Since the day at his house, Callie talked to Robert almost every day. Sometimes, when they talked in the evening, she would even talk to Jill and Sofia. She liked talking to them. Robert offered again for her and Brandon to spend entire weekend with them. It was big weekend for the Quinn family. Robert's parents were in town and they wanted to meet Callie. Callie said she must check with Brandon and their moms.
''If you want, I could call them?''
''No, it's ok. I can ask. They might call you to check if we are really staying with you…''
''It's ok. Give them my number and they can call…''
''I'll call you in an hour… Ok?''
''Yes, sure…''
She got to their bedroom and found Brandon doing his math homework.
''Hey love…''
''Hey B…. Do you have anything for weekend?''
''Hm… I don't know. What did you have in mind?''
''Robert wants us to come to his house. His parents are coming and they want to meet me.''
''Wow! That is huge…''
''I know…''
''And what do you want to do?''
''Is it strange that I want to meet them and really be part of Robert's family?''
Brandon offered her his hand and when she took it, he pulled her into his lap.
''I think that it's really normal to question the other side of your DNA. You never knew about him, and he never knew about you. You have right to bond and become a family…''
''And what about moms, Jude, twins?''
''Fosters have to accept that you must experience the Quinn part too… You are already a Foster, by name and part of this family, but you also are Quinn… I think you should go and see them. Get to know them and let them see what an amazing woman I got to marry…''

They kissed ant the kiss was interrupted by Steff who just marched into their room.
''We have to talk…''
''What's up mom?''
''I got a phone call from the school saying that you applied for Hawaii…''
''Yes we did…''
''I thought it was off the table. I made sure to be clear about it. Entire trip to Boston was about you finding the school near us…''
''Mom, we don't want that…''
''What?''
''We wanted to pick where we would go. Hawaii is an option for us…''
''But… What about UCLA or Boston?''
''Mom, we have one more year for that. I want us to pick a school we like, not what you or mama like… It's our right…''
''Oh, now it's your right… But me and mama will have to pay.''
''Or we could get scholarships or student lawns?''
''Come on Brandon, be practical. This is better. Boston is few hours by plane and UCLA is also a good school near to home…''
''Mama, let us decide…''
''Fine, I will not bother you anymore…''
Steff was about to leave when Callie stopped her.
''Steff, I wanted to talk to you and Lena about something…''
Steff called Lena and she came to their room.
''Yes?''
''Robert invited us to spend a weekend with him.''
Lena was surprised with this. She didn't expect next encounter to happen so soon…
''Entire weekend? Why?''
Callie took a deep breath and answered the question.
''His parents are coming and they want to meet me…''
''His parents? Why?''
''What is so strange about that mom? She is his daughter, they family and why is so surprising they want to meet her? They want to meet their granddaughter mom…''
Steff was a bit angry and hurt by their wish to spend time with the Quinns.
''And you? What do you have to do with that?''
''I am member of the family too… I am her husband…In a way, they are my family too…''
''Wow! Your family… That is rich coming from you Brandon…''
''Why?''
''I believed we are your family?''
''You are, but so is hers family….''
''Wow!''
Steff was getting a bit passive aggressive and Brandon was getting tired of that.
''Mom, tell me… Are Lena's parents part of your family?''
''That's different…''
''No, it's not… He is my wife's father… and they are her grandparents… So they are my family too…''
''Fine, go and be with YOUR family…''
Steff left the room and Lena just sat in silence. Callie felt bad for what was happening . She knew they were not happy about her father's existence.
''I'm sorry Lena…''
''What for?''
''For wanting to be part of his family… I… I want to find a balance and make sure no one is hurt… But… I want to be part of his family too. He is my dad…''
''Dad?''
''Yes, he calls every day. I skype to him and his family almost every other day and I really like them. They already told me that Brandon and I are welcome to visit any time.''
They didn't hear Steff coming back…
''Wow! He speaks to you every day? Who did he ask to do that?! I will call Rita. No one asked us if we were ok with it….''
''Why did anyone have to ask? He is my father…''
''Oh, so now he is your father? Where was he when you were in all these bad homes and in trouble…? Where was your perfect father?"'
''He didn't know I existed… You can't blame him for not being there… He never knew of me until recently. And if he knew…I am sure Jude and I would be living with him…''
''Maybe you should go and live with him since my family is not good enough for you…Same goes for you Brandon… Who doesn't like this family and the ways it works, can leave this house right away…''
Callie's eyes were full of tears. Lena was shocked and Brandon was angry. When they turned towards the door they saw their entire family at the door. Mariana looked at them and couldn't believe what she heard. Callie had a dad and they all knew about it. Jude was not angry, but sad… Callie had a secret form him… Jesus and Mariana went to their rooms a bit angry but Jude stayed at the door and just looked at Callie.
''You have a dad?''
''Yes, Rita found him few weeks ago…and last week me and Brandon went to his house. I wanted to tell you, but we were never alone…''
''Is he better than Donald?''
''Yes… He is very nice and he has a wife and a daughter…''
Jude came to Callie and hugged her.
''I am happy for you… But, does that change us?''
''No, you will always be my brother Jude. I promise…''
''Can I meet him?''
''Sure, I think they want to meet you too…''
''I am happy for you Callie… You have a family now…''
''You were always my family Jude…''
''I know, but now you have Brandon…and your dad… and…all of us…''

Lena took Steff out of the room and Brandon went to the bathroom. He gave Jude and Callie some privacy.
''Will you go to live with him?''

''Jude, no matter where I live, you will always be my family. I promise…''
When Brandon came back to the room, Callie was sitting on the bed and crying.
''What is it love?''
''Did she tell me to leave her house?''
''Callie…''
''I am not sure what to do…''
''Do you want to live with Robert?''

''Things in the house are unhealthy and I think it would be the best to leave. I can't stand my mom anymore and I feel like any moment I would just snap. She treats us like crap and I don't like it. I don't think she is being fair to us. Just say the word and we are going there…''

Callie picked up the phone and called him.
''Hey Callie…''
''Can… Can we stay with you?''

''Can Brandon and I stay with you?''
''Sure… What happened?''
''Steff... I think she kicked me out…''
''Do you want me to pick you up?''

Brandon took their big suitcase and packed their things. In smaller one he packed their books and things they needed for the first few days besides their clothing. Lena was serving dinner when they got down with their things. They left them by the door and went to say good bye to the family. Steff didn't see the bags because she was getting things from the fridge.
''Take a seat. Mama made casserole.''
''We are leaving.''
''What?''
''You said that Callie should leave this house and since she is leaving, I am leaving with her…''
''Brandon Michael Foster, you are not going anywhere…''
''I am… We are leaving moms…''
Lena was on her feet within the seconds.
''No, you are not going anywhere…''
''We are… Mom was clear… If we don't like it here, we are free to go…''
''Steff didn't mean that…''
Brandon turned towards his mother…
''Did you mean that?''
''I stand behind what I said…''

Lena tried to keep them in the house and to get Steff to apologize. Other kids were frozen in their seats. Brandon took his and Callie's phone, sent message to Robert that they will be at the corner in five minutes and deleted al there was in the phones.
''Our phones… We will not be needing them…''
Steff turned pain. Thar was her way to know they are safe and where they were…
''See you at school mama and the rest of you…''
They took their things out and walked towards the street corner where Robert was. He and Sofia helped them with the bags and the ride seamed too short for Callie. She was so sad and felt very abandoned again. How could Steff do something like that to them? Jill was at the door waiting for them.
''Hey, let me help you with things… Sofia and I got the pool house ready for you… Follow me…''
Pool house was beautiful. It hat big living room with a kitchen and it also had two bedrooms. Master bedroom had huge bed and amazing surrounding system. Brandon found it funny that they had big TV and all the things they dreamed of having in the apartment for independent living before he got her to escape Girls United and marry him. Other room was a bit smaller but it was still bigger than the room they had in the house. It was still unreal to them that they left the Foster household and that they are with Qunns..
''Just so you know. You are welcome to change whatever you want. It's your home and we want you to feel like it's yours and not something ours you are using. I hope we can work on making this more home like for you next weekend or whenever you are ready… We'll leave you to settle in… Sofia and I got some food and soda into the fridge, but we can go shopping for whatever you need tomorrow after I come from work. We have to get things for the weekend too so we can pick up what you need… You can call me when the school ends…''
They were uncomfortable a bit…

''We don't have our phones…''
''Ok, I will handle that. I will add you to the family plan and get them to you tomorrow at school… Is that Ok?''
Callie nodded…

''Don't mention it… You are family…I might not be your mother and you may never see me as that figure, but I am your friend and you can count on me… Quinn family sticks together… And you are part of it…for life now… Soooo…. You better watch out…. ''
Callie hugged her…
''Honey, it's ok… I promise…''
''I just… You have so many reasons to hate me…''

''I always knew about your mom and how much he loved her. She was his first and probably biggest love, but I am his wife and we have a good life together. I have no reason to hate a dead person who left us something important…you… You matter Callie… You are important… To me, to Sofia, to your father and especially to that boy….who pretty much left his home and family to be with you… You are important person Callie… remember that…Breakfast is at seven and then we leave… Robert will take Sofia to school and I will be your driver for the day. We need to get you a car and phones… I will make sure to finish that tomorrow… See you in the morning…''
Jill left and Callie went back to the bedroom where Brandon was. He placed their things into huge closet and he turned towards the door as soon as she came in.
''Hey babe…''
She came to him and just kissed him… After she broke the kiss she led him to bed.
''I love you Brandon Foster. I am so lucky to be your wife and I will never forget what you did for me… You are my knight in shining armor… You saved me in so many ways and I love you so much…so…so much…''
They made love and afterwards they cuddled up in the middle of the bed. Callie's head was on his chest and he was stroking her arm and hair… All of the sudden she started laughing…
''What's funny?''
''This bed is huge… Look, we are in the middle and… there is so much space… Like we could fit three more people at least…''
She smiled at him…
''Good to know… Maybe after some college party we can bring someone in…Just for fun…''
Brandon got serious all of the sudden…
''You want us to…. You know? Have sex with other people…at the same time?''
She started laughing so loud that he was scared they would hear them in the house…
''I was joking. I am not interested in anything like that… I promise… But it came so easy after your comment about space for five in this bed…''

They fell asleep in their new home tired of the day they had ahead of them. But aside from being tired and sad, they also felt safe and in a new way at home… It was almost like when they lived after getting married. Jill and Robert gave them a pool house and personal space. That meant to them a lot and they had every intention to fulfil their expectations and behave.
