Dragon's Kiss

Igneel looked up from under the water at the feet kicking up above him, small bubbles surrounding the legs as they kicked through the water. He breathed out of his nose, bubbles of his own floating out of his nostrils and inwardly smiled. Kicking his legs and swinging his arms, Igneel swam upwards like a sea monster and surfaced inches away from his children creating a wave sending them floating away. He growled loudly, not to mention fake sounding.
"I am the terrible, monstrous sea dragon and I'm here to eat all of you!" He recited slamming his tail up and down.
"AAAAAHHHH! It's the terrible monstrous sea dragon! It's here to eat us!" Lucy yelled splashing around.
Natsu sighed and ran a hand down his face, trying to ignore the water that splashed on his face. He looked over to Lucy and saw the smile on her face as she acted scared and sighed again, for her he thought.
"Stay behind me fair maiden," Natsu recited boredly, "I shall slay the beast and rescue... rescue... Lucy? What was my line again?" He asked.
Lucy grunted, "rescue me! I shall slay the beast and rescue me!"
"Me? But I don't need to be rescued, you do."
"PAPA! NATSU'S RUINING EVERYTHING!"
"How am I ruining everything? I only forgot my boring lines." Natsu told her sticking a finger up his nose.
"You said you wanted to play with me though! If you're going to play with me then you have to be committed, and that means staying in character and saying your lines correctly!" Lucy told him.
"She's right son, don't play along if you can't get serious." Igneel said swishing his tail in the waters.
Natsu sighed. He had half a mind to just swim away and go catch some fish, but with one look at Lucy something strange happened. She was staring at him with her bright brown eyes and her bottom lips trembling. Natsu blinked and felt something beat inside him, heard something beat really loudly once. His nose scrunched up as he glared at the girl, wondering what the hell she was doing to him.
"What was my character again?" Natsu grumbled.
The way his teacher's eyes seemed to light up was unexplainable. How could eyes light up Natsu thought? It looked like a fire had just started in her eyes as they lit up by his one question. Natsu made a note to ask his teacher about lighting up eyes next time they had a class together.
"You're my knight rescuing me from the sea monster!" Lucy cheered.
Natsu took a deep breath, "I shall slay the beast and rescue me- I mean you!"
"Go Knight! Defeat the evil sea monster!" Lucy cheered in the background.
Natsu starting swimming towards his Father at top speed. He leaped up and jumped on his Father, lighting his leg on fire and kicking his Father in his jaw. Igneel stayed swimming there though like a mosquito had just bitten him. Natsu fell back in the water and growled, taking a deep breathe.
"Fire Dragon's Roar!" Natsu roared breathing fire at his Father.
It didn't hurt him though, seeing as how his own element was hitting him, and Igneel just blinked through it before smirking down at his son. If that was the best he could do to him then Igneel would have to start stepping up with his training. His attacks were barely attacks at all, though his roar had gotten bigger if only by a bit.
"FATHER! You're suppose to die when Natsu hits you and he's already hit you twice!" Lucy whined.
"Oh, right, sorry daughter. Oh nooooo! I'm dying, ahhhhhhh! Nooooooooooooooooooooo! Oh! Ah." Igneel exaggerated sinking into the water.
Lucy giggled while Natsu rolled his eyes and swam back to Lucy. He appeared in front of her and floated there, trying to recall what his next lines were.
"I have slayed the beast fair maiden, you are safe." Natsu said.
"Knight! Thanks for saving me!" Lucy cheered jumping onto Natsu.
Her arms wound around his neck as she leaned over to him and kissed his cheek. Natsu froze after what she had just done to him. What had she just done to him? Lucy smiled and started swimming over to where her Father sank in order to tell him that pretend time was over while Natsu... he tried using his brain. His teacher... had just done something to him. Something foreign, something that's never happened to him before. What had she done?
There was contact, between her lips and his cheeks. Her lips, her rosy lips, just touched his chubby cheeks. Natsu found himself sinking underneath the water as he thought about it. Her lips were wet, of course from playing in the water with him, and cold. For once Natsu Dragneel actually felt cold on his cheek, freezing in fact. Natsu blinked underwater and looked around, resurfacing when he didn't spot any legs swimming underwater.
He looked over and saw his family on land, Lucy with a... Natsu forgot the word he was looking for but knew it started with a tuh sound, it was sort of like a blanket wrapped around her that she made Igneel get her last time he went to a village. It felt soft so Natsu always used it as a pillow when he napped and then get kicked awake by Lucy screaming at him not to use her towel... Towel! That was the name of the thing!
"Are you getting out or staying in son?" Igneel asked shaking his tail.
Natsu didn't respond but swam towards the edge and got out of the lake. Lucy squeaked and turned around while Natsu flamed on to dry himself. He walked over towards his clothes with his naked self and started to put them on.
"Um, Father." Natsu said pulling up his pants.
"Yeah son?" Igneel asked trying to get the water from out of his ear.
Natsu put his shirt back on and walked over to his Father, placing a hand on his face. Igneel's eyes widened as his son kissed his cheeks and pulled away, staring questionably at him.
"What was that called?" Natsu asked.
Igneel blinked, "what was what?"
"What I just did, I placed my lips on you, what was that called?" He asked again.
Igneel blinked again, "you mean a kiss?"
"Kiss? Is that what it's called?"
"Yeah," Igneel cleared his voice, "it's something humans do to show their affection."
"Affection? What about gratitude?" Natsu asked.
"Gratitude?"
"Yeah, Lucy kissed me after I saved her from you."
Igneel's jaw dropped as he stared at his son, he then turned towards his daughter and growled out.
"Lucy?!"
"Yes?" Lucy asked coming from out of the forest fully dressed.
"Did you kiss Natsu?!" He asked surprised.
Lucy smiled and nodded, "yup! On the cheek, I read it in a book once. The knight saved the maiden so as a reward she kissed his cheek."
Igneel sighed out in relief, sure he wanted his children together. Lucy seemed like the perfect person for his son to mate with, pretty, very smart, strong and fearless enough to stand up against Natsu, but they were to young to be kissing. No way was Igneel just going to hand his only daughter to his only son unless he proved himself, and if Lucy wanted to too.
"Oh, well there you have it Natsu. That's what a kiss is, what you got was a kiss on the cheek though. Humans, who love each other very much, kiss each other on the lips." Igneel explained.
IDIOT, he called himself. Why the hell had he just told him that?
"Really? Hey Lucy, kiss me!"
See! Igneel groaned and reached for his son, wrapping his claws around him.
"No my son, kisses are special. They should not be given lightly like that, why would you even want to kiss your teacher anyway?" Igneel asked.
"I was wondering what it would feel like, how about you Father? Give me a kiss." Natsu said puckering his lips.
Lucy started giggling while Igneel growled and threw his son back into the lake.
"WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU WANT TO KISS ME SON?! YOU DON'T KISS MALES!" Igneel roared.
Natsu resurfaced and spat water out of his mouth.
"You said kisses are for people who love each other, I love you Father so I thought it would be okay." Natsu said.
Igneel's eyes widened. He blinked then reached over to his son, picking him up from the waters with his claw and holding him up to his face.
"I love you too son and just so you know, Dragons don't kiss each other. They lick!" Igneel laughed and licked his son.
Natsu screamed while Lucy tumbled over in laughter at his screams. Igneel grinned at his son and rubbed his head with his talon, messing up his hair style.
"Father! That was horrible, nothing like Lucy's!"
"Oh really? I did exactly what she did, maybe I should 'kiss' your cheek." Igneel said then licked the left side of his body.
"STOP DOING THAT FATHER! I JUST TOOK A BATH!" Natsu screamed.
He started hearing his teacher's light laughter and turned over to her. She was rolling around in the grass laughing at him. Natsu started growling then an idea popped into mind.
"Hey Father, don't you love Lucy too? I think you should kiss her." Natsu said.
Lucy's eyes widened as Igneel turned over to his daughter.
"NOOOO!" Lucy screamed running away but Igneel was quicker. He swooped her up in his claw and gave her a lick. Lucy felt her hair stand on ends as she shivered after being licked by her Father's spikey tongue.
It was Natsu's turn to tumble over in laughter now that Lucy was the one screaming. Lucy glared at her student and jumped off of her Father's claw towards his other, landing on top of Natsu and glaring.
"That wasn't very funny!" She screamed in his face.
Natsu glared back but then suddenly calmed down. He looked at Lucy's glaring face and leaned up, sticking his tongue out and licking the girl's cheek. Lucy's face suddenly went blank but Natsu's eyes narrowed slightly.
"So which was better? Mine or Father's?" He asked putting his theory to the test.
"I, I, I DON'T KNOW!" Lucy blushed stepping back.
She forgot she was being supported on her Father's claw though and fell off, but Igneel caught her. Natsu looked down at her and blinked.
"Really? To me your lips were softer than Igneel's tongue, it was all rough." He told her.
"Stop it! Just stop talking about it, I'm never going to kiss you again!" Lucy screamed, blushing furiously.
"Is that a promise? Because to tell you the truth your kiss wasn't that special, actually it was pretty cold."
Lucy's eyes twitched.
"Is that so! Well your kiss sucked also!"
"That wasn't a kiss, that was a lick. See." Natsu said sticking his tongue out at her.
Lucy growled in frustration and stomped her foot on the floor, "Papa's was better anyhow!"
Though deep down, Lucy knew the truth. Whereas her Papa's kiss was wet and rough, Natsu's kiss was gentle and, dare she think it, warm. Where Natsu grew cold from her kiss, Lucy grew warm. Natsu didn't mind feeling cold though, never experiencing being cold before, and Lucy didn't mind feeling warm, since she just came out of the lake. The two of them suddenly looked at each other and stared, before quickly glaring and looking away trying to hide their blushes.
