapons drawn out as she began to run towards Roman with the White Fang members.. He settled back down to hide himself before speaking.
"Blake, stay put." He told her. There was more than one armed assailant here and rushing forward into them was a sure way to get ended quickly. He knew this all too well.
"No." She growled.
"That's an order."
"I don't take orders from you." Blake fought back. She wasn't thinking straight and was hoping everything happening before her was some kind of illusion.
The Master Chief growled as he eyed the 4 armed White Fang members... carrying UNSC standard assault rifles. He could tell that these were crisp new ones. His eyes grew a bit before he hushed into his com.
"Blake, they're armed with military grade weapons. Armor piercing." he warned her as they all carried weapons of all sorts with numerous tools to help them.
"I don't care."
"Blake, stay where you are and don't come out."
"...(STATIC)."
"Dammit." The Master Chief muttered. Blake was reckless and was going to get herself killed. He saw Roman was right in front of him. Just 10 feet away. He spotted Blake behind him.
"No you idiot this isn't a-"
BANG!
The member holding the tow cable was caught in the side and thrown back. He yelled as he clutched his knee in agony as a river of blood squirted out between his spun around and watched as the Spartan he had heard about come out of cover.
"Well," He began softly. "This was unexpected."
Roman eyed the Spartan who stood before him, and he clicked the cigar out of his mouth and to his brown shoes. "Words oh words, to what do they sum up the meeting of said armor face."
The Master Chief didn't say anything, but stood his ground with his rifle steady. He had conducted arrests for war criminals such as the rebellers Robert Watts, leader of the Secessionist Union.
"Eh, not much of a talker? That's cool, that's cool. It just saves me more earache I have to deal with a few people." Roman lectured as he looked at the Chief's gun more closely. "Ah, I know that piece. A fine addition I've added to my arsenal." Roman spoke.
The Master Chief didn't say anything but took a step forward.
"You know, if I'm correct at my counting, there's only one of you and about 15 of my men." Roman replied.
"Make it three." Blake said as she jumped down behind him, holding the blade close to the criminals throat. Roman looked behind her in sudden surprise, "What the? Oh for f-" He stopped though as the White Fang members all pointed their weapons at them.
The Master Chief cursed under his breath at how reckless she was. He told her to stay put, but yet again, it would seem curiosity killed the cat.
Or was about to.
"Nobody move!" Blake yelled at them as she kept Roman still with the blade just inches from his skin. Roman knew better since he didn't at all seem afraid. He wasn't afraid which categorized him as a fool. Fools weren't only danger to themselves but to others.
"Woah! Take it easy there little lady," He drawled out as he looked at the Chief. "And tin man. I've got no quarrel with you. So why don't you let me go and we can work a deal. I have a nice stack of lien in my back pocket if you let me off."
Chief responded by silence.
Blake didn't seem to buy it as she observed the men all surrounding her. Blake took the chance to reach up and tear her bow off. The Chief watched it as it went sailing in the air.
"Brothers of the White Fang, why are you aiding this scum?" She asked them with pleading eyes. The Chief almost gagged in disgust at how she spoke to these men. They were killers deluded by their own hate to cause more trouble than the kingdom needed.
"Hehehe, oh kid. Didn't you get the memo? Did any of you?" Roman asked as he chuckled further. None of them nodded, and he took it as an insult. "My dust you're all up nowhere creek without a clue of a paddle."
"What are you talking about?" Blake asked him aggressively
"The White Fang and I are going in on a joint business venture together. Maybe with some other boys on the playground too. It's just amazing what a few stacks of bills can do. It's get's you all the coolest toys and gizmo's for me."
'Tell me what it is or I'll put a little end to your operation." Blake warned him as he continued to laugh.
"You've got groove, smooth moves." Roman jeered her as the turbines suddenly picked up. The Chief looked to see the dropship suddenly pick up off the ground.
"But I wouldn't exactly call it a little operation..." He told her as he watched the dropship pick up. The Chief looked over to the left to see two more dropships descent towards them. Different though, more sleeker in design with more powerful engines. A lighter coated frame with less armor, probably for troops being dispatched.
As they were distracted, the Chief looked at Roman again to see him smiling. He saw something move underneath Blake, but saw one of the White Fang members level a rifle at him and pulled the trigger. The Chief saw the flash and felt the bullets fly.
Mission Start.

"Weiss," Yang panted as she rounded the corner, dripping in sweat with a visibly drained with Weiss behind her. "We can't," Yang began but almost lost her balance, "fail Blake!"
They had both been running for over an hour and were beyond exhausted. They couldn't figure out which docking port and had accidentally gone to the wrong one and then got lost. Yang's mapping skills weren't as sharp as she thought they were and she ended up taking them in one massive circle, much to Weiss's dismay.
"I can't... Feel, my lungs!" Weiss shouted back at her, when Yang looked over at the right she caught sight of her sister with that weird girl.
"RUBY!" Yang shouted as her sisters head snapped in her direction.
"Yang? Penny c'mon!" Ruby yelled as she rushed down the road with Penny close behind. The orange haired green eyed girl smiled happily.
"Sure friend Ruby, who are they?" She pointed to Yang and Weiss, "Are they also friends?"
"Yang what's-" Ruby began as she looked at her sister who was sweating. Before she could continue there was a sudden discharge of rounds blasting off the walls. Then an explosion. A few actually. Penny and Ruby both stopped and looked at each other, before looking behind to see a torrent of smoke climb above the buildings.
"What's that?" Penny questioned as Ruby gasped.
"Oh no." She muttered.
"That's Blake! Hurry up!" Yang shouted again as she jogged down the road.

The Chief dodged another round as he dove behind a container unit. A thug rushed him with a cleaver in hand and struck at the Chief but his initial attack was countered by a headbutt to the face, effectively knocking him out.
A smoking hole was coming from the Chief's shoulder as he scrunched his face up, trying to keep himself pressed up against the metal. When he looked around the corner he saw Blake pick herself off the ground and shake her head.
"Get to cover!" He yelled at her as two White Fang members rushed him with swords. He moved back to miss the slash aimed at his stomach and raised his rifle up to block against another, then he swung his rifle like a club to knock out the first one. Next he felt something smash against the side of his head and saw dust fill his vision, then a kick to his face. Then something stuck him in the stomach.
The second white fang member who punched him in the stomach screamed suddenly when he felt his knuckles shatter from punching the Chief in the abdomen. He was silenced from a swift backhand to the face that sent him flying face first in the container unit. The Chief turned around and got hit a few more times by three more attackers carrying UNSC standardized assault rifles. He shielded his face from the shot bouncing off him as he reached down to grasp his rifle's stock before firing back at them.
As the Chief was narrowly escaping the bullets path, Blake had to roll forward as Roman shot at her with his cane; that shot out explosives. She leaped, rolled, and dodged each one with Roman on the other end. She managed to slip behind a post to compose herself.
Roman lowered his cane and loaded another shell in it before briskly walking toward the post. He listened to his firing squad empty their clips at the Chief which took care of the 3rd thing to do in his to do list.
"Here kitty, kitty, kitt-" Roman stopped when a banana peel slapped him on the top of his head. Snapping his head up to discard the fruit, he had about 4 seconds to react to a foot that struck him in the face, smashing him in the ground.
Sun rolled forward after stomping Roman and front flipped on his feet. Hd turned slowly, "Leave her alone." He muttered seriously.
Roman got off the ground with an angered demeanor, with a handful of his guns for hire dropping out of the first drop-ship.
"You're not the brightest banana in the bunch, are you, kid?" Roman taunted as he sent the goons forward to pin the tail on the monkey. Sun grinned ear to ear as he got close enough to an attacker and stuck his fist out.

The Chief uppercutted the last of his attackers, sending the poor hired gun flipping back completely and landing flat on his face and breaking his nose. He sprinted over to Blake who kept her back pressed against the podium and leveled fire with the shooters across from him. A few bullets pinged on his armor but it didn't bother him. She didn't seemed injured but was visibly shaken from just barely getting blown up. She glanced up at him and narrowed her eyes. She was half expecting to be berated. He didn't respond with anything along the lines of 'you should be more careful', or 'you're foolish for running out there.
He said the opposite.
"Are you alright?" He asked her as she nodded. Feeling slightly more in control of her emotions.
"Fine." She answered flatly.
"We need to help that-" He stopped though to watch as Sun effortlessly dispatched four of the White Fang members without breaking grace in water like motions. His limbs moved like they weren't attached but being pulled in without any strain. The heel, or fist, or the red and yellow weapons he was carrying would hit an opponent and knock them down the first try. It was almost a blur he way he fought them and knocked the white fang members down like pins.
The Chief who had his rifle raised, simply lowered it while looking at Blake who shared a look with him.
Where did these people come from?
The Chief felt something hit the back of his head and he spun around, firing at two more white fang members who fell to the pavement. Both injured with a bullet wound to the stomach. They'd need medical attention for those and he needed them alive.
He looked back for Blake to see her fighting with Sun against Roman who was easily able to fend off both. The cane was like a mind of its own: being able to block and detect each incoming strike before they did.
When He saw Roman begin to slip up from Blake's last attack, taking this as a chance to incapacitate him. The Chief raised his rifle and took aim at him. But before he could fire at him, something heavy crashed into the side of his face and sent him off to the side in a kneeling position, causing his gun to fire off and roll out of his grasp. Getting up to look at the right he was suddenly kicked in the jaw and sent back by a larger man with tan skin. He wore the white fang clothing, but carried a massive chainsaw in hand. He picked up the Chiefs rifle before throwing it in the bay, making the water splash up.
The Chief groaned inwardly before looking down to see one a red clever on the ground.
Roman was kicked in the face and sent back over the pavement to roll back. Getting in a kneeling position he looked up to see a single container unit above, before he took aim though something red caught his eye.
"Hey!" A distant yet squeaky vocal voice called from afar.
Red.
Wait, he looked to his right to see Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee. And some orange haired girl her never seen before with green eyes.
"Well, hello, Red! Isn't it past your bedtime? And you miss money bags, don't you have a silver spoon to lick?" He asked while looking back at Blake and Sun who stood above him with their weapons ready. He spun a heel under both of them and looked back at Ruby who had her attention distracted. Leveling his cane. He shot a single round at her. Just before he got his leg frozen by an ice crystal. He looked up at Weiss's weapon was poured just centimeters from his face. "Oh you've gotta be kidding me."
"Are these people your friends?" Penny asked innocently to Ruby.
Ruby, who had her head turned to tell Penny to leave was suddenly launched back by the rocket blast. She fell back and rolled a,few times with her scythe in hand.
Not enough to break her aura but stun her. Penny, who had formed her first real bond felt a new emotion occur in her central mainframe system.
Anger.
The Chief moved back as the crazy chainsaw, wielding man sliced through the podium and hit the ground. He had already been grazed across the chest once and the metal for this chainsaw want normal. It cut him. His armor. How did it do that.
As he back up against a container unit he sensed something in his scanner. Suddenly, a certain blond haired bombshell landed,in front of him facing the chainsaw wielding man.
Yang.
She rolled her hands up her hips then to her chest while brushing her long strands past her shoulders before cracking her knuckles. "Hang on." She said while rolling her hair back behind her shoulders, she gave the obviously confused attacker a good smile. "Can't mess my hair up. I don't want to wreck it," She stopped when she shot forward, smashing her fist right in the guys face and sending him straight through a blue unit. "When wrecking your face." she flashed Chief a grin before seeing his cuts and bullet dents. "You sure like to maim yourself."
"It's a living. We have to get Roman alive."
"How alive are we talking?" Yang asked while, cracking her knuckles. She had a score to,settle with these guys for hurting her friends. As Chief looked to the left and saw Roman barreling against Weiss's sword like a skilled musketeer.
Her form was that of elegance past down through many generations of practice. Romans form was that of a deadly art combining slick and calm swift movements. Both of which made their of attacking each other appear as if they were dancing.
The Chief heard the whizzing of the explosives and saw a trio of gatling guns spinning at him From the airship. When it Buena to fire his sped through sense kicked in and he saw the bullet exit the chamber. Grabbing Yang by her shirt's collar, nearly ripping it in two, and pressing her against the blue Schnee unit until the bullets stopped, he used his body as a shield.
He felt the bullets slam into his back dozens of times, causing him to almost squish Yang with his size.
Weiss was forcibly picked up and thrown to the side by Roman, and looked, over to the right to see that same orange haired girl... With flying swords?
They followed her movement. As swift as wind, and made any form She wished. Like the waves beating against the current.
Ruby who was still dazed from the blast for up to see Penny fighting off the goons like a superhero. Or some fabled character from a story she read.
Penny shot two swords back and sent herself back to the warehouse. Almost like a puppet with strings she flew like a bungee cord with her tools following her every whim. Multiple swords exited from a backpack on her back and formed into a circle pointed directly to the twin dropships shooting at them. A green energy filled the center of the swords, and fired.
Ruby watched in amazement as the beam fired from Penny's barrage of swords. Then gazed at the two bullhead that were cut straight through the center, causing the occupants to drop out and into the platform below.
The two parts of the dropships then fell straight into the water, causing a massive splash to rock the port. Penny shot three more swords at the second one trying to take off with one of the shipments, then she suddenly yanked it with such force it smashed into a giant stack of Schnee crates. They exploded.
Weiss began to get up but felt someone grasp her arm. Not in a threatening way but soft and urgently. She looked up to see Blake helping her off the ground. "Are you injured?" She asked her, Weiss shook her head.
"I'm considering these people are not coming quietly." Weiss questioned while glancing at the remainder of the White Gang who got up and dusted, themselves off before charging. Blake nodded before becoming the first attack by them with Weiss taking down three at a time.
The Chief breathed heavily as his back was dented from the shots. He pushed himself off of Yang and felt something burning on the back of his right shoulder. He didn't look at Yang and ignored a voice trying to call him, he looked over at Blake helping Weiss up, and saw her send out a glyph to a shooter who was sent flying into the water. She took a breath in before yelling. "Blake! Stop him!" he pointed to Roman.
Roman backed off and knew he had to get away. He began to run to the dropship with its door opened and ready to take him up. "These kids just keep getting wei-" He was hit so hard by something heavy that he hit his face inside the cabin. He was pushed roughly to the floor and spun around on his back.
He was currently being held down by the Chief.
How'd he get here so fast?
As the dropship picked up the Chief slammed him in the floor. "Who's your supplier?!" he headbutted him. "Who!?"
Blood dripped out of his nose, Roman groaned as his nose was bent in an unhealthy direction. "Wouldn't you like to know." Roman said as blood came up from both his nose and mouth. He spit in the Chief's face, making him throw him across the cabin. Roman rolled through on his back and pointed the tip of his cane at Chief's stomach and firing. The Chief flew back and shot a hand forward to grab the ledge of the bullhead. He looked up at Roman with hate filling his eyes.
"What a glorious ride of tragedy. But to answer your question to whom is granting me all these benefits, remember that you should keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. But in this case," He pointed the cane at his face as a large figure came from behind him out of the shadows. Getting a gasp from the Chief.
"You?" He uttered.
Roman nodded then added. "Sometimes your friends become your own enemies."
Roman then slammed the door right on his fingers. The Chief lost his grip and got pulled back.
He didn't fall far, but felt his back hit something metallic, denying it and causing him to flip forward numerous times and into the ground. Rolling forward he sat on his knees, and saw Weiss, approach him. He ignored the dullness he felt in his shoulder and tried to walk forward.
"He's getting away." Weiss told him.
Roman frowned... Before taking a headcount of team RWBY and the two newcomers. When his eyes met with Blakes, he smiled at how Blake was directly below the last Schnee dust unit that was above her. The Spartan had hit it before bouncing off to the ground making it shake and nearly rip from the cables. If he couldn't get one of his things off the to do list at least he can get a bonus for killing the cat.
Adam would be pleased.
The Chief watched as Roman pointed his dangerous cane at him he braced himself to get out of the way. Then suddenly switched to above him and aimed it. The red flourishing explosive round found its way at the lifting unit meant for the shipment crates in top of him. The engine sparked and then detonated, causing the line holding it began to snap. Weiss watched as the podium, beside her snapped under the pressure and knocked her back, and the entire frame began to tear.
Yang looked over at Ruby and yelled. "Get out of the way!"
The Chief saw where Blake was standing. Right under the blue crate. Time seemed to slow as he shot forward without registering it in his brain. It was like a reflex had suddenly kicked in within him without warning, like he'd seen it a hundred times and knew exactly what to do. The Chiefs legs moved like a circular blur going faster and faster until he was feeling a pain in his heel. Pushing himself to the point he felt the stinging in his shoulder vanish.
Blake was there one second, and gone the next from an almighty force. All she felt was a sudden push from behind, and then she skidded across the ground like a tumbling weed. There was a massive crash that shook the ground and caused dust to stir up.
Yang was sent back by the force of it and Ruby used her scythe to hold her down.
And then laughter. Very unsettling laughter. It echoed off the units like a bouncing ball.
The containment unit fell on top of the Chief and nearly made his knees buckle backwards. He tried to catch it by lost his balance.
Blake was sent out of the way by him just in the knick of time, but he wasn't as lucky.
He felt the wind leave his lungs and gasped loudly. When the smoke cleared after a few seconds, a white fang member holding a chainsaw ran to him and held the weapon high with both hands. The skinhead chuckled loudly with his mask barely being held together and said.
"Just like sardines in a can! SNACK TIME!" The crazed member yelled as he swung down on the most vulnerable spot on the Master Chief; that being his visored face.
The containment unit held down the Chief's left arm and his right arm was the only thing he could have used to grab the blade, but it was too late to stop it. The last thing Chief saw as the chainsaw's sharp blade met his forehead, was the cloudy lifeless sky.
The ripping sound of metal occurred when the chainsaw met at the very top of the Master Chief's forehead, and soon began to cut down. The man shook from the Chainsaw's blade nearly slowing from the alloy putting up resistance but soon to tear it down.
As soon as the Master Chief felt the chainsaw make contact with his forehead, he tried shaking his head back and forth to shake off the lieutenants assault, but was held firmly in place and can only feel his skull begin to feel as if it was going to be ripped apart. The screeching noise ripped at his eardrums. He saw lights flashing before his very eyes, and wondered if this was truly it.
He began to smell a horrid stench that entered his helmet and watched as his HUDS mainframe begin to flicker on and off and soon shut down completely.
Ruby, who watched what was happening, shot off her scythe at the back of the man's leg, causing him to go flying up and land flat on his face. Yang growled as she grabbed him by the same leg and tossed him up in the air upside down, before slamming her fist right below the man's jaw. Causing him to crack the pavement with his face. He rolled in his side before spitting at her. "Can't get blood out of your her miss."
The tanned white fang member groaned once, and was kicked in the side from Yang who placed a foot in the chainsaw maniacs back. "it's sir so we don't get confused of whose weaker here." She joked before seeing the Chief. He was still sprawled under the Schnee dust unit with the giant cut down his face. Almost instantly she gained a look of worry before rushing over to him. "Chief! Hold on!"
'Don't die. Please not now. Not like this.'
Blake rushed back to see that the Master Chief's head was cut completely in half. No. Wait. It wasn't. Just a few inches down the middle in a straight line. There was no blood. No gore or anything. He didn't move but she could tell he was alive... Just by how much? She couldn't tell.
Would he make it out of this unscathed? Or was this going to be the operation that did him in due to her carelessness. He saved her and took the blunt end of the mistake that could have been her.
Sun jumped next to Chief and looked in the line cut down Chief's helmet. Not good. "We have to get him to a hospital, call-" He felt the dead soldier suddenly spring up and grab his left arm tightly out of shock
And for the first time in his life, Sun screamed louder than he ever had before.
At Beacon, Jaune sneezed.
The Master chief was panting as he opened his eyes and gaped out of a single line through his helmet to see the worried eyes of Ruby, Blake, Weiss, and Yang.
Sun was trying desperately to get the Chief to let go of his arm.
"AH GET IT OFF! THE ZOMBIES GOT ME!" Sun shouted as he got the Chief hand to let go of him.
There were all cluttering him and trying to ask if he was okay too quickly. Yang acted the most rationally when she slipped her fingers under the edge of the containment unit, and began to pull up. Her hair grew wilder as the flames seemed to glow quicker with each oncoming ounce of strength she could muster. The blue tanker rolled off of chief and he sighed in relief.
"Sierra... Are you-
John didn't say anything, but sat up and without hesitation, twisted his helmet off and tugged it off of his neck. The cool air at the docks touched his skin and he let out a breath in content. He dropped his now destroyed helmet before opening his eyes and looking down at his lap, specifically his helme with the now large cut down the center... And saw Team RWBY staring at him with wide eyes.
He turned around towards them, and for the first time Team RWBY got a full glimpse of the face that was John-117.
"Oh..." Ruby began.
"My..." Weiss continued.
"Freaking..." Blake said next.
"Face..." Yang finished.
"What are you staring at? We have a fight to finish." The Master Chief as he stood up and kicked his helmet off of his lap. He took back his assault rifle before looking over the devastation caused by that little girl with orange hair, Penny if he remembered.
"Sierrha... Your face."
"What about it?" He questioned.
"She meant to say that your bleeding, on your forehead." Weiss said as she pointed to his face.
She stood in front of him and pulled something out of her back satchel.
"Bend down." She said to him.
"Not now, the missions not over yet." When he got up fully he looked around the crate yard to see many of Romans thugs had been taken down, but the lead mastermind was nowhere to be seen. Angrily the Chief slammed a fist on the side of a blue crate while cursing. "Dammit!"
"Language!" Ruby shouted from afar.
Weiss's left eye twitched.
(10 minutes later)
The Master Chief's left eye twitched as he sat on a knee and Weiss dabbed his face with a piece of dust infused cotton t stop the bleeding.
"There, we can't have you bleeding everywhere now." She commented as she threw the dust off and John stood up, feeling quite humiliated.
"You know... You're not THAT ugly." Yang said to John.
"YANG! Don't be rude!" Ruby chastised Yang. "Looks aren't everything."
"Okay fine." Yang stopped. "I give a 6.9 out of 10." Yang mentioned.
"Funny." Chief murmured. He looked back at his helmet before sighing. "Police will start to quarantine the scene, and start asking for questions." He then felt the scratch become a scab on his head. "It was close." He told them.
"If it were me, I'd wear it with enthusiasm." Yang told him.
"If it were you you'd level the pier." Chief reminded her about her care for her hair. Yang resisted the urge to flip him off but gave him a smug smile.
"So, wanna make up with Blake before we're all taken in for questioning, because you know I'm just great with law enforcement." Yang told Chief with a matter of fact tone.
"Don't talk to them. Beacon's representatives will deal with them." He told Yang as she looked at him again.
"What difference does it make? Also," Yang pulled her arm back and punched Chief in the shoulder. He shifted a bit from the hit and frowned at her.
"Why did you do that?" He asked her.
"Stop hurting yourself, and in top of it." She punched him again, this time in the gut. "That's a thank you."
"Right... You're welcome." He nearly gasped. She wasn't being a pushover. "What for though?"
"A few things. I could kiss you but you like getting hurt a lot so I think this sufficed." Yang added with a head tilt. He looked at her strangely. Yang laughed a bit at his reaction. She was expecting sputtering or a little bit of blushing from being offered a kiss but he didn't look at all perplexed. Curious but that was it.
"It did." He told her.
Weiss finally looked over at Blake and said, "I need to talk to you Blake."
Ruby looked nervous at an oncoming conflict and spoke fast. "Look Weiss, it's not what you think, she explained the whole thing. See, she doesn't actually have a bow, she has kitty ears and they're actually kind of cute..." Weiss raised her hand before Blake looked down at her feet.
"Weiss, I want you to know that I'm no longer associated with the White Fang. Back when I was with the-"
Weiss yelled, "Stop! Do you have any idea of how long we've been searching for you?" She paused to take a breath. "Twelve hours. Just for today. That means I've had twelve hours to think about this. And in that twelve hours, I've decided..."
They all looked at her with worry.
Weiss then looks at them all. "I don't care."
Blake looks visibly surprised. "You don't care?"
Weiss shook her head. "You said you're not one of them anymore, right?"
Blake shook her head. "No, I-I haven't been since I was younger-"
Weiss stopped her again. "Ah-bah-bah-bah-bah! I don't want to hear it. All I want to know is that the next time something this big comes up... you'll come to your teammates. And not some..."
She stopped to look at Sun disapprovingly. "Someone else."
Blake was moved by it, and She shed a single year before nodding."Of course."
Weiss smiles and nods. The moment is serious for a second more until Ruby screams:
Ruby cheered. "Yeah! Team RWBY is back together!"
Weiss looked over at the Chief, before saying his name. "Um... Mr. Master Chief?"
He gave her his full attention.
She closed her hands before saying. "I wanted to apologize for my earlier actions. What I said to you about, you know. I never meant any harm but was caught in the moment."
He nodded. "Apology accepted. I've learned that my real family were my friends."
Yang leaned down. "Oh you poor guy." she said show wrapping her arms around his neck. He stiffened as he felt her hair brush his face. He smelled it, and got a full scent of berries and something else. Not really
"Let go of me." He told her.
She didn't.
He didn't move but sat there, contemplating if he should shove her. He chose not to, not only was he in a rather bad position to try and stop her, but it wouldn't look good with police to shove her off him. "Please stop." The Chief almost sighed in defeat, finally accepted it before looking over at Weiss who crossed her arms.
"Don't worry Chief, the only reason Weiss is acting this way is because she doesn't know how to be nice." Yang said as Weiss gawked at her.
"T-that isn't true!" She almost yelled.
Sun stood nervously off to the side who felt like chopped beef, before Weiss whirled around and pointed at him. "I'm still not quite sure about how I feel about you!"
Sun laughs nervously before the Chief stood up and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Relax. He managed to stop a few of them from getting away." She gave him a look as he nodded. "It's true. If he wasn't there Blake would've gotten hurt."
"Hey you weren't just standing out there doing nothing. I mean you took a chainsaw to the face man, that's hardcore." Sun complimented the Chief.
"Don't remind me." The Chief said as Yang came up to him.
"Chief, if you're ever looking for a place to stay, our rooms always open. Weiss's bed that is." She told him as he raised an eyebrow.
"What?" The white haired girl asked like she didn't hear it.
"She saw what happened to your home. It was ruined." Blake said to him as he nodded.
"It was, but lately I haven't had time for sleep." He looked down at his helmet before sighing. The ringing of the chainsaw still lingering in his ears. And now come to think of it... Why was his back suddenly stinging?
Ruby suddenly remembered something. "Hey, wait a minute... Where's Penny?"
"Penny?" Chief questioned. Ruby nodded.
"Yeah she was a friend I made, but where did she?" Ruby looked around but couldn't seem to find the little orange haired girl. Chief didn't pay much mind to it, however he was a bit skeptical of said girl since she used a laser to tear through a bullhead like butter.
He'd make a report of her later since the video feed captured by his helmet wouldn't be of much help now. As he got up he noticed that the same person who had a chainsaw was being lead to the police cruiser by two officers. He pushed lightly past Weiss and Blake, "Listen, I have to go now, we'll keep in touch." He said as he silently walked away.
"Bye Chief!" Yang shouted to him as he waved off the shoulder toward a stationed warthog. He didn't stop to observe the numerous crowd coming from around behind the yellow tape, but took account of how many cameras were around him. Not that he was worried since nobody knew him, but he would rather avoid unneeded attention.
All in a lousy days work. No matter. They would need their sleep.
Training... was about to commence.

Elsewhere.
"So, this is him?" Mercury questioned as he eyed the body in pooled blood. "Gotta say, I'm a bit hurt."
"Why's that?" Emerald questioned.
"They didn't leave any for me, that's why." Mercury whined while nudging the near lifeless form.
"Can it, both of y'all." Roman said. "Since you took a day later than expected, I lost half of my equipment. And the dust!" Roman threw his cane at a window, casuarina the glass to shatter. "All because of those girls, and that tool."
"Tool?" Mercury questioned.
"The Spartan." Roman corrected. "You know, USNC."
"Unlimited super not cool group" Mercury guessed as he lightly kicked the marine in the side.
"Not funny." Roman groaned while walking over to retrieve his cane.
Cat girl and monkey boy were annoying, little red and her bimbo sister were a real pain in the neck, and to top it all off the heiress of the SDC making a round was intriguingly entertaining.
Now that he knew she was at beacon, she would be easy for the taking of needed to.
"Seriously though, what's with the deadbeat?"
"Snvucdtfc." The man uttered through broken teeth.
"Sorry pal, run that by me again?" Mercury asked the guy while leaning down.
"Leave him alive, we've got all we needed." Roman said as Cinder chuckled.
Their plan was in motion.
And the UNSC were hopeless to stop it.
"Hey wait a damn second," Mercury said as he leaned down to the downed man with the wool bag over his head. The guy they saw wasn't only dark skinned, but a hell of a lot shorter. Mercury yanked it off and looked in the battered eyes of a beaten White Fang member without his armor, but was wearing Avery's military garb instead.
"Son of a- I GAVE YOU FILTHY MONGRELS ONE JOB! One! And you screwed that one up just like this!" Roman cursed while shoving a table with a tv on it to the ground, smashing the screen and sending shards to sprawl over the ground. "It's a matter of fucking time until he shows up with a group of mercs knocking on our doors." As he said this his scroll beeped and he yanked it from his white overcoat to look at the person calling. "Oh no... Not now. Not him." He muttered.
On the screen was a letter, M.
"Can this day get any worse?" Roman seethed as he began walking towards the back alley to beat up one of the luckier goons that got away.
Without him knowing, this day wouldn't compare to what the future held.

A transport freighter landed on the tarmac. It's engines soon deactivated and the massive cluster of metal with wings sat there for a moment. After but 3 minutes the back compart drop doors and a group of flight control exited first, followed by a few of the flight navigators, and then finally a heavily built man.
He was 6'2" with clean cut black hair that formed a beard/goatee. He had shining brown eyes with a serious mundane face, not at all at ease or too up on guard. Like he was studying the area before him with a humorless look. While taking account of his surroundings with calmness.
He was wearing a military cap that covered his graying hair, and donned a CPO military garb. The outfit consisted of a vest with top and bottom pockets that connected on the sides. The vest was attached with a neck guard with dual yellow stripes that cropped around the neck. Underneath the vest was a neck high UNSC standard shirt that cut off around the wrists.
Wrapped his elbows were two elbow pads composed of ballistic armor with inner dark green kevlar straps, and the same could be said for both of his legs. Which were heavily armored as well. Around his waist was a thick utility belt with numerous compartments.
The man looked toward his left above the trees, hills, and vast gulch and saw the school he'd been briefed on before entering the planet's atmosphere; Beacon Academy.

"It would be more accommodating if I was given a heads up for your arrival." Ozpin told the man in front of his desk. The man in front of him was older, but physically fit for a man his age. He'd give him that. Not to mention a hardened jaw with a set of piercing eyes.
"No plans can keep the wheels from turning Ozpin, especially when one of my cadets is under your belt. Your lucky he didn't kill any of your students." The man informed him. Ozpin raised a brow before resting his elbows on the desk.
"The hyper lethal level gave that sort of idea away. I was a bit surprised myself when I was given the news of his lethality rates." Ozpin looked down at the scroll with a distasteful look. The police had been all over him after the events of the docks just a few hours prior and the council was getting on his back even more now and giving him more difficult news to deal with.
"He was trained to be unkillable, I just made sure he could deal out that with an extra 10%." The man told him. "From what I can tell that's where you and I have something in common."
Ozpin's straightforward eyes blinked. "Clearly, although I'm surprised someone of your ranking has decided to drop by this planet. On such short notice no less. I must say, people will be coming here far left and right if this keeps going on."
"Civilian transports from other planets have been denied entry indefinitely until this Grimm problem has been dealt with. Not fully, but just so the numbers are at a stable range" The man told him. "Creature attracted to negative emotions, now I've seen everything. Although from combat practice, they're weaker than our primary problem." He said while thinking back to the planets being blanketed in glassing beams.
"Yes but to eradicate all the Grimm, thats..." Ozpin sighed. He was quite literally old enough to know that wouldn't work. "Then I'm afraid you'll be here trying to end a hopeless battle, the Grimm haven't left since the dawn of mankind." He said this quite frankly considering he was there from the start.
The man chewed his cheek. "We're humans, we adapt to survive. Someone who has everything thrown at them will eventually throw everything back at you, which brings me to my first question." The man stopped and asked. "Where's the Master Chief?"
Ozpin crossed his hands. "Why do you need to know? I still don't have a proper introduction."
The man rubbed his shoulder. "God made man, I made the Chief. I'm Senior Chief Petty Officer Franklin Mendez. I need to know where he is." He introduced himself. Ozpin smiled slightly at that.
"Your his leading officer he's spoken about. Well I can start by saying he's here. He's here as an unauthorized instructor to the school. He hasn't begun yet due to some, uneventful times currently." He talked mainly about the big scuffle (lightly that is) at the docks which caused the city council to blast him due to his negligence.
"I was under the assumption he'd be on Harvest," Mendez muttered rather hoarsely, "We are in a war right now with numbers not in our favor, but to my surprise he's here as an instructor. That's quite the thought." The aging man muttered.
"Why is that?" Ozpin asked.
"Chief, although his success in the field is high, his social skills aren't the best. Maybe not by civilian standards, but not great." The Senior officer looked around at Ozpin's office and hologrammed images. "It's interesting, I didn't know of the wealth this planet held before since most of its technology was outdated compared to us."
"Like?"
"Water based travel, we usually fly over it, and so far after reading the reports of your water's I'm glad it's that way. On the way over I heard a few stories of something looking like a shark in the waters."
"What does this have to do with anything?" Ozpin questioned while rubbing his eyes.
"To get over here, it wasn't easy. I met a few sailors working at the docs. They were unfortunately attacked over the waters after transporting this rare material, dust. Few of them said they even saw it. 60 foot black fish." The man replied. He clearly remembered the description from the still shocked sailors. Dark flesh that couldn't' be told differently from the dark waters. Massive fins that would smack a boat clean in half. Only thing you'd see before being gobbled up where the two ginormous red eyes that roll back into its skull as it chomped down and bit you in two.
"The Grimm have been on Remnant since the dawn of mankind and have recently become more aggressive at the public. Specifically operatives under the United Nations Space command. Care to elaborate on that?"
"Can't say that I can, but from what I was informed of the Grimm are very attracted to fear."
"Every negative emotion you can think of brings them like moths to a lamp."
"Considering your circumstances it sound like you're on verge with a war you can't win."
"No war is unbeatable, impossible to be forgotten but not unbeatable."
"I can relate to that, we haven't been as lucky as you. The human race could very well be extinct in the next decade unless we figure out a solution to our problems. My problem being the whereabouts of my spartan."
"You said you made the Chief, how well are we talking?" Ozpin leaned over the desk.
"Because I trained him to be the best. And he'll deliver... all you have to do, is this." Franklin then finished as he handed Ozpin a data pad he was holding hidden under his arm.

"And here's the last one." The medical examiner said to Chief with a pair of tweezers in the Spartans left shoulder blade. Chief grinded his teeth as the last bullet was extracted and set to the side it a metallic tray pan. The armors back panel has stopped a few of the bullets from fully entering his body but a few did manage to slip past the heavy back plating. They weren't lethal but a good portion of them had to be removed to avoid infection and to determine if there would be any severe damage.
The back was a vital spot, there was the spine, central nervous system, tendons, ribs, and a plethora of arteries connected to the brain.
Thankfully there wasn't anything too dangerous that a normal medical professional could do.
He sat without his armor and back fully exposed, but a pair of black shorts to compensate instead of a patient gown.
"For a group of standard street gangs, they had firepower to them." The doctor named Jaime said. He lifted up the bloody bullet and examined it. "Light Armor Penetrator rounds. Did you know
"No." Chief lied. Of course he knew of the stolen weapons. With the amount of resources being sent here there was always a chance of a cargo shipment being lost... Or stolen in this case. Who was the supplier? Chief still had no idea.
"Still, you should be given sedatives for the time being. Those wounds were not fatal, but they'll be aching for a week without proper pain medication." Jaime took account. The Spartan was stubborn, that was for sure. He wouldn't allow to be put under or to even allow a single ounce of morphine to enter his system. He explained to the doctor his body would run the medicine out before it even begun it's work. He knew that was nothing but fiction.
"I'll take my standard meds." Chief asked while sitting up and wincing a bit from the blazing ache in his back. While he had taken some powerful painkillers for his augmentations there were a few exceptions. One being his current residence on a hostile planet. You couldn't risk being drowsy during the moment of a grim or Bandit attack.
"Your sleep medication options are Temazepam and the Zaleplon. Which do you choose?" Jaime asked while beginning a prescription on the data pad to order.
"The Temezepam." Chief asked since he had taken it and knew it could give him a few precious hours of sleep and keep him that way.
"Alright I should inform you of the kilograms concerning the dosage, you'll start with the standard 30mlg. Once a day 12 hours apart. No other medications can be mixed with this. Is there anything else I should clear up?" The medical examiner questioned.
"No." Chief replied while hearing a cough next to him behind the curtain and a few shuffles. Jaime stood up and walked towards the curtin and yanked it back. Chief turned his head toward where Jaime stood with a unamused look and he took a sharp breath.
There on the edge of the medical bed with bandages wrapped around his head was The lost drill instructor; Avery Johnson! He was shirtless with his chest and arms bound in bandages, his left arm in a cast while his leg also wrapped in some thick bandages.
"Sir!" Chief saluted him while taking a stand.
Avery raised a hand. "Hold your horses," Avery grouted with a cigar in mouth while fiddling with a lighter in the other hand. "If you could find a working lighter then you can call me sir, until then Johnson'll do."
Jaime walked right over and took the lighter and held his hand out. "No smoking. I've told you this more than once."
"Yeah, yeah." Avery straightened his jaw before setting his eyes back to the Chief. "So what're you in for? No wait don't tell me, Goldie gave you-"
"It was a few rounds from a heavy machine gun, a frigate class from Vale equipped with it." Jaime stood while lifting the pan holding the 18 bullets removed from the Chief.
Avery's eyes narrowed at the tray and he kicked his, legs out from the bed. "Those weren't stolen, someone gave it to them."
Chief turned his head to the ground and closed his eyes. "I think I know who it is... But I have one question... How did you get here?"
"Ask her." Avery pointed to his pillow. Chief didn't understand what Avery was referring to. He thought the drill instructor was still under effects from the meds until he saw the pillow shift. Under the light blue blanket came a set of furry ears, then a soft pur.
The pillow was pushed to the side and out came a cat. A familiar cat based off chiefs memory since he had only seen one in Vale.
"After slipping out of my confines and breaking one of their jaws, I kept getting a yowling. I thought I was my ruptured ear drum," Avery stopped when the cat jumped off of the bed and walked over to Chief and stopped by his leg.
"Anyway," Avery began again, albeit feeling a bit betrayed, "I stayed with her until I found a com link, broke out of the warehouse and called for a pickup."
"You were there for weeks. Did you find anything?" Chief questioned while feeling the cat begin to rub on the side of his ankle.
"Most of that, I can't pin. They beat me badly everyday that I can't even remember some of the weeks." Avery straightened his back. "There was... I can remember voices. A few names. I know there were points of interest to why they were gathering the dust, but that's it."
"Maybe this will jog your memory. Roman and his gang." Chief told Avery.
"What about em?" Avery asked while rubbing his side where he had been burned by Cinder.
"He's a smaller play to this. Cinders taking orders from someone outside of Vale." Chief told Avery while rubbing the cat's head softly behind the ears. He didn't know why but it was slightly comforting. "The Insurrectionists stole my suit from my living quarters. They were able to disable the tracker and makeshift explosives installed."
"Only a Spartan could know that... or someone who helped build it." Avery began to cross the points here and shook his head. "ONI would be having a fit if it were true." Avery stopped for a moment to take his water off the table next to him and stared at it. "No matter what they say, it always ends up this way."
"What's that?"
"Being in charge of another brigade." Avery said to Chief. "On the way over I heard about your plans with the only first years... What'ya have planned Chief?"
Chief only straightened his jaw.

RWBY DORM
XXXXXXXX
"That's... very sad." Blake said to Yang as she got back in the room. Yang had explained to Blake what happened after she left, more importantly the reason Weiss apologized to the Master Chief and him accepting it without a second thought.
Specifically about his parentage. His lack of parents, persey.
It wasn't rare for someone to enter Beacons grounds without parents. Students here without parents were part of a system of children who were given up by parents to save them the grief of losing them to a dark dangerous world, or lost them and joined Beacon for a vengeance against the forces of darkness. There were many stories to be held by the lack of parents. Blake had many accomplices in the White Fang who were orphans. Illiya for example, her parents were killed by the same people who worked for the Schnee Dust company. Some resentment was held towards them just because of that.
Blake was a special exception where she joined to avoid her parents and avoid the whole concept of seeing them. It was a combination of guilt and bitterness to them. While she wanted to go outside into the kingdom to make a difference her parents wanted her bound to their large home in Menagerie.
She wasn't ready to get back in contact with them. After hearing of Tukson's refusal to depart based on him staying to keep an eye on her meant that... Maybe they still cared, and listened to what she had shared with them. She wasn't proud of it and she doubted if her parents forgave her.
The words that were exchanged could never be unbroken, and her relationship with her mom and father would never be the same.
Back to what her partner told her, Blake felt slightly bad for him. Not enough to get all touchy feely like she was, but all the same she held a good amount of remorse for him. The Master Chief had a sort of distance to him, the same kind that any person who had been through a lot in their life had.
Although this could be a way for Yang to make Blake feel bad so she would try and be nicer to him, because Yang was getting sick of having to hear Blake's rambles on how Chief should be ashamed of being a murderer. She knew Blake wasn't going to apologize for the way she would act, Blake's reason was that he was strong enough to will it out and sort through it. He seemed pretty unfazed by anything said or traded vocally. He would tell you what you did wrong and name your problems, but wouldn't jab you until you couldn't stand anymore.
That was one thing commendable about him. His restraint. She knew he could cause a good amount of damage and he was quite dangerous. He had singlehandedly taken on her, Adam, and a raging Yang. Yet he still lived to tell about it without a single ounce of aura to be activated.
She on the other hand could be bitchy when she wanted to. Her reasons for her hostility towards people were for her dissolution of the White Fang. A group of fauna she joined to rebel against the harshness humans had treated her. She made many mistakes of what she had done. She lied. Cheated. More than likely killed a good amount of honest people who didn't deserve to die. And on top of it got people who she didn't want hurt dragged into this.
The Chief was someone who was not afraid to die if he is willing to throw himself out in front of her partner. That was a definite trait that she could not forget. His inability to feel fear wasn't commendable but imprudent.
"Being left in the dark like that can, make you feel less," Weiss told them. "When I was younger my mother would tell me your parents effect is what makes you today."
"Than I guess your parents are misanthropes." Yang told her.
"Hmph!" Weiss huffed at them, not only because Yang couldn't have been more right but because she wasn't in the mood to talk about them.
"He's not a, bad person," Yang said about the Chief. She couldn't really say much about him since his stature to many things were pretty vague. "I don't like the way he acts but, he's someone I can stand."
"I'm not either..." Blake admitted slowly.
"But I can say I'm not fully good either." Yang told Blake suddenly. "You have to let it be Blake, I've done selfish things too." Yang spoke to her without mentioning it. What she was speaking of was her attempt to look for her mother when she was younger with Ruby. Of her uncle hadn't looked for them and found them he wouldn't have them... but dried blood.
The Grimm didn't leave anything behind when they ate their victims. Not even bones.
Yang forgot about that and said, "I'm not going to think about that. Well not as much, we're not going to be judgmental."
There was a sudden silence in the room as they got their things together and ready for bed, when Ruby spoke. "I still want to make cookies."
"Cookies?" Weiss asked suddenly, "what possessed you to make cookies?"
"I eat them whenever I was sad." Ruby told her. "My mom used to make them for me and Yang." She told her. She had vivid memories of her moms cookies. She'd make them on cold days and set them out on the table in the kitchen for them before going off on her mission. Her father had tried his hand at baking once... Once and he wouldn't hear the end of it from her when she came back to see the kitchen scorched. This time it wasn't from Yang getting her hair cut.
"Oh..." Weiss said. It was a touchy subject but she switched around and said. "I'd be more than glad to help make them."
"Really?" Ruby asked with sudden interest but then grew excited. "Then we better start making them!"
"Ruby, its 10PM, we have class in the morning."
"So, if Yang can use her semblance than we can heat the oven in minutes." Ruby said with Yang looking at her sister and laughing at her antics. "I know because-"
"Drinking milk and baking aren't similar! One's consuming a beverage while the other's crafting pastries" Weiss yelled. As the two bickered and Ruby started pulling the ingredients out. "Do you even have any idea how much hormones are in milk?"
Ruby accidently dropped a tray of eggs, but it was stopped by her chest that stuck out enough for her to catch it. She looked at Weiss who was staring slack jawed and replied. "No? Should I?"
Weiss looked at her chest, then at Ruby's.
Milk + flatty = SIZE
While Weiss was having a mental meltdown over a younger girl having a chest larger than hers, Yang went over to Blake and hugged her. Blake stiffened at it but soon pulled away.
"I'm, thank you?" Blake said, not sure at how to respond at the display.
"Just try to not run off again. Kay?" Yang said as Blake nodded. "Hey," Yang said, "did you stay at that guys house for three days? Suns?"
"What?" Blake asked as Weiss and Ruby grew silent.
Yang jumped into the bed Blake was on and asked. "Suns, did you stay with him?"
"No, I rented a room."
"With who?"
"Myself and my lien, that's who."
"Hmmm, just wondering Blake. I can't worry about my partner?" Yang asked while leaning on her elbow.
"You can, just not now. Tired." Blake turned over and closes her eyes. After a few noiseless seconds she grumbled. "Yang, go to your bed."
"Don't wanna. It's soft and warm."
"Because that's not a pillow!" Blake yelled as she kicked Yang off her bed, making her partner laugh while jumping into her own bed.

It was 4AM and the sun hadn't come up yet. As Team RWBY slept, their door silently opened. A pair of eyes blinked and observed the rooms occupants. On the outside there was muttering, before a few confirming 'yes's' were heard. The door closed again, and. everything was silent. Nothing stirred besides the sound of the air conditioning unit reverberating off the walls from the ceiling.
Until.
"WAKE UP!" A shrill gale sounded.
With precise control the door flew right off the hinges, almost like a cannon had shot it off.. Heavy footsteps of a few men then rushed in the room with a pot in one hand and a spoon in the other. They then proceeded to ban the two together, making it bounce off the walls quicker than it could be done.
"UP! UP! UP! UP! LET'S GO! LET'S GO! LET'S GO!"
If there could've been a contest to see who got out of the bed first, then Ruby would have taken the gold at how fast she flew out of her bed and straight into a wall.
Blake was a close second when her sheets flew up and on Yang who was an easy third as she managed to jump out of bed but slipped on the blankets that wrapped around her feet.
Weiss was last to get up as she was being strangled by her own sheets and the shock of hearing yelling, slapping pots and pans next to the sounds of sheer horror from her friends were only making things worse. "W-what!" Ruby stammered as she took her eye mask off her eyes.
There were 4 men. All in uniforms. Army fatigues. And they each carried a glowing stick.
"Up and out! Now!" One of them yelled.
Team RWBY, stifled at the screaming and yelling men did as they were told. Even if they were in their PJ's.
As they exited their room, they saw Team JNPR in the same boat.
"Who are these people?" Jaune asked as he wore his signature baby blue bunny onesies.
A few pair of the men didn't show it, but in the inside they were shaking their heads in shame at the boy's choice of sleepwear.
They were all guided outside the school, and soon saw team CRDL was waiting.
"Who the hell are you?" Cardin shouted.
"Stand down citizen." One of the armed marines roared in his face. Before Cardin could retaliate, he felt a surging jolt in his back and screamed out. It felt as if someone jabbed a smoldering fire rod in his spine.
Too bad for him it was a stun rod, and he was just loaded with about 7,500 volts. Not lethal, but enough to burn the skin.
Both teams watched as the leader of CRDL was assaulted a few more times with the shock batons, scared and frightened.
"In the humvees, pronto." One of them ordered.
"Where are you taking us?" Weiss questioned.
"Don't worry," a voice said as Ozpin came up. "You will all be taken care of... Just as long as you stay inside the lines."
"Headmaster?" Blake questioned. "Who are-"
"No questions, please enter." Ozpin guided them to warthogs.
Without much questioning, they all got into the backs, and drove off into the morning sunrise.

AN: It's been a wild couple months. Busy with life and really not really motivated to write these stories. I've felt obligated to finish these but wanted to go onto other projects I've been thinking of. There just comes a time where the show has to go on, but eventually the show gets old. Not to mention I recently found out someone had stolen one of my stories and posted it as their own on Wattpad.
After a rough couple hours trying to get that cleared up I came here to push out a chapter that was originally written two years ago.
I added a few adjustments with everything going on since I wanted to catch up with the series.
Anyway, leave a review on how the chapter was.
Bye.
