Thanks Skillet for the somewhat inspirational music to help me get this chapter worked on. From exempting all my exams to Christmas shopping, I finally have time to update this chapter. :D I hope I get to upload this on Oblio's birthday and play DC3. The bottom note will result a note from the future (it sounds weird, but it'll be just for once), and it'll show what's been going on with my Christmas break. This was written on the 23rd-24th. Now, let's have Hi-Def run the show!
Guest: Lu$h is awesome! :D Sadly, my favorite of all time is M.O.C., but Lu$h would be in my top five crews. ^_^
DCFan4ever: That's what I was aiming for. :) I don't want Luce to be the one who gets a status condition, so Oblio takes the cake (or poison?) XD

~Chapter Twenty-One: Lowdown~
(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)
Next up, it concludes the last of the four crews: Hi-Def. It's rather unique for how they are dancing at around ten in the morning. Not to mention, their venue takes place underground. Actually, no; it takes place at a subway station, but it's close enough to being underground. It's also the crew that is fairly close to Lightning, who favors techno and hip-hop.
If there's one crew that Luce is looking forward to, it's Hi-Def. Since Mo found his protege, the brunette has been looking forward to seeing what the little man can do, besides the choreography he's created. Once the four made it to the main lobby of the metro system, their eyes see two guys in the middle of a crowd, doing their signature dance to start off the main event. The music playing sounds so catchy, it made the crowd who rep for Hi-Def dance along with them.
The main focus was the crew, however, so the big four didn't have to watch the awkwardness of the fans dancing. What's also a pity for Hi-Def are the fan girls going crazy for them, especially Glitch. One simple wave at them, and they go swooning. Some of them don't know his age, and some of them just scream and cheer. If Glitch was the second Justin Bieber, then he'd be just the dancing version... but much better and more cooler.
Mo can be interpreted as the Usher in the Hi-Def crew. With a few of his default songs like "Sexy Chick", his moves are slick and fun. Ironically, since Usher is a mentor to Bieber, it works for two of the crew members. When Boomy took note of the song, Luce couldn't stand the screaming of the crazy fan girls. So in order to lower the voices, the brunette searched through her purse and found her teal Beats. Listening to music would only make her ears bleed, so she's glad that she has her headphones to at least turn down the volume.
Luce sighed and cupped her headphones on each side, closing her eyes. Her crew partner noticed and placed a hand on her shoulder, hoping to comfort her. The brunette looked at Dare and MacCoy, who seemed okay at the time being, but the look on their faces looked displeased with the girls screaming at the top of their lungs. Luce sighed again and opened her eyes, sunlight from above appearing.
"Man... I'm glad I'm not that peppy like them..." "Technologic" started to play, and when the brunette recognized the song, she took off her Beats and noticed that the crowd was a bit quieter. Thank God these annoying bitches decided to shut up when one of my favorite songs are playing. As if it was a coincidence, Oblio paid attention carefully to the dance moves.
When Mo started doing the move "Kick Step Back" with such agility, Oblio's blue eyes flashed with impressiveness. The way the beat and the lyrics complimented the moves really touched Oblio. Since he's a huge fan of Daft Punk, it added bonus points for the creativity of Mo and Glitch's dance moves added in. Their finishing move shows them with their heads tilted to their left, and their body being out of place as if they were turned off robots. It was a flawless finish, and with that result, the return of the fan girls screaming with joy.
The two dancers did their ending poses as a victory. Mo and Glitch did back flips and waved once more time to the crowds that are separated from the subway tracks. When the young protege's green eyes explored the whole place, he eventually founded the four, but particularly Luce for whatever reason.
"Whoa! Diamond, you're here!" Glitch said with joy, heading to the brunette to give her a hug. Luce yelped in surprised, but laughed regardless, since it has been a while since she's seen Glitch. While that was happening, Luce can hear the fan girls complain and trash talk about her since their favorite boy was hugging her. She rolled her eyes and gave them a glare, which actually startled those who were being rude to the brunette. It was kind of strange since his head was at her collarbone, but he's still friendly as always. Waiting for him to let go of her, Luce chuckled and smiled at him.
"Well, long time no see, Glitch." As soon as he finally left his embrace, he noticed Oblio, and it sparked his brain. He revealed a fist at him, and surprisingly, Oblio revealed a small smile. He graciously returned the fist pump with the Korean.
"Hang on, am I missing something?" Mo asked. "Glitch, you've met this man before?" The green eyed boy turned his head to his mentor and nodded.
"Let's just say that I didn't only make some glitches at Dance Central's website." Mo gave his student a quizzical look. "There is something about me that you don't know. Oblio, Diamond, and the other two are here for a reason. The people here are too busy to listen to us talk, so Mo, make sure that you don't tell anyone else about what we are about to tell you."
"You see... We've met about a year ago," Oblio responded. "He's also a DCI agent." Despite wearing his hoodie, Mo looked so surprised. Even Luce, Dare, and MacCoy were shocked.
"Whaaat?" Dare said as her jaw flew down. "But aren't you like thirteen?"
"Fourteen," Glitch corrected the Japanese lady. "So it seems you three earned the ranks of being agents as well?"
"That's right, little man," MacCoy said with a cheesy, yet promising grin. "We are making sure that the crew challenges are going as they are planned." Glitch nodded, stretching in the process.
"That sounds like fun," he said calmly. "I haven't received a call from them yet, but if you need backup, then let me know."
"Aww, thanks Glitch!" Dare said with her cheerful smile. "We'll call you when we need a hand~." Her smile left when she felt her stomach rumble. "Hey, Mo?"
"Yeah, Dare?" the African-American replied.
"When's the next subway coming? I'm starving." Mo looked at the guide from above the ceiling.
"In about five minutes, the subway that is arriving from the mall will head to the main street, and then you can go to whatever food chain you want." Dare giggled with a smile and jumped on MacCoy, who amazingly caught her even though he didn't expect it.
"How's Groovy Smoothie for you, love~?" the pink-haired asked her boyfriend.
"It sounds good to me if it is for you," MacCoy replied with a loving smile. Luce smiled, admiring their cuteness. A subway appeared from their left, and the doors opened.
"Well, there's your ride," Mo said, waving to them. The brunette waved back at Mo, and with the others, they went on the train. Luce and Oblio held onto the pole that is the closest to the doors, while Dare and MacCoy sat down on the benches. A noise came from Boomy, playing an upbeat sound like a cellphone. The four looked around to see if anyone else is on the same train, and to their luck, it's just the four of them. Luce responded to the call by pressing a button on Boomy.
"Hey, guys," Rasa called out on the small headsets the four are wearing. "You four at an empty location?"
"Yes," Oblio replied. He looked at the view of the subway moving, seeing his reflection when the train headed out into the outside world. Luce placed two digits of her fingers to her earpiece, while she used her free hand to hold onto a pole to prevent from being affected by the speed of the train.
"Right now, we're leaving Hi-Def's venue," she added. "We're heading off to lunch, if you were wondering."
"Affirmative, Luce," Rasa replied through the headsets. "Lima and I have one final request for your four before the end of the day." Dare sighed as if she was exhausted from the trip in the train.
"But aren't we done with all of the crew checkoff thingy? I really could go for a smoothie right now." MacCoy calmed her down by giving the pink-haired a pat on the back.
"It's true that you are done, Dare," Lima said. "But we have one more crew to look at. Oblio, is it true that the Glitterati is your family's, or more likely, your father's rival?" After Lima asked that question, the three looked at Oblio. As it looks like he was distracted by the view, he listened.
"Yes, it's true. Does that mean...?" The bluenette paused. He'd rather let Lima explain so he can understand.
"You're right, Oblio," Rasa said into the earpiece again. "We had a couple of agents at the Glitterati's place and they just reported that they are having some sort of party. There were some competitors that gained rep for the four crews while you four were there and as an award, the crew offered them a dance battle to see if they are worthy to rep for them."
"We also have a witness that is currently spying for us at TanCorps, and he told us that Tan is planning on using his 'machines' to face off the Glitterati. That's all we got from him, but this sounds serious, since Glitterati is the cream of the crop in dancing, to them at least," Lima stated. The train started to slow down, so Luce let go of the pole. As the four headed upstairs out of the subway station, Rasa started speaking through the earpiece once again.
"Tonight at ten, be there. If they ask about why you four are here, then show them proof, which we are currently working on, since they are written invitations. You can meet with us anytime before their party starts, so I guess you can live out your lives then. Be safe and have fun."
"Got it," Luce replied. A gentle breeze greeted the four as they stepped out and witnessed that they are in the middle of the city.
"We're now heading for Groovy Smoothie," MacCoy told the other two. "Should we meet up at DCI's whenever?"
"That sounds good," Oblio replied calmly. His head tilted to Luce. "Want to get something to eat?" Luce looked back at him and smiled with a nod. Right when they were about to head off, Dare motioned a hand to Luce, and she caught a glimpse of the pink-haired waving her hand to head over their direction for a second.
"I'll catch up," Luce told Oblio. He nodded and started to walk forward, but slowly so he doesn't leave her behind.
"We'll text you when we head off to the subway and back to headquarters. MacCoy and I will probably do some shopping after eating."
"Hope you two have fun!" Luce said with a kind smile. Before the brunette could catch up with the bluenette, Dare giggled and smiled back.
"Have fun on your date Diamond~!" Dare said cheerfully, turning her head back and waving at Luce. Luce blinked in astonishment. Of course, Dare and her mouth, sometimes ruins the moment.
"It's not a date!" Luce yelled back, blushing in the process. She covered her mouth, hoping that Oblio didn't hear. She nervously looked at him, and he was waiting for Luce with a calm demeanor.
Damn... Did he hear us? Luce thought as she shivered. Oblio just smiled and started to walk ahead, Luce trailing behind until she caught up to him. The brunette shook off the pink haired British girl's response and followed the blue-haired Asian.
"Which restaurant sounds good for you, Luce?" the bluenette asked. As if her stomach was in the conversation, Luce's stomach rumbled to where she and Oblio could hear. Luce blushed while Oblio chuckled.
"It may not be noon yet, but I can go for some Applebee's right now, judging by my empty stomach," Luce replied laughing softly. There's so much time until the Glitterati's party starts, so the four should have fun while it lasts. For what Rasa and Lima told the four of what Dr. Tan is planning, what are these "machines"? What does he have against the Glitterati?

~Chapter Twenty-Two coming soon...~
(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)
asdfjkl; Happy Birthday/Christmas Oblio! (insert heart here XD) This is me babbling on about how much I appreciate Oblio so go to the next paragraph for the author's note. ;3 I think if it wasn't for Oblio, I wouldn't be as much as a fan of Dance Central. It's been over a year since I discovered the series, and it's almost been a year when I got to have my own 360, Kinect, and Dance Central. We're both Capricorns, we like blue (you can tell by the hair ;D), and he and I like hip-hop and techno.
I bet you that you are all excited for the next chapter~ God, I love Glitterati. XD Since I made many references for them to be in this story, next chapter should be where it's at. :D Twenty-one chapters later... the wild Glitterati appears! XD Didn't I already say Happy Birthday to Oblio already?
It's kinda weird for me to make references to JB, even though I'm not a fan of them. I will admit that I absolutely LOVE the choreography for "Boyfriend" and "All Around the World". I'm probably not the only one who's not happy that he joked about retiring from music. Dude, seriously... you're not cool.
So for Christmas, I got Black Butler volumes 10-11, Teardrop by Lauren Kate, $30 iTunes, $50 for both Hot Topic and GameStop, and an Axe Anarchy set. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ^_^
Review for the debut of Glitterati~ and have a Merry Obliomas. XD See what I did there?
