A/N: Left you waiting long enough. Carlisle lovers will slightly get their heart broken in this chapter. I'm not hating on him, in fact I adore him, but his part as a father in this story is different.

Chapter 21

Once I entered the room I immediately started to search for a place to put down the twins. Lia was wide awake now and Mia asleep. I've gotten used to it, one of them was always awake unlike Philine and Zach. The two of them could sleep at the same time, but no the twins had to take turns in sleeping. It wasn't a lie when I told Edward it was a miracle that they've once fallen asleep at the same time. Oh Edward, he's the main reason I'm here today.

If it really turns out that Edward didn't know of my pregnancy with EJ at all and that his father pulled the strings, then I surely do owe him an apology. Which still doesn't mean I was going to forget everything he did. Even after that he's hurt me by leaving with bitch troll Tanya Denali. My trust to him was still broken and it will take some time until I can fully trust him again, the way I did before.

''Please sit down.'' Carlisle said politely and gestured to the big white couch in the middle of the room. I nodded and placed the twins next to it. I could still see them and didn't want to leave them out of my sight. I thought Carlisle was an honorable man, but I was wrong. I don't know what he is capable of.

And the decision to go into his room all alone.. I regretted it. After all I had the twins with me and wasn't alone.

I sat down and was quiet. He went and grabbed two glasses and poured in some water for me and wine for him, without even asking what I wanted. Thank God that he did not sit next to me. Instead he went and sat on the couch in front of me, leaving a few meters between us.

''I assume you have some questions, otherwise you surely wouldn't be here.'' Carlisle told me casually. He took a sip from his wine, but his eyes were glued to me. I took in a breath. Why was he making me nervous?

''Yes. I want to know why you pretended to be Edward back then. As you now know, I know that you wrote the letters to me and not your son.'' I said and tried my hardest to sound as confident as possible. Though my voice came out weaker than I had hoped. Focus Bella.

''It's simple. I didn't want you to destroy my son's life.'' Carlisle replied and shrugged. He didn't seem to notice that with his lies he destroyed my and EJ's life.

''Destroyed his life? How? I was simply asking for support. Nothing more nothing less. And I think I don't have to remind you that it takes two to produce a baby?'' I snapped, suddenly filled with so much anger and rage. Did he really think it was only my fault?!

''That is exactly the problem. With you asking for money, everyone else would have noticed it. They would have known that my son knocked up the poor little girl from next door. I saved his future and life.'' Carlisle answered, still relaxed.

''First of all I think Edward was old enough to decide on his own. Secondly you destroyed you grandsons life by lying. How can you be so cold?'' I hissed. I suddenly pitied him for being so heartless. How can you just think about career and money and not about your flesh and blood.

''Cold?'' He laughed. ''Edward was a teenager. He didn't know what consequences and problems a child would bring.''

''Because he never knew what it means to be a father!'' I shouted. I bit on my lip trying to calm myself down.

''Oh no my dear. He knew it. Don't you think I don't know that he impregnated Tanya a couple of months before you?'' Carlisle replied, a smile playing on his lips.

''So what? You accepted Tanya's baby, but not mine? It meant the same for his future.'' I told him.

''No it didn't. Tanya came from a wealthy and stable family. Meanwhile you're parents were divorced, you lived with your father who couldn't pay a single bill until he of course climbed his way up with my help. You should thank me, I made your father rich and brought your parents back together.'' Carlisle smiled, his finger circling the glass.

''Why should I care? My parents never supported me. And you only brought them back together with money. They're not in love with each other, I know that. So no I'm not thanking you.'' I hissed through gritted teeth.

I couldn't show him how much his words actually hurt me. He was right in a way. My parents weren't together, in fact my mother married a bunch of other men and my father was lonely and couldn't pay anything. He lost his job as the chief of police when I started high school. I know that Carlisle helped my father. He helped him build his company, though until today I couldn't understand why he did it. Why help the father of the girl that your son knocked up?

''Why did you help him? You had no reason.'' I asked, curious to know the truth. Carlisle let out a chuckle.

''Oh Bella isn't it obvious? I know your father would have told everyone who the father is. After all he had nothing to lose. So I fulfilled one of his biggest wished, to have his own company. After that he didn't dare do say anything.'' Carlisle explained.

I wanted him to talk and shut up at the same time. My own father chose money over his own daughter. But he was right. Deep down my father always wanted to be like Carlisle. He wanted to get out of Forks and be rich, have a good life. He surely couldn't do that with me and EJ. We were a fucking burden.

I couldn't stop the tears from trickling down my face. I felt betrayed. Not only from Carlisle, but from my own family too. How can people just think about money? He raised me for 17 years and then just dumps me for freaking money.

''I never understood you people. How can money be everything you care about?'' I murmured between sobs. I know I was showing him how weak I was, but I didn't care.

''You're misunderstanding. I love my children very much. That is why I did the things I did. And even your father doesn't just care about money.'' He said.

''Of course he does! Otherwise he would have supported me!'' I exclaimed furiously.

''Bella don't you understand? It was always you. You were a burden to everyone. And you know what? Yes you're parents got together because of money at first, but they did fell in love with each other again. And now they're happy parents of another daughter and son. Believe me they adore their children. They are exactly how Renee and Charlie wanted a child of them to be. Smart and respectful. They fit into their lives. You don't. You never have.''

''You're lying! You're fucking lying! That's the only thing you are capable of!'' I yelled and stood up. Carlisle replied with a smile. He put his glass down and walked over to his bedroom. He came out with an album in his hands. He pulled out a picture, but the album suddenly fell onto the ground and several pictures were on the floor. Must have been an old and full album, otherwise pictures wouldn't just simply fall out.

I bent down and collected some pictures and he did too, though he was anxious searching through them, as if he was looking for a certain picture. I then reached for a picture and briefly looked at it. It was a picture of him and a blond woman that I recognized immediately.

Tanya's mother. My eyes widened in shock. His arms were wrapped around her and I knew the look in their eyes. It was a look full of love and adoration. That little bastard. Luckily he was occupied with collecting the other pictures so I quickly put the picture of them into my jacket pocket.

''Here.'' He said and handed me another picture.

On the picture were my parents with two little children. A boy and a girl. They were dressed nicely and smiling into the camera. Behind them were my parents who were looking down at them with so much pride. I couldn't take all of this anymore. My own parents left me and decided to build a new family. They completely forgot about their first born and didn't even send me one dollar.

They were having a great life while their daughter and grandson suffered for years.

I wiped away my tears and handed him back the picture.

''If you think this is the last time you saw me, then you're wrong. Trust me. I. Will. Make. You. Pay.'' I said sternly, pronouncing each word. Suddenly his constant smile vanished and he looked at me in surprise. I turned around grabbed the twins and walked out of the door.

I meant what I said. I will make him pay. Starting by exposing him to the world what a man Carlisle Cullen is. I had enough proofs. Starting with what he did to me and his own family. It is right that he had or still has an affair with Tanya's mother, then that surely will mean the end of him.
