Hi! I hope you enjoy the chapter! Thank you for reading, enjoy!
"Ms. Tama," Kagome said, she walked up to her and smiled.
Kaede smiled back and waved her hand in the air,"Kagome, ye may call me Kaede, being referred to as Ms. Tama and in my age makes me feel old, child. Sango had told me that ye were retrieving the papers for the parents."
Kagome nodded and went around the desk to get the papers Kaede was holding out. "These are just newsletters for the parents to know that there will be a meeting for any who are concerned about their child."
The raven haired girl made a quick scan on the paper, they were the ones Sango described,"Thank you Kaede. I'll see you tomorrow."
Kaede waved goodbye with an courteous smile and watched the girl leave. The elderly woman went back to separating the papers and sighed,"I should be retired."
"Yes ma'am," Kagome said into the phone, right after leaving Midoriko's Preschool, she was being called by her mother.
Mrs. Higurashi wasn't able to pick up Souta from soccer practice and she was asking if Kagome was able to. She didn't want her son to get lost in the streets of Tokyo, even if he knew his way around.
"Thank you dear," her mother said on the other line.
Kagome hung up and looked over her shoulder, Souta's soccer practice is by the park, but I have to go on the other side of the city to meet up with Hojo and the others.
She remembered about the little high school reunion she had with her friends, and they wanted to meet up with her in a little place called the 'Sakimitama Palace'. If it wasn't for her old high school friend Yuka, for advising the get together, she would've forgotten.
Kagome looked at the time on her phone, it was two in the afternoon and it started at three. "I've got time," she said to herself, walking over to her car and starting it. Her luck vanished in seconds when her car didn't start. "Eh?" she tried one, twice, three times and she got the same results.
"C'mon you stupid piece of ughh!" she shouted in frustration.
There was a tap on her window and Kagome looked, she slightly frowned at the sight. Inuyasha was standing there with a smug look on his face and his bike helmet on his head.
The guys like a hero, always showing up out of no where and saving the day, She thought, getting out of the drivers seat and walking out. "What are you doing here? I thought you were with Miroku and the others in the hospital."
"Sango took Kohaku and Shippo to her place, the boys haven't had a wink of sleep and it's pretty damn uncomfortable sleeping on a chair. She said that you'll be here to pick up some papers," Inuyasha told her.
Kagome beamed at him, maybe he can give her a lift to drop off her brother at the house, let her change out of the clothes and still have time to go to the reunion. She thought about it for a minute, but didn't motorcycles only let two people ride on them? Her house wasn't too far, only just a block away from her job.
Inuyasha stared at her, she was quiet for quite sometime now,"Uh Kag-"
"I'm sorry to be asking and causing trouble for you, but can you please take me to the park to pick up my little brother?" Kagome asked him, she hated to cause a hassle with the guy. When it was Rin's wedding he dropped her off to her home and has helped her in more ways than one.
"Wench you are too busy, you know that right," Inuyasha said, giving her a helmet and then sitting on his motorcycle. She stared at the helmet then at him. He raised a brow,"What? You waiting for something princess," he teased her.
Kagome blushed and gripped on the helmet, she inhaled deeply before letting out a sigh. After placing the helmet over her head, she went over to the motorcycle and sat behind Inuyasha. Her heart pounded in her ribcage when she wrapped her arms around his waist.
"I-Inuyasha," she stuttered his name. He tensed up at her calling him, he would've turned over his shoulder to look at her, if it weren't for her scent clouding his senses and making his demon blood go crazy. He cleared his throat. "What," he said too gruffly.
"Thank you, I must be bothering you too much," Kagome said honestly and gazed at the side.
"Keh, whatever wench it ain't a problem with me," Inuyasha retorted, starting his bike and knowing which direction to go.
Kagome was gripping onto Inuyasha's jacket, her hair wiped in her face making her wrinkle her nose and bit the bottom of her lip apprehensively. It was the second time that Inuyasha has taken her out for a ride on his motorcycle, she knew she wasn't afraid that they'll crash, yet…What's making my heart go crazy?! She panicked in her thoughts.
"You okay back there wench?"
She heard him ask, but he had to shout so that his voice can reach her ears and not the wind blasting in her hearing. "Yes," she answered. Inuyasha nodded and maintained his eyes in front, but he would glance at her by the side view mirrors.
Kagome stared at the cars that passed and closed her eyes. This feeling, I don't know…I, Kagome smiled and held on, afraid that she might let go.
Sango flipped through the magazine pages and hummed to herself. She had taken the boys out for ice cream just before heading to her home. Kohaku and Shippo were talking about some video game that would be released the next month.
Sango closed the magazine and looked to her right, she smiled contently, noticing a motorcycle pass by. She only caught the glimpse of white and black.
"Sister!"
She had heard Kohaku call for her. "Oh," she gazed at the boys waiting for her. Shippo had chocolate ice cream all over his face. "Coming!" she ran to catch up to them.
"What happened?" her brother asked.
Sango shook her head,"Nothing, it's just a matter of time."
The boys exchanged looks, a matter of time? For what?
