A/N: Sorry I've taken so long to post a new chapter. I started two new fics. Les Miserables fans should take a look at them.

Chapter 20:

Leadora awoke the next morning with her head resting on Killian's chest and his arm around her. So it wasn't a dream she smiled. She shifted her weight a little and Killian woke up.

"Good morning, love," he said softly before kissing her.

"It is now," she replied after the kiss was over, "Did I wake you?"

"No, I've been awake. How did you sleep?"

"Better than I have in a long time."

"I should probably get going. Don't want to get caught right?"

"I guess so," she sighed.

"How am I going to get out of here unseen?"

"Get your clothes and stuff; I'll use magic to get you out."

They both got dressed and Leadora prepared to send him back to his ship.

"Will I see you later?" Killian asked her.

"Yes," Leadora responded, "I'll meet you at the usual time and place."

"Fantastic," he smiled and kissed her goodbye, "I'll see you then, Leadora."

With that he was back on his ship and Leadora was alone again. She used magic to clean the room and make the bed. She began pacing back and forth letting her mind wander. What if I get pregnant? No I won't. But what if I do? What if Regina finds out about Cora being my mother? What will she do? What will King George and David think if they find out about Cora? They won't. I won't ever tell them.

This was exactly why Leadora hated being left alone for too long, her thoughts wandered and she immediately imagined the worst possible scenarios.

Leadora couldn't believe it. Her engagement ball was in three days, her fiancé would return tomorrow. She should have been happy and looking forward to it, but she was in love with Killian and none of that other stuff mattered. She would have to go through with the wedding for her father, of course, but there was to be no love in her marriage. She had thought maybe what she and David had would turn into love eventually, but that all changed when Killian walked back into her life. He was all she ever wanted and now he was right before her eyes, yet still out of her reach.

David returned the next day and they began preparing for the ball. King George had a new dress made for Leadora despite her protests.

"Really, your Majesty, I don't need a new dress for the ball. I'll have one for the wedding itself," she argued.

"Nonsense, Leadora," he responded, "You can't wear the same dress you wore to Regina's ball and the color I picked out really suits you."

After five minutes of them going back and forth about the dress, Leadora finally became tired of arguing and agreed.

The day of the ball came around quickly and when she saw the dress she had to admit it was beautiful. It was strapless and rather poof-y. It was dark blue (almost black) and had silver beading so it looked like stars in the sky. Leadora put on the dress and went down to the ball with David. She couldn't wait to get this over with.

As they stood in the front of the ballroom, greeting their guests, Leadora saw a familiar face in the crowd. She could not believe her eyes when she saw Killian Jones approaching her and her fiancé. She stared at him giving him a look that said "What the hell are you doing here are you trying to get yourself killed?"

He smiled back calmly as he said, "Congratulations on your engagement."

"Leadora," David asked, "Is this a friend of yours?"

"Yes, James," she replied as she tried to think of a fake name, "this is Prince…Liam. He's an old friend of mine."

"Pleasure to meet you, Liam," David said shaking Killian's hand.

"The pleasure is all mine, Prince James," Killian said in return. He paused for a moment, "Prince James, I was wondering if it would be OK with you if I offered our future Princess a dance."

"It's fine with me, Prince Liam, as long as it's OK with Leadora," David responded.

"Of course it's fine with me," Leadora said as Killian took her hand to lead her to the dance floor.

Leadora whispered to Killian, "What the hell are you doing here, Killian?"

"Don't you mean Prince Liam?" he joked.

"I'm serious you're going to get us both in a world of trouble."

As they began dancing, Killian said, "Don't worry, I was very careful. I had to see you, love. I've been thinking and I think we should run away."

"Tonight?" Leadora asked shocked.

"No, not tonight, but soon. I can't stand to see you marry someone else, and if we do this right we might not even break your father's deal with the king."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean if you were kidnapped and never heard from again, you wouldn't have broken the engagement and therefore your father's deal would still be intact."

"I don't know, Killian; that seems awfully risky."

"It's worth it to spend the rest of my life with you, Leadora."

"Shhh, lower your voice someone will hear you," she scolded.

He laughed quietly, "Think about it," he said as the song ended.

"I will," she said as they walked back towards David.

A few minutes later, David asked her, "Leadora, where is your ring?"

Leadora looked at her hand, "Oh, I must have left it upstairs. I took it off to do my hair and forgot to put it back on. I'll be right back. I'm going to go get it."

"No, stay right here I'll get it," he replied, "It's on the dresser?"

"Yes, thank you."

He was gone for about ten minutes when Leadora started to worry. He finally got back down to the party, "Sorry that took so long," he said, "Someone was in our room trying to steal your ring, but don't worry I got it."

"Oh my god! Are you OK, James?" she exclaimed.

"I'm fine, the bandit, however, got away," he sighed.

Little did Leadora know that her fiancé had just met Snow White, the love of his life.
